We had a major rodent infestation, that we were unaware of for about 9 months, and they spoiled a majority of our things, which had to be thrown out. Note that we didn't keep any food items inside the unit, so there shouldn't have been a problem with rodents. Uhaul should be providing pest control around all facilities to control this issue.

ALEJANDRO G | Overall ExperienceI was driving the 26 foot truck. I was doing 60 miles an hour and the truck died, had no brakes and no power steering. I had to wait in hour in below freezing weather. I had to pull the parking brake to stop. It locked up the back wheels and all my stuff in side jumped all around. It was a very scary experience
TYLER SIt is not the location. The one 800 number is a horrible source of customer service, me and my fiancé set up a reservation under his name paid for everything in advance, thinking everything was taken care of, drove for three hours arrived at the location! To come to find out we had to put another hundred dollar deposit because it was off a cash app prepaid account! If you have online banking, I do not recommend U-Haul! After arriving to the location and explaining we didn’t have the extra hundred dollars there was nothing they could do for us even though it was poor customer service in poor communication. Drove back to three hours to go home with no moving truck horrible experience.
EDWARD SI moved out right after an automatic payment. Only a few days. No refund given. But they were ok with renting it out again even though I told them I would keep it until days before the next months payment was due. Total BS!!!

MATTHEW RI wanted a moving truck to keep my mothers antiques and household items safe and dry. The truck roof or top leaked and ending up having water inside the upper cargo area. The staff did not offer to go over the truck with me and did not tell me where the keys had to be placed upon return of the truck. I returned the truck with more fuel in it then when I took it. I think it would be a better idea to have the truck full before rental and the have the truck toped of by the renter when returned. Other then that things were not to bad.

PAULA TIt was a one way trip, and when I gave the origin the drop off zip code, they couldn’t find it in the computer. I told the guy at the drop off location about that ad he said it was common. So, it seems to be a system glitch. I knew where the drop ff was, but it would be nice to have that info from the start. Makes one wonder about the U-Haul computer network.

MICHAEL LI wanted to rent from Alexandria Bay and returned to Alexandria Bay, NY. That location said they almost never have any trucks so I found the Uhaul website deceptive. I was sent to a location 20 miles away. However the staff who helped me sign in and get the truck was very helpful and nice. When I was returning the truck the tire and engine lights came on.

TRAVIS KThe service desk personnel left me on hold for over 30, when I drove to the location I was still on hold . But the attendant was outside was outside washing a truck!! The left light bulb burned out before I departed my home in NY. The tie down straps were cut 4" short than the other. Making the trip unsafe!! I had to stop every 100 miles to ensure and tighten the right strap that came loose by every stop!!

RAMON MI think that your employees did an excellent job. My experience was quick and efficient. The only change I would make is I would have your employees do the initial vehicle check with the customer, or ask the customer if they'd like the check to be done together. I know asking would result in an 85% "No" response. Though I appreciate that some customers may be in a hurry and it keeps your employees free to help other customers. Jared provided a great experience though.

Uhaul does not prorate if you turn in your storage unit during the middle of the month. We have never encountered this before and it feels like they are preying on military customers. They were very nice and the storage is in a great location . But I would not recommend them due to not prorating the rent when you turn in your storage unit early.

MICHEAL W | First ImpressionsThe only complaint I have is when using the vehicle storage unit, to park your car into the unit there is a curve or lip that may be difficult for car to drive over to park their vehicle into the unit. This requires a piece of wood to create a ramp between the curve/lip for vehicle to easy drive over. This was the case for my vehicle. This isn’t a major problem but it is something to be aware of. Maybe create a ramp like curve or lip so cars can easily drive over. Other than this, my experience was wonderful

I tried other places that said they had a 10x20 storage unit and the truck should fit, however that was not the case at all. U-Haul by Fort Drum next to Bradley's the truck fit perfect as you can see in the pictures. The unit was clean and stayed dry as it is elevated from the actual ground. The price was great which included a lock and I setup auto pay, as I received an email every month as a receipt of the automatic payment. Very easy to cancel once I no longer needed the storage facility. Great friendly staff who were able to answer all my questions and concerns. Great place to store vehicles.

I closed it in person on feb. 22nd and was told I would get an email notification of the closed account. Instead on feb. 24th I got charged for the next month. I notified the office and they said it will be refunded but it has not shown up as a credit on my credit card account yet. I will be calling again next week if I don't see the charge taken off.
