The trailer was dirty! The wiring was broken and I had to help fix it and had to clean that out before loading. I would recommend the location just because they had lots of trucks and trailers!

It was very scattered. Not much room to pull into parking lot. Could not leave my car - I had to park on the side of the road. Inside was very claustrophobic. Hardly room to move. I would recommend this establishment but I would also tell how it made me feel

If your customer has reservation made in advance please make sure before pick up time that the van is in good and safe to drive condition instead of having just 1 van left with dead battery as I experienced and had to wait 1 hour for my reserved van that i needed.

Overall, the service was satisfactory. However, I found the per-kilometer charge to be quite high compared to other providers. I would also recommend making the insurance policy more flexible, for instance, if no accident or claim is made during the rental period, it would be reasonable to consider a partial refund. This approach is already being adopted by some competitors and would greatly enhance customer satisfaction.

I reserved for an 8am pick up. I get there and do the online pick up. Says to call the contact center. Then they tell me they didnt set it up for the pick up. So I come back at 9am. I once again use the app and pick up my keys.. except my truck is so far back blocked by a bunch of trucks and all I got from the worker was ya you'll have to wait til this big line of people move behind you. I wait 40 min until finally I ask the worker to move a truck that was still blocking me.... seemed very unorganized

Upon returning my trailer yesterday to the upper Wellington location I call the phone number I was given to let them know I had arrived. A man came out and told me where to park it. He said he’d help me once it went through the system. I was put on hold with the number I had called. My husband unhooked the trailer in the meantime. I was still on hold when a female employee came to me saying I couldn’t drop off the trailer at this location because they didn’t have room. I explained that this was the location that was agreed upon to return it. This woman had a shouting match with me in the parking lot. She wanted me to hook up the trailer again and bring it to a different location. She said some one had sent me a text telling me that. There was NO text telling me this. I refused to hook the trailer back up. I have been going to the upper Wellington location for years, have had 2 trailer hitches installed on 2 different cars. I will never go to this location again and will be very hesitant about using Uhaul services at all in the future. I’m very disappointed.

Had to have roadside assistance called as vehicle had no power. Went to start vehicle and nothing. Roadside assistance sent a Toronto look and found that a battery cable had not been tightened. Had to wait about 20mins. Very inconvenient! Poor maintenance check

Truck needed to be swept out. It rained while i was moving and some items got wet. Nobody walks around the truck with you initially. Im not a fan of the app.

Was charged double my rental and coverage fee after it was already paid for when the truck was returned at the scheduled time. Paid upfront for the rental plus coverage and the distance. After returning the truck I was charged again for the coverage and rental fee but they were double the price. If this was intentional it was never stated anywhere verbally or online when reserving the truck.

We had a hassle renting the truck. 45 minutes of trying the debit machine only to have the bank cancel my husband's card!! Our truck dies during our move, we had to call uhaul roadside assistance only to find out the battery died!

When I checked the equipment, it had not been cleaned. I informed the manager, and she asked if I wanted to change it. I said it was fine, but requested that she make a note of the issue so that I wouldn’t be charged for the dirty equipment upon return. When I returned the equipment, the staff member pointed out that it wasn't cleaned. This suggests that the note wasn’t added to the system. Fortunately, I saw the manager and informed her so she could remind her employees about the situation. This lack of professionalism was disappointing.

Overall my experience was excellent because of the staff. She was amazing. The truck was dirty inside as it had just been returned. She promptly addressed this issue. While driving we noticed that the blower on the fan did not work and we had no AC. It was soooo hot outside even with the windows down, we did not enjoy that part. The truck was absolutely philthy inside, the ignition key had trouble turning over every single time it would be used. The fact that there is no on-site parking at this location and one would Have to drive there and park multiple blocks away is ridiculous and should be told to customers prior to visit and not as they are about to leave with a truck. This made for a very chaotic move and arguably the most difficult part of my move was dealing with your company at this location.

This location was good. It was not the original location. At the original location (Harps Rentals on Barton st East in Hamilton -- 75 m from my house) there were no staff, even though they said that there would be staff there. I called the assistance number and the staff member on the phone tried to help and was really good but the online app would not scan my license so I he moved my reservation to another location, several km away. The original location (Harps Rentals) IS A TOTAL DISASTER and I do not understand why you keep such a place.This caused extra costs in mileage and fuel costs. NEVER NEVER again with Harps. The assistance line could not even contact them!

The service was prompt, the rate was very good, and I will definitely recommend this location - and its staff. The attendant even retrieved a bottle of water I had left in the truck. Plus she explained that the original expected amount was only a "hold', and because I was under the free allowance, my bill actually came down. Thank you, and make sure the staff are told their efforts are appreciated.

I chose another location due to knowing how badly this one operates, but they called me the day before to tell me they changed it to this location. Im emotionally exhausted with the ****storm this place has left me in. They made the rental process that was booked a week in advance very stressful. The girl shoved past me on our way into the store, and if physically pushing me wasn’t bad enough this location has personally cost me nearly $300 on top of my rental costs. Haven’t heard back from my complaint yet, so I’ll detail it here too. What was supposed to be a quick pickup we ended up being here for over an hour sorting everything out, going over the details, them changing the price 3 times, going back and forth between the back looking for paperwork, getting every staff member onsite to crowd around the computer etc… no one knows what they’re doing. This was all of course before having to fill out their insanely time consuming digital check in? Something I had to take my time with because I had to document the filthy cabin and box, so I wouldn’t get charged for it later, and document all the damage that did not have inspection stickers next to them, which was a lot. I’m order to do we had to keep moving the truck around while there in order to take the photos, because they had our 20ft truck im a cramped corner of the lot. Finally, as I was pulling out, one of the staff tried reversing a van into the truck. I had to honk to get him to stop, at which point he sheepishly looked up and waved me an apology. After all that… once we finally got back to my old apartment, we only had half the time left that we originally booked the elevator for. This caused us to have to take a second trip in the middle of the night so we could utilize the elevator again, and since it was originally a one way trip we used triple the mileage (Hamilton-London, not a cheap trip), spent our last dollars on filling the tank as much as we could, and that still wasn’t enough so on top of the extra fuel we already purchased, we got charged an additional $113 and they kept my $150 deposit. We’ve been eating scraps of food since then, as I don’t get paid til Friday. We’re literally starving and rationing the bit of food left in the fridge and cupboard, from the $150 deposit not being returned and the additional charges. We were going to go grocery shopping for our new place with that, and we can’t until Friday. If I don’t hear back from U-Haul regarding this I’ll be speaking to my bank next.

10 minutes before I showed up I reserved a pickup truck as I needed to do a dump run. They had two available online. I got there, only to find out that one needed a battery, and the other needed maintenance. So of course a huge inconvenience. Please update your website so when someone expects a certain vehicle, they don’t have to deal with what I had to. Reason why I was super frustrated, their compromise was to give me a cube van instead of the pick up truck. After I was done, cleaning up after the dump run was a huge pain and the truck would have been a lot easier. No compensation, not even an ounce of empathy that I needed the truck over the cube van.

I've always been pleased with the 10-20 times I've rented from uHaul, but this time was terrible. The store should not have rented me the rusted and dented trailer that leaked all over the food supplies that I was transporting. Ruined 12 bags of sugar, leaked all over flour and other dry goods. Wasted more in food waste versus savings of transporting it!

Trailer maintenance was good, new coupler was nice. Only issue was it was dirty and had rocks/rock/landscape debris in it. I had to sweep it all out and use a leaf blower to get the dust out before loading my bike in it.

Made reservation for 5 x 8' trailer on June 8 for pick up on June 12; arrived at location and wasn't provided reserved trailer; U-Haul Rep (S. Princess N) signed out 4 x 8' trailer; Trailer #AO2801L; upon connecting to truck; the following default trailer alerts came up - Brake Adjustment, Brake Linings, Hub & Drum brakes (overdue 4 months!), Hydraulic brakes (overdue 26 days!), Lug nuts & Trailer wiring Connector (overdue 7 MONTHS!) THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE; This was just a small trailer - what does your other equipment look like?! Do you even care if someone is injured or killed due to lack of maintaining your equipment?! What does your CVOR look like? Sounds like this needs to be sent to the Ministry of Transportation for inspection of your facility!! Guarantee that you will not be receiving any more business from anyone I know.....to top off when returning said piece of ______; your store rep kept insisting you were closed and didn't care where this was parked, OR that the hitch was to be returned.....

WARNING. STAY AWAY. Absolutely horrific experience. Huge holes in the unit led to flooding and permanent damage to thousands of dollars worth of my belongings. Employees were unconcerned and unhelpful. Countless messages and emails to the manager asking him to call me, no phone call just passive aggressive emails. I notified them 6 DAYS IN ADVANCE before the end of my rental term that my unit would be vacated and I wouldn’t need another month and THEY DIDNT CANCEL MY CONTRACT SO I WAS CHARGED FOR AN EXTRA MONTH. The unit is empty and my lock is off. Absolute JOKE of an establishment. The manager RUSSEL BROOKER is an unprofessional snobby jerk and should be fired. STAY AWAY.

Excellent and prompt service as I was given the option to set up a contract within the office (no cell phone). The representative, I believe his name was Joseph Costa (as per my receipt), was very helpful and made the process seamless and quick. I was shown were the unit was in the back and how to access it during off hours when it is less busy. Overall I was very pleased with how courteous, friendly and helpful the representative was when I came in.

The unit we had was an outdoor unit. The unit could use some updating as it was leaking from the rain in the ceiling and flooring, a lot of our items were wet and the flooring was in bad shape from water damage. Should be better weather proofed. The guy working was super friendly and helpful though.

My unit leaked water every time it rained. I was sometimes provided blankets to put in the corner to soak up water. After I vacated the unit have continuously being charged late fees and harassed.
