What I’m not happy about is that what I agreed to required me to pick a truck up at one location and drop it off at another so that I would have a free month of the storage Locker. When I arrived, they told me not only did they not have the 10 x 10 locker that I ordered but that they were at 90 some percent capacity and couldn’t honor the free month of rental. This is not acceptable! I would’ve picked up and dropped off at the same location had I known this. We had to figure out how to get all the furniture into two 5 x 10 lockers since the 10 x 10 I ordered wasn’t available. I don’t understand how I can order something online, call back two different times with questions and to change a time, and no one actually said that when I showed up with a truck full of furniture that I may not have somewhere to store it. Ridiculous! I fully expect the one month of free rental that I was offered. I didn’t ask for this. It was offered. RICHARD TEverything was great. Clean and secure, and very convenient with the indoor parking for loading and unloading. Restrooms clean, too. Only drawback was it became a little expensive for storing stuff I rarely used and mostly didn’t need!
Brett S | Overall ExperienceIt does not have to do with the location, but the process. I could not get a trailer to haul a vehicle for safety reasons but I could get a car dolly for the same vehicle. The vehicle being hauled fit into the dimensions of the trailer and had no parts that would scrape. I had to drive it over an hour, car dollies are not meant for longer distances. Also when putting in the specifications of the truck we were using, since we didn't know the answers to questions asked we get defaulted to the lowest towing ratings. That doesn't make sense.

TIMOTHY HTruck was prepped for me by the front desk agent but I didn’t receive all my equipment. I rented a furniture dolly and it wasn’t placed in the vehicle. I drove an hour away to do my move and couldn’t even do many of the things I needed to because the dolly was missing.

BRITTANY JTrailer was dirty and the wheel strap on the driverside was swelled and got stuck in the ratchet. The wheel strap needs replaced or power washed and trimmed down to fit in and out of the ratchet. Almost thought I needed to cut the strap to get the car off the deck
MICHAEL JU-haul has zero customer service. I provided all my info online so I could "walk right through" the pickup process. What a joke. They didn't have most of the info I provided so I basically went through the entire process again at the store. Then, before I could pullout I, ME, THE RENTER, had to circle the van taking pics of any dents or scratches so that I could prove they were not made by me. The van was so dirty I couldn't tell if there were scratches, dents or anything else. Total BS. Then, through the U-haul app(which I had downloaded) I was supposed to supply a pic of the license plate. Of course I had trouble with the app..."it happens all the time" is what I was told, so they said to take the pic on my phone and make sure it has a time stamp so they know I'm returning the same van I left with. Does any of this sound crazy to anyone else? I did more to pickup the van than the lady inside the store and the attendant who brought the van up. I walked in and out of the store many times to ask questions and try to do all the stuff they asked for. Do yourself a fav and borrow a friends truck. I'll never rent from U-haul again.

JOHN TThe advertising of only $20 for the truck is misleading, as the mileage adds up a lot of additional cost. I did not think that driving the truck only around 100 miles would lead to an almost $200 bill - this is quite pricy for such a short distance.
SPENCER YI had rented a trailer from Monaca, and I called to extend the trailer. I spoke with Nathan and had suggested that Chippewa had a special for a month free and $44.00 and I could cancel any time. Well, I decided to take the opportunity to the storage unit online and they did charge me $47.00 for the storage unit. I had called the next day to cancel, and Kelly said that she would refund me. However, she did not refund me at that time. I received a text and an email stating that my card was decline and I would be charged with late fee. I texted Kelly back that I had cancel. Then I check my email and saw that I had message, and I called her to let her know I canceled, and she realized that she did not refund me or cancel my storage unit. I believe there is a lot of miscommunications throughout the company. I could not submit the review because I could not answer questions of the storage facility because I cancel before I could use it.

And then we called another drop off center, again we were refused !!! Onto the next drop off spot. This place was happy to take the trailer !! So how about this idea: When drop offs are supposed to be at a certain area how about actually making them take stuff mention ?

Michael T | First ImpressionsI reserved a 10x10 unit online. The instructions when arriving could definitely be a little more clear. But besides that fact. When I arrived I found I was given 2 5x10 units not one 10x10. I saw a worker in the hall I asked about my situation they said they consider it the same because it's the same square footage. Which I understand. But I had several large awkward items that required a 10x10. She told me to go to the office. I go to the office and explain that I need a 10x10 and the woman behind the desk couldn't have had more attitude. She explained that my units were side by side I said that wasn't even the case they were around the corner from one another and she began arguing what unit numbers I was given. I then showed her on my phone that she was incorrect but she still insisted she was right even though I went to the units and found my tags. It turns out a 10x10 was readily avaliable so why I I not just given what I reserved in the first place? Not only that but when checking out it makes no mention that you may be substituted with two 5x10 units instead of one 10x10 and it doesn't ask if that is acceptable. That needs to be corrected. And the employees need a little more training in customer service. If I wasn't in a pinch I would absolutely left and stored my belongings elsewhere.

We were moving out belongings in our unit. We came across a problem with a large antique hutch that was my mothers ( her mothers) and we couldn't get it on the UHaul. Devin was quick to assist us and he helped us find a smaller closer storage unit closer to the garage. I wanted to make mention of Devins thoughtfulness and ability to listen to our concerns and find a resolution without any further complications that evening. I couldn't thank him enough for his assistance. A few days later we got the right equipment to get that piece of furniture out and he was the one that checked us out. I was so glad to see him as I was able to thank him one more time. As our countrys work ethic has changed so much over the past few years its extremely frustrating when people won't help you when needed. You have a good employee with Devin! We had no issues while we were renting there and more than likely would of returned if needed..but we will definitely return now! The employees seem puzzled by this especially the person that rented it out to me. They did find me similar storage on the opposite end of the facility, which wouldn't have been an issue except I had already unloaded half the moving truck. That made for a long haul since we did not want to repack the moving truck to simply get to the other side. In the end, I was able to get my belongings in a suitable storage unit. So despite the inconvenience the experience was satisfactory.

It would shut off after about 10 seconds. I learned to just ignore it. It also seems odd that there is a sign in the lobby area that prohibits leaving trash, but the It was always full of old furniture, mattresses, etc. Inside, Maverick was very friendly and helpful each time I went into the office no matter how busy he was.

For people who have never rented a u-haul truck or a storage facility, it can be confusing until someone shows you how everything works. The 10’ truck I rented was in terrible condition. The engine slips & I just got on the highway & had to get off an exit bc of low tire pressure. The windshield was filthy too. The staff that works there isn’t helpful & speaks in an irritating tone! I was disappointed in the size of the smallest unit that I have because it said it was big enough to store one room worth of stuff in, maybe if you were storing a bathrooms worth of stuff, but we managed to store the few things I needed to. Otherwise, it was very clean, and the staff was very helpful.
