The day we checked out we talked to the office staff and she said she’ll get us checked out and she never did then it popped up that we had an overdue rent and it took them 5 days to check us out. I kept calling the location and no one ever answers. The check in process was easy when it was extra storage but U Haul was unorganized.

When I returned the vehicle there was no one at the frontvdesk and I had to call the main number to find some one to check me out. They didn't take long to return to the front of the building and complete my rental return.

The equipment wasn’t in the truck when I got there. When I went to the office one of the pieces I needed for my move wasn’t available. I was charged a $25 cleaning fee when the truck itself was filthy and there was a piece of a broken bong in the cabin upon pick up. The odometer is inaccurate, I know for a fact we drove less than 20 miles that day, no more than 18, but it said we drove 25 miles. We moved 2 apartments into 1, every location, including the truck pick up, was less than 2 miles from each other. Tracking our locations actually put us at 14-15 miles for the day when mapping the routes we took. With the state of the truck, not having everything I paid for available, and being severely over charged I will not return to this u-haul for any reason. I hope the other locations are better than this one, this was really unfortunate.

Poor communication. Staff is not well versed with pricing and such. Not very knowlegeable with issues and not very informative. Storage rent nearly doubled without any notification and communication.

I only used this storage facility for a short time after it changed management. Overall, the space was decent—clean, safe, and well-maintained. However, the biggest issue was the limited access hours. If you work during standard business hours, it’s difficult to access your unit since entry stops at 5 PM. It’s frustrating to pay for a service but not have the convenience of accessing it when needed. Extended hours would make a huge difference for customers.

Made reservation for this location pick up and same drop off.. On day of rental I was notified that I would have to pick up truck at different location as well as drop it off at another location. When I went to pick up the truck at the new location, they did not have the equipment I had reserved (a few dollys and blankets). I was told they canceled the equipment request on the reservation when they changed the pickup and drop off location. I was then told if I still wanted the equipment that I’d have to drive to another location to pick up equipment I initially had set up in reservation. Making it a total of three different locations I’d have to visit for this rental. When I called customer service they did assist and adjusted the rate to compensate for change and inconvenience. Although the pickup situation was not ideal, I Will surely still rent/lease from yall again knowing that yall value the customer by making things right.

It’s unacceptable to be harassed everyday via emails and phone calls for 4 days past due payment for $118. I’ve received 3 phone calls and multiple emails over a four day period which teeters on unacceptable behavior for creditors to collect according to MN Stat. I’ve filed a grievance and will state here as well. ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOUR ESTABLISHMENT GOING FORWAED NEEDS TO BE IN WRITING VIA POSTAL CARRIER MAIL. THIS IS A CEASE AND DESIST DUE TO YOUR HARASSMENT. It should be noted I attempted to resolve however was told by your General Manager Samantha Vesey that UHAUL only “communicates through emails.” Unacceptable and I will deal with this instance accordingly if this occurs going forward.

The last few times I went to empty my storage unit there were some issues of significance that were very upsetting. Elevators were down. I had to text a number late at night to regain access to my floor by them. One time the only elevator operating was past a standard door frame size and so twice I had to come to that point, completely disassemble and then reassemble my cart as it was too wide to make it through. One time, the entrance door nearest my unit was inoperable forcing me to have to enter the building from far away, and again pass through the regular sized door where I had to completely break down the cart and put it all back on to make it through the door frame. I’m sure it’s a fire code thing, but that door is inappropriate for a storage facility, period. The price of my unit was hiked twice which is why I will not advise friends to use this location. Lastly, as the price went up again and U-Haul purchased this location is the reason I moved out. When I reserved a U-Haul truck to move to a new location and put storage here, someone in leadership at U-Haul spoke disturbingly unprofessional to me and threatened to call the police and report me for stealing her truck if I didn’t have it back within 10 hours because of a mistake they had made. (Bc of uhauls mistake I lost my lovers and my friends and I worked until 3AM moving my belongings). I will never trust or work with U-Haul again because of that interaction with that woman. Up until the point of downed doors and elevators I was perfectly happy storing at this location. The staff onsite with extra space, along with Samantha V was terrific and I truly appreciate them.
