I just want to say that the ramp on the 5’x8’ trailer was a godsend! It would have been too hard for me to step up into that trailer while maneuvering the furniture I was putting in it. Thank you so very much for the ramp!!!!
STACI SThe managers here lied and pretended to take out my payment but did not so that they could put a lien on my storage. They sent me late fees statement in my email 3 days before my bill was even due. When I called to bring this to their attention, they pretended to fix the mistake and did not even take out my payment and left it unpaid after I gave them my credit card number. I called back to address the issue and the manager lied and said my storage went up to two different amounts within a minute he changed his prices. Finally he gave in and told me I could get my stuff and he would unlock it but it was still locked. I also think they changed my lock and put a different one on it. They overcharge, lie, manipulate and try their best to seize your property with fraud. This place is a den of thieves.

PATTI MI rented a two wheel dolly from this place a gentleman put it on my truck. He never checked to see if the lights work or if it was even on my truck correctly I got pulled over in Georgia got a ticket for no tail lights and unsafe vehicle I do not recommend going here
NESTOR RMake sure the employees know to check the hitch and inspect the overall equipment function of it before they clear it for use. The guy that hooked mine up did not. It came off and could have been a disaster.

There weee some issues with billing but they worked that out as well.i have used two separate U-Haul facilities and have been very satisfied with both! I really like the van. Only issue- difficult for an old woman to keep stepping up and down but I am sure you all do the only thing you can - offer excellent customer service!

ERIC URecommendation if the location is hard to answer. Picking up the trailer was good-the gentleman was nice and upgraded us because the trailer we rented wasn't on-site. Dropping off the trailer-well that was totally different. My husband and I have never been efficient at backing up a trailer and we were honest about this from the start. When we dropped off the trailer we went to the return location, only to be told we had to move it to the trailer section and then we were told to "back it up"....nope, not going to do that. We purposefully told you all that we don't back up a trailer-literally for the 24 hours we had the trailer we pulled down our road and back to pull in front of our house and then pulled thru my mother's front yard TWICE to avoid backing up. The young man gasped and was seemingly appalled that he was going to need to work a little while he had this HUGE wad of tobacco in his mouth...and if it wasn't tobacco it was still as unprofessional because he couldn't speak clearly. This is the first time in years I have used UHaul and this experience reminded me why....the lack of professionalism.

JEFFREY BThis trailer was unjustafiably expensive at $699 plus tax and fees. This was a one way trip from Orlando to Chattanooga, I had the trailer for 2 days. I booked this weeks in advance. I had no choice but to pay this because I had to have a trailer. I thought the high price might have been due to a shortage of trailers and high demand, but the pick up location had a huge glut of trailers and couldn't explain the high price.

BRIAN HI generally only rent a truck from this UHaul location once a year for an annual race that raises money for charitable foundation. I have always had great experience at this UHaul location. The trucks work well and the employees are great.

EISA MHave one problem 100.00 hold on my card original charge was 89 dollars a d some change. Entire 100 still charged. Gas was replaced and back within time... what was the additional charge?
ANTHONY S1. I reserved a furniture dolly with my truck rental but, when I arrived to pick up the truck, was told that they had no furniture dollies available. 2. The contract paperwork said the truck had 1/2 tank of gas. When I first started it, the gage read 5/16 (just above 1/4). The office assured me that this would not be a problem as long as I documented the as-found gas gage reading, which I did. I returned it with the gage reading just above 3/8 (i.e. higher than the as-found reading). When I received the rental receipt, I was charged the refueling penalty for returning it below 1/2 tank. It took a phone call to the U-haul customer service to resolve this and receive a refund.

The UHAul in Fayetteville NC 702-523-4706 confirm that they had a storage unit for me. When I get into town the Broad Street location in Chattanooga, Tennessee told me that they didn’t have anything for me, that they haven’t had any available storage for several months and told me that I needed to look for something else. They told me to call the Hixson location. The Broad Street location was very convenient for me because I was moving off of Broad Street and the Hixson location was way out of my way. The Hixson location was very nice and took care of me.

You are able to collect double rent if someone rents the units I rented, I believe you should reconsider and change your policy and allow partial month rent. The same thing happened with two units in a U-Haul facility in Knoxville, TN.

The person living in storage burglarized multiple units (including mine) by climbing over the wall on the top floor. She stole every tool I owned, which took years to acquire. The employees denied any wrong doing when the police became involved.

The training level of the staff is inconsistent. My most recent interaction in Chattanooga on Hixon Pike I met Anthony. I must say at this location he is the only one with sufficient knowledge to get you in and out but has absolutely no customer service skills. It appears that his dog died many years ago and he’s never gotten over it.

Amanda G | Overall ExperienceMy experience was frustrating as I made a reservation a couple weeks prior to moving but then, on moving day, after driving 10.5 hours from D.C., when I called to confirm the reservation I was told there was no space available. I went to other U Haul locations around Chattanooga to try and find storage but all were full. I ended up going to this location to see if something could be worked out. Upon arrival, I spent 15 minutes waiting for someone to show up at the desk and when they did they had headphones on, spoke shortly to me, and gave an overall rude reception. I explained the situation and they repeated the same story I heard on the phone. I insisted that there must be some space because another U Haul location (Broad Street) had reported that this location (Hixon) was only at 90% capacity. The individual then had us walk through the entire first floor of the storage facility where there were, indeed, available storage units. I guess they had just been unwilling to get up and look themselves before. Despite the situation being "technically" resolved, I was very disappointed in the lack of customer care and professionalism that was demonstrated and unfortunately, my perception of U Haul has diminished after this experience.

Paul G | Overall ExperienceWhen i rented my storage unit, i was pleased that it had 24hr access. 2 weeks after i rented the unit i showed up to a big sign on the door saying this facility is no longer 24hr access. I said wow i didnt get any kinda notice or warning. And also, with the shortage of trucks on the weekend, i couldnt get a reservation until 5:15pm and i had to move a little the same day and the rest the next day. All of this occured because of the facility closing at 7th. When asked why the facility changed hours, they're only response was because people dont know how to act. Didnt really understand that but i dont feel i should've had to suffer because of someone's urge to break the law.

Not to big of a deal because the Chattanooga location is amazing and always helpful! The drop off for our truck was in Athens Ga and that was terrible. The curly headed girl behind the counter had no clue what was going on. She told us to park the truck under the green tent and give her the keys. I asked several time if that’s all that needed to be done she said yes. We dropped of the truck on Sunday at 4:45. A day early. I was called literally 5 times since Monday people asking where the truck was. I explained that we dropped it off Sunday and everything, my husband also had a conversation with someone as well. I will never use the U-Haul in Athens again. They have no clue what they are doing.

Robert R | Overall ExperienceI rented an 8x8x8 on the second floor for $84.95/mo. When I arrived I was informed there was no elevator, only stairs and I had heavy items. Nothing in the rental process indicated a lack of elevator service at the facility. The staff found a storage unit on the first floor that was 12 x 8 x 8 and I was quoted a price of $104.95/month. I agreed and when accessing the location, the ceiling was barely 6’ high, not the 8’ advertised. Ok, and when I checked out, I noticed a sign advertising that size locker at a rate of 124.95 and when she rang it up, it came up as 129.95/mo. When I asked the question about the difference in what she quoted, the sign, and the computer she yelled at me for asking the question and threatened to cancel my reservation. I explained that, as a customer, there were three conflicting amounts and all I did was ask a question. She then said, “that’s what the computer is printing out, I can’t do anything about that. Overall a very negative experience.

That did not happen. I feel uhaul owes me 144.94. The unit I reserved was not 12x10x12 I was told to go somewhere else. So I did. I used uhaul mainly because they offered me one month free.

When we arrived at the storage unit the reservation that I had made in advance was not on their computer even tho I had printed the paper showing the reservation number and date. Thankfully, there were storage units available but if there were none available that would have been a huge problem because I had a Bellhops crew there to unload the truck and put everything in storage.
