This truck cost me 400 in gas consumption. It just shows that I will never take a upgrade in the future. As this has taught me a valuable lesson.

Catherine H | First ImpressionsThe first truck had problems before we even left the lot, and we were able to get a replacement very quickly, which we appreciated, but the equipment we requested was not loaded onto the truck and I, a disabled 55 year old female, spent two days loading a truck with a small, rusty dolly instead of the requested one from the facility. On top of that, I had explained very clearly that the person with me was a friend who would be driving, and I was the contractor, but my name wasn't on the contract. That was annoying, because my friend was not even involved after the first two hours, but his anxiety was involved, because he was convinced that he was liable for anything that might have gone wrong. I added other people as drivers along the way, I paid for the daily coverage, it was my contact information, my credit card, and even my signature on the contract. I understand that the person driving needs to be on the contract, but there should be accommodations made for people who are disabled, can't drive, and need assistance to have an optional field for their name to appear as a contract holder with the driver as an assisting person. Especially since that person changed three times in as many days for me. Thank you, sincerely, a very tired woman who will be spending several days using a cane, resting in bed, and not moving very much as she recovers from a long three days moving out of a storage unit.

NRN RThe truck had to be cleaned but dog hair was all over cup holder, truck vibrated and I had to 2 hours for equipment to thaw out.
PHYLLIS POne tire was down to 14lbs PSI. I filled it up to 65lbs PSI. Easy thing to do is check the tires. I drove 375 miles, across PA., through snow all the way, and it handled fine.
TEDDY WThe customer service at the desk was good. My experience trying to return the vehicle was awful. The application does not work and would not allow me to log in. It’s freezing cold and I had to go through way too much to return the truck. I do not recommend.

JASON DPurchased - the second biggest u haul and the two whell dolly and a square dolly plus some blankets I did not use and did not get a refund in an item u did not use! Then there is the false advertising sign saying with any U-Haul rental get a 1month free storage! Don’t know what happened, cause I believe i did that but did not get any first month free or anything free. Up to cash out time is when the stipulations are about the free deal so now it’s not free and it is not for me

THOMAS KMoving is stressful enough, however, this location made it worse. This truck smelled of smoke and there was broken glass in the back of the truck. The key card. for my storage unit did not work and much more. The only good thing about this location was the friendly staff who did everything they could to help.

JOYCE JThe Ladies who delivered and picked up the containers in Cleveland were excellent in Character and disposition, they were kind, helpful and accommodating. I was disappointed after being told that the container would be shipped on 12/18/2024, it was not shipped on that date, there was no explanation as to why it wasn’t shipped. I had to rush to setup my work equipment, but I am grateful that I received my things. However, I wasn’t able to make requests or edit on the UHall app as indicated. Also the rate I was charged because of my location is extremely high, thought I was paying for help to unload my belongings, not just delivery. I remember telling Britney that I was glad that I would have help unloading on this end. Despite everything I am grateful. Dallas, in Colorado was patient and loyal to the company. PS: I was told that the container was stored in Parma OH, not Bedford.????? I am unable to rate the Location, I didn’t visit the facility.

MANTRIANA SThe staff did not have a truck for me even though I had a reservation. They had to find a truck for me. They knew nothing of the load share program and had to call a general manager to even find out what it was. The trailer was not connected properly, causing one of the supports to drag on the highway and kick up sparks as I drove. I would’ve never known if a car hadn’t flagged me down and told me to pull over and check it. I had to use a key ring to hold the support up so that I could drive safely. When I arrived at the drop off location for the load share in North Carolina, the gate code given to me did not work. The truck did not feel mechanically sound and belts kept squeaking, and the truck was hesitating, as if it were going to stall while I was driving across country with it. Just an overall bad experience for how much money I spent.
ROBERT SEveryone that worked here was friendly and they even warmed up the truck for me, bonus! They allowed me to pick up the trailer on a separate day. Great peeps!

ERIC NThe staff that was on duty when I arrived was not very helpful. They had not prepped the vehicle I had reserved for that day. After walking across a not fully plowed parking lot top the van. I had to scrape the snow and ice off the windows.
FRANK LI picked up the truck late Saturday after the store was closed, and the dolly and furniture pads I ordered wasn't inside. Now I am fighting with U-Haul for charging me $175 for a dolly and 6 pads, that I didn't get.

Also, it would be nice to improve your payment system when using personal checks. I do not know how many times I came to pay a bill and had problems with submitting a check.

We spent around 15-20 just trying to get in the building. The next day I went to the facility and the employee was very friendly and compensated for our inconvenience. We were to that they were having work done on the entrance door. Very disappointed that no one answered or returned “help” number. We were at facility during the evening hours and it was dark outside.

Our rates should have been locked in place and new renters could have paid the higher price. To being lied to while moving out being told the dock doors weren't working which turned out to be a huge lie. I had to move many many times via wheeled carts in the pouring rain in 35 degrees weather. I now am fighting with pneumonia due to lies told by your uhaul bedford office. I would recommend you guys to house a dog in a ditch if it meant he had a roof over his head for a day out of fear you would tell him he could stay for free for a night then the following morning tell him he owes a week's worth.

I believe it is crucial to bring to your attention the numerous issues I have encountered, which have resulted in a significant amount of inconvenience and frustration. One of the primary concerns I have revolves around the lock that I purchased from U-Haul. Unfortunately, there have been multiple instances where the lock did not work, preventing me from accessing my storage unit for weeks. Despite my attempts to seek assistance, I consistently faced challenges in finding the right person to help me. On several occasions, the staff present lacked either the necessary access or tools, such as lock cutters, to resolve the issue promptly. Moreover, when I sought compensation for the time wasted and lost due to these recurring problems, I was met with unhelpful responses. The lack of a prorated refund for the month, despite not being able to access my unit for an extended period, added to my frustration. It is disheartening to experience such difficulties and receive no meaningful resolution. Yesterday, as I went in to clean out my unit, I requested someone to verify its cleanliness and condition. To my surprise, I was simply told to take a picture. This response does not align with the level of service I expected from a reputable company like U-Haul. A more thorough and professional inspection process should be in place to ensure customer satisfaction and the proper handling of vacated units. Additionally, I have been waiting for a return call regarding the refund of my deposit and the prorated amount left on my bill since I paid for the entire month but moved out early. The lack of communication on this matter only adds to the frustration and disappointment I have experienced throughout this ordeal. I sincerely hope that this email prompts a thorough investigation into the issues raised and results in a swift and satisfactory resolution. I believe in the importance of customer feedback for continuous improvement, and I trust that U-Haul values its customers and their concerns. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to a prompt and positive resolution.

We were customers for a while and we just noticed a decline in cleanliness and upkeep.

They were gone to reverse it and didn’t, and then ended up charging me a late fee. I finally got it taken care of but it was an issue and then when I went to get my stuff out of storage Saturday. There was an issue. None of the doors worked except the front door so we had to hold it open so everyone getting their stuff out had to use the same door and according to the lady upfront at the register, the doors have been broken for a Wow. I’m not sure why she said that was such confidence because that should be fixed right away and she actually said for months really did not seem concerned that people were having an issue getting into their storage facility but it’s probably not her fault since she’s just working out front. She doesn’t own the place.

However, while I was in in Florida and had my things in storage it was extremely hard to contact the Bedford facility directly. Seems every time I called I get rerouted all the time and told that their line was constantly busy and unable to get a live person. People would tell me tell that they were emailing someone from there and texting but I would never receive a call back. I don’t actually believe anyone sent them messages to call me. It was very frustrating. I actually had to have my fiancé stop in there for me. Which is why I’m so surprised bc John has been so wonderful and helpful and I’m sure he would have been for the year I was out of town and had billing issues while I was away with my auto deduction from my account bc it never set up right. That’s the only unfortunate part and inconvenient part of my 15 month storage stay. But Bedford Hts was it set was great.

I’m hoping I can fix it and I’m sure I’m not the first complaint about that! Also I just got back driving across country and has some garbage that needed thrown away and there is no garbage can in sight!! Only a litttle tiny one in the bathroom! I couldn’t believe there isn’t a garbage can anywhere! Also I’m supposed to get 7 days with the truck and trailer and the trailer I picked the trailer up the next night but also I picked it up in phoenix AZ and left there at around 10 am which If I get 7 full days I shouldn’t have return till that time I returned in Ohio and there is a 3 hour time difference so It should be returned by 1pm in ohio to make a full 7 days! I was getting harassed to hurry up because it said not should be returned at 10 in ohio but that means I’m punished for 3 hour time difference! If I fly to Phx and leave here at 9am and land there at 10am doesn’t mean it took an hour becasue it’s still a 4 hour flight and same goes coming from PHOENIx If i take off at 9 am and land at 4 pm that’s 7 hrs but the flight is still 4 hrs not 7hrs! I would like to see that get fixed and I’m hoping I don’t get charged for late return because if that happens then I didn’t get my full 7 days and that’s not fair to the customers! But we shall see

The facility had very clear instructions and directions which assisted for and even easier move. My ONLY concern: there are two buzzer systems in which needed to be utilized before entry; yet, they are not as clear to show which needs to be used first and in what order. That is confusing. I’ve entered the facility twice after my original move-in date, and I still get very confused!

It then took nearly 1.5 hours for the employee to find another unit for my stuff , which cost me more money for the movers. I have yet to speak to general manager despite emails and complaint with customer service representative. The staff was rude and very unprofessional.

I think before moving out a manager should confirm on a statement that the unit is empty along with final, updated payment information.

She marked exactly on the paper map of where I needed to go to access my purchased storage unit. GLENN G | Overall ExperienceTo begin with the move in experience at the Rockside (Bedford, Oh.) facility have not been great. When we were first assigned a unit and went to move, it was discovered that the unit belonged to someone else. Then we were assigned another unit. After moving into that unit and being there for a few days, once again it was discovered that the unit was attached to someone else. So, again we had to be assigned another unit and told that we had to be out of that unit in 24hrs. Thank goodness we hadn't moved everything in at that time. In addition to that, the first person that signed us up supposedly attached an alternate name to our account and we haven't a clue who this person is. Seemingly, they just found someone who's last name is the same as ours and attached them to our account. At the time of purchasing the unit we were never asked for an alternate name. This name was discovered when purchasing our current unit. We were also told that the name cannot be removed from our account until we renew our contract. I think this is ridiculous!!! Perhaps I do not understand the process. It seems that it should just be a matter of deleting the name and making the correction. This was no fault of ours!! So needless to say, the first impressions have not been favorable. The professionalism is really not great. Seriously, thinking about finding another storage company, especially, if this type of service continue. This is our third move in less than a month. We will see what happens next! Hope that we can stay put. We have also been customers for several years at the Broadway facility in Bedford, Ohio and have never experienced this type of service. Really not happy!!! Currently, unless things change, I will not recommend this facility. Thank you for taking the time to read this info. I would appreciate a response.
