Those who work there always have a bad mood when renting or leaving the equipment, they check it angrily, they are not friendly to the clients, I don't know if it's because one doesn't speak English well or they are rude to all the clients.

As a veteran with multiple combat tours, I have developed a keen sense of awareness towards my surroundings, an attribute that has been both a source of strength and sensitivity in my post-service life. It is with this lens that I wish to address the current use of trailer rests as parking deterrents in front of your building. Upon my recent visit, I couldn't help but notice the resemblance these installations bear to the 1942 World War II invasion deterrents. This similarity, whether intentional or coincidental, evoked a sense of discomfort and unwelcomeness, detracting from the otherwise positive experience I have come to associate with your brand. The historical connotation and visual impact of these barriers may not only affect those with a military background but could also unintentionally create an atmosphere that is less than inviting for your broader customer base. I understand the necessity of managing parking and ensuring that spaces are used efficiently and respectfully. However, I believe there could be alternative solutions that achieve this goal without inadvertently creating an environment that might remind some customers of less peaceful times. Could we consider less imposing methods such as painted lines, signage, or even landscaping elements that serve the dual purpose of beautifying the space while also guiding parking behavior? These alternatives could enhance the customer experience by making the parking area feel more welcoming and less regimented. I deeply appreciate your commitment to customer satisfaction and your willingness to consider feedback from all community members. My intention in sharing these thoughts is to foster an environment that is not only functional but also comforting and inclusive for everyone who visits your facilities, regardless of their personal histories. Kevin P.While the staff assisted promptly and were professional, I had numerous issues controlling the trailer as I moved from Ohio to Oklahoma. Upon my arrival in Bethany, OK, I discovered the webbing used to secure the right front tire of the truck on the dolly has come free due to not being ratcheted down properly. Approx. 9-1- hours into my drive the trailer became nearly uncontrollable causing me to drive to the berm on numerous occasions. All while travelling approximately 55 mph. I was unaware of the danger I was in at the time but when we (U Haul staff in Bethany) observed the webbing, it was clear the truck separated from the trailer as the webbing was "under" the tire. Two staff members attached the webbing. It is clear one knew the procedure and one did not. I am grateful I did not cause a serious accident on the highway. Thanks for asking.

The heat shield is very loose & needs to be replaced, the front end is in need of an alignment, and the truck is rusted completed through at the bottom of the two cab doors. Barnard G. | Overall ExperienceThe lady who helped me get more mileage was cool because there was an issue on the company's side as I had to travel further to pick up my truck. The truck itself was not the best driving a long distance and experiencing it drive slow due to hills and pulling a car. The guy who helped me put my car on the transport worried me as it is a risk to use it driving your car up a ramp to make sure it doesn't get damaged.

Sometimes had to back out of space. -Parking at entrance to storage entrance on inside making it hard to exit at times. -Got stuck due to no snow removal several times. -When snow was removed it was plowed to roof line and had to hand shovel to get out of space rented. - Catalytic converter was attempted to be cut off behind security fence. -Made several complaints about issues, never saw any changes till corporate was called. -Rent was raised yearly and once twice in one year. I would have thought renting two space would give break on price. -Maybe I’m being hard with comments, but if I ran my business this way, I would have gone out of business.

I had to wait on my installation and was not comfortable trying to use my laptop computer in those chairs with no table. Your staff was excellent and deserves 5 stars. They (Don and Tiffany?) were very professional and helpful and Don did an excellent job on the installation in just under 1 1/2 hours.

Thomas S. | Online Move InThis location on Georgesville Road doesn't give me too much of a hassle but because I previously ordered this vehicle with a debit card and the people that were at the location let me do it when I came to pick up this Time vehicle having a 20 minute conversation with somebody saying that they don't accept debit cards that has to say credit on it and I'm like well whoever let me do it the last time let me do it cause I just wasted money to Uber away from my house to the U-Haul pick up location. I understand U-Haul has rules but if people are going to be lazy enough, follow it and let people get away with everything, I'm a trustworthy person just go ahead. Let me get the vehicle go ahead and do that now with that being said, I recently returned his vehicle and better condition of what it was. This vehicle was not really clean. There was a black and mild up under the seat, a couple cigarettes and crumbs you know just small stuff that didn't really bother me , I put more gas in it then what it originally needed and I'm not even sure how I used a lot of mileage on it but this Dodge ram is not the Killswitch one, so it is not good on gas at all and I think it was given to me on purpose, because the gas in it literally it ate gas like tacos and the mileage on it went very quick and I didn't go a whole bunch of bunch of places I did go around the city a little bit doing my normal moving stuff, but not the mileage that they are saying U-Haul will still get their money, and I will still continue to rent from them, but I still feel I was purposely given a Bad vehicle which happens to be a dodge ram now the newer vehicle pick up truck that they have which is a Chevy pick up truck that has a Killswitch that is better on gas and apparently on mileage
SAGE K.This is great because sometimes everybody doesn't need a little trailer or a box truck. Sometimes you just need to pick up truck now the $.79 per mile thing is a little bit much but when you need it you need it and because of the pick up truck that I got it was one of those Killswitch trucks that if you had a stoplight, it turned the car off to save gas. It literally saved on gas and mileage, and I literally was going through the city with that Thing Doing my moving and what I need to do
SAGE K.The initial person who checked me in was kind and courteous but when I returned the truck with a full tank the person who checked it in read the wrong gauge and charged me a $50 fee for 11 gallons of gas. Because of weekend and holidays coming up because of the employees mistake I have to wait an extended period of time to receive my money back which in turn outs me in a financial bind.

Your price increases are what made me cancel my unit. The staff needs to work on their customer service as well. Every time I would call (which wasn’t very often) the blonde girl would answer and instantly say please hold and then never answer the phone back. I would typically hang up and call back and get someone else who would answer and talk to me. She was not pleasant to talk to in person either and did not explain everything to me when I was canceling my unit. I had to talk to another person to get my questions answered. I do not remember her name but she was a blonde thicker girl that worked the front desk. The price increases are the main reason I will not recommend this place to any of my friends or family and I tell them to go with another storage place.

Would suggest that the carts should be kept in a different place, maybe under cameras as a deterrent so that there would be enough for those of us who don't steal them. Alexis D. | Overall ExperienceThe storage facility was fine and one of the weekend storage managers was very helpful, but one woman at the business office during business hours, who’s business card that I took that was on display and says her name is Savannah Clemens, also saying her title is “Assistant Moving Center Manager”, was extremely rude when I returned the truck the next day when I told them that the truck lost the ability to steer it TWICE. She rolled her eyes, looked at her computer and phone 90% of the time I was telling her about my experience with loosing the ability to steer the truck and it careened any direction it wasn’t until I was able to bring it to a stop. And the other woman at the Moving Center business office, I only got her first name, Angel, kept telling me that the “manager”, Chris, would call me the next morning and that I had to call both the facility that rented me the truck AND the 800 claims number instead of helping me with a truck that lost its ability to steer! I called the U-Haul facility that rented me the truck AND the 800 claims number and neither would help me

Terrible customer service everyone but i think a manager had a bad attitude like they didn't want to deal with anyone. Especially after we had to cancel the reservation since we wouldn't fit anyway. Stood in line for 10 minutes to return our truck. When they could have just taken the key.

However on several visits we found the gate to be malfunctioning in the open position (which we did report). We also noted there were several companies storing their commercial vehicles onsite so there was a constant stream of in and out traffic. When we took our RV out for the first trip this spring we found that the catalytic converter had been cut off. Beyond the cost there was the loss of several days of vacation while we waited for parts as we could not drive our diesel vehicle without repairs. We decided that we couldn't risk another theft so we canceled our storage unit.

Was not warned about pesticide being sprayed regularly on the units and have allergy to these and trying to remove from soft furnishings is difficult. The payment date could not be adjusted and because they won't take a partial month's payment, I payed a full month for the final 5 days I was in the unit. And though climate controlled with heat in winter, there did not appear to be air conditioning in summer.

Was not able to get there today for the keys. All in all it’s a friendly place very clean and I’m glad I chose u-haul storage.

I was told there would be a unit indoors available the next day as there were no outdoor pull up units that were or would be ready (this is what I ordered. They told me to return the next day , Saturday. On Saturday, they told me I had an outdoor unit ready. Then they charged me for the first months rent despite me reserving under a free first month promotion, had to have that reversed. Then they gave me an ID card to swipe in/out of the security for the unit. I tried to use the card, did not work, walked back inside and told them, they said it was just a delay in the system to so re try it in a couple mins. I then retried it, still didn't work. I went back in and found a different employee and told them I was not sure the one helping game was doing things correctly, and they immediately told me that the ID cards hadn't been working on my unit for some time so I would need an access code. Access code finally worked. As a last disappointment, when I unlocked my storage unit, the tag on it said it had been cleaned/inspected over 2 weeks ago (which means it was likely available the first day when I had driven to check in). This location is very poorly organized and cost me an extra day of time along with 15 dollars in gas to drive my one way rental back to them a second day due to their poor organization. I will not be using this system again after I check out in August to move across the country.

Robert R. | Overall ExperienceOne of the two storage units we put our furniture in somehow contracted bedbugs, we unpacked the storage unit that did not contain the bedbugs and brought that back to our home, but we left the storage unit that was full of bedbugs full and tried to talk to the U-Haul employee at this facility and she was so rude to my husband, my friend and I. She lied and said that there is no way a bedbug could move from someone else’s storage unit to us but I know that is false because there are wide spots in the back of every storage unit where you can clearly see someone else’s things. Bedbugs can crawl through anything. It’s absolutely disgusting that we got bedbugs from this facility, and their behavior was even more disgusting. They told us we had until the end of the day to get our things out and they were not going to treat any of the units for the bedbugs. We were yelled at by the uhaul employee that works at the Georgesville uhaul facility by the name of Kendra. Rude but is really an understatement as to how Kendra‘s attitude was. She walked away from my husband and my friend while they were speaking to her. We were also promised free storage for the first month because we also booked one of the 26 foot long U-Haul trucks and it came with it, the Georgesville uhaul facility tried to charge us for that first month after I had visible proof of the free month via the uhaul application. I have spent thousands of dollars in past moves and storage units but we will never ever use uhaul again for any of my moving or storage needs after this experience and neither will our friends and family. TERRIBLE!

Crystal B. | Overall ExperienceMice were a problem. Shortly after storing there, I went back to get something out of storage and found bits of foam on the floor under our couch. Somehow the bait box was on top of some of my stored items and the bait displaced. I rearranged the couch and reset the bait and box but still had more foam bits and found mouse poop in a couple areas when moving out. HOWEVER, the staff are very friendly and helpful. This goes for the store itself and the after hours customer service folks. I can’t really blame the staff since they can only control so much of what and how other customers store their things. It‘s just frustrating that storage facilities do not provide guarantees unless you buy the insurance from them. Lastly, the UHAUL website to check out of the units was not working (kept telling me to select a unit, which I’d already done). I tried safari and chrome. I went home and tried on my computer.... same result. Eventually called customer service who said to call the store which I did the next day. As usual the folks at the store were very friendly and helpful and had me checked out of both units within minutes. Hate to give only 3 out of 5 when the staff was so great. But the mouse problem is a huge factor and what carries the most weight in my review.

When I got to Columbus in October to check in, I was told that the space was not available. I had a discussion with the manager who made it right, even though it was a bigger space than necessary.
