We ended up renting our storage in that location vs. another storage place in Mount Pleasant, SC because of her help when we were onsite. Our entire move to SC from MA was better because of her. FRANK CThe unit I rented was partially obstructed by a large pipe and steel beam. I asked if I could switch to a different unit, but apparently no others in that size were available. I asked if I could receive a small discount since a good portion of the space was unusable, but no one ever followed up with me. Also, days after I rented the unit, a red lock was mistakenly placed on the door of my unit, restricting my ability to move additional belongings into my unit. The red lock was placed on the door of my unit for "non-payment", but this was never the case, as I had just moved my things in less than a week prior.

CHRISTOPHER RFirst of all your app sucks! I will never use it again, it was a hassle to use. This location keeps the vehicle keys in a broken lock box. The app was confusing when returning the vehicle keys! Should I drive it to spot I found it in like I thought the app instructed? Or put it in line as usual with all other returning vehicles? And lastly put more staff at register while manager is on phone with customer talking about irrelevant questions!

JANE OI rented a truck and a storage unit. I was told one thing and it was completely the opposite. I have tried calling a few times to speak to a manager and no one has still called me. I am told each time she is in the back and will call you back. Still no call.

STANLEY BOn Saturday I went in to see about storing my boat and I felt fine with it but when it came time to do the paperwork and get my access remote for the door no one could figure how to make it work. The person told me to come back on Monday to talk to the manager so I drove by on Sunday and I said I will stop in and that person did not know how to get the remote to work so I get aggravated and I said cancel it.

Mike SThe California location was good, helped me with everything I needed. It arrived on time to Abington and safely. I have no complaint on that. However, I needed it to go to Worcester few weeks after it arrive Abington and that was a little delayed and frustrating. The first time I asked the Abington center to ship it to Worcester center, the operator said it would arrive on a certain day and would be free since it's from one center to another center. I had email confirmation for that. Then, the day of arrival came and my container was never moved. So, I called again and the next operator told me it will be shipped another day and it will cost $100. Not only it's delayed, and now I am charged with $100 for shipping too... It's understandable when the second operator explained to me it's too far for the "free" container shipping from center to center, it is fair. However, when the container arrived at the Worcester center it is located outside on the parking lot. Someone did call me ahead of time telling me he would put the container at a certain location, and of course I won't complain as I never been to the center and I don't know the container will sit outside the entire snow storm. In the California center, all containers will be moved into an indoor facility, but I guess Worcester center doesn't do that and would let a wooden container sit under a storm. Also, I am not sure who's decision to drop the container next to a bunch of flat ice stuck on the floor, it was hard to unload as we were slipping the entire time. Either Abington driver or Worcester worker. That night a snow storm with 14" of snow was coming following with rain, so we were forced to unload it quickly under a snow storm that day because we didn't want our stuff be soaked. We were basically forced to unload stuff in race of a snow storm. I tried to call the Worcester center but no one picked up the phone, probably left work because of the snow storm. We were unable to unload everything in a single day as it was midnight by the end of our first day of unloading. We came back the next morning and unload them in the rain. The only good thing about the Worcester center were the friendly snowplow workers that removed some snow so my car can get into the parking lot. Originally we were excited to be able to upload in an indoor facility, but we ended up with the only container being outside the facility.

JOHN SThe steering has a lot of play. Front end alignment and check for loose/worn linkage should be performed. It was extra wndy and combined with the loose steering made for a challenging and dangerous trip.

I’m going to either throw everything away and buy new clothes and mattress because I don’t think they will be clean plus my mattress was $2000 and it was full of it along with holes in the side it’s disgusting to have to shake mice feces out of everything while you’re trying to move out of the unit.

Very annoying. If the card is not working right you cannot get in after business hours or Sundays as the doors do not open automatically.

I have been storing a small motorcycle for the past month at the Abington Uhaul Storage location. Today, when returning my motorcycle after a ride, as I have done at least 5+ times in the past month, myself and my 4 month pregnant Girlfriend were confronted extremely aggressively by a lady who said that she was the Manager of this Abington location. She had purple hair and little to no teeth. She would not give me her name because she knew she was TERRIBLY WRONG. She started off by saying "you have a couple bikes?" to which I responded "Yes I have one motorcycle?". She immediately raised her voice, and began to verbally attack me and my pregnant Girlfriend about storing a motorcycle, saying that "it was illegal, and that I needed to remove the motorcycle immediately, otherwise she was going to call the police and have me arrested". At this point, I asked if she was the Manager, to which she told me yes. I knew that she wasn't the GM, because his name is Dave Post and he was there when I rented to unit originally. After telling her I rented the unit from the GM, she then took back her statement and said she was the Assistant Manager. To put this into perspective, when I rented the unit originally, Dave Post - THE GM - was there during the process. I made it very clear that it was for personal storage which would include a motorcycle. There was no issue whatsoever from the GM and the team there that day. Uhaul allows motorcycle storage which I also confirmed with their Corporate team after this situation. Not only was this attack the rudest and most aggressive way to come at a customer, it was ALL FOR NOTHING!!!!! At this point, she continued to ask what unit was mine, so I proceeded to show her myself. I showed her that the motorcycle was stored (sit perfectly in the unit, clean, no issues, etc.) and there was nothing wrong with this. She continued to say that this was illegal, that I had to remove it immediately, and that she was going to call the police to have me arrested. At this point, I am fuming and told her to please get out of my face and that I would gladly remove all of my property and never rent here again. I requested her business card, to which she said I was NOT allowed in the office. I then asked for her name, to which she again would NOT provide it. She started to call another employee on a phone saying that she had a "terrible customer here" and "to keep his finger on the panic button" LOL. I then got in my car to transport items out of the storage unit (because frankly I DON'T WANT TO RENT FROM SOMEONE SO BLANTANTLY RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE), and as I was driving away she started screaming "5MPH, 5MPH, 5MPH" (I was going about 2MPH lol) and she was calling the other employee on the phone screaming "HIT THE PANIC BUTTON" (Can you believe this?!!!!). During this time, my PREGNANT GIRLFRIEND was standing next to the storage unit, in which the Assistant GM continue to attack her screaming she was going to have me arrested, the cops were on their way, the motorcycle storage was illegal, among several outwardly and extremely aggressive claims that were incorrect. This caused significant stress on my girlfriend which in turn can affect our unborn child - ALL FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!! I got my items and motorcycle out of that storage unit as fast as I could so she would leave us alone. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY SUGGEST NEVER USING THIS UHAUL LOCATION TO RENT ANYTHING!!! The outright worst customer service experience of my entire life. This lady verbally attacked me and my family with a claim that was PROVED INCORRECT BY THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE (filed complaint to their corporate team, and they were ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHED by how we were treated). The worst Uhaul location I have ever used in my life, and again the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. THEIR ASSISTANT GM NEEDS TO BE FIRED AND SHOULD NEVER HAVE A JOB IN CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE!!!!

John L | Online Move InMy negative rating is a reflection of my opinion of U-Haul as a company, not necessarily the employees at this particular facility, although I question the ability of some of them to follow simple procedures. In July 2022 I went into the office to make the final payment for my unit and to notify staff that I was emptying the unit and canceling the rental. Over the last several months I’ve received countless voicemail messages, emails and physical mailings notifying me that I’m delinquent on rental payments and the contents of the unit will be auctioned off. These correspondences have continued even after a fall was made to clear this up, which I was assured had happened. I wish I could see the looks on the faces of those auctioning off the “contents” of this unit, as all it contains is empty space. If this situation ever comes up as a black mark on my credit report, you can be assured that I will take legal action against U-Haul. I would suggest that you get better control of your employees and train them better so that you don’t end up auctioning off more empty units.

However I came back on Sunday to see if I could use a dolly for the day to carryout boxes which were quite heavy from my apt to my car but the carriage I was using broke and I wanted to see if I could borrow a dolly for the day and would pay for it the next day when I returned it. I even offered to give them a check as a hold but they said they couldn't help me out even though I am female doing this entire move on my own. Was somewhat disappointed as they are getting a monthly payment for the time that I have the unit.

This experience led me to think the staff is poorly trained which is sad because training your staff is the easiest thing to do to avoid a bad customer experience

She could have cared less. This place just doesn't care about good paying customers. I'll never do business with this facility for any storage or moving needs again.

Again, came to office and the desk staff deleted hacked card, it then accidentally deleted my account so had to set up a new one. I then paid for the month , but then got another late fee notice. In the meantime , every day I get 2 emails from you asking me to say why I left and how did I like being a new customer. Please train the staff to do a complete transaction when this occurs as this whole situation has left a bad taste in my mouth.

When calling the Abington number, an out-of-state person finally answered and told me to go to the office. I was in the office for more than 5 minutes calling out for someone, but it was completely empty. I called again and got someone from Arizona, who said they must be helping someone elsewhere. I took a pair of scissors from the workstation and went to cut the tie. Also, the mattress cart was too small for our mattress (most are now more than 8 inches thick), and the loading area was literally a sheet of ice.

There was no problem when I arrived with my movers yesterday, and the clerk was helpful and professional – but I had some extra anxiety over those two days that I didn't need in the midst of moving from one state to another.

When she did decide to ring me up she gave me wrong information about the storage unit. First, my access card didn't work, then she sent me to the wrong building, then when I got to the correct building she had given me the wrong storage unit number, then when I went back to her she tried to blame me instead just admitting that she made a mistake when she wrote the unit number. I had to go to the desk 4 times for help just to get into the unit. At that point I felt like she intentionally was misleading me. I will NEVER us this Uhaul again and I've already advised my friends not too. This was horrible

I have told several family and friends that your packing products and boxes are the BEST for many uses besides, obviously, moving or storage. U,haul and its commitment to moving g needs has made my challenging and potentially emotional season of selling and buying and relocating for a late in life big move a MUCH more enjoyable period.
