Great staff and work fast.
VITOR FPompano was great, considering that I had set up my rental at the Boca Raton location on Dixie highway that didn't have the trailer I reserved. The dispatcher in Boca said they called me to let me know, but someone lied. No one called me.
DARVIN OI had a great experience thanks to Kayla! She was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. MATTHEW KLIVID is an understatement! Your Uhaul storage had bed bug on elevator. The manager belittled situation, time for him to find a new job. I have yet to hear back from over a week ago re the Case/Incident the Uhaul woman over phone put together. I've used Uhaul over your competitors for over 30yrs now. You've lost my future business and I have been telling others of my horrific experience! However the woman in the storage office whom I initially spoke with was wonderful and showed care and good customer service. Additionally, your Uhaul movers did a great job. Unfortunately I dont trust your actual company any more. WHEN ARE YOU CALLING ME ABOUT THE BED BUG PICS SENT AND SITUATION?!

However, the price increases each year was a great motivation. Thanks for the time, overall it was great. Except the homeless person in the white van who obviously lives there. They were ALWAYS there! No matter the time, day, or multiple trips in one day I would visit.

He did not hook the trailer up correctly and the trailer came off 1/2 mile down the road damaging my vehicle. The manager verified the inaccurate hook-up from the photo taken. Horrible experience!

GERSON POur rental at the U-Haul on Powerline & Sample in Pompano was a nightmare. It took two exhausting hours and cycling through four trucks to find one without engine light errors or nails in the tires. On top of it all, an outside staff member has blocked the exit, so we couldn't get our on personal vechilce through and out. It forced us to have to reverse and back out our personal truck. With zero guidance from this guy, we then hit a pole, causing major damage (tailgate, bumper, lights, panel) and landing us with a massive repair bill. The staff's response was shocking – zero help, zero apology, just blaming us entirely for the damage they caused. As someone currently undergoing cancer treatment, the extreme stress caused by their incompetence and complete lack of empathy took a significant mental and emotional toll. This entire ordeal, stemming from their poor vehicle maintenance and negligence, was unacceptable. Avoid this location. The only redeeming part of this experience was outside crew member Cintia. She saw the mess we were in, genuinely empathized, and unlike the useless other staff, took charge to finally secure us a safe vehicle. Cintia's professionalism and kindness were deeply appreciated during an incredibly difficult situation. Thank you, Cintia – you were the only one who cared.

TAMMY B | First ImpressionsI have used this facility for many years. Everyone here has treated me like family: Bladd P. (GM),, Shakia H. (receptionist), cleaning crew (especially Carlos and the petite Hispanic lady with the sparkling hat). I try to always bring them homemade cookies. The only downfall is that it is a little too warm (for me) as a climate controlled facility. It was often 80 degrees inside and since I had an end unit there was very little ventilation.
CORINNA BI rate the staff friendliness or because I was not told the lock was part of the storage unit. The other lady that checked me in was on the phone and missed some crucial steps about the rental of the storage unit. Also when I empty the unit and went to the counter to let them know that I cleared it out, I was told I need to go back and take pictures to make sure it was clean, and I also reminded them that the lock was in the storage unit which they told me the lock was for me and it came with the unit I requested a refund and was told I would get a refund as a courtesy this time because usually they don’t issue refunds. I explained to him what happened although I didn’t get the refund which took the majority of the day from the manager to figure out how to issue a refund he was supposed to call me and tell me the refund went through and I only found out the refund went through it through an email that I received. So overall they were nice, but they were just lacking in contact and communication. I should’ve been told at the signing up for the unit that the lock was already there.

GABRIEL LI booked a pickup truck at a location closer to my house to keep the mileage charge down. My reservation was moved to a location further from my house causing a higher mileage charge. Not happy paying $10 more than expected.

CARL OFirst location did not have my reservation and did not have a 15 foot truck available. It was at a grocer pickup. Had to then call u-Haul to find a location that had a 15 foot truck available immediately while I paid movers by the hour waiting for truck to arrive cost me additional funds which are unnecessary. Had the first location kept my reservation and had truck waiting for me this could’ve been avoided.
MICHAEL WI can't thank U-haul enough for helpeing me relocate from STL to Florida. .The cube was safely transfered then stored at the conveniently located storage facility.I took time to sort through and unload my posessions and found the experience to be truly positive.Staff was friendly, managment effective, hours and format convenient ( exept for the 24h regulation, which sometimes was hard to alighn with my helpers ' availability) Overall , the service is well organized grounds are clean and well-maintained , so I'll be using it again, should need arise and will be happy to recommend U-haul to others. So ended up going to a second location and dealing with checking in on my own and even finding the lock boxes. Why do you only give 1/4 tank of gas.........that will take you no where, so had to stop and fill up on my way home to loading location.

GREGORY LThe amount of homeless people living at the facility is ridiculous. The manager is well aware of people living there. Bladd does nothing about it. It’s very dangerous to go to the storage when homeless people are watching you and checking what you have in your unit. The front desk was very unhelpful. When getting the unit, we specifically asked to register under the business name and get 24/7 access. Front desk registered the unit under the personal name, never provided 24/7 access, never provided a code to check in/check out. When we went to the reception to ask to correct this mistake, the lady said that she did not make the mistake and she is not going to fix it and we have to find the person who was registering our unit. It’s all big mess. We were renting storages at the facility before and it’s just going down. Every year is getting worse

I am still waiting for the insurance claim to be processed. I have not heard anything back for months on the claims and my items being replaced or reimbursed. I feel I need to get a lawyer to be compensated for my claims. When I asked the status of my claims I was brushed aside. The entire experience is completely unacceptable. I kept records of the conversations with the staff and site manager. And after complaining the last time before moving out, I was told that I was offered another unit. When I showed my records to prove other wise I was not contacted back. I feel at this point I was neglected on purpose.

Then more late fees in the same month. We felt like we were being robbed. Plus most of your staff are bad at customer service. Adam was good but the rest need to be better at customer service and learn how to smile.

Richard H | Overall ExperienceThe only reason why I am not leaving a 5-star review is due to the first day upon bringing the U-Haul in for dropoff and to get a storage unit. When on my way to the location, I called ahead and made sure that a unit on the first floor was available. Upon arriving, I was told by the lady in the office that there weren't any units available on the first floor and that I would need to go to another location. After hearing this, and having gone to multiple locations before this one, I was both visibly and verbally upset. After some time had passed, magically she said a unit on the first floor was available and ready to move in. After everything was settled and ready to go, it was a breeze from that point on. My only question is, why say there aren't any units when there are units available?

I had to ask where the locker was, and was just told "Back there in the other building. Next! " No instructions on how to get there, no instructions on padlock, no instructions on removing green tab, no instructions on access after hours, no information on access code for after hours, no instuctions on how to access the building or even building "number". Took 30 min to figure out storage was INSIDE, there was nobody to guide me there or tell me where the access to get inside building was.....no instructions on ANYTHING. Just left to fend for for myself in tight places with a big truck. It was really lacking, totally indifferent staff looking at me like I'm a nuisance in their day just by standing in front of them. Could have been friendly, could have explained all of the above, could have had somebody to lead me to the access door.

luis v | Overall ExperienceI had a situation where I was late paying my rent so I went to the facility in person and paid the rent and the late fee in person in cash a week or two later I went to go to the warehouse and I was locked out of my unit I went to the office and they told me that I never paid the late fee and that's why they locked my unit up and I couldn't find the receipt so I called you whole corporate and they explained to me that their policy is that you cannot pay your rent late without paying the late fee along with it at the same time when I explained that to the manager of the Powerline sample location he came back with some condescending remark saying that he had the ability to override me paying the late fee and that I didn't pay it and I said to him you weren't even here that day and he gave me a smart allocate answer and look about how maybe I was and you just didn't see me that's not true so I called back to u haul corporate and they advised me that I should go back to the manager and have him show me the video tape of the transaction of me paying the rent and late fee so we could see it on the film and see the exchange of money and see how much I paid them and how much they gave me back and change Etc and he refused he said that you haul corporate does not have the authority to tell him that he has to show me the video tape he said he only shows the video tape to who he chooses to show the video tape to so not only did I have to pay some kind of fee penalty fee to have them unlock my unit but I had to pay the late fee again and that particular gentleman who was the manager at that time I can't remember his name but he was a very snide condescending disc courteous almost smart alecky jerk not professional at all not someone who should be in control of managing a facility like that I have had 100% fantastic experiences with U-Haul my whole life my family is always used U-Haul and you can look in my record and see in the past 10 years I've used you quite a bit for I guess you know most people don't move around and and do as much as I did I don't think in the past 10 years all I'm saying is I've had fantastic experiences with all you hold people renting a truck or renting a trailer it's always been good and I count on you all to be a legitimate good company that I can rely on the only reason that I didn't give that facility great marks all the way across the board is only because of that one manager who I consider to be a total jerk everyone else was nice everyone else was courteous as professional as they could be but that guy is a bum

When I arrived to my unit I noticed a large amount of water streaming from the storage unit across from mine. Upon seeing this I quickly grabbed a blanket nearby and tried to stop the flow but the blanket wasn’t soaking up any of the water. So I proceeded to go to the main office. Upon arrival there was a Lobby packed full of people. Two female associates struggled to keep up with the lines and when they needed assistance he gave them an attitude and walked off. After waiting a few minutes and seeing that Adam wasn’t helping anyone I walked over. I then went to ask him for help with the storage unit that was leaking across from mine and that the water was almost at my storage spaces door. He then waved me off said he couldn’t help me and go ask them. I then turned around and went to ask another employee for help. He didn’t hesitate to grab blankets to help with the leak from the storage unit. I then asked him how I can make a complaint against Adam and he informed me that Adam is always receiving complaints and that we can try to call or write a review but he wasn’t sure what good that was going to do.

I have a Company registered with the estate of Florida. I have an EIN number. I have a commercial account, but my clicker does not work after 10pm. I got locked inside last week. Next day I spoke with the manager Bladd and he verified I have a commercial account with EIN number. He told me that he will fix my issue and again I am locked inside. U-haul is not giving me the parking for free. I am paying for a service, I am paying extra to be able to access the gated parking. But I am not having the service. I patiently waited for Bladd to fix my issue, but he didn’t. My patience it’s over.

Whoever you guys have working there is not interested in long term with UHaul or else they would treat customers with the most respect instead of talking back (on camera I recorded it) and on top of it that guy Adam wasn't even helping us out we were dealing with Annmarie but Adam is one who started talking back to us! Truly the worst experience ever. Will no longer use UHaul services for anything. I will pay competition even $500 more than UHaul because you have no respect for clients and customers of yours! And if UHaul customer service actually does care you need to have one of your district managers or someone higher to call us and find out what happened. This isn't an isolated issue as the reviews for location speaks for itself. When you make reservation and have a UBox shipped to this location why would you rent out the reserved unit?! This makes no sense and really shows the fraud being conducted by staff here trying to hit their sales quotas or something because when I already did reservation for $100/mo unit you can't tell me on the day I'm there to get it that this reservation is valid but that you don't got the unit available because you rented it the day before. Let's see if UHaul cares for their customers and attempts to rectify all the wrongdoings their employees who are wearing UHaul shirts and logos did to us at 11:25 am on June 17, 2021. Marijane S | Overall ExperienceI rented a unit from your location on 2/24/21 it was #4243 but it did not work out as it was inside on a second level and I needed a drive up garage door entry. Luckily there was a drive up unit that became available and I was given unit 4081 the same day. By 3/3/21 I was done moving/storing thus unit 4081 was swept it clean and I proceeded to the office to close the account. It was late in the day and over a dozen people were already waiting so I was asked to return the following day. I did that the next morning and same problem a dozen plus folks were ahead of me; I tried to explain the unit was empty and I just needed to check out but I was asked to wait or return another day. On the second return day 3/5 the situation was the same and I was rudely told that I would just have to wait my turn or leave by a large woman at the desk. I left. I returned for the last time on 3/15 and I was told my belongings had been moved out because of non-payment which I explained was impossible because I left the unit empty on 3/3/21. After waiting 30 minutes they said it was a mistake and I was checked out but they could not print anything to confirm I was out of the unit but I would get an email with a day. I never got an email so I called today 3/23/21 to share that the email never came but the agent assured me an email was sent and it was my problem not hers. Such a shame a valuable service of the free storage after my rental was ruined by agents with poor customer service skills and bad attitudes. Not to mention the loss of rent for unit 4081 for 2 plus weeks barbecue they were just too busy !!

Victoria, kindly quit, you're USELESS post update, their alarms are constantly going off while you are trying to make your move which is insanely earth shatteringly ear piercingly annoying. Thanks for nothing U-Haul I will not be returning as a customer ever again. Update to the update! I've been here 3 hours and I'm already finding mass amounts of very large roaches, not to mention the extra extra large rat traps installed in every single unit. The elevator operations certificates are also out of date by over 2 years. This place is disgusting and poorly maintained all around, from employees to management to the actual storage units. I even tried to contact the owner Don at the email listed on my contract and that email is not valid. Don does not want to be bothered with any of your problems & neither can any of his employees.

I tried to check out online, but it said I had to return the key card! I called the location, but got the national line. I explained the issue, and they said it had to be returned. She said they contacted the location via text to confirm. We made a special 1 hour trip back to return the card to avoid being charged $40. Upon arrival, when we were finally helped, we were told there was no need to return the access card!! So the trip was for nothing. The website and especially the staff should be aware of the policy.
