Rat infested, terrible hours, disgusting stench, immediately cancelled my storage unit after seeing how much rat poop was on the floor. Disgusting. Awful. So gross. I had to throw out a lot of furniture and damaged rugs from RAT NESTING AND RAT WASTE.

Ridiculous to find out my stuff has been destroyed by mice and no one left any message about the infestation.

At one point there were issues with mice and the person who worked the front desk was great to work with and had me moved to a new spot and gave me a credit for that month. They were super receptive to my feedback. Fast forward to the buyout with U-Haul and the whole vibe of the place changed. It no longer felt like a mom and pop shop that Extra Space gave. It turned into a storage of every U-Haul truck size which accommodate all of the parking on site as well as typically only having one garage space open for users because one stall is always broken and the other one seems to be a spot where they clean the U-Haul‘s that have been used. The next issue comes in the form of an even bigger increase of feces and urine throughout the storage. There is heavy decomposition smells in certain areas as well. It has to be toxic. A month or so ago I was left a message that they would be going into my locker and cutting the lock due to a compromise in their facility. I later learned only because I chose to drive over to the facility that this compromise was flooding in a section of the storage. I went with the manager to look at my locker and we were unable to see to the back of it. I stated that I needed to have my children to help me move some of the items to see if there was any damage and that I would be able to take care of that over the weekend. After cleaning up the items that were ruined, which wasn’t a high dollar value and I threw everything away, I called the manager and asked for a credit for the month due to the flooding and hassle and she denied that request. I asked to speak to her manager and they denied the request as well. So I asked to speak to that person‘s manager and was put in touch with Bill PIETTE. Bill stated that he did not have a manager, and he was the highest up in U-Haul. He also stated that they would not do a credit because flooding was “an act of God.” Maybe we can put rain under the guise of “act of God,” but the integrity of the building is certainly on the responsibility of U-Haul to maintain. They also stated that I should have their insurance but even with having the insurance, I maybe wouldn’t have been given a credit anyhow. The next month I received a notice stating that my rate was going to increase and I noticed on many of the storage lockers notification stating that the person hadn’t spent been paying their monthly bills. So for somebody who had been paying timely for the length of term and not getting any help due to the flooding and with the knowledge they certainly haven’t been spending money on cleanup of the place or maintaining their roof, I can’t imagine what that additional cost is going towards. I made the decision to move to a different storage facility because it’s become ridiculous. When I went to go start this process at 5:15 PM during the week. I was met with a note on every door stating that they decided to have shortened hours from 5 AM to 5 PM so for those of us who work during the week, there wasn’t very much opportunity to access our lockers. So now I’m thinking what is that additional funds for? you’ve shortened your hours and it’s certainly not to cover employees to be at the facility. I was told that there is nefarious activity that’s been going on in the facility and that’s why they’re closing early to try to prevent some of that. This whole situation just seems crazy! I am so happy that I finally moved out and I would recommend anyone considering using this storage to read the reviews that are negative because those are certainly written by people that aren’t friends of the employees who work in the facility. If it’s a good review it likely won’t stay that way!

She’s thoughtful, goes above and beyond and works tirelessly to ensure people get what they need. From ensuring I could find the unit to supporting me in ensuring it was emptied before I got charged for another month and being kind when I needed to reset my door code for access she is an incredible leader with a very helpful staff.

Extremely disappointed for the amount I paid for 8 months to have to throw out all my furniture with zero compensation. I brought up this issue at closing and the staff took zero responsibility. Had to wait 45 min to get a unit but the staff member can't move away for 5 mins from their desk to open the unit
