MICHELE SI rented to transport lawnmower. The Trailor had broken glass that I cleaned up. The trailor was not able to be used due to fact opening was not 6 feet like stated. Stated 6 feet by 12 feet. However, opening is not 6 feet and lawnmower could not be loaded. The young man at the facility knew that I was going to load a lawn mower. The trailor was immediately brought back . However, I was charged the full amount. I would like a refund! This facility in the past have used with good reviews.

Being told we are wrong when we did everything right, did what they told us to do, and checked the lights ourselves is WRONG. Also my sons reported this at drop off so the next customer would not be driving a truck in this shape, but the manager there later told me over the phone that he didn't check it in drive - because he doesn't have to- and the truck was dispatched.

MONICA BThe staff were friendly and helpful. I reserved equipment on-line, and it made picking up fast and easy. Terra walked across the parking lot, and drove the van to the store front. She gave me a quick walk through as to where the lights, wipers and hazard lights were located. She pointed out roof markers, for low clearance, and phone numbers located inside the vehicle. She reviewed the return process with me. Done. I was on my way. The Van was clean, fueled and ready to go. It was in good shape. It had plenty of power and lots of cargo room. For a large van, the gas mileage wasn't bad. If you need a decent rental facility, this is the place to go.

The fact that U Haul called me the day before my pick-up and told me my reservation wasn’t available at the location I had originally reserved it at is total bullshit. I drove well out of my way. I was also charged for a deposit and Insurance I had not previously agreed too with my online registration. I would like a refund and to talk to a rep.

MARILYN MThere was a cost discrepancy on my receipt regarding the final cost of the cargo van rental . I returned to the location next day and was helped by Joey. He listened to my concern about the mileage and looked into it. He found out that the wrong mileage was recorded at the time of my rental. He was able to make a report, make an adjustment and credit my debit card. I am very satisfied with my service. Joey was attentive, respectful and was able to address my concern and resolve it.

SANDRA MOn Thursday, September 19 I reserved a 26' truck and an appliance dolly for the Jerseyville, Illinois location at BMR Polish and Detail for September 22, 2024 - FOUR DAYS AHEAD OF TIME. Shortly after I received TWO phone calls. One stating that they didn't have a truck available at that location (Why not? There was plenty of time for one to be taken there.). I was told I would have to go to Alton or Godfrey. I chose the Sunrise Moving and Packing in Godfrey, IL because it was closer. I was to pick up at noon on Sunday, September 22 at the Godfrey Sunrise location. Shortly afterwards I received yet ANOTHER call wanting to discuss the same situation that was already resolved. Fast forward - We arrived shortly before noon on Sunday. The door to the facility was unlocked. I went in. Nobody in sight. Called out several times to no avail. Called the number on the front door and the gentleman on the phone put me on hold while he called his employee who was at the location (?) - which was strange because in the almost 10 minutes that we were there we never did see an employee. Meantime, we have moving people lined up over an hour away that were scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and the clock is ticking. I was told that "an engine light is on in the truck and UHaul won't let us rent it like that". No phone call to let us know, no alternate arrangements had been made, nothing. So we quickly go to UHaul Moving and Storage of Alton where we DID find a 26' truck. The two young gentlemen at the facility did their best to get us on the road quickly however there was not a single appliance dolly left in this location. The clock continues to tick. We then have to drive to East Alton Uhaul where we got an appliance dolly... while the clock was still ticking. The young man and lady at this location were very understanding and hooked us up with an appliance dolly as quickly as they could. At this point I am livid but what can you do? We arrive at our destination almost an hour late where people had been waiting on us to load the truck. I called 314-355-7902 (the number from which someone called me to change the original location) and asked what location that specific number was connected to. I was told that it was a supervisory contact. I explained to the woman on the phone what had happened. I most certainly don't mind paying for mileage for the use of the truck but I felt given the fact that we had to go to THREE locations to pick up items as opposed to the original one, and then return the items to TWO different locations rather than the original one that had been contracted I really believe they should have waived the rental fee. As I stated I don't mind paying for mileage at all but given the fact that we were left hanging and having to scramble I don't think we should have been charged for the equipment rental - or at least should have had a partial refund. I stated that I was very unhappy with the unprofessionalism of the Sunrise Movers location and while I was grateful for the other two locations responding as quickly as they could I should not have had to run around like a crazy person trying to solve the problems that Sunrise created. Imagine my disappointment when it is now Tuesday, September 24 and I still have yet to receive a return phone call from the 314-355-7902 supervisory connection. The next time I need to rent any equipment I will certainly be looking for an alternative to UHaul.

ERIKA HI can't see how there would be room for any improvement. We rented four (4) U-boxes that were delivered on time, picked up on time, delivered to my new address ahead of schedule and, after we emptied the pods, were picked up early out of our driveway. Every step of the way was outstanding. I can't imagine how a move could go any smoother than with U-Haul. Excellent communications at every step of the moving process. The drivers were friendly, professional and accommodating to our needs. Excellent price and excellent service.

As a as a disabled individual this management on Homer Adams parkway U-Haul expected me to crawl down on the ground to unload my car dolly for $20 are they going to hold my car hostage and not allow me to check in. Whereas I didn't have a problem with the u-haul staff in Radcliff Kentucky loading my car where is this discrepancy coming from in the same U-Haul company where you hold disabled people hostage.

The staff was always helpful and I loved the security of the facility as well as being able to pull into the garage to load and unload. I was a customer for a couple of years! would have said excellent but the last week of using the facility, there was a family living in one of the units. It made me feel very uneasy when getting into my unit. I understand with the laws it isn’t easy for U-Haul to remove them but there has to be something that can be done to make their customers not have to deal with things like this. Like I said, I loved doing business here and would use the facility again, even pay the higher rates than most places, but something has to be done to make your customers not feel uneasy when accessing their unit because of the homeless people living in a unit!

Amber- the Manager went above and beyond for us I broke my ankle and an appointment fell during the time we had the uhaul rental. Amber worked with us and she really didn't have to. Life happens. When you have good employees and Managers you get more recommendations! PS Mike the General manager is pretty awesome too.

Jordan D | First ImpressionsThe facility rates above others for a few reasons. 1. They have after 12:00 p.m. weekend hours. 2. The manager at this facility was very helpful, opposed to the person in Haslet, TX, during our roadside assistance need. Joseph actually worked on getting us help. I had to delay my arrival to Alton, IL from TX due to bad tires on your equipment. The first truck’s tires went flat luckily before we left the store. This meant getting another one and completing more paperwork - delay #1. Then about 1:50 hours outside of Alton, a tire on the auto transport lost treads. The repairman said the tires were too old. This produced a two hour wait on the side of the road. And, yet I was not offered any type of compensation for these avoidable incidents. Beside the possibility of a dangerous accident, I had to pay more to the movers due to extra time, missed my appointment with the realtor and had to find a place to stay.

They were so helpful when things didn’t go like they should with the truck return and super supportive when our 1st movers into the storage were a disaster. Every step of the way was great. I would definitely recommend this location. Amber was friendly, informative and always willing to go the extra for us. I think the other guy (tall, thin and fun) was awesome! We got lost finding our new storage unit that didn’t have numbers on it yet and he come over and walked us to it. Both were always great when we talked about our troubles with the movers.

Problem is when I arrived on the move-in day, I requested my "free" month of storage as promised earlier in person (gave me a paper coupon) and again the on-line process said I qualified for a free month rent. I was told that since I did everything online, I did not qualify for the free month rental. I asked why that was and was told "I don't know why corporate won't let us do that". I went home and called U-Haul customer service. The representative applied the free month rent to my account and said the local business manager would call me. I haven't received a call as yet. The place is very clean and the people seem nice, just has been a pain having to spend a half hour on the phone to get something resolved that shouldn't have had to be done.

Your workers even checked on us the entire unloading time to give advice for the utilization of space. Being able to store our things until our family members can completely recover from COVID was a true Godsend for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We love U-Haul. rebecca d | Overall ExperienceNo one knew how to work the computer system. I had three different helpers tell me three different things. One was at the national call center, not actual location. This is a brand new location, so I am willing to give them a break because of that. I don’t think anyone there was extremely familiar with this location. I hope they spend some time educating themselves and their staff of how to work the reservations and show them how their facility is set up. I would still recommend location in hopes that they get it straight in the near future.
