My tvs and most of my things was covered in mold it was raining in my storage unit I had a 65 inch tv and a 55 tv I had to throw away all of my furniture and belongings that was in the storage unit due to mold

It's not what you say it's how you say it. And she did both. The blonde haired girl is the ONLY reason I even rented the trailer that day.

ROBERT SGrant Kumsomboone wouldnt let me list my daughter as an emergency contact because he has some type of personal vendetta against her. Not knowing she was my daughter not a homegirl. He stood in front of other customers and made false statements. And then went on say he(manager) had heard that she was going into the Air Force and that she won’t be now. Because he tried to charge $500 for $150 key replacement. I guess he thought she couldn’t think pass U-Haul ceiling he’s mad now. And taking it personal and maybe because he couldn’t get into the Air Force. Who knows. My personal opinion he should be replaced by someone professional and goal oriented.
Nikki S | First ImpressionsI have used U-Haul for many moves and boxes three times now. This location and the transfer was terrible. At first I couldn’t get ahold of anyone for weeks when it was delivered to the wrong location. Then, when they finally delivered it it took them all day to pull it. I called and asked them to pull it around 10-11am. And they didn’t pull it until one hour before close. This messed with my timing as we do not live in this city. This made us need to rent the unit for another few months as we were out of the country. It really was a mess. Finally, when it came to closing out account the person didn’t know how. She said she’d leave a note and it didn’t get closed until about 20 days later after about bill. Months of unnecessary use because of all of this. Very disappointed.

SHEILA DI always felt worried about rodents there was rodent traps and poison in my storage unit before moving in. I always felt like my stuff was endangered. There were also dead cockroaches in my unit when I cleaned it out . Staff was always friendly and helpful. I really just needed a smaller until. I found me a 5x5 for 1/2 the cost.
Robert B | Overall ExperienceMy father died. I was a long way from my parents' home when I got the call. When I was able to take off from my job to drive there, the funeral was scheduled for 1pm the next day. My car broke down just after I left my home to drive to the funeral. I had it towed to a local shop I had not used before. I still was almost 800 miles to the funeral location. I had around 18 hours to get there. None of the car rental agencies had any cars available. We called Enterprise, Avis Budget, and all other car rental companies within several miles of our location. No car rental company had any cars available. I called a used car dealer, but his cheapest car cost $5,900 (which I have in my bank) but he wanted cash on the barrelhead, and even then no insurance or registration was available quickly. I was about to miss my Dad's funeral. Then somebody suggested Uhaul. We got a ride to the nearest Uhaul dealer, which was closeby, and Steven had us out the door and rolling again in a new 15 foot Ford Uhaul truck in less than twenty minutes. I was there early at my father's funeral. Before it started. I was a pallbearer. That Ford Uhaul was FAST! For more than 700 miles, a lot of people thought that they could pass a Uhaul truck and so they got their cars out into the left lane tried to pass me and then they learned that they couldn't pass a Uhaul truck after all! I didn't manage to find out how fast it will go (because the acceleration never did plateau and level off), but it will go faster than any speed limit in the United States, even driving up steep hills. I learned that Uhaul has vehicles available quickly when car rental companies fail you. And they put you in a vehicle quickly, within a few minutes of your arrival there, with full coverage insurance. And there is plenty of space in the back for your luggage. And that vehicle is not slow.

JAMES FWhile the staff was friendly and helpful, we always had trouble getting into the inside storage units. The codes and key cards never worked. We always had to go back around to the front to get employees to open up the doors. This is why I gave 3 stars. But I give 5 stars for the employees. Other than that, we had a secured storage unit.

JAMES CThe U-HAUL worker attached/engaged the trailer to my towing vehicle hitch. Within a city block, the trailer came off my hitch and I was dragging the trailer by the trailer hitch safety chains. The hitch was not engaged correctly. Other than this problem, everything was great!

BOBBIE JIt was a disaster! I reserved a 10' truck. I made the reservation weeks in advance. The day before pickup, I physically visited the location to confirm the 10' truck's availability. The manager confirmed its availability. The next day, I went to pick up the truck. I arrived 30 minutes early. The employee said he had just rented it to a walk in. Lie number one is my 10' truck would be available, and you did not have one available. The employee then informed me the 15' truck came with free packing blankets. The manager came in and told him that was incorrect. Lie number two your employee lied about the blanket fee. When making my original reservation, I informed the employee I was taking the truck from Dothan, Alabama, to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I would pick up the truck at 12:30 on Friday and return it around 5:00 pm the next day. The employee logged my reservation as a one day in town use. He gave me my quote based upon that incorrect reservation. I was unaware of his error. While picking up the truck, I told the manager my plans. The manager said the reservation data was incorrect. He told me I would be paying a fee almost triple the original quote. Lie number three was you gave me an incorrect quote. I was in a crisis position of need. You had me corned to comply with your terms. When paying for the truck, your credit card machine was not working. I had to swipe my card almost 10 times. I was fearful you were charging me more than once. I was also purchasing mattress covers. The employee said the mattress covers were billed on the first charge. The manager said it was not, and he ran a second separate charge. I had to closely review both invoices to make sure I was not double billed. This circus billing time took over 30 minutes. This entire fiasco put me over an hour behind moving schedule. Neither the manager nor the employee ever said, "I am sorry." The 15' truck had worse gas mileage than the 10' truck. Therefore, your error cost me more gas money. I am very unsatisfied. Your company' lies, errors, and lack of remorse to apologize for customer inconvenience caused by your errors, is a disaster!

CHARLIE PThis team is very good about answering the phone! However, they took over an hour to get me dispatched on a Ubox that was already loaded and ready to go. Once, we returned to pickup second Ubox took another hour to get swapped out. So if you are dealing with Uboxes please look forward to sitting at this U-Haul location for awhile(2 hrs of wasted time).

I finally decided to give up and move my belongings out after paying almost $100 a month and receiving poor service, I DO NOT recommend this storage facility.

The U-Haul facility that I was told to pickup from was closed and had to go to another one to pickup a vehicle. Then once I returned from moving my household goods the storage that was given to me wasn't available to store my furniture and had to downgrade to smaller unit. Also once I was returning the U-Haul the destination was wrong for the drop-off and was advised to take across town to another location which added miles. In my opinion it was alot of wasted time that wasn't necessary and I definitely wouldn't recommend this to any friends or relatives.

Jeff L | Overall ExperienceI reserved a 5x8x9 unit online for $65 a month. When I arrived to move in after driving over 1000 miles I was informed they do not have units that size at that location. I could choose between a 5x5 (which was too small) or a 7x11 which was $30 a month more. Also, the unit is the cargo portion of a retired uhaul truck, which I wouldn’t mind except it is at least 12 inches off the ground with no loading ramp so everything had to be lifted up in to the unit. If I had known any of this before I got there I wouldn’t have used this facility.

The door is very feeble so it can be easily broken but gets stuck when I try to open it. Only leaving my stuff in here because all other places are booked and I have no other choice.

There is no elevator, so I had to carry every item up a flight of stairs, and when I move out, my things will be carried down the flight of stairs. The trolleys are useless if the customer has to unpack them to get their belongings upstairs to their unit. My advice would be to install an elevator.

I paid the high price monthly bill and 2 days later the other storage called and told me they had my unit ready. I called u haul to see if they could prorate and give me a refund on the rest. They said no. I lost that money. Everyone I have talked to said they would prorate ... and every time you go there you have to wait to pay your bill. Cause they are under staffed all workers are outside helping with trucks while you standing inside waiting .. you need someone to stay inside to help customers at all time

Our family had some hiccups during our move and she was all but accommodating. However, the ending result worked out for us and we did get what we needed. I would highly recommend using U-Haul for all your storage and moving needs. I would just recommend choosing a different location to avoid any inconveniences.
