There were leaves in the trailer most likely from the near by trees. But the dirt clumps must have been from a previous rental. I swept out most of the dirt.

I was paying for those miles. That’s not right. There should be at least enough gas that I don’t have to panic About whether I’m gonna make it or not. It was behind empty when they gave it to me. They gave me the excuse. I got siphoned and I’m truly sorry that happened, but you made it my problem and that I’m not happy about.
PATRICK HWe always do 5-6 day "local" rentals. Most times, I will get a call from a U-Haul rep days before to work out the pick-up and drop-off locations, since "local" truck designations are an oddity for U-Haul. The Saturday before our pickup date, I spent 20+ minutes on the phone with an excellent U-Haul rep getting this all set up and confirmed. However, and this happens MANY times, when we picked up the truck from the origination location, they were confused about how to return it and ended up sending us to a drop off location for the return 25+ miles from our originally promised spot. Yes, we were given "extra" mileage allowance to compensate for this; however, after wasting 30 minutes of my time before the rental with a rep, and then driving 45+ minutes to the final drop-off location, must change. U-haul's "system" of rentals and operations is efficient and amazing, but please coordinate how to handle "local" rentals better. Thank you.

Then when I went to return it , the young lady at the counter was on her phone and didn't even acknowledge us in front of her. This was the worst experience I've ever been apart of from uhaul. Will not return.

DARCE SNo one came out to help me disconnect the trailer I rented. Perhaps that’s my job but in the past employees have always done it. Two people were sitting chatting behind the desk and there were no other customers. I usually tip employees when they help me connect or disconnect the trailers because I really appreciate quality service. Today I felt a bit abandoned with some nonchalant from the indoor staff. Other times this location has been quite good, which is true for most U-Haul facilities.

I contacted U-Haul to inform them and they stated they would put it in the notes they entered the incorrect phone number. I continued to receive emails like this one I am replying to.
TIMOTHY MI am super imoressed with uhaul. I also have 10 u boxes for moving dfrom CA to OR and needed thus last 6x12 trailer and storage unit. It is super nice and it has indoor loading area to get out of rain. That us a game changer! The lady was awesome who checked us in and showed us around and she was very nice. I feel very comfortable storing my things there. And I will definitely recomend uhaul for all moves going forward, i have been super impressed with all of the customer service and the follow up, the text msgs and phone calls. You guys are on top of it all!

The truck was as expected However, I did reserve an appliance dolly which she let me know was not available that they had non currently and no way to get one. but she would remove it from my charge. I was grateful for her however super disappointed in your system the whole reason of the rental was so we could move a friend and their appliances. Had to go rent an appliance dolly at an equipment rental center. Not Happy!! perhaps next time I will have to use another brand.

YOUCY BIve rented several trucks from this location. Its the only Uhaul location I like to do business with because other gas station uhaul locations are typically operated by rude liquor store employees who barely understand the product. This location I think this is a family owned and ran business, they are all super awesome and friendly. I will be back!
Noah DI hired U-Haul movers (labor, 2 men, 2 hours) and checked in online prior to picking up my trailer. I was on time and was told to wait (and wait, and wait) at the counter to pay and pickup my reservation. There's no EXPRESS anything with U-Haul. You rent online. You check-in online, including taking pics of your drivers license and uploading them. But you still stand in line. You still have to have a photo of your self taken when you pay, and THEN you are sent to retrieve your rental. My trailer opening doors had a U-haul padlock on it which was not checked by the hitcher and had to be removed after my protest at the office.. No one checked it but me. If I had driven off without looking while being hitched up, I would not have been able to open the doors to move because it was PADLOCKED for my confirmed online reservation. I will still rent from U=haul as being a reliable source, but their service is nothing like Enterprise. Oh, and bring a tire pressure gauge, I've had 20 lbs, not 50. The "labor" tab for moving is awesome; fantastic help both times now.

CHELSEA GAleksandra has been friendly and very efficient when assisting me with a rental. I usually pick up a trailer for various jobs. Aleksandra is very personable and an asset to the company in my opinion. I haven't tried the mobile app lately because of poor success.
JOE PStaff was friendly, but overall very disappointing experience. I had to transfer the unit again because the previous one was flooded (I have video recording to prove) staff told me to check out the others before I did the transfer to avoid any fees, all the other units had evidence of water damage (upstairs units). So I ended up getting a unit downstairs, when I went to move my stuff, I found all my stuff (in my previous smaller unit covered in rat hair and rat poop) I’ve only had that unit for a couple months. This facility by far has been the WORST storage unit facility I’ve ever used.

Sergio AI often forget to do the pictures and notes on equipment condition because that comes to me via text when all other info comes to me via email. I just have to remember to check both I guess. None of this will cause me to go elsewhere. U-haul is my go-to. Thanks a bunch.

I cannot say if the people were homeless and or if they did have units rented there but it just seemed to be that way so I apologize if they are paying customers. The hallway with the bathrooms on the Eastern side started to have a urine smell in the hallway. Other than those things, everything was great! Thank you for everything.

Homeless and tweakers all over the place. Some even live in the units it was an uncomfortable place to be at with your family and kids. It’s not fair feeling fearful when there’s people next to the door waiting for you to go in so they can run in quickly before the door closes. We should have not be put in those kind of situations. There was trash all over the entry and outside. People park there and are living out of their cars. No security and no after hours assistance. I called and texted numerous times during some issues and not ONCE did my call get answered or texted replied. We’ll never store our things here again and will be reviewing this on Google and any other platforms to warn people of this unsafe place to be. There needs to be major improvements and remodeling. I would suggest a new manager that takes pride in their work and has the character to fix this place. Ownership is only worried about making money, which there’s nothing wrong with that but they need someone running this place before this place runs it to the ground because that’s where it’s heading. It’s gotten worse every month.

Supposedly couldn't leave a voicemail to let me know that my unit was unlocked and somebody stole 60% of my belongings. When I got the unit there was never no insurance pit on it. Lizabeth M | Online Move InI’d like the say thank you to each and every crew member who I met. You all were excellent. Thank you for all your help. Issues I have that are the reason for my low score are too many right from the start. I appreciate the carts but the distance to the units is insanely far. There is only one access point into the building. For the massive footprint of this building that’s unacceptable. The place is labyrinth. I literally left torn paper on the ground to navigate to and from the unit. The numbers and layout don’t make logical sense. I got lose several times. Here’s where I am really not happy, actually quite upset. The unit was filthy. Concrete dust everywhere. Concrete chips, loose linoleum. Missing flooring. Filthy hallways and carpeting. The door threshold hadn’t seen a mop in years. Stained and rusted carpet. And my unit, it’s in the NW corner. There is ansolutetly ZERO airflow in that unit. There is NO lighting in the unit as it has a single sized 36” roll up door for a 10’ x 16’ x 8’ unit?! It’s flat out DARK in there. To the point I had to use lighting and flashlights to see and organize my things. Additionally, that whole wing of the Hospital is NOT climate controlled. It was bloody HOT in there. Due to the whole wing being connected to the only entrance and the sliding glass door constantly opening and close not only lets all the cool air out but the extremely hot air in. There was also a disturbing amount of those little flies that bite and are unrelenting to bother you. I do appreciate the bathrooms and am very thankful for this feature. One thing that having accessed the bathrooms did was make me even more disappointed and upset having experienced how amazingly cold and nice temperature THAT section of the facility was. It’s directly due to the separate sliding class automatic door that compartmentalizes and shields the heat from the entrance on the building. I do like the hours of access. But all these disappointing aspects of this experience had me looking at other locations as soon as I was finished for the evening. There is absolutetly no way that this unit is worth $240 a month. With that many problems I’m mad that I spent all that time moving my things in, and having incurred the cost of the truck rental, all the time and physical and mental energy I’ve spent moving in, just to immediately be considering relocating is beyond frustrating. It’s to the point that I firmly believe that U-Haul would be doing the right thing and comping my whole move AND getting me relocated to the location and unit I already have in my cart on the U-Haul App. Load, Move, and Unload. I’m so incredibly exhausted and deflated. The online image was so nice and appealing but there were just too many legitimate issues that I find it irresponsible and unacceptable for the to be charging that much money to have to many major problems. I wish this report was better but I can’t not be completely honest. Again, your crew and yourself are awesome. The sheer size of this facility and the age I can imagine it being a challenge to maintain. The thermometer read 90* inside today. The footprint. The absence of airflow contributing to the excessive heat in my unit, the bugs, the filthy dusty interior of the unitsz, lack of lighting even indirect or cast light from the hallway is very poor, and I forgot to mention that the fan HVAC and Fan completetly shut down just before 10:00. I left around Midnight and it hadn’t ever turned back on. Yet another really dishonest thing. Claiming climate controlled interior which I’m paying a premium for just to have it have zero airflow plus sweltering hot then completetly dhutting the system down once access hours are done. Thats actually a horrible thing to do. It’s deceptive and dishonest. I’d really like to be relocated asap. Thank you for time in reading this as I know it’s a lot. Kurt H.

Was shown new unit and it was small. New rep was a lady with a heavy accent and she said, "let's go upstairs, I have a bigger unit that's cheaper". Wife and I both understood that as a great scenario. Found the new unit, big ol pole in the middle but it should work. Get downstairs and started asking why it reeked of marijuana and got a lax response. Went to check out and was informed my unit is $35 more expensive. Clearly a misunderstanding but the communication break down didn't stem from us. So I left bothered, unenthusiastic to return, and wondering if all my stuff will smell like pot when we move our stuff out. 1 out of 10 of customer service. Lady was better than dude but overall it wasn't a quality experience. Most likely going to seek another option

There are multiple areas within the building with leaks and some areas are flooded. I have always had great service with Uhaul and thought I would try one of their storage facilities. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I was in a pinch to get my belongings out of a dangerous situation and into a storage facility (I am renting three units from uhaul) but I am very concerned about my belongings having water damage and will be looking for a non- facility to move my belongings to.

But, my initial response to receiving something, other than what I paid for, was less than good. It was quite poor, actually. Especially after finding out that splitting a large unit into two smaller units is standard protocol! However, a day l8tr and the facility made good by moving my contract to a 10x15x8 and only charging me $30 for the difference. There by earning a 4-star rating. Thank you, Claude. You did great and you are going to go far in everything you do. God speed.

He told me they didn’t need my trash. I told him it was not trash and it was very useable Expensive things. And he said to take it with me and find somewhere else to throw it away. It was an unopened box of pans and an unopened weighted blanket. Far from trash.

However, I need to share why I only entered Above Average rating overall. Yesterday while checking out, I received some inappropriate and snarky language from the two young men when checking out of my unit. Upon stepping up to the counter, I stated, "I would like to formally check out of my storage unit." Whereby this young man asked, "Do you want to check out formally or informally?" I countered the young man's comment with something to the effect, "I can do either formal or informal with my Aikido Jo Stick." He quasi-settled down after this. Yes, overall, I was flummoxed. Honestly, I don't know what to tell you, but I really did not appreciate the manner in which he conducted himself with me. Sorry to have to bring this to your attention.

The only two things I would say that could possibly be worked on is the U-Haul portal where you pay your bill. I’m sure that the guys are at the location that I was at have no control over this complaint, but if it ever goes up the ladder, sometimes it’s difficult to set up auto pay or even logon. And the only other thing that I would say that was a disappointment was that I couldn’t have my rent prorated (and partially reimbursed to me) for moving out of my storage a week early. i’m not sure if it says that in my contract or not but I would’ve planned better if I was aware of that. Overall great doing business with you.

He walked us through the process of filing a claim and helped us move our remaining items left by the thieves. We chose this location due to the fact it has a key card entrance, cameras and security guards in the evening. Unfortunately the thieves were able to bypass the alarm system. I'm not blaming anyone except the thieves but I think security guards should be making regular rounds checking for unlock doors and suspicious activity.

Constance C | Overall ExperienceWe were in storage unit 2373 and when we moved out on January 28th, we found the floor to be wet. The smell was unbearable and the bottom of many of the boxes with our clothes, pictures in frames, dishes and other personal belongings were wet, musty and destroyed. When we picked up the wet boxes, the bottom fell out and our clothes and other items fell on the wet floor. The clothes were already wet and smelled. Some of the dishes and frames broke along with other items. We are still sifting through our personal belongings to assess the damage. After we finished cleaning out the storage unit, I immediately went to the front desk to report the problems. I took pictures and presented them to one of your employees at the desk. He didn't apologize and just told us that we didn't request the U-Haul insurance. He was rude and unhelpful. So I waited to speak to a Supervisor. Viola who was the Supervisor on Duty. She did seem a bit more sympathetic and asked us to send her the pictures to her phone which we did at the moment. She confirmed she received them and looked at them in front of us. She seems disgusted with it all and told us that the building was an old hospital (?) which made no difference to us...I told her that this was negligence on behalf of U-Haul and it was their responsibility, from a service perspective, to make it right. She seemed confused and admitted she didn't know what to do. She did not request to see the damage or visit the storage unit. She only told us she didn't know what happened in these matters and she would have to talk to her Manager Richard Gangwish. She assured us she would be in contact with us as soon as she knew anything. I told her I felt it was totally U-Haul's fault and they needed to fix it. She assured me she would attend to it ASAP. I was also concerned that she might rent the storage unit out again without having it cleaned up. She acknowledged my concerns and said they would get a cleanup crew on it immediately and ensure it would not be rented again until they identified the problem and made sure it would not happen again. I also made an extra special effort to get out of the facility by Jan 28th to avoid getting charged for the next month. She assured me there would be no charged and she already cleared this with her Manager Richard Gangwish. Yesterday (2/7/23) I received a notification from U-Haul advising that I was late in paying for the facility for the month of January and was assessed a late fee attached to the monthly fee...I called Richard yesterday and he answered the phone. Viola was apparently there and heard Rich refer to me as Mr. Stoll and she immediately told him that she knew what that was about. Surprising to me, it appears that no action had been taken. The claim had NOT been completed or submitted which I had asked Viola to do back on Jan 28th when I moved out of the storage unit. Rich was apologetic, told me to ignore the bill as I owed them nothing and promised to get the claim going immediately. I received a call from Courtney in the U-Haul Claims Department today (2/8/23). She was nice and apologetic as well but only just got the claim and was working on it. I had to go through the entire story again with her and now I am awaiting more forms from her to fill out. I asked if Viola had sent the pictures and she said no...She also questioned why I couldn't just run this through my homeowners...I had already talked to my insurance company and they informed me that this was negligence on the part of U-Haul. They should have never rented a storage unit that was faulty to a customer and they should be happy to ensure they correct this error if I was a valued customer...I had other troubles in renting the truck as well at the Sparks, Nevada location but it was unrelated to this incident. I encounter service issues throughout this experience. To me it is very clear that this was negligence on behalf of U-Haul and a good service company that cares about their customers should do all possible to resolve the issues. If my personal belongings were damage as a result of our handling, I would understand. But you rented me a storage unit that was not fit to be rented and, as a result, our belongings were damaged. Courtney told me she would follow up and have them go check the storage unit? It is almost two weeks later, and this should have been taken care of immediately. If they have not checked the unit & corrected the leakage in this storage facility before renting it again causing damage to another customer, shame on U-Haul. I have clothes that stink that need to be drycleaned if they are to be salvaged and broken frames & dishes that need to be replaced. We have moved from Burbank, CA to Sparks, NV and these are our personal belongings, some with sentimental value that are priceless. I left U-Haul yesterday due to this company’s inability to credit payments made on time. Hassles and threats are not worth it.

The associate was unwilling to honor my reservation stating some policy even though his co-worker told him he should. He made me place a call to their transport department who did honor the reservation but really it just felt like a power trip. I would recommend giving your employees the discretion to make small customer service decisions because I will now go out of my way to find other locations when renting a Uhaul or needing storage in the future.

I had to move my belongings out last minute and abruptly and I made it for my first two drops but the last one I was 4 minutes late on closing time and I was unable to reach someone in-house to speak to them about the extended hours. I had to unload my belongings somewhere else for the night until morning and ended up haveming to rent the truck another whole day. But I do like the facility and want to give it a chance

The open pipe straddled our unit and a hallway we didn’t use to access the unit. We went to remove our entire household belongings and there was extreme water damage and mold. The janitor said she was mopping the floor up regularly and notified management. In fact, there was a large area of wet carpet and a mop and bucket there leaning on the wall of our unit. We were never contacted. When we left destroyed wet boxes in the wet carpeted hallway I was called a scolded within 2 hours. The assistant manager came to the unit at my request and stated she knew the roof leaked and it was hard to contact everyone. She made no effort to contact us. Her attitude was, I hope you bought insurance. We were refused any money back on the rental of 7 months. No effort was made to help us. Family heirlooms dating back over a century were destroyed. Family wedding photos, antique books, Korean War memorabilia from my father. My Great Grandmother living room carved chair. Many other pieces of furniture and our bed. The extensive list goes on. The bottom of boxes fell apart from being soaked. No replacement boxes were offered. Mold was thick on many items. Framed artwork destroyed. Antique wool rugs molded. The clean white Uhaul paper inside boxes was wet and covered in green mold. The complete disregard and negligence or concern for the massive cleanup my husband and I took days to do was beyond pathetic. We are recently retired and many things we worked for and inherited in our lifetimes was damaged or destroyed. Insurance only covers damages, not lost time dealing with cleanup costs , despair, or unit costs that was a complete waste of money, to say the least. The manager was let go prior to the discovery of our units destruction. The assistant manager said she would try to get us a months rent back at least. The local FRM Chris said no. I purchased 5k of insurance since your facility states climate controlled and an environment like your home. We are reviewing our options for recovery once all the extensive photo documentation is submitted to insurance. The horrendous attitude towards people and their lives is abysmal. You should be ashamed.

I found out through other employees on staff the person who stole over $6,000 worth of my possessions and my identity is a repeat offender at the facility and they still shocking haven’t been evicted from the property (the thief of the facility has a storage unit at the same facility). Other tenants renting a unit stayed after hours and let the thieves in whole robbed me. Management noticed word locks are the common pattern with all robberies on the property and hasn’t stopped selling them to people. Management also hasn’t wanted anyone about the cameras not working in the halls or about the many thefts occurring on the property. My life and my things aren’t a joke and I haul has shown to be the most unsafe place to store my things. Truly unforgivable and the experience was so bad I will never forget it and I will always tell people to avoid uhaul for storage. How uhaul let this go on for so long without property addressing this awful situation is probably highly illegal and I’m seeking legal consultation after it’s become abundantly clear uhaul wasn’t doing their job to keep the entire facility secure. So I’m not paying money for a bigger unit because I was there with my stuff and needed to store. It’s a Saturday and of course it’s going to be very busy but there was not enough staff on to help people. It was a very long wait. Your staff was very pleasant and helpful but very over worked which is U hauls fault, not the staffs fault. They were trying to do both uhaul trucks and storage. It was a lot for them! The other reason for the low rating is your co Outer system is slow and and accurate. I was told it was better to pay my bills in person because of glitches many times payment doesn’t get recorded. Really, in a technical world full of technology I shouldn’t pay online. That seems ridiculous but after losing my online confirmation I believe it!!!!

Having the access code would have been extremely convenient for us had it worked. We got there WITHIN the unit access hours but after the staff had left. Customer service over the phone and chat has absolutely no ability to help you with literally anything because even though it's uhaul, from the website, and the number is on the facility door, they're separate from them and can not help I any way shape or form. Alls the woman on the phone kept saying was, "this facility probably hasn't set up 24hr access." I said, "it says 24hr access right above the security box...it's 8pm..." and alls I kept getting after that was, "there's nothing I can do." It was literally our only available day to move our belongings and we had no other option. Luckily, a very nice woman who was accessing her unit let us in and helped us move inside. So all in all, this facility might be amazing, but holy smokes did the virtual customer service stink! I've contacted CS over chat before and they've been able to help, but little did I know they aren't connected to certain facilities in any way! Why in the world even have a 24/hr CS team if they literally can't do anything? The point of the code was to be able to access our unit contact-free on our own time. No where did it say it wasn't going to work! Make it known on your site that your having trouble with access codes or give more ability to help customers to your CS department.

This was very disturbing. We called and were told by Customer Service that it would not happen. It did anyway. I would have given an Excellent rating had this billing nightmare not happened.

When I arrived there was no ground level unit and it took me twice as long to move in. I even had a rep remind me of my payment due date before it accrued a late charge which I truly appreciate given the hustle and bustle of my life. It truly meant a lot to me as a hard working single mom. When I moved in there were a LOT of leaks in the roof and I even had to change units before actually moving in due to water damage and leaks. Because of this I made sure to get the extra insurance coverage. I'm glad to say that while there were lots of leaks in the roof, thankfully my unit did not appear to have any water damage during the course of my rental agreement. I was also happy to see a lot more tenants moving in while I was moving out. So nice to see a small business thrive!
