I reserved a van for 7am, they called me while I was in the shower to see if I was picking up the van. (About 7:30), then they cancelled the reservation with no further notice. I had the van reserved from 7am to 7pm.

My experiences with Uhaul in the past have been great so I was very surprised and frustrated with my reservation on Saturday. I had rented trucks/vans in the past and never had issues. The service provided all the way from making the reservation to returning the truck was just terrible. I made the reservation for Hanover and received a confirmation email that it was all set. A day later I received a text that my reservation was in Abington with no mention that it was a location change or any description of why it was now showing Abington as the location. I called Hanover to find out what happened to my reservation and they said that sometimes trucks are extended and reservations needed to be moved (which was fine and would not have called if some explanation was in the text for the location change). They said they would have mileage credited to make up for the location change since I would be using additional mileage now for my move. On Saturday, I went to Abington location and was assisted by Robert who was very nice. He could not find my reservation when looking it up by my name. I provided him the reservation number in the text and he told me it was moved to Brockton which I never received an email or text that the reservation was changed again. I was unable to go to Brockton and it was ridiculous that it was changed that far without someone calling me to see if another vehicle would be adequate for my move. He told me I had to go to Brockton to pick up the truck which was unacceptable. After I told him that, he then offered me a 15' truck that they had available instead of the 17' I reserved. I took it because I did not have a choice at this point. What if it wasn't big enough for the item I was moving? According to Robert, nothing on my reservation mentioned the mileage that was going to be credited for the change in location that the woman in Hanover mentioned so I asked about it and he said he would credit me mileage for the inconvenience. I checked the truck back in (the woman who checked it back in was really nice) and she said the receipt would be emailed. I checked the receipt when I got home and there was no mileage credited which I was very surprised as I fully expected it to be processed correctly. Also, Robert mentioned that the Hanover location frequently sends reservations to their location without checking truck availability which is just ridiculous.

Robert the manager was incredibly kind and professional. Solid sense of humor and very articulate about the services offered and how they could help me out. He even refunded me for 5 boxes I didn’t use. He is a fantastic asset to your team. Go to truck rental place from now on. Thanks!

When we got to the location the girl at the desk (I believe named Meghan?) was rather clueless. She completely checked us out for one truck which had a full tank of gas and then once the transaction was finalized and our card processed, she tells us we can’t have the truck that she checked us out for and redid the transaction for a different truck that had 1/4 of a tank of fuel and told us to return it with that amount of fuel which was pretty inconvenient. Not once did she explain any of the rules or regulations that are part of renting and did not tell us that if any part of the truck was damaged we would be forced to pay an upwards of $2,000. She handed us a basic brochure (after we had paid for everything) and gave us the key to the truck and rushed us out because someone else had come up to the register. Once we walked out to the truck we opened it to discover it was filthy. There was dirt every where and someone else’s sticky yogurt drink was in the center console - which was absolutely disgusting and your company is lucky that we discovered it after we got to our destination with the pick up truck. I will not be using this location ever again, even though it is the closest location to me, because it was a disaster. Don’t even get me started on the return process. The girl at the desk didn’t even bother to tell us how we needed to use a smartphone to return the truck and where to bring it to return it. When we brought it back to return the truck there was already 4 other U-Haul vehicles in the return lane and was barely any space to leave the truck. This location is a disaster.

Truck easier to drive than expected. Wish Uhaul wasn't as scummy about dolly/cloth use. (should be included with truck, not this whole nickle and dime strategy)

I had asked for an appliance dollie on line when I made my reservation. They did not give it to me. I called and they said i could come and pick it up or they could refund me. They ended up refunding me but it was a pain because we had to change all of our plans because we did not have that piece of equipment.

I'm 70 hrs old and never TOWED a 6x12 before. It was packed solid, loaded for bear ! The GMC was packed tight,WITH a large waterproof roof bag on top. This was a heavy load. I was careful to NOT exceed the 55mph speed sug- tested for towing that trailer. It took me 40 min to turn the rig around in a motel parking lot ! (not my area of expertise). The people at the uhaul stores which helped get me set up w a trailer, were all very helpful and knowledgeable about their equipment and how to use it safely. Thank you for all your help. When the vehicle is returned, there should be someone monitoring the camera inside, and come outside to do the return inspection, without the customer having to get out of the vehicle and go inside to let someone know they are returning the vehicle. Thank You

The location appears to be a fairly busy company operated location but seems to be understaffed, at least on the day of my rental experience. I was forced to wait around 20 min to be waited on, both at pick up as well as drop off. That is too long in my opinion,considering the fact that I did the pre check-in process online to avoid the wait. Other than that, the process went smooth.

I was forced to use this location due to the fact that when i reserved a truck three days prior at a different location the truck was nor there for me at the time of my reservation. To make matters worse,when i asked the store owner why my truck was not there he replied he did not know. In disbelief to his reaction i stood there and asked him what i should do next. Without even an apology, he told me i need to call around and see if i can find myself another truck. Personally i am done with U haul..
