The clerk was new so, the rental took longer than usual. Other than that, it went OK,

The young man at the front desk was not welcoming at alll. he looked like he was just there to do his shift and that’s it … for the front desk customers service rep for your company he is not the most qualified person. I’ve been at multiple locations in my area and the customer service had been awesome. Unfortunately not this time.
Virgen ROur reservation was for four days starting and ending in the evening. They changed the contract without telling us, and then called my wife at 6:30am to yell at her for not having the truck back a day and earlier than we had requested. Truck had a rotten smell when we turned on the air conditioner half way through our trip.
MATTHEW TThe app experience is abysmal. Frustrating at best for a techie. Cannot zoom in on receipts. So that feature alone is worthless. I won't be using it again. The staff person was taking care of another customer, finished, and walked out without even acknowledging us. We assumed incorrectly that they would be right back. After 15 minutes and trudging through the app and finally figuring it out, we found the truck was only ready 30 minutes after our scheduled time. The truck itself had a broken door. It did not close correctly. It clearly needed repair. The only saving grace was the attendant who received the truck. She was delightful. Overall, this was by far our worst experience with U-Haul. Hopefully this wasn't typical.
Greg PManager is rude. Lacks customer service. Wasn’t willing to explain check out or check in process. Expecting customer to know process and procedures for truck rental as well as storage rental. Didn’t want to be bothered because she’s “off”.
Brittnee AVehicle drove really rough. It was a fight with the steering wheel and unbelievable bouncing the whole way. The bouncing was so bad the mirror wouldn't stay in the position that I needed it to be. The staff has no understanding of the term "customer service ".

Mary MViki Bryant has horrible customer service skills. After waiting for her, I called to inform her we were at the front door. She pulls up,without acknowledging us and enters the side door. We were left standing outside until I realized she was sitting at the desk. I completed everything online,she states I did not. Then we re-do EVERYTHING. Such a waste of time. When I look at the finalized receipt, it has ALL the information from my original online reservation. Viki really enjoyed hearing herself talk. I rented the storage on 3/3,with a free 1st month. Then on 3/6,Viki sends me a delinquent invoice! This is a terrible situation.

Scott DThe vehicle we rented had a damaged door lock that still worked the first time I used it, but later became a problem and a blessing. I was in a hurry to beat nightfall and did not tell the manager about it until I was on my way out of town with the truck. I called him and let him know of the issue. Several hours and 100 miles later I locked the keys in the cab. I called the help line and was told by the person on the line that the additional insurance I purchased from you did not cover the $210 cost of a locksmith. So, I went back to the truck and wiggled the damaged lock out far enough to see the link and turned it to unlock the truck. There is also a drive line vibration at freeway speeds. It is not a wheel balance issue. Minor variations in the throttle/load changes or reduces the vibration. U-joints and/or center support bearing, transmission mount etc.. Last the mirrors were difficult to adjust. We are a repeat customer and your equipment is always roadworthy. Never had an issue that delayed my trips. Thanks, Rusty

Jeff WEverything was fine just when i get my truck there was one in front of it so the lady said she would move it so i could pull out, but she said “ we dont have the keys to it” which makes no sense cause they had the truck in the lot. so instead i took a different truck. Mind you , the FIRST TRUCK I HAD was at 5/8 full tank of gas. this NEW TRUCK had a little less than half a tank so i put the gas back to where it was originally. and was charged for “not filling it up” even though i had filled it up. And at the store it TOLD THE LADY ID BE USING 30 miles roughly and WAS CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $18 for going over the miles. I was only pinned in for 20 even though i DEFINITELY told the lady 30 miles lol i know the distance of where i went. i was also supposed to get a new agreement/ contract when getting the 2nd truck and never received it. So i got charged an overage fee for something id already told them about. My original total was just under $50 at $1.09 per mile truck being 19.95 or so itself plus $32 and some change in miles. which was fine but the extra 18 on top seems redundant and i would like this charge disputed if possible thanks and whats funny to me is they were just getting lectured by the manager about how they need to be better with the trucks and having more care around the workplace lol so this or something similar is a recurring issue.
Corbin CMade the move great & much simpler. BUT was charged for 2 gallons of fuel and driver the truck a total of 9 miles! No way I used enough fuel for them o charge me. That’s a racket!
Suanne BThis company decided to charge me an extra $100 fuel bill. Even though I brought the truck back with more fuel than It left with. I requested multiple times to get this fixed but they never did. Which put me on a hold to where I couldnt rent a trailer until that bill was paid. I recommend always taking photos pre driving and after because this company will screw you over in a heartbeat.
Paul ETried 24/7, it didn't work. It kept spinning, spinning. If I hadn't gotten there before the store closed I wouldn't have been able to pick up the rental.
Howard HWe got this truck for the afternoon. The inside was clean. When I opened the box there was a bunch of junk in there from the last person who had the truck. I wasn’t overly worried about it. My wife and I cleaned it out. It was much cleaner when I dropped it back off and I was charged a $25 cleaning fee. Not cool. I’m pretty much done with U-Haul There will be no repeat or referral business coming from me.

Aaron BI was told I would get 14 back if I dropped off at another location and left it at an 1/4 a tank since I got it at 1/8 a tank. I filled up to 1/4 went to the closest location near me. When I tried to drop it off it told me I would get a fee for dropping it off at the wrong location. Had to add miles and drive it across town to another location that was out of my way and put me behind an hr on my day. I was informed to do something that I could not do after hrs when it was known at the time of pickup it would be an after hours return.

Nick LWhen I originally applied for the rental of a two-axel trailer, on-line, I purposely omitted the insurance charge. I picked up and returned the trailer the same day on 09/21. I noticed an $8 charge for insurance had been put on the paperwork. I asked the employee to remove it from the charges. He called his supervisor and they agreed to remove the charge. Four days later the charge appears on my credit card with the insurance included with the charge. For future customers, watch for these type of bait and switch tactics Uhaul uses to default the customer.

The only problem is is that I was not told that there is one keypad for deactivating my unit and one for getting in at night. Once I met with an employee of the storage facility, they explained this to me and told me that there is also a credit type card that I can use to swipe to check in and out. Had this been told to me or explained before I started my move. It would’ve been a lot less confusing and easier. Other than this small glitch, it has been a wonderful process, and I am very happy with the place and it’s employees. They are great.

When I went to go get in my storage unit the system still showed me in the one complete unit at the bottom outside so it was one headache after the other I was told that the staff member that originally checked us in was fired so it was just a mess the whole way but now everything is fine and we still use the facility. I just believe the process was ridiculous and half of the staff had no idea what they were doing but the general manager fixed everything so now everything is correct in the computer after 2 months

I was able to get a claim filed and refunded for my mattresses being damaged. Aside from that, the office staff is lovely and the indoor facility was clean each visit.

The next month we got a bill for the next month. I tried calling several several times. On two occasions I finally was able to speak to someone and they said the manager would have to call me back to get the charge removed and the account closed. That never happened. I finally had to drive to the facility which is an hour and half away to talk to the manager. He was great and only took two minutes to close and reimburse me. He said no one ever let him know about the issue and to call me. Please make it easier to contact the stores, via email or something else. The calls do not work.

I was having a rough day and the last thing I wanted to do was go to U-Haul to rent a storage unit. She made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. A simple conversation about football teams was all it took to make my day a whole lot better. She has a way of connecting with customers that I can’t even put into words. For that I am thankful.

I was assigned an ADA unit without my knowledge and when I called to simply tried to understand what that meant and if I could change I was met with resistance and rude behavior. My wife and I spent 3 hours unloading our UHaul and had a few small items outside the sliding door. A U Haul employee came over to say the doors close at 8 and we said, "No problem, we'll just get those last few items inside!" When we came back 30 seconds later at 7:55 he had already locked the doors. It would have a simple courtesy to give us 2 minutes to pull the remainder of our things in.

They were in there bickering about who's working what shift and more concerned with one another's schedule then helping me get my unit setup. They took forever. One of them had their vehicle parked on a U-Haul trailer right in front of the office. Once I finally got my unit set-up, I had to wait for them to finish arguing before she came out to them back her car off the trailer, then park it, then hop in her U-Haul truck and then finally move out of the way so I can begin offloading some of my belongings into the unit. My second time I went there to actually finish placing my belongings in the unit, it had a lock on it saying that the bill hadn't been paid. I literally just opened the unit the weekend prior and made payment at that time...? I go in the front office and he tells me that wasn't my unit and I tell him that's the unit the woman walked me to and opened for me to place my lock on it. He pops off the hold and asks that I use my key to see if it worked on the lock and so I did, and it worked. He said the account must've been set-up with the wrong unit. The girl that was there my first day was so busy arguing and wondering who's working what shift that she walked me to the wrong unit. I was flying back and forth out of states so had i shown up at a time when the office wasn't open, this would've thrown off my entire travel plans as I was only there for that day to move my belongings in the unit. Am so surprised of the lack of sense of urgency your staff demonstrated and that their work schedule was so important that they thought it was warranted for me to hear as I stand there waiting to be assisted. Then they have no focus on the task that I get walked to the wrong unit...

We reserved a 10x10 but there was not one available when we got there so we had to upgrade to a 10x15 which costs more money. The rep at the site did help us by offering our first month free. We also had a lot of trouble checking out the truck we rented online and even more trouble checking it back in. The guy that helped us with checking it out was very helpful. The woman that was there when we dropped it off was not helpful and was very rude. She blamed us for not taking a picture when we picked up the vehicle even though we were not told to do so. She was also very rude to the employee she called on the phone in front of us. She told us to give her the keys and said nothing else. I was very disappointed in her customer service.

Felicia P | Overall ExperienceWe have used this facility twice. We booked indoor climate controlled unit. The first time was seemless and our things were in good shapre when we moved out. The scond time was not a good experience. We showed up in May with 2 car loads of things to store with a reservation that we booked on line. We were told that they would not honor that reservation for climate control as there were no left. We had to catch our plane so had not other choice but to take a larger non climate controlled bay that cost nearly double!! When i spoke to the manager they gave us a slight discount but did not make up for the difference. Also when we picked up our things many of the linens were ruined as they were covered with spiders grasshopers and had a smell that was not removed with washing. Unfortunately we can not risk booking with them again.

It took me well over one hr just to get my storage # from him. Then I took my equipment back a day early and there were no perks or opportunity to get anything back for early return in fact they said I was over mileage by 2 or 3 miles. Its just really not very people friendly.

While I was reserving a U-Haul online i was given the opportunity to also select a storage and get the first month free. That is the ONLY reason I decided to reserve a storage. My confirmation and reservation on my app even said the first month would be free and my first payment isn’t due until next month, but of course after moving for hours and finally getting to Waco I was told my first month would not be free because I’m taking one of the last two available and of course I had already moved everything to the location and had no choice to stay unless I wanted to call and hope for a last minute stowage unit elsewhere. Extremely disappointed.

From there, I was told I needed to buy another lock for my unit. When I opened my unit the alarm went off, and there was a lock sitting in the unit. I tried to return a lock to the office, and they told me I couldn’t return it. I’m also not confident that the access code they gave me works. Not worth the price; I will not be recommending this facility in the future.

robert m | First ImpressionsSome staff were not friendly and some were; overall just luke warm I felt. Not all of the staff was trained on did not always go the extra mile to help. The office was not opened all of the time because the one person on duty was "on the property" and no help was available at times when needed. Hours were not as good as the could have been, 24/7 access should not have to be asked for by the customer. Another big issue we had was the computer system kept dropping key info and we have to go to the office, if it was open, and have the keys reset because the network had gone down and data had to be reset. We have a climate controlled room here for about 2 years but most likely would not use this facility again.

I asked several times if the employee could move their vehicle so I could get to my unit. Other than that, no complaints.
