TRINIDAD LI reserved U-Haul and 2 dollys well in advance. I was told one wasn’t available and that the other was inside. Once I was to my destination I found out no dolly was inside!!! I called the location and no one seemed to care. I had to call around and by this time there were no dolly’s available anywhere. I had to pay 30$ to rent one from Home Depot then received a call that U-Haul all the way across town from me had 1 dolly available. I had 2 refrigerators and a washer and dryer to move. This was a huge inconvenience!!!! I was not able to get a refund from Home Depot by this time. Usual said I could keep the truck another day without charge only to be charged when I returned it. I had to talk to multiple people and explain the situation so I wouldn’t be charged. Absolutely the worst moving experience I have had!!!! I highly recommend making sure dollys and other reserved items are available!

JERRY SUhaul website says three containers handle a 1-2 bedroom home. Absolutely no way and I had to order a fourth container. I had one king size bedroom and one twin size child’s bed room. There was a washer/dryer, one recliner, and small breakfast table set, but no fridge, living room or formal dining room furniture The containers are several inches shy both ways of the 5’ x 8’ size advertised. 24 moving pads per container was twice the number of pads needed and the pads not needed take up room as they have to stay with container. I would not recommend these containers for an average or especially a large scale move.

RAUL RI declined insurance in my online reservation and verbally to the account rep when I picked up the vehicle. When I returned the vehicle I was charged $60 for insurance. When I pointed out the issue to the attendants they informed me there was nothing that could be done. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future and recommending to family, friends and colleagues that they do the same. Regards Ken Haney
KENNETH HCustomer service was amazing! We rented the largest truck possible, I was a bit terrified but it worked out perfectly! Tons of space in the truck made for 1 easy trip for a family of 6 with tons of stuff/activities. Thank you!!

I put my stuff in storage while I was in a transition move to another town, then I lost my job and was unable to pay for my unit for 6 months. I thought for sure they would sell my property, but that was the farthest thing from the truth, they understood my situation and let me get my property out after not paying them for that entire time. I would recommend this place to all the people I know. Much love and respect to this entire facility and the staff, very professional. Thank you Donna for your kind heart.

CARLOS MThe woman with the red hair behind the counter was extremely efficient and professional. She was able to complete several contracts in record time while being pleasant. Also Dillon was friendly and very attentive. He acknowledged me right away, and even made a suggestion to get a larger trailer which turned out to be the best idea ever for my purpose. I even observed Dillon mopping the back of a truck, and other workers cleaning equipment. I have not observed all these positives in other locations so cudos to UHaul on Ming Av in Bakersfield. They will be my go-to location when needing services in the area.

Maria t | First ImpressionsThis whole experience with Uhaul has been by far the worst service. Started off with access codes being denied several times. I was then granted after hour access. In which again access denied. I would wait in long lines, over 11 minutes. Wait times for calls were around 18 minutes. Each time I came in I would get terrible service by front desk. I was told several times to come before a certain hour, in which I would. Just to be told come again the following day because it was close to closing. My move out experience was even worst. I spoke to 4 different employees each telling me a different story! Now today October 9th 2024. I was told to speak to Desiree. Desiree actually helped, but then Aina came out of the back room for back up. As soon as Desiree called her she rolled her eyes gave Desire attitude. Desire attempted to tell her what I needed Aina cut her off. Gave me attitude and was very short no greeting no type of mannerism. I explained the situation to her she then rose her voice saying I needed to pay in order to get access to my thing an after being told by Nichole the manager it was fine. Desire told her what I needed, and that I DID NOT NEED TO PAY! so Aina called her Grandma in which works at Uhaul. Her grandma who I can hear tell her “correct she DOES NOT PAY DUE TO HER EXPERIENCE!” Aina got off the phone and her only words were “go to the gate meet you there!” With attitude. Also when walking back to the gate, Aina had her wax disposable pen in plain customer sight. Kept making comments. Then opened the door for the direct storage unit, and didn’t give me or my colleague a chance to hold the door, which closed on my friends arm. As Aina just walked away. Now when I came back into the store. I asked Desire for Ainas name because I will be reporting this terrible experience and Aina walks to the exit and laughs and said do it”. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! 0 stars!

This door was supposedly fixed and loosened from my last visit. Both young men exemplified good customer service. Some of the other staff acted like I was inconveniencing them. ( deep breathes, eye rolling) Phones are not answered, staff were sitting in office on their cell phones. I tried calling one day to get help with door but had to walk from back of premises to office at which time I observed them on cell phones. After walking into store and standing for a few minutes I had to say something to get help. Rhere were no other customers in building. I was so annoyed that I called again only to go to recording as staff went back to cell phones. David set me up in my new unit and went above and beyond to make sure I got the right sized unit.

It was a difficult situation and she and her staff went out of their way to help me resolve some tricky logistical issues. Cannot say enough about them and their outstanding professionalism.

Instead she put whatever city she wanted and didn't tell me. And I told her I wanted to find a uhaul storage and didn't even bother telling me that where I was headed didn't even have any storage locations... so I had to stay at a Motel 6 and drive an extra almost 2 hours after driving 4 hours already. And she put a drop off time that we didn't even discuss. When I finally found a storage and was about to drop of the truck (1 way) I couldn’t even do it because of the person at White Lane Bakersfield location messed up the drop off location. It caused soooo much extra stress, frustration and time..... almost costed me extra money that I don't have. Very very poor service. Thankfully the location I did drop it off at fixed everything and saved me money.

I got 5 witnesses . Still may get a lawsuit going because I got stuck with a 400$ bill

It was never made watertight or secures from the elements. This location almost never answer its phone and never returns urgent ohone calls which makes commjnication with the lical staff virtuly impossible. This location rented me a 26 foot truck without detecting that the gas pump assemblyvhad been ripped out of the gas tank which caused much gas to leak from the tank while driving. This location promised to refund prepaid rent when I moved out yet did not immediately do so. Customer service at the White Lane Uhaul is the worse I have ever experienced. Once I approached a erk at the front desk while she was playing with her cell phone and apoeared annoyed to have been interrupted by a customer wanting to buy boxes.

She was always helpful and knowledgeable about the process of securing a unit and rental trucks.The only issue is that we had 3 monthly rate increases in less than 2 years for such a small unit (10×10), started out at 124.95 then to 134.95 to 149.95, I ended up securing a unit with Derrel storage for a larger size 20×30 and although it's more expensive you can at least see where your money is going. I can park 2 cars in my unit there and still have space to put other stuff in it.

One of them was trying to get into a fight with me while I had my 2 children with me! It was an awful day and then she threatened me that she was never going to help me with my storage. I prefer pay less in another storage than stay here I love my storage space and the location but because of these 2 disrespectful girls I left.

AND answered all of my gazillion questions and was still very nice! The storage room was SO CLEAN and looked as if it's brand new. It was a nice surprise to find a little "welcome" bag with a lock, a to-go coffee cup and a pen! I have a feeling this was a "Nichole" thing and it was a nice little touch. Thanks Nichole, and Uhaul on White Ln. This is the best location in Bako.

Damon B | Overall ExperienceI moved to a different storage after my roll up unit was BASHED -IN and forcefully PRIED open with lock intact. The thieves took a LOT. At the time 12/18/20 there were NO known CAMERAS viewing the storage units area. No one appears to actually occupy the front apartment-looking structure and there were often questionable persons of no apparent means wandering freely up and down among the storage unit rows I think some are living in storage units. I believe with the rental of vehicles and sales of supplies kept staff from proper monitoring of the storage units. I have chosen a new facility that does one thing; just rents out storages units. I was pressured to purchase renters insurance upon getting this unit in Jun/July 2020, insurance which is now asking for receipts of my stolen items and since I barely have any and clearly this insurance maybe wasn’t right for me I do believe such stipulation should have been pointed out as clearly as the pressure to buy it was. I am glad to see that many new cameras and high tech are finally being installed at the facility. I will use U-Haul again but I certainly would rent another unit only with great caution. Thank you

They were not able to get anything on camera because my unit was in a "blind spot". There insurance did not cover anything because the they stated that I provided proof of insurance. I did not have my own insurance. There was also some female living in one of the units at the time. They gave me 3 months free rent but after two months they began to charge me again. I was moved into a new unit that was by a camera. I kept my belongings there a short period longer and moved.
