Having one person working the desk, AND being responsible for hooking up trailers takes way too much time (30+ minutes). Especially when there are 4 or 5 other uhaul employees in the lot that could have been helping. The return process on the other hand...when I arrived at the cocoa branch, it looked like there were 5-6 returns ahead of me. And there computers were down. I dropped the trailer and was done in less than 5 minutes. Metairie operations could learn a LOT from the cocoa operations.

ALEXIS AI had reserved a trailer and a dolly to move a huge fridge. When I showed up, they told me they only had the trailer at that location—no dolly, even though I made the reservation a week ago and it was confirmed. They told me I could drive to another location to get the dolly. So I went, but when I got there, they said the only dolly they had was already reserved. And there weren’t any others available within a 30-minute drive. In the end, I couldn’t move the fridge myself and had to return the trailer, wasting time and money. I ended up having to pay the seller for delivery, which cost way more.

Jed DI returned the trailer on Monday and the man working the yard that received it never reported it to the inside person. I was called on Tuesday notifying me that I was late returning the trailer, I told the caller that it was returned Monday which was a day early. I got a receipt via email indicating it was returned Tuesday.

DONNIE FThis was the worst experience of my life!! No one wants to work anymore. The girl who did everything was clueless on so many things. She tells me which truck to go to and I took the pictures before leaving. Truck started right up but when I got to my first destination, the truck would not start. Come to find out THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG KEY! How it started at uhaul is beyond me. So I had to be INCONVENIENCED AND WASTED AN HOUR AND HALF OF MY TIME TO GO BACK TO UHAUL TO SWAP KEYS. I called and spoke to a manager on the 1-800 number who had everything figured out that I was to just bring the wrong key back and swap it for correct one. I get there and one of the employees that KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE SITUATION decided to insert himself in something he obviously knew nothing about telling me I WAS NOT LEAVING WITH THAT KEY UNTIL I BROUGHT THE OTHER TRUCK BACK which I DID NOT HAVE THE TRUCK IN QUESTION, JUST THE WRONG KEY. He was very RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND BASICALLY A HORRIBLE PERSON!!! The other young lady whom I am guessing was a manager and I cannot remember her name was very professional and understanding. She told him it was taken care of and she knew what needed to be done!!! I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN FOR ANYTHING. I know this means nothing to such a big company as I am a small fish in a big pond. MELISSA HAll went well. I reserved an open trailer only a few hours in advance. It was ready upon arrival. After checking in at the service desk, the trailer was hooked up to my vehicle by friendly personnel, a lighting safety check was performed and I was on my way. Upon return, the trailer was promptly removed without me even getting out of my vehicle.
NICK MI got some clothes stolen here while moving in. My gut says it could have been my fault but I was bummed to know that the staff had nothing to do about it e.g. no camera footage. They were very expensive clothes so it sucks. Otherwise and with everything else this is one of the best staff I have met at any U-Haul

KHALED AY’all gave it to me with a 1/4 tank of gas, I returned it with a 1/4 tank of gas, but somehow I was charged for 2 gallons of gas - like $38. Really!! Been doing this same or similar rental for years with yall and today is the first day someone has ever charged me a BS gas charge. I knew when I didn’t see the guy that’s worked there for a decade wasn’t there I should figured out something else. Totally let down by uhual today. Such a shame. Guess yall like fraudulently charging for gas that wasn’t missing.

The incline into the facility is crazy and makes it very difficult to roll your carg to your car, I may have given 2 or 3 star review but Sandra definitely ruined that when she yelled at me over the phone for no reason on the day I moved out.

Michael P | First ImpressionsAlthough there were no food items, everything was covered with rodent droppings. A lot of items were damaged with large holes chewed through them although they were inside heavy-duty plastic storage containers. Most of them were new bedding and clothing items. Picture frames were eaten. Items were also mildewed. When I first rented the unit, I noticed a black bait box in it. I guess I should have gone on a monthly basis to throw rat poison inside the unit. I thought I would only be renting the unit a few months, but I was diagnosed with cancer and my plans had to change. I paid rent for 22 months. I left on Jan.18, 2024. My rent would have been due on Feb.4, 2024. I rented a truck from them to move out. I asked Brad what I needed to do to end the contract as I was removing everything. He said that Ms. Slyvia would see it in the morning and take care of noting it. I swept the floor before I left. When I returned the truck to a different location that same day, the office was closed and I had to notify them by email. Then I called the 800 number to make sure everything was okay. The woman I spoke with was told about the condition of the unit and that items had been ruined. I said that I hoped I didn't bring any rodents home with me. She said she would pass the message up to management, and someone would call me. No one has contacted me. My rent was by auto payment on the 5th of every month. They had the gall to email me 2 days ago to remind me of my upcoming payment withdrawal. I spent a lot of money to store these items, and I thought they would be safe. I'm very disappointed, bur if I ever need to use any storage unit again, I know I will bait it myself. I rented a pod from another company for over a year and never had one problem. Nothing was damaged by rodents, roaches or rain. Nothing was ruined by any means.

We moved to FOUR different sets of units & didn't leave until after 7 p.m. (we made it back with the truck @ 12.17 p.m.) The gas was put back at half of a tank, the then other employee comes in with an attitude as if he didn't see us sitting in the rain, inside the truck FOR HOURS waiting to put our things in storage. Our card was overcharged, reimbursed, charged, reimbursed, then charged again. We FINALLY spoke with the GM, that day, he had an attitude. He was supposed to call us LAST MONDAY, still hasn't called us about the issues if that day, the fixed price of THEM giving us TWO units, or overcharging us! If the U-Haul on Central had the services we needed, we would have NEVER went here! I wouldn't recommend THIS U-haul if the services were FREE!
