THEY STATED I MOVED OUT WAY AFTER I MOVED OUT SO THEY CHARGE ME FULL PRICE WHEN ONE REP IF I MOVE OUT ON THE DAY I DID I WOULDNT BE CHARGED WHICH I HAVE PROOF OF!! THE UNITS WERE DIRTY ASF THEY STAFF IS RUDE AND JUST TRY TO CHARGE EXTRA MONEY FOR NO REASON!!!! I MOVED OUT AND HAVE PROOF BUT STILL THEY ARE SAYING OTHER WISE SUCH A SCAM STAY AWAY FROM THIS UHAIL PLACE

My items had been stored for 3+ years. Never did i feel that my items weren't protected as the door where my storage was located was always locked and required assistance just to gain entry. The facility was always cleaned and free from pest. All staff was helpful even in the worse weather to ensure my experiences were good ones. Will use them again if I ever need to

I was always able to access my storage unit at the time I needed so the hours were great and the staff was always helpful. It was clean and well lit with carts available. I had my unit for two years (climate controlled on the first floor) and I never had bugs or infestations of any kind so I know they were sure to check for bugs often. I would recommend this facility to others.

Provide information to the customer if rented equipment will not be available upon pick up. Also, transparent billing would be appreciated. I was terribly over charged on pick up, no alternative but to pay the amount.

We rented a 15ft. trust for 3 days.The manager promised that if we return the truck a day early around 11am we will be refunded for the day not used. Now he's telling us another story. This to me is in reasonable and missing leading. I need to be refunded. The 🚛 was rented in my name Anna Morrison on Saturday 8, 2025 for 3 days. It was returned Monday 10,2025 at 11:48. Please refund my card for the 3rd day not used.

I do not Understand why I have to provided 3 different telephone number in order to rent your equipment. I do have an account with U-Hall and I have been renting equipment from U-hall for a long time. I do understand to provided copy of my licenses....but why 3 different telephone number?? The receptionist told me that this is an U-hall requirement, and I have to provide the 3 telephone number in order to rent out the equipment. I took me like an hour or longer the get the equipment that I was trying to rent...........unacceptable ..

Lady at the desk was a little short in answers, She was asking for the same information I had to give with my reservation and I was short on time. I had asked for a 16 foot and was given a 15 foot instead of a 17 foot. I didn't realize how the sizes went. And didn't realize the size of the truck until my husband came to the church an hour after I picked the truck up. It appears that your trucks are getting old - although it was clean it wasn't very clean due to being an older truck.

I can’t believe I have had this storage unit since 2011🤦🏻‍♀️ WOW! Time flies fast….my experiece having a storage unit for 13 years was awesome…your security was on point… it was in A/C…it was locked … you had to sign in and someone from U-Haul had to let you in which I liked and cameras everywhere which I felt safe anytime I went…I was sad to let it go 😔 but it was time…I didn’t need it anymore….i want to thank UHaul for a great experience and my rate was always manageable for all those years…much appreciated 🙏 2011 thru 2024 OBT

I was extremely disappointed in things rental experience. First was when they moved the pick up and drop off location because the first place did not have the truck I reserved 8 days in advance. The second was that I had asked Todd a hand truck to move and when I went to the pick up location they did not have one for me. I had to go elsewhere to rent one which took an hour of my time that could have been used to help my movers load the truck and save me on the moving expenses. I did speak with someone on your customer service line and she was very helpful and issued me a $50 credit. I was very thankful for her help This is the 2nd time in 4 months that I have rented a truck from U-haul to help my children move and this is the 2nd time I have had issues.

I needed a box truck to transport Christmas presents for shipping out of the country. I was able to rent one for 24 hours in an emergency situation and that meant everything to the people of our church. Thank you for filling a need so quickly without a reservation.

Upon receiving the unit, I discovered when I went to remove my things. There was rats living inside of the storage unit. There were holes in the ceilings where the rats had torn through and got into my things, and I had to literally throw out my things that were rummaged through from the rats.

The new manager at this location Is extremely rude, doesn't work with you, is racist! Has harras me by doing things he is not supposed to do! I give him a below 0 as a manager He should be replaced ASAP! This location is going to loose a lot of clientele Due to his personality and the way he carries himself He thinks that by intimidating others is the way to handle a situation especially when Im constantly giving him business with the amount of money I spent! I hadn't rented a truck and a.load of storage space. I was told my storage was 1 month free and I would pay on the second month but I was charged When I moved in. When I call back customer service personnel said she didn't know because I didn't tell her even though I booked my reservation 4 days before I had to tell her all my information again. She immediately reverse the transaction when she became aware.

The unit I rented was a portable storage that that had cork screw wood floors that got wet from the untit sitting on the ground and cause fungus to be in the unit. I will spend the money to next time to have my things stored at untied van lines, in a warehouse and controlled temperature storage facility. Manager was friendly and attentive. The location offers many services, including storage. My least favorite thing to do every time I went was having to log in and out at the office each and wait for staff to (a) open the building door to get to my storage unit, or (b) wait until staff was available to hand me the key and later return it. I understand the need and the customer service aspect, but most time I only wanted to be in and out quickly. The extra steps took more time.

I will be eternally grateful for Frank . The Maitland store manager. . Since my first contact with Frank he put himself to help me out. Unfortunately when I was about 70 miles from Orlando I had the back tired blown and I almost had a accident. I was completely stressed out and I couldn’t think for myself. Frank was the person to tell me the words I need that time. I had the truck towed to the Uhaul facility and for days I couldn’t solve the problem . Finally yesterday September 26 th . I was able to get all set. I had a V.I.P treatment by the whole staff. Frank was compelled with my situation with my dogs and knowing a little bit about how hard was my last days. Im 54 years old and I never had someone who put his heart to help me out.Representing one business. Today I feel renovated. And if this survey can be considered. I would like to ask for the UHaul directors or C.E.O. Please give Frank a shout. My experience with a “business with a heart make the difference in my life” Thanks to the whole UHaul staff. And for a Angel named Frank at the Maitland UHAUL facility. He really make my life easier. Eternally Grateful for all. Thanks

The pest control was awful, rats got into my storage unit and destroyed my mattress and when I went to talk to someone at the front to see if there was something they could do no one was there and the door was locked it was 2pm on a saturday.

The customer service at this location was wonderful! My family drove all the way from Ohio after reserving a week prior at another location in Altamonte Spring, FL only to be told they did not have anything for us after providing our reservation confirmation number. That location was not accommodating and their service was terrible. We arrived with an 18 wheeler truck at this location and the gentleman was so kind!

The storage and truck etc in apopka was the best. You have issues but you it has to do with dealing with the franchise and how each place conduct themselves. The worse for me this time was Sunny’s in Orlando. He mixed up my reservations and then hung up on me because he couldn’t get me to change my reservation for the next day. I would if I could. My help to move was only available on Saturday. I’m partly disabled and had no choice then. He didn’t speak proper English and things were worse trying to iron anything out so he hung on me and that was that. I have no problems with the actual uhual. Always treated very well and smooth. Which your online thing doesn’t work properly in leading in the right direction. Much more but let’s say next time I’ll prefer to just walk in to a uhual store and save me the headache. Thanks. Viv

My belongings were damaged from a leak in the roof that caused mold to grow all over items. In addition there were mice urinating and dedicating all over my stuff. I lost several thousand dollars in belongings. Extremely upset, my brother has a unit that ran into the same problem with the mice. The manager attempted to help, but was where’d about what corporate would say. Ultimately , I had to go through my belongs, clean what I could safe, and relocate it to a different facility all out of my pocket. There is some kind of insurance but no one has offered to help me figure that out. Very sad

The only problem was I had a rodent issue because the other customers do not follow the guidelines of the U-Haul so my suggestion is to be more of a stickler to the customers on keeping food out of the units so other units won't pay the price I don't blame you but I blame the other customers that don't have the lack of understanding that they need to not have perishable items in their units....

The poor aspect of my experience was in the manner the termination of my service was handled. I received no notice, and only found out I was supposed to be out in 10 days when my gate code stopped working. Roxie did reach out and make things right (by zeroing out my account and even refunding my January payment) however, the corporate system did not get updated. Because of that, I’m still receiving lien notices in the mail.

We have stored our camper at this facility for more than 10 years and are not happy to find out that will have to store it some place else. We were not notified that this was going to happen. We were told that a letter was mailed but we never received it. I really wish that we could continue to store it here because the location is ideal for us. I wish we had been given more notice and an explanation. If I hadn’t called to see why our payment had not been processed, I would never have known about the change. That is unacceptable.

I had a reservation number. The manager couldn’t find me reservation. So, he began helping customers that came in after me. I sat there for about 15 mins. Another manager came in. He couldn’t find my reservation and he offered me more expensive choices. I’m 68 years old and I didn’t want a second level storage space where as I’m to climb up 2 flights on a metal movable ladder (stairs). I couldn’t afford the additional cost for a first floor and larger storage. In the moment, I signed up for the higher level unit. By the time I got there a customer the guy assisted before me had blocked me from getting to the second floor. I waited about a half in hour for her to gather items from her things. After a time I decided to cancel the reservation I had set up. I found and storage unit that was slightly larger and $2’s more. I felt invisible while the first guy ignored me a was helping people who were coming into the store. I had a reservation for a first floor. Why didn’t I get it or a better resolution? I felt unimportant and disrespected. I move from Georgia to Orlando in a short time period. You have lost me as a customer and I would not recommend you.

We reserved a 10x15 drive up storage unit. Walked up to the service counter and waited for 5-10 minutes before seeing anyone in the building. Once we got checked in, we were taken to the unit to find rat droppings everywhere and ants coming from outside and the unit next to ours. We ended up canceling our unit before moving anything in and moving our reservation (for more money) to the Uhaul in Ocoee which was a great experience. The employee was nice once we met him which is the only reason I didn’t give the place a 1 star review.

I called months ago canceling my storage. I cleared out my storage prior to the first I was still charged months later. There’s no communication. There’s also no customer service. Very surprised at the quality (negative) of the "second floor" storage units. I thought "you have got to be kidding me". Really ? a second floor you have to climb a portable stairway to ? How do I get a washer and dryer up there ? How about the sofa? Really a shame. I was forced to get a bottom level outside storage for my daughters items. Cost me way more than the "second floor". What has happened to the quality of U haul storage units ? Franklyn very helpful in finding me a unit so I didn't have to go elsewhere. This complaint was not his fault. Units were nothing like the example units shown in the store office. Would not recommend this facility to anyone I know to store here.

Stood in line for a self storage key for about an hour for sure. I was charged more then I was being told for a bigger truck that I didn’t need.

Franklyn Serra is detailed oriented, gives excellent customer service and above beyond helpful. He helped me find assistance to move into the upstairs unit. He apologized for the mistake the former lady Manager made and correctly moved into the unit. Thank you, Franklyn!

Manager was not simpatetic to my situation at that time. I was there for at least 6 month and always paid on time. But the manager unwilling to help or trying to keep a customer happy and to keep a returning customer. I wouldn't recommend to my friends and family. This is why rating average. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The manager is the reason I will never do business with this facility again or recommend it.

There was a hole in the ceiling and my mattress got ruined. It took two days for the hole to get fixed. That hole had been there for a long time because of my shows signs of long term water damage.

I need a phone reservation for the storage facility. When I got there they told me they didn't have the size storage that I have reserved. It was only after I made a bit of a fuss that they suddenly and almost amazingly found the unit that I had reserved! Not only that but I saw Uhaul Hawks on other units of the same size so I believe that the original salesman was trying to upsell me. When I left the salesman assured me he was going to go check the unit and check me out. He did not do so. It was only after I received an email saying that I still owed money that I found of his mistake. I had to call the facility to get them to go remove me from the system. The unit was fine I was not happy with your staff either upon rental or upon leaving.

I dont understand the whole storage unit that you have to access the unit with a warehouse ladder what if you slip and fall. Not safe what's so ever!!!
