WILLIE WHad a documented mobile pick up at 7a. Did a mobile pick up at a different location about a month without issue. Could not mobile pick up. Waited over an hour until someone came to help, despite multiple calls to U-Haul, the location, etc. Had 14 employees on the clock waiting for the truck.
Jack BPlace is very tight spacing for parking due to checking for trucks being inside gate where storage unit are so very limited space to park and to access your unit.

dionne d | First ImpressionsThe location is clean and the people fine, but their systems are not dependable. I set up autopay and it didn’t work. Thank goodness I stopped by to confirm. So, we set up auto pay a second time and they charge my card for the month and it came time to charge my card for the next month. The auto pay didn’t go through. They were going to slap a late charge on me which I disagreed with clearly because they had charged my card so it was the correct information in the auto pay, and it was put on auto pay twice. I was standing right there. So I ended up removing all my goods from the storage and going someplace else. I felt bad about doing It because the people were very nice. However, between that and the fact that I could never get a card to let me in the facility that actually worked that I had to be at the facility only when the office was available in order to get in and out of the location. So that was also a drag and didn’t make it worth it for me. I will say the staff kept the premises, very clean and tidy, and they were nice and did not charge me the late fee after all Once I moved my stuff out.

BRYAN WOne person was handliing all transactions for storage and rentals. Rental agent was very busy when I was trying to pick up rental with multiple customers for renrals and storage. Person was polite and working as fast as he could but too many customers at that time for one person to handle. Location of pickup was changed from my original online rental location choice.
Onnie KWe order supplies and requested for them to be placed inside the u-haul upon pickup. When we go pick up our u-haul and open the truck nothing is there that I paid for. I purchased around $48+ on moving supplies that I had to drive all the way back to the u-haul store for. I also requested and paid to rent a dolly but that also was not inside the truck upon pick up.

GYULA HThey charged me for the fuel, even though I fueled the truck passing the original amount of gas. They marked the gas amount wrong in the beginning. I have evidence. I wonder if it's by mistake or on purpose.
DAESHIK CYour staff member gave me and charged me for a 10x10 storage room your staff member lead me to a five by 10 storage room. Luckily for me, one of your renters witness that and help me correct her as she did not believe me. She did not know the difference between a 5x10 storage room versus a 10x10. Your elderly renter pulled out a chart and said I rent several of these I know the difference this is wrong. Please correct this ladies storage room. The elder man was in the office coincidentally to complain about a truck your staff member did not know how move, was blocking our drive path. Your staff member gave the key to the truck to the elder renter and he had to move it for us. Also this staff member did not want to take the elevator up to the second floor to show me my corrected unit "10x10" your staff member said she was afraid of writing in the elevator. These things seem very strange to me. That was my first day I hope for now on, things will be smoother. I was told my first month of rent is free and I will not have to pay until 30 days later September 14th 24. I hope this is true.

victoria r | Overall ExperienceBroken window lever to roll window up & down (passenger side). Broken sun visor (passenger side). Parking brake was loose and did not work. No manual in truck. It seemed as if we were given the oldest U-Haul truck in the city. Utility dolly that we ordered online wasn't available when we picked up the truck, which made it much more difficult to move heavy furniture from a 2nd level apt in the rain, and I am an older lady with my daughter (the 2nd time that equipment wasn't available from a U-Haul. No glove box. I was overcharged. Clerk /employee told me I was charged for 45 miles @.89 cents. We drove almost 34 miles, stayed on one side of town which isn't far from the U-Haul. I also calculated, twice, our trip miles from each place, start to finish, with our navigation. If I drove 45 miles, I would have paid more money to fill the fuel tank to full upon return. I only paid $15 to bring a full tank. I argued this, and was very upset. Four days later, I noticed an additional UNAUTHORIZED charge, pending, from U-Haul, that wasn't on the final receipt, with no explanation of what the additional, unauthorized charge is for. I have always used U-Haul throughout the years for my moving or new furniture ventures. Now, I definitely don't trust the Atlantic Blvd location, and will not recommend it.
Nicole IHard to get in touch with. They want you to use their app. Customer service rep took long lunch break and no one is left there to man the facility. They missed alot of customers while I waited over an hour. They don’t prorate you. I was billed for a full month and took my stuff out of storage the next day. I was told no pro-ration or refund.

Then when returning my truck no one was available to open the gate for me to get my own car back and it caused me to be late to an event I had. THEN I was told I would be accommodated and get a reduced rate for my inconvenience and when I checked my account it was still charged the same amount and had no discount of any sort. I was told the rep would be back in 5 minutes but almost 25 minutes later I was still waiting out side in the heat

I also reserved an appliance dolly and it was not available when I got there, they were just fortunate someone returned one right as I was about to pull out.

patrice cFirst the kid there rent me the wrong package,I want a one way they rent me a in town one,it was from jax to ocala and they want me to return it to ocala again.Customer service really poor help and they dont know what they doing there,then that same kid send me to another location nearby them to get a trailer I rent already with a reservation and everything price and all,and when I arrived there they lady said it was wrong everything and it's gonna be more expensive.when I got home and look at the receipt she charged me 2 days instead of one,so the company owes me money from that and nobody can't do anything.These company is a mess and at the end of the day they still owe me money too bad for business.

LAVETRA F | First Impressions7/6/24 I was able to close my account with ease at uhaul located at 9411 Atlantic Blvd with Mr Marvin he did a good job, his customer service was very superb and I really appreciate that and the other customers in line as well last week when I went there to get a card for the gate all the people in line had nothing but positive things to say how Mr Marvin worked the office so professional and diligent with urgency to assist weather if it was by phone or at the desk his kindness and his customer service skills stood out and by me being a supervisor in the Medical Field and I work with customers everyday I see Mr Marvin a poster person for customer service he did a very good job I hope Uhaul realizes that they have a good employee and treat him right.

Regina YRegarding both but especially ATLANTIC BEACH OFFICE. Hands down the worst experience I have ever had. Being a client service manager myself I am flabbergasted by the inability to provide what would even be considered a basic level of competency. I would rather pay twice as much to a competitor than to deal with that again. They are your brand and represent the company and the optics are not good. What’s even worse is when management/owner got involved the experience degraded even more. You all really should be ashamed. I think one of your employees said it best under his breath which I think encapsulates my overall experience - “U-Haul sucks”. Kendall WIssue with Southside & Brady Blvd location that resulted in renting truck through Regency location. Nothing, I reserved a truck in advance, got there, truck gas tank on empty, after agent gassed it up, then agent says truck has service light on, cannot rent truck to me. Had another truck but was reserved for someone else. I feel discriminated on because what makes that other parties reservation more valued than mine? Was advised to drive to another location to see if they have the 15" truck I reserved. Manager Rosa was unapologetic in the matter and they still charged me for gas. What about my personal gas in my vehicle to drive to another location? Going to file claim with corporate for poor service & treatment!
MILANI TStore was suppose to be opened at 7 am , I was not informed of their change of hours to 9 am so I arrived at 8 am and waited outside for an hour . Time had not been changed on the door of the office , the website or anywhere else . If you expect a customer on a certain day perhaps informing them ahead of time would be a good idea ! Otherwise staff very helpful and nice !

William BYou can improve customer service, very disrespectful and honestly I can't understand why I was given the oldest and already damaged vehicle out of all the vans at the moment of rent, there was a mirror on the truck that already had cracks in it and none of the mirrors worked properly with the control not to mention when I called in about the mirror not working I was met with negative conversation about something that had nothing to do with the issue at hand then eventually losing the mirror on the interstate because the whole time it's glued down with either "Super" or gorilla glue. Out of all the years I've done business with you guys I've never felt so disrespected.

We filed a claim and was told we didn't buy insurance, so it wasn't covered. NOT taking responsibility for maintaining your property and putting your customers health at risk is not a good experience. The couch had mold and mildew.

A nightmare this company is becoming. I cancelled storage u it and I need a truck at end of month but am going to use penske instead. Sorry I'm not sorry.

The roadways, elevators, and hallways are always clean and feel 100% safe. The managers (Josephine and Antonio) are available to answer questions and are unfailingly pleasant. The process of loading and unloading the items to and from the third floor unit was easy, and the items were in perfect condition when I moved them out last week. This is a very well-managed facility, and I highly recommend it for its convenience and security.

It added way, way more time to a simple move in process because a car was parked for over an hour right in the access hallway after office hours.

Was told they can do what they want in regards to policy and does not have to abide by corporate office guidelines and policy. Also staff left facility with no one on site during normal business hours. No note on door indicating no one on site and would return at a certain time. Also had vehicle left in return area which only allowed one way in and out. Had to drop trailer and turn all my equipment around. My worst experience with uhaul ever.

I went to the door to get some quick assistance to see what was going on, while I was on hold with uhaul customer service just in case they could help quicker. the cleaning personnel knocked on the restroom door spoke with representative in the store, who didn’t even have the decency to at least come to the door to see if my issue could be resolved quickly. the cleaning personnel came back to the door and said the rep told him “they know what to do” with no other further instructions I was left sitting at the gate trying to figure it out myself. While still sitting on hold for a hour waiting on customer assistance rep I decided to email live rep which advised that I was denied access due to the secondary contact not being a different person. I wish I would’ve got a phone call letting me know that or a email so I could’ve fixed the issue before making a blank trip but by the time I got the response I was already heading back home to unload the truck which I had just loaded so I could put in storage. i wasted mileage coming out to the facility, I wasted time sitting at the facility with no guidance overall 2/10 experience and wouldn’t recommend as a first time customer .

You cannot drive a truck in there to access your unit because there is not enough room. It is a one way narrow driveway and you can't drive out because there are trucks parked in the return aisle waiting to be checked-in, blocking the way. it is impossible to turn a moving truck around in this small facility. You cannot contact anyone at this facility over the phone because their calls are automatically forwarded to the 800#. They do not offer one month free storage with a truck rental. As an added bonus I was overcharged. Definitely would not recommend unless you are moving into a storage unit via your own personal vehicle. Had I been familiar with the area, I would have rented elsewhere.

Before he removed the car port I had to go find and Atm which has caused me over $5.00 in fees to get the 20. I arrive back at 4:50 to give him the cash. At 5 I finally got to store my things. Then he forgot to give my the code and I had to go back to get it. Because it was near closings time. Then I finally wme to go back to finish. All in all a simple 2 hour move in took me 5 hours. I was paying for “climate controlled” storage and I found many of my items covered w/ mold and mildew. In Florida I do not consider 82 degrees adequate to fully protect items in storage. You are perpetrating a hoax on the public by maintaining an 82 degree climate controlled storage unit. I paid almost $4800.00 for proper climate control and still had to have much of my stuff sanitized. I will not be doing business w/ Uhaul again-a sizable portion of my money should be refunded.
