The delivery location in Sun Lakes had a lot of dangerous traffic, new trucks arriving, fork lift operators, customer drivers all in the same area where I unloaded and it felt a bit dangerous. Unlike the VA location where the box was placed in a secure area with no traffic.

I feel we need a refund you changed Way too much money overcharged us didn't refined it and then after you swore you and I was scheduled for pickup the very next day cuz you knew my HOA was not allowing them to be there.you never showed when we called You refused every time we called. I was hung up on so I got it. $100 fine per box everyday. You're here and not picked up that so 5 days $500 per box. I feel like you need a refund My attorney is thinking about a small county court if you guys don't do something to make it fair

Everything that had to deal with staff was great for me. But the facility was messy and there were no carts available because they were covered with unattended stuff. The alarm kept going off also. The return bay was covered in mud. Other then that it was average.

My only complaint is that there is no lost and found. I somehow lost two small glass doors (13") to a very expensive antique. It was my own fault but I wish someone could have contacted me had they found them.They would have been securely wrapped and obviously not garbage! Otherwise great service.

Once again, Tyler Waltman shines through! I needed yet another truck rental and was given the best options to choose from. So nice to be able to move through the process without having to worry about second guessing myself. I hope U-Haul has more employees like Tyler. I am glad we chose Chantilly U-Haul!

Everyone and everything on the Virginia end of the transaction was WONDERFUL! The Georgia end could use some extra training. They thought they were delivering an empty box to my son, and wondered why it was so heavy, then the texts I received for delivery were inaccurate (deliver between 12pm and 12pm?). They also thought they were picking up the empty the same day they were delivering the full box. The phone connection was very staticky, although that is probably the phone service, not the people in Georgia. Once we were able to communicate clearly, the rest of the transaction went very smoothly. Thank you!

Nothing was the most economical way to transport my household goods. Load at your own speed, then it’s picked up and transported to a secure warehouse in the state where you are moving! When you at your new residence you have them deliver your boxes and you move into your new residence and arrange with U-Haul to pick the boxes up!!! That easy!!

Locking mechanisms were bent and would not open. Some items broken or damaged. Received numerous attempts to retrieve storage rental funds, many notices with no response to my inquiries for containers after they were emptied and picked up.

I had a great experience. The container was delivered to my house exactly when promised. It reached the destination U-Haul a few days early and was delivered and removed from the destination house on-time. I highly recommend the U-Box.

Overall the location appears is open and clean. The Assistant Manager was very friendly and help. However the other staff members are very rude and lack professional customer service. Hearing staff make comments like "OMG too many customer." "When can I get a break." "These customer get on my nerves." This is unacceptable in so many ways.. Additionally, this Fort Lauderdale does not have enough of the proper trained staff to operate a folk-lift. I arrived to the Fort Lauderdale Saturday to unload the U-Box. I was told to come back Sunday. I called the U-Haul customer service number and the representative hung up on me. Overall I would not recommend using U-Haul to any other parent I know moving their child to college.

When initially trying to create my reservation, it automatically added a month of a storage rather than just keeping them in the U-Boxes. I got the confusion cleared up by talking with someone, but it would have been helpful to make it nice and clear that you don't need to buy a separate storage unit space to keep stuff stored in the U-Boxes at the U-Haul site. Other than that, the whole process was super smooth, and the U-Haul reps always answered so quick and were very friendly (and they were all American. I really, really appreciated that).

This was a pleasant experience and I have already recommended U-Haul U-Box shipping to friends. The container arrived at its destination earlier than guaranteed. The container arrived at the shipping address with 12 rather than 24 blankets as indicated in the contract. Once we realized the omission, U-Haul delivered the remaining blankets to us; we needed every one.

My Uhaul Box experience was incredible! Ordering the box was quick and easy, the service was wonderful - they were so on top of communications and scheduling drop-offs and pickups that I didn't have to think about it. The drivers were very nice, and the whole thing was fairly inexpensive compared to other similar options! Overall highly recommend! Such a stress-free way to move!

The drop off and pick up at the beginning of the rental went without a hitch. The delivery to the new address did as well. When scheduling pick up is when things went a bit off. I was told by the delivery agent that the rental month begins on the date they drop off to the new location, that was not true. I communicated when I wanted it picked up to avoid a monthly rent and the website wouldn't show the date that I had chosen. When I called in they verified and worked hard to get the verification to me. The pick up was done on time but there was no confirmation the day before or the day of the pick up. The customer service agents that I have spoken with are all wonderful but it seems the delivery team and the technology is lacking.

i have never had such a poor experience, that is still ongoing, as working with UHaul. First, our reservation, after being reserved for 3 weeks, was canceled with NO communication. They called us one time, towards the very end of their business day, and then canceled our appointment that we had scheduled 3 weeks prior. We called back, and could not get anyone to call us back, after days of playing phone tag. we were told a manager would call us at least 4x, with not one call back. Then, UHaul decided to drop off the storage unit without confirming if we were even there at the location. After we were done, we called right away for pick up, and AGAIN, nobody picked up the unit, even though it was scheduled over the phone with TWO different managers. During that week, we were called multiple times a day to "schedule a pick up" that was already scheduled. We still have had ZERO managers call us back, and after our cancellation, we were out about $500 between movers and booking the elevator. Also, even though our unit was not dropped off, we were still charged a drop off, even though we had no unit and it was not dropped off till days later. Terrible experience overall.

After several decades of working with UHaul, I had my first negative experience at your Herndon facility. Maria and Johnny changed that negative experience into a completely exceptional one. I cannot express how grateful I am for them and how well they represent UHaul. The only complaint I had is that my boyfriend had to call to confirm that we could get into MY U-Haul pod after I had called to confirm I would have access on March 26th, per my online account saying so and receiving notifications about having access and I was told I had to give 24 hour notice before I could come, no other explanation. I explained to the man I spoke to that online it says I can access the pod, and I was told that was incorrect. I accepted the situation and scheduled to come in on March 27th. My boyfriend who had just used this same service in November, then decided to call on my behalf without even telling me he would, and he was told nothing of the 24 hour wait time and was told he could have access on March 26th with no issues. Don't know where the disconnect is but that was frustrating given that I was being told the opposite on my online account.

My ubox was stored in this location, and was delivered on Noc 29th. The empty box was also picked up. But I am being still charged for the box storage for the month of December. Can you kindly refund and correct the system? Thanks.

Only thing is to make sure the storage facility were box is moved to the facility let's the customer know on top of security lock customer puts on door they. Let customer know there are bolts screwed on for extra security and will need to have a wrench cause I went to empty my box out but didn't know I needed a wrench but the uhaul facility was good to take screws out for me othere then that all was great

U-Haul girls ROCKED!! They communicated all along the way and were very accommodating and willing to adjust times/days if necessary. They are efficient, quick and always friendly! I have used this service to move before and it is always the same. I am especially impressed that the rental units are delivered and picked up by women. I believe that is why they are so good and kind with your stuff!! I highly recommend!!!! And the price is reasonable too!

During the online reservation of my service, it was showing on the website to contact the customer service number and reserve the u-box during the call to waive off 1-month rental charge. I did that and got a confirmation for free rental for one month. Inspite of that I was charged the first month rent. I called the customer service to talk about this and the representative said the transaction will be cancelled after returning the U-box. I still have not received that money back. This is a scam.

The Largo, FL operator was great but this process was a COMPLETE DISASTER! My container was supposed to arrive on 10/3 (Guaranteed date) when it did not arrive and they date kept being incremented I called only to find out that no one knew what was going on. Every phone call was transferred to someone who hung up on me. Eventually I had to GET IN MY CAR AND DRIVE because no one at any of your facilities would pick up the phone. I drove to the Largo location associated with the number that kept hanging up on me only to be told that the box was at a different Largo location (the one with the helpful operator Terry). I drove again to THAT location asking for help where I was told that IT HAD NOT BEEN SHIPPED YET!! This after previously calling the Chantilly location and being told that it was shipped and that I needed to call Largo. So after FOUR HOURS on my Saturday of trying to find our belongings I am told they have not been shipped and that an associate had inventoried the box as empty and not full. After Terry finally took ownership of the issue my box arrived 13 days AFTER my guaranteed date. Further, I have been charged the FULL AMOUNT for this rental in spite of the fact that you did not deliver on the terms of your contract. I was literally about to report my belongings stolen until Terry took ownership of the issue and actually told me what was going on. Mistakes happen, that's not the issue here, the fact that I could not get a straight answer, was repeatedly transferred to phone numbers that hung up on me and the fact that I had to get in my car and drive to a location to find SOMEONE who could give me answers is a complete and utter failure. Many of our belongings had tremendous sentimental value to us and we trusted them with you, this entire process was extremely stressful. That said, the on-location operator and the delivery folks locally were great to work with. Also, our first U-Box arrived without incident, I was a repeat customer. I was hopeful this move would go smoothly without hitches and exorbitant fees but that was not the case. Up to the very last minute, I was charged even more. In fact, I find I need to make more calls today regarding more charges. I do not recommend using U-box until they can work out their customer relations.

I just need to say that the staff at this U-Haul location is one shining star for the company. I found them to be professional, responsive to questions and I’ll have a “get it done” attitude. Seven out of five stars! Good job guys! All of my experiences have been like that at this location for myself and other friends and relatives I have helped with moves when renting trucks or trailers. Thanks for a great customer experience. I don’t know if U-Haul corporate ever sees any of these… But perhaps your VP of operations should jump on a plane and go and look and see how this one runs. Most other U-Haul locations are terrible!

I made reservations for both a truck rental and for a storage unit earlier this week. When I artived, I was told my reservation had been camcelled and that I needed to pick it up by 11:30 AM. I arrived about 2:00. Problem is that no one conveyed that requirement to me. Luckily another renter had returned his truck early so I was able to get a truck. But it took 20± minutes to get that done. I took the truck and.packed it. When I arrived at.the storage facility, there was no info on the document I received at truck rental time. I assumed the info was somewhere on that doc but I hadn't checked it prior to then. Then I'm told no unit had been reserved in the system. 15 minutes later the guy hepling me (who was outstanding) hot me set up. So for making reservations days in advance, I was forced to spend over a half hour and plenty of angst/frustration getting what I expected to already be complete.

The entire Chantilly office staff treats you like family and that keeps you coming back again and again. Plenty of inventory. I love the 24/7 access. Having access based on the renters personal schedule was the winner for me. The covered private garage access to load/unload during inclement weather was by far the best. There were some systemic problems moving in. First, I couldn't find the unit and there were no instructions sent. Second, the system did not have me registered (I tried using the code as of yesterday it still lists me as "Pamela." When I tried to open it, the alarm went off. Third, no one tells you to bring scissors to cut the plastic lock, or cuts the lock before you arrive. Fortunately, the desk was very helpful in resolving all these problems so after 30 minutes I was able to move in.
