I was charged 40 dollars for fuel unfairly. I filled up the tank to the level that it was received at, and they recorded it as I didn’t. I took it at just about 1/4, and according to the receipt I returned it at 1/8. I have picture proof that I returned it at 1/4. I will be contacting th store tomorrow to protest this. Frankly that’s unacceptable

And then finally the Dimond location. I was 2 hours behind schedule with a separate moving company I hired. Additionally, the unnecessary stress of driving across all locations didn’t help and left me overall discouraged from using these services again.

As the weather warmed and the snow melted, a significant amount of debris became visible in the truck bed. While hesitant to bring this to your attention due to the sensitive nature of the issue, I feel it is necessary to address for the sake of future renters. Regrettably, as the snow and ice melted, two concerning items were exposed in the truck bed: a small sex toy and a syringe. These objects, which most certainly did not belong to us, became visible over time and were unfortunately seen by our nine-year-old child. We were deeply troubled by this experience, as we never would have wanted our son exposed to such items. Additionally, one of us holds a federal position, and we sincerely hope these items were not noticed by colleagues. For clarity, we do not use illicit substances, and the sex toy appeared to be an inexpensive, mass-market item. We respectfully suggest a more thorough inspection and cleaning of vehicles between rentals to prevent similar situations moving forward. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Everything else was fantastic as always, we had two family members (our mothers) with severe medical issues and surgeries and both were ironicallu hospitalized for most of February. ISABEL D | Overall ExperienceI initially reserved truck for 2 days for the purpose of moving.The exterior of truck was very dirty and parked in a dark area quite always away from blg and squeezed between other trucks making it hard to take accurate pics of entire trucks condition.. no offer to warm truck or bring to a convenient spot to check out and drive away. After having the truck parked over night at my residence for which I started at least twice during that time, I started it to warm it up again the morning of the move for which it started. After my movers arrived I started truck to back up to my residence, at that point it hesitated before starting, but did start. After truck was completely loaded I attempted to start again, it would not start. During this process the temperatures remained in mid to upper 20s . I called u haul who connected me to road side service. I was given an ETA of 60 min. I was paying my movers $150 per hr. I did not want to send them away bc they were coming from appx 45 miles away and charge an additional round trip $50 drive time fee, so they waited for road side service tech to arrive. After the an hour and 20 min I called roadside service back and asked if they were still on their way. I was informed there had been a problem and had to find another tech so it would be an additional 90 min. I explained I was paying movers $150 an hour. At that point I had to send the movers home and wait on service tech. Once the service tech arrived it was discovered the battery needed replaced for which he had to go buy and return. This move cost me an extra day plus additional moving costs of $200 causing me to have to rent the truck an additional day. When I returned the truck and explained the ordeal, the rep implied it could have been due to negligence on my part for possibly not starting truck often enough or leaving overhead lights on when the service tech noted that the battery needed replaced. He also tried to charge me for a fuel charge even though I refilled it to the original amount but it was noted the gage was barely a sliver under that, fortunately another rep stepped in and removed the fuel charge, which was the least that coulda been done considering the truck wasn’t up to par to begin with. The female rep was professional and kind, the other rep was not and the Manger whom I dealt with on the phone was less than kind reiterating they would not be held responsible for any addl charges for moving . I ended up getting a $50 credit for what shoulda cost me over $200 less..with the exception of the female assistant manager the customer service was terrible. Moving is stressful enough without being handled unkindly especially when the whole ordeal was bc the truck I rented was obviously not serviced properly to begin with.
Terry MI had great experience with Uhaul storage. Only issue I had was the elevator at Dimond U-haul kept breaking down. You have an employee I want to mention. I don’t know here last name but her first name is Kimberly. Kimberly came to the storage late after the main store had close to help me with the elevator and not only help fix the issue with elevator but she stayed until I was done moving all my item from the third floor. Thank you Kimberly!!

No one ever suggested speaking with management and didn’t give me a choice of how my money spend to be utilized at its best. Leilani R | Overall ExperienceEverything went smoothly from start to finish. The ubox was in good condition and the number of blankets was adequate. The ubox arrived over a week earlier than projected and I had to reschedule the delivery but uhaul was prompt in rescheduling. The early arrival and rescheduling saved me an extra month's rent, which I appreciate. It is amazing how much you can stuff into the container with a little planning and practice. If you think you will be near capacity volume-wise, I suggest marking off a comparable volume beforehand and loading it to see if everything fits. My only concern was potentially overloading the ubox. I was not over the weight limit but there is no information from uhaul that I could find on what to do if the container was over the limit. When I dropped it off they also mentioned that the weight in the box needed to be somewhat evenly distributed but I am not sure what that limit is. Maybe being over the limit and/or poorly distributed weight is rarely a problem.

CHEYANNE SI am writing to share feedback regarding my recent experience returning a vehicle at your West Dimond branch in Anchorage. While I understand that every workplace can have moments of oversight, my experience left much to be desired in terms of customer service. I hope this serves as constructive feedback and an opportunity to provide additional training to the staff involved. On 11/29/2024, at approximately 7:30 PM, I arrived to return a pickup truck. I attempted to park the vehicle in the same section where I had picked it up, unaware that there was a designated rental return area on the other side of the building. As I waited to park, I noticed a female who appeared to be inspecting another truck. The truck she was inspecting was positioned in the middle of the parking area, and despite seeing my turn signal, she did not move for 2–3 minutes. After finally parking next to her, I went inside the building to complete the return process. However, no one was at the desk or in the back room. I called out several times but received no response. After waiting for over 10 minutes, I eventually located the key dropbox and deposited the keys as instructed on the signage. As I was leaving, the same person who had delayed my parking approached me and asked if she could assist. I explained that I had returned the truck and deposited the keys in the dropbox. She responded abruptly, saying, “You need to move the truck to the rental return area.” When I explained that I could not do so because I had already dropped off the keys, she curtly asked, “Well, why not???” This entire situation could have been avoided with a simple interaction earlier. If the employee had communicated while I was waiting for her to move her vehicle, she could have easily said, “Please park the truck in the rental return area, and I’ll assist you shortly.” Instead, her lack of communication created unnecessary frustration and confusion. I hope this employee receives additional training in customer service to improve interactions with customers. A little courtesy and clear guidance go a long way in creating a positive experience for your patrons. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. I trust that steps will be taken to ensure a better experience for future customers.
DAINA DVehicle was provided with fuel at "E," so I had to immediately spend mileage that I have to pay for, with a detour to a gas station to even operate the rented truck. If customers have to pay a fee if returning the vehicle below a quarter tank, then no customer should ever be issued a vehicle with a nearly empty tank. Honestly unacceptable.

I was given a unit that is all the way around the corner and halfway down the hallway. It would be OK if they had carts, but at this time they do not.
