Manuel OI really liked being able to rent the storage unit online without having to talk to anyone. However, when I got to the facility they were plowing which made figuring out where to go confusing since I didn't want to get in their way. Can't fault them for that though, it snowed and had to be cleared. I received a text message with my storage number and access code but when I finally found the storage unit, there wasn't anywhere to enter the access code. Only a plastic tag where the lock would be. After reviewing the move in instructions again I decided to break the tag and open the unit. Inside was the lock so all is well! But it was confusing why I had an access code. The map of the facilities could also use some love. It's hard to read. My last issue was after downloading the uhaul app and signing in, it didn't show my storage unit detailes. The website implied it would but after searching through the app multiple times I couldn't find it.

STEPHEN WI made a reservation for a 26 foot truck. When I tried picking up the truck I was told that the person who had the truck wasn’t bringing it back got sent to another location. Went to the other location and they sent me to another one. And then I got sent to another one. Once I got to the old town Maine u-haul facility I ended up with a 15ft truck. I had it for a day then received a call demanding I bring the truck back because they claimed that someone had made a reservation. Mind you my reservation wasn’t held to as high of a regard as the other persons. None the less I’m very disappointed with u-hail as a whole. I then was told I would be charged extra fees for no apparent reason and then when I asked for the corporate number I was given it and when I asked the service rep at the old town Maine location I got hung up on.

Had I agreed to return the trailer in Old town in advance I would have saved $30. Instead, I was forced to return it in Old Town for the higher price. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM U-HAIL AGAIN!!!

JoAnne HThe staff was friendly and helpful, but the after hours support was not helpful when we encountered challenges accessing the unit outside of regular business hours. The gate to the facility was consistently broken during all months of the year, and individuals were living in storage units inside the temperature controlled building. The staff there referenced that the camera system was broken when we informed them of the people living in the units. The team was very accommodating with the parking, but the off-site parking lot had units that were open and unlocked which posed a safety risk for us when utilizing that parking lot for our vehicles.

Headaches for driver and passenger. She said she would make a note and put it out of order and send to garage. Did not offer any refund for our honesty, or physical illness. If we didn’t share (husband is a mechanic) the info - could be dangerous for next customers, especially if driving sooner.

David CI rented my unit from 2017 t0 2023. My only concern was it was difficult to access unit in winter. Often the door would be frozen, and had to track down staff to shovel/sand or salt to gain access. Sometimes days after a storm. Otherwise, great place, great staff!

Then moved in another unit on a warm day when everything was melting. Also having a dumpster on site could be beneficial. (Just a thought) overall I am happy with uhaul services.
