I called on the last day and Informed the lady on the phone that I was on my way. The manager was in the background going on to say a lot at a time to where someone that was in the car with me could here her. That part was just to over the top. She even said that I had to have a Sheriff with me to finish. It was just a lot.

NIKITA WTHE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GOOD, HOWEVER, THE TRUCK I WAS GIVEN WAS HORRIBLE. IT HAD NO AIR AND IT WAS ABOVE 95* ON TUESDAY IN BATON ROUGE. IT ALSO SEEMED TO HAVE MOTOR ISSUES BECAUSE FELT LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS VERY STRAINED. SEVERAL TIMES I THOUGHT I WOULD BE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE TIME IT TOOK FOR THE TRUCK TO DRIVE. Was having a dilemma in getting my truck unloaded at the assigned storage location. Reached out to the Greenwell Springs area hsd a little confusion. It was fixed immediately and the general manager took the time out to personally call me and let me know that we've got a straightened out and that I was good to go I explained to her how i was a little frustrated about the original plans fo ar storage ujit and she calmed me down. And she made sure that everything went very well for me. Everything was taken care of she stressed how they strive because some service. And I really agree with that. She I just pleasant she was just. Arrived at the facility the customer service representative was just as pleasant.

Some verbal instructions given to me on the day of my rental were very confusing and not written down. For example, the seat in the truck was messed up, and they said I'd get a $10 discount on the rental as long as I don't check it back in when I return the truck; however, previously they stated the importance of checking the truck back in when I return so that I'd get back the money I spent on the mileage. The entire experience was unsaisfactory for me, not because of the truck, but because of the customer service. As stated in the first sentence, it was very frustrating being talked down to as if my questions were crazy, and I did not like being interrupted. Customers have genuine questions and want to make sure they know what's happening with their money. Everything should be written down beforehand and not switched or changed on the spot.

One of the ladies seemed very genuine. I actually enjoyed her helping me the previous day, she even called me to make sure I had had my gate code after losing my key. Now the other girl is something else she was rude from the beginning telling me she’s going to call and report the U-Haul stolen. I’m still trying to figure out why when I parked it and left it on the property the previous night. LOOK AT THE CAMERAS! you’ll see me arriving after 9:30pm. Who wants to be locked out. It’s like everything the lady setup the pervious day for me she literally made her feel like she didn’t know what she was doing. Anyway she tried charging my card 3 different amounts for what ? I’m not sure if she thought I wasn’t smart enough to question her but WRONG. I’m just waiting on my refund for a 9.99 lock I was charged 14.99 for also my refund from the truck I used for less than 3 hours. 29.95 a day I used less than 20mi replaced more gas then I used but still was charged a fee 🤦🏽♀️ So glad I took my picture before driving off funny part is she tried to argue with me until I showed her proof 🙄. She did that already 3 times. Even the General manager was not so helpful seemed to not care about resolving my issue. Only accused me of being disrespectful to his employees. AVOID THIS U-HAUL STORAGE PLACE!

The card I was issued stopped working, and there was a time when my storage pass code would not work as well. Access was attempted around 8 pm ( storage hours listed 6 am to 10pm), but entry was denied due to outside of access hours. The access system to storage units needs to be updated and/or troubleshooted to work out the bugs. Also, because the office was closed calling the UHUAL system for assistance makes no point because all they could do was refer me to the closed office for assistance.

The only thing that was not good, was the fee was quite a bit extra for climate control so that my stuff was not destroyed by the heat, but every time I visited, the building with my unit was 85-90 degrees. That was not what I consider climate controlled. At least not what should be anyway. At that heat, I might as well of kept my things in a regular storage, I had several products melt and were destroyed anyway due to high heat in my unit.

I’ve rented U-Haul units before and they actually had an elevator so I was very surprised to see that it didn’t have an elevator and the no lights. Not having proper lighting is not very convenient I need yall to work on that but the customer service was excellent!

She said, she will have maintenance to repair the light. The light was never repaired, the light still was not working when we surrendered the unit. The second matter was the cockroaches in the unit. My husband sprayed the unit himself to stop the roaches from entering the unit. However, the rental rate was fair and the unit was useful for the time rented.

Overall, I was very frustrated that the storage unit I had reserved wasn’t available upon arrival. I’m not sure how that could happen. I’m also annoyed I had to pay more for another storage unit instead of being compensated, they could have at least price match with the original storage unit I had reserved. Also, I want to note that I called the day I was supposed to get my storage unit to make sure it was fine to come the next day and that it would still be available. So, it was surprise when I got there that it wasn’t available, even though I double checked the day beforehand. The facility wasn’t bad, and the young man working was very sweet. But, I’m disappointed with the process I went through.
