MARVIN RI arrived on location to drop off the trailer, was backing into a parking spot per the app. I was greeted by an extremely rude mad waving his arms at me. He pointed to where he wanted me to drop the trailer off. As I was passing him, I asked him where he would like the trailer. He gave me a very rude response stating “where the signs say equipment return” I informed him that I was following the app. Then he charged me a $30 late fee which I can understand, but he wanted to call me and keep being rude. He even hung up the phone on me. I cannot believe this is how a manager runs his store. That man should not be managing anything the way he acted.

JAMES L | First ImpressionsThe last few times I’ve rendered from U-Haul, the location of pickup and drop off has been changed to a facility farther away and opposite direction of the way I’m going at all by U-Haul not me. I was notified of the change with less that 12hrs to pickup time and was told it’s only 4.5 miles 1 way . That’s 9 miles I would not have had to pay for, drive or pay for fuel. That’s an up charge of 10.71 before tax on your rates per mile alone. Fuel for an extra 9 miles was paid for by me as well. In this city 9 miles could cost you an hr of your time. I don’t want to review the facility because let’s face it, I checked myself in and out and I feel those paid employees could have made sure that truck was 4.5 miles away at my reserved location, especially since “it was only 4.5 miles”. I feel uhaul should have ate the cost of extra time, fuel and charges. U-Haul will eat the cost of my future rentals because of this.

MARTIN SMake sure everyone is on the same page. It started off with the first location closing 2hrs early, 2nd location giving our reservation away. Once we got the truck an hour later we informed the Elizabeth, and Scott both in person and on phone we were dropping truck off close to our home and not where we picked it up and was told it was ok. Next day we get a call telling us we are going to be penalized for dropping off at wrong location. I was livid. If it wasn't an emergency I would have tried to go somewhere else. Even though you all were an hour late getting us the truck I was only upgraded to a bigger truck but not given any extra time for the usage. I finally got the truck after 7 and had to have it back at 10:15. Plus I was just given the keys and told I had to walk the lot and find the truck myself. The staff wasn't sure where it was only the vicinity of where it may be. Terrible way to treat the elderly.
TAMI FThe uhaul van i rented had transmissions issues even though it was new with only 7500 miles on it. I had extended my rental out 3 more days since i needed it for 5 days. Pay the extra and when i returned it. Instead of being 220 bucks. It ended up being 450 bucks after all said and done which is a bunch of hidden fees which is a big no no for me. If i wouldve know that then i wouldn’t have rented from uhaul and just went with hertz or enterprise

PATRICIA PI pick up my toe dolly and paid for a 24 hr rental as usual then took the car to the mechanic ... then I brought back the dolly to the location went inside and told the representative that I would be back to pick it back us since I had more errands to run the rep said ok ill make a note of it .. when I cam back to get the dolly and go get my car the dolly was gone and they dise t have a dolly to replace .so now they had me scrambeling to another location to pick up another dolly miles away and to add insult to injury I wasn't even discounted a penny for my wasted time and inconvenience....

NATHANIEL WWas treated great, in fact when we arrive we realized that the 26 foot truck we rented was too big, and when we asked if we could move to a 21 foot truck we were told there were none available for a one way. The attended then took it upon himself to call and found he could indeed rent the 21 foot to us. He went above and beyond to assist us and kept us from going to another U Haul location, customer service at its finest. I cannot say enough about the help, service, and time that was saved because this young man took the initiative to help us. In closing, both of the attendants that day were top notch and deserve to be recognized for the customer service they provided, it was a breath of fresh air.

Jason RTurn the heat down in the facility. Overall, driving the 15’ Uhaul from Florida to Texas was a HORRIBLE experience. There was nothing gentle about the “gentle ride van”. I felt every bump, pothole, and wind gust for the nearly 1100 miles. A better option to save your customers fuel would be to have trucks with the optional cruise control. This was have save me about $30-45 in fuel costs; much more than the “aerodynamic” skirts did.

CHRISTOPHER RWhen I arrived to pick my equipment up I was 15 minutes early hoping that I would be able to get out of there on time after completing the paperwork. They only had one person helping people and checking people in and she was helping another customer when I got there by the time she got done with their situation and helped me with my paperwork. I didn’t get out of there till 20 minutes after I was supposed to pick up the equipment which pushed the time I had reserve movers back and cut into the time I had them that I was paying them for. When I came to drop off the equipment, I followed the directions on the signage and sat there waiting for someone to check me in and after 10 to 15 minutes no one came out to check me in so I walked inside and all three people were sitting behind the desk Chatting, when I told them I was there to return my equipment. They said I could have just dropped the key in the box and left, but the signage on the outside of the building said during business hours to wait and someone would come out and check in the equipment.

Roleta P | Overall ExperienceThing's are not ran properly in regards to communication. I lost only one thing in my unit. It was an antique dresser that had been in my family for generations. I had the mirror that goes on top and all of the drawers. Due to my health and other factors it remained the only item left. I was late at first and physically went into the office to explain my situation and that I was not able to pay the amount due at the time. I also told the young lady that all that was left was a single dresser and just how important it was to me. She stated she would have (I believe her name was Ashley) contact me to see what could be done. It wasn't until a week or more later that I got a phone call giving me an outrageous amount due that I could then (after payment) come and access my unit for the item. I called back to seek alternative methods but was unsuccessful in getting yet another return call. I've since had MULTIPLE emails from various individuals stating my balance due was even higher and my unit was up for auction back in July. Then up for auction in August, September, October, November and lastly December. I understood it to have been gone back in July then again in August. I then took the piece's I did have in my possession and disposed of them with a heavy heart. Then more calls and emails followed stating I could still access the unit if I was to pay an even higher amount. I have saved every email, every voicemail. It got ridiculous! I was heartbroken and the damage was done as I no longer had the pieces to make the dresser complete again. The GM at this location SUCKS! All he does is micromanage this lovely location and I believe has no clue as to what is really going on and just allows other employees to handle the logistics of the location without really keeping himself involved. He seems to only send out prefilled document's/notices that has his name attached with no real clue of the situation. I've used U-Haul for year's! For all of my moving and storage needs. I'm now 51 yrs old and this location has definitely screwed up my image of U-Haul. I will NOT PAY whatever the amount that is said I owe, so sending emails and letters and calling is a waste of time. Your lack of professionalism has caused me much grief and I have lost something that is irreplaceable!

Cameron Y | First ImpressionsMy first day of rental was June the 25th, I tried to move my belongings in on June 26th, only to find that the storage rental space that I had rented and paid for was being used by someone else and had locks on it already. When I took my concerns to the front office staff there was much difficulty in finding another storage unit for me to use that was the same size , I was told they were unavailable at that point. Are the team members finally after quite a bit of waiting time found another unit that was a larger size that I did not want and said there was going to be a $36 difference to which I responded I will not pay a $36 difference because I paid for a specific size and I wanted to pay that price. I was finally accommodated by renting a larger size storage unit for the same price but only for this month. On June 30th, I received an email saying that my storage unit rental fee was past due and I was being charged another $15 parental that I've literally only had for one week. My storage experience with U-Haul is not going well I'm not a happy customer right now and I will not be using you all for any storage in the future because they don't seem to have a good computer system or staff knowledgeable enough to help me do something so simple as to just rent a storage unit.
