Pickup was easy and, considering how busy it was, fairly quick. The only improvements I would suggest are (1) making sure the tires are pumped up to spec; on my trailer, they were 10+ pounds under what's specified on the trailer placard (which said I should look for the PSI spec on the tire itself). Also, (2) to avoid confusion and make the task quick and easy, a sticker with the correct PSI would be affixed to the fender. Regardless, unless the equipment I need is closer to home, I won't hesitate to rent from this location again.

peggy a | Overall ExperienceWe had to call roadside assistance because a tire on the trailer had a blowout. When looking at the trailer after the blowout I noticed another tire was about to have a blowout. Roadside assistance was very professional and got us help. The company that came to change out both tires we very courteous and efficient. I guess it is partially my fault for not inspecting the tires before I left the location, but I rented from a reputable company and assumed that Uhaul would not send someone out with a trailer that had bad tires. Thankfully no one was injured because of the blowout. I had 3 boys in the truck at the tire so this could have become a bad situation. This location needs to make sure tires on trailers are good before sending a customer off with the trailer.

When I returned it she was busy talking to a friend and just took the keys than I was charged almost $100 for gas which I had filled. If she would have checked it in we would have together seen it was full. It was full when I got it. I went 29 miles even if I didn't fill it back up it would not have been at a 1/4 of a tank. Now I have to go back and deal with that.

TORY WI've used this location a few times before. The service is always excellent. However, the 20ft. truck I rented needed serious maintenance. The exhaust system from the engine block to the tailpipe was full of holes. Starting the truck on a cold morning, there was white smoke coming out of multiple holes all along the underside of the truck. The ride was extremely loud and after 6 hours, my ears were ringing.

The day before I was to pick up the equipment they changed it to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, which is a good 30 minutes away which caused me to have to drive there twice that intern added 75 to 80 extra miles to my mileage on the truck I had to have extra mileage added onto my contract because of this on the other end in the Chicagoland area I asked for a Volo Illinois return and they gave me a return 20 miles away adding another 20 miles to my truck equipment was fine but I ended up having to pay extra because of all the extra mileage they added to my trip

CHAD BI left my jacket in a 20' rental truck on Sat 11-16. I called the store an hour after I brought the truck back and told a female employee the jacket was behind the driver's seat - she agreed to look for it in the truck and said I could return Wed 11-20 to claim it in the office. I called Wed and my jacket was not in the office. Nicole, the mgr, said she would check the truck and call me back. She called back 5 minutes later after she found the jacket. I want to believe the 1st female I spoke with got busy or distracted or somehow wasn't able to check. But kudos to Nicole for making up for it - I have my jacket back! Good customer service!
GREGORY HNicole was very professional and helpful. Unfortunately the truck was operating at less than half capacity. We had to press the gas heavily and let up to get it to shift gears. The truck got about 5 miles per gallon. It took us over $40 in gas to travel 72 miles. We used it for a local trip. I've used many uhaul trucks. It should have gotten 8 mpg at the least. They usually get 10mpg. I feel we should get a discount or some type of compensation. I haven't called yet to report it.

I will admit that she and her team worked very hard and closely with me when I fell into some financial hard times to where I pretty much was at the point of giving up on my grandparents heirlooms,pictures,estate items and things personal of past that could never be replaced. As anyone who has lost a loved one knows the struggles of grief and loss and hardships therein know how precious those last artifacts are of persons who have raised you since birth.Just as I had given up on the fact that I wouldn't be able to get my storage out It was a miracle that Rachel and Nikki and Jon and staff of 16th Avenue were able to help me and my family get out of the out of control situation and come to a solution and all was good! I will say this about the staff at this location and that is they need commended and recognized by their upper management partners and supervisors, and most importantly the members of the communities that they serve.Also for their compassion during times of hardship,the team effort, the family oriented atmosphere from the moment you walk in to the facility to when you leave the facility they are there every step of the way. It is sad to see them in our rearview but with tears of joy, and sense of happiness we will always be ever grateful and thankful for everything that the staff of this facility has so diligently presented and they will always be a part of our family!! I thank you guys dearly and there's nothing more or less that I could do to repay the hospitality that you've shown! Times have been difficult and I've had to land all our stuff in the storage garage. Short version is some part of the staff and/or management took the liberty to break into my storage garage, steal several thousand dollars worth of our belongings, including kids toys, and trash what they left. One manager blames another, that manager acts like he has no idea what's going on. The fact of the matter is that after my garage was ransacked and burglarized, you all then went in changed my lock and put an additional security lock that had to be clipped off. Unfortunately the police here are completely incompetent and unhelpful without making me wait indefinitely for some to maybe show up and take a report. And of course since the management was involved, as far as I'm concerned, I get no help from them either. We're just out our stuff. I would never in my life recommend anyone take their belongings here to store them if they expect it to be safe and secure, that includes safe and secure from the staff and management hands. Time suck for a lot of people right now. People who have to resort to storing their lives in order to keep afloat. And then these people come into our lives. Smgdh......

However My Unit, was INFESTED with Mice and Mice Drippings ALL OVER MY THINGS, To the point I was scared to bring half of it with me when it was time to Move it!!! It was VERY VERY BAD. I didn’t want any Mice Babies in my New Place, Nor anything that smelled like Mice Pee. It was Really Bad. I had to leave half my stuff there because it was totally destroyed. I use Uhaul for all of my moving needs and I will continue to do so but this was a Really Bad Experience when it was time to get my things out. I will be calling Corporate because I HAD some things that I really didn’t want to leave but I really didn’t have any other choice because of the conditions it was in. I will have to start over with some of my things but I refuse to put them in a New Home in the condition they were in. And when I called and asked, The young lady was like “Oh Yeah” “Sorry”!!! Not Acceptable!!!! Very Disappointed.

How long was I paying extra for nothing at all? This is a very poorly run facility and the manager needs to look at who is taking care of his store!!

Takesha R | First Impressionsin the few months that I had my storage facility I had a 65 inch smart TV and a boxer taken out of my unit they claim to be the number one in security even stated that I shouldn't need any extra insurance when I filled out that the application to get the unit and yet had to grainy footage to even see who had taken my television on top of that I moved out in July having made my July payment they knew and didn't put anything down got a hold of me in August where I told them that I had moved out a month prior in the locket been off and proceeded to tell me things were fine that they would get it documented only to be really gotten hold of in September with the same issue when saying it for the third time I received an email stating that I was trying to shirk my bill on to someone else which is completely false just letting them know for people that did their their checks and drive-thrus of the facility should have seen that the lock was off let alone the numerous times that should have been documented now I'm to be charged a cleaning fee and I don't even know what because they don't give you any numbers figures or dates I would never recommend your facility to anyone else every time I had to go into the office to make a payment or rent a U-Haul which I also did two times it took forever ridiculous never again!

One other note, the truck rental operations often impede access to the storage, Perhaps by switching the large truck and trailer parking it would keep the path open? Not a huge deal but more of a safety as truck renters often stand in the open space, which is tight unaware.
