LESTER H | Overall ExperienceDon't let an untrained novice handle a customer at the front desk, when there are other customers waiting. The process to rent a trailer took almost 45 minutes, with three customers deep in two lines. When I arrived and parked my truck, this same novice was cleaning a returned truck, (windshield), so I was surprised that when I got in line in the store, that she stepped in to help me, and couldn't even log in without someone guiding her.

TERIZA AI was alloted 30 miles for the entire 4 day rental. Uhaul Florin is 4 miles from my old house. My new house is 35 miles from my old house. Then 3 miles to drop off at Uhal Roseville. To be charged $90 for over milage when I wasn't even alloted enough miles to go one way is absolutely ridiculous.

Ladre SThe person assisting me initially informed me that I could drop the U-Haul at any nearby location close to my destination. However, when I dropped the truck off at the U-Haul location on 6099 Watt Avenue, North Highlands, they called me back and told me that my truck wasn't eligible for an "anywhere drop-off" and needed to be returned to the original pick-up location. When I reached out to the person who had originally advised me otherwise, instead of explaining the situation, they simply told me to contact the complaints department if I had any concerns. Overall, it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Richard CThe entrance and exit to the location is congested. Especially trying to enter or exit the location when several customers are trying to leave or return their truck. There is a back entrance (alley) that should be opened up for customers to return the truck with no hassle. To keep the area secured they can use a key pad to punch in a code to open the gate.

EILEEN SAwful awful , everything about my experience. Thank you for lending me the truck , but overall I wish I would have just rented the truck I originally requested online . Originally I ordered online - 4min from my home. I was called by someone named Josiah he asked if I would be kind enough to rent a truck near Arden / el Camino. He would upgrade me to a 26 foot truck for the price of the truck I rented . Due to helping by dropping the truck off so he can get some minor maintenance, such as oil change, etc.,Of course I accepted the offer , then he called back Asked if I could drop off at barodway , he would give a discount- no mileage. I was soo excited. Although he called me 3-4x I didn’t complain I was getting great deals , then 2 before the reservation nothing, I had to call the day before to confirm. The gentleman sounded so lost, he told me someone should called the day before to confirm. I asked to confirm I requested the 7.00 dolly and I seen on the email it was 14.00, he mention I might night even get one ? Because people steal them & their gas ???? Day before move- Everything changed , there was no deal , everything I was promised didn’t happend . the location changed to Arden (found out by text) , then back to florin. I this happed 3x was charged mileage when original promise none . When I called I spoke to 3-4 people was horrible. Patrick at Arden was rude , yuck ! Picking up the truck a general was unfriendly, I confined what I was promised and fees changed again, thankfully he called someone and honered the deal given . I will say this all is going on Yelp , I know for my future to
PURCINDA AMy average rating has absolutely nothing to do with the two staff members who were present. Both of them were polite, engaging, and doing their best to give customers what they wanted/needed. The issue is the lines were long, five and six people at a time with a wait time of up to 20 minutes, and the transactions take time. The two employees were juggling filling up propane tanks, helping customers unhook and hook up their trailers, pulling trucks and vans out from the back and signing people in. That's waaay too much work to expect two people to do efficiently. The office needs at least another two employees to join them, but most of these businesses are too cheap to properly staff. So, not the staff's fault, but a bad environment for foster a positive customer experience.

LUPE REverything was great. The person checking me in and the person taking the return were both 10’s!! Both didnt seem to mind they were at work. Both seemed happy. Both seemed like they wanted to make sure I was happy.

Terrible that no one would help me resolve this issue. That was unfair and not right! That was an extra $450 not in my budget but no one cared to try resolve this matter not rven the manager or area manager. So no I would not recommend UHaul. Then I went back two months ago and found that there was as attempted breaking in of my unit. I have pictures and a witness. Again it was swept under the rug! I am going to contact the Consumer Financial Protection Burea in DC about this matter and file a complaint.

Easy to get a local employee on the phone (rare!). Also, we picked up our 24ft move-out truck here, and the truck had just 8K miles on it and was clean and in good condition. We usually have good experiences with U-Haul, but this location is particularly good.

lynn k | First ImpressionsThe drop off and storage experience was excellent. Now let me give you an overview of the absolute nightmare we went through after a reserved pickup. Our vehicle wasn’t available. After 20 minutes of waiting in line I asked the clerk at the front counter to find out that most of the line wouldn’t even get a vehicle at this location. We visited 4 other locations to run into the same issue of finding out that they didn’t even have a vehicle available and could be of absolutely no help to us, despite us having a guaranteed reservation. We happened to find one location after spending hours of time, gas, and energy driving and on the phone with customer service. When the agent finally LUCKILY found a booking, which for some reason was available to same day bookings and not the hundreds of other people who were waiting in all the lineups at the store, it was still 3 hours from when we had called. Our 11AM “guaranteed” booking turned into a 4:30PM nightmare booking. We finally picked up our truck. In the sketchiest street I have ever seen in Los Angeles. We nearly missed our flight and if we hadn’t gone through the trouble of doing your company’s job of actually finding a vehicle we had RESERVED, we would have over extended our lease for the apartment we were moving out of, and completely missed our flights. There was no remorse or empathy from any of your agents, rather an extremely stressful day.

HE NEEDS TO BE DEMOTED IN MY OPINION. NOT ABLE TO SPELL CORRECTLY ON THE EVICTION LETTER HE HAD PROVIDED FOR ME. I DID REQUEST HIM TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE OWNER OF BUSINESS NAME AND PHONE NUMBER, HE REFUSED TO GIVE THAT INFORMATION TO ME AND BECAME HOSTILE TOWARD ME. I DIDN'T APPRECIATE HOW HE APPROACHED ME AND HANDLE THE MATTER WITH ME AS A CUSTOMER. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR COMPANY EVER AGAIN 😠 AND I DID REMOVE MYSELF OFF THE PREMISES THE NEXT FOLLOWING DAY. I advise the company should at least have 2 worker on sunday so that Victor can at least a have break, poor guy was running around doing everything himself with no help. He deserves a raise.
james l | First ImpressionsThe worse weekend ever. I was there four days in a row. Friday, find out they cut my storage lock and replace it. But, when asked why, one could tell me. Saturday, wasted a lot of time because Victor doesn't know how to communicate. Ordered a Ubox and truck. But failed to tell me I had to pull my own Ubox to my storage. When specifically ask them to drop it at my storage unit 603 when I placeed my reservation. So I wasted 2 hours thinking they were going to drop it off. To find out after asking 3 times when was they going to bring it. Then I wasted another 30 minutes trying to get my U-Box. In which Victor try to charge me for the trailer that the U-box was on. After my U-Box was all filled and ready to go. Because of the 2 and half hour delay the 4 hours I rented the truck for ended up being 24 hours with miles that I didn't plan on paying for. Because we didn't finish until 6:15 p.m. Mind you all my reservations was for 12 p.m. truck was reserved from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Top it off my U-Box sat in an open space in the parking lot in front of the office for 2 days. It was supposed to be picked up and transported to Arden on Sunday the 1st. The next day. When I went back on Monday it was still there and there was no information on my U-Box being picked up at all. Call Chris Trudell with No response. After Isaiah made several calls he was able to help me and get my U-Box where it needed to go. (Arden) Honestly, If it wasn't for Isaiah I would have lost it!! He went above and beyond for me to make sure I was taken care of.
