Probably not! The transmission was slipping and the brakes were horrible! We didn’t think we were going to make it to our destination! We wanted to drop off some items to the Goodwill but didn’t want to chance it! I put down an additional $160.00 wasn’t told it would take 3 to 5 bussiness days for the credit card refund. When I called about the issues with the truck , I was told I’ll let someone know!

Did NOT have what I reserved. #1 substitute the back would not open. #2 substitute seat did not go forward so I couldn’t reach the pedals. Charged me $54 dollars for going 5 miles. I paid an estimated cost of over 10.00 when I initially rented. Now you have charged me 161.00 for a 5 mile local rental and you are still holding on to 98.00 that I cannot get back for 5 days putting me negative. This is absolutely unacceptable. I am going to make sure that my neighbors and my family of friends DO NOT do business with UHaul. I will go to Craig’s List or Facebook Marketplace from now on.

We pulled up to the location and the sign says stay in your vehicle and a representative will come to you. After 17 mins no one came out. I went inside waited at least 5 mins before the 1st representative (African-American that was helping a customer) told her coworker (white female that looked me in my face and moved her laptop as if she was busy) there was a line. The coworker still did not acknowledge me then finally asked if she could help me. I stated I wanted to return a trailer. She finally got up to come outside. The 1st representative stated she didn't see me out there which there are boxes that may have blocking her view but the coworker sits up higher and should have had clear view of the return area and she did not have a customer. When we got outside I asked her what took so long to acknowledge me she said she was on a call (she did not have a phone to her ear nor was she speaking) I told her she looked me in my face she stated she did not see me. After we dropped the trailer she went in and printed my receipt. If I have to return another unit I will drive 5 to 10 miles before I have to deal with her again

The ladies working there are very professional and polite. However, when I came to pick up a trailer on December 12th, a male employee told me to move my truck and then he disappeared without asking if I needed help. I went in to confirm my reservation and the lady behind the counter tried to reach the guy to hitch my trailer up. 20 to 30 minutes passed before he finally showed up. He said he was on his lunch break which I find hard to believe because it was only an hour from closing time. When he approached me, I could immediately smell marijuana on him. I don't do drugs, but I've been around enough kids and young adults to know what marijuana smells like. Then when I said something about having to wait a long time, this male employee became very belligerent and tried to insinuate that it was my fault for not telling him I needed a trailer earlier. I seriously doubt that this employee can pass a drug test and I'm surprised that U-Haul has someone like him working there and representing the company. There was only one young black male employee on the clock on December 12th around 5pm and I challenge U-Haul to give him a drug test. THC (the chemical in marijuana) stays in a person's system for 21 days. If he's tested and is still there when I make another reservation, then obviously it's ok to use drugs and be disrespectful to customers while working for U-Haul.

The uhaul is not safe to drive. The passenger mirror is very lose and keeps moving making it very difficult to change lane. I almost got into two accident from not able to see other cars coming. The driver side mirro will not adjust. It's stuck and won't move to make any adjustments. Broke my finger nail trying to adjust it. It's not fair to have a truck that's not safe for someone to drive. I would asked what is the resolution for this very dangerous issue.

I could have lost my life. The break failed and all the system lights and sounds came on. I had to constantly pump break from distant to start slowing down vehicle, at one point it stopped in the middle of the rd on a stop light. Very traumatic experience.

The staff members are pleasant and the front office/restroom was clean. My particular storage units were located on the back side of the office in what looked like a dungeon when I first moved in. Unfortunately, I moved in last summer during a traumatic time and I was in a rush. My 10x10 unit was in a dark corner with no lights, the door and space was so narrow that it was difficult to move my sofa and bedroom furniture into the unit. The unit was always dark and the hallway smelled like mothballs and dead rats. I knew that this storage facility was not climate controlled but I did not expect my things to be ruined by a leaking sprinkler system that would rust and mold my furniture in both units. I had never seen so much rat poop and urine in my life. I have photos of rust on my things, rust stains are impossible to remove! I was so grossed out by the rat droppings that I had a hard time capturing those photos. I really felt sick to my stomach while my family helped to move my things out of storage this past weekend. I hope they close that side of the building until it is remodeled. No one should have to endure what I experienced when moving out of a storage unit!

My issue was isolated, there was a leak in my unit that did a substantial amount of damage to my personal belongings, aside from that , the workers that came to fix the leak damaged my things even more- even going so far as to leave dirty handprints on some of my furniture (I’m assuming from moving it to fix the leak)

To Whom It May Concern: Everything was fine for the most part. The manager and staff communicated with me when my unit was approaching the auction date. Even after I paid before the auction date, my lock was cut and replaced. It was a headache trying to get my key to work on a new lock. They finally let me know it was a new lock. Why? I paid my late dues and extra unexplained fees. My rent was for $75 and all of a sudden went up to $95. I came in one time and a customer was in front of me. They could not complete their transaction because it required a manager. The clerk was stressed out, as well as the customer and myself waiting. The excuse was, "thr manager had to take her kids to school". I found that unacceptable when trying to manage a business. She gave the clerk what was needed over the phone to complete the process. Overall, no one was rude and they were professional most of the time (95%). I did not like being put on hold and then being transferred to the national line when my issue was with that local location. Then I was told I needed to drive an hour to make a payment in person or to speak with the manager. Otherwise, the experience was typical and expected. The calls after being a day late was annoying after having this unit for almost 4 years. Thanks

If possible, have each facility take a photo of the return key area. I spent longer than I wanted to trying to find the key return at the Avondale location: the picture in the site pictured an orange box while the actual facility had a slit in a garage door. Was very confusing.

My only complaint is that I had to get rid of alot of items from my unit because, despite it being locked at all times when I wasn’t present, I came back to a muddy unit. All my belongings had mud all over them, which I don’t understand because it’s a contained space. Other than that I have no issues. Staff was good, especially the manager Wynn. Two days before I had reserved a storage unit at another Uhaul storage facility; when I got there they told me my unit had been given away and it was first come first serve. I then made a reservation at this location and I called to ensure when I arrived the next day my unit would be available. Wynn, the GM was very understanding and assured me my unit would not be given away. When I arrived her staff was more than accommodating. They provided excellent customer service.

I did four trips trying to clean it out and I came back to get the trash they already threw it away and charged me an extra$45 for it as if I didn't just lose items to mold in their unit. They were very insensitive and one young lady was talking about being petty about having to throw away items we came back to get. I wish it was a little more professional and they were a little bit more understanding of my situation.

I highly recommend this Uhaul location - we rented two different trucks, a storage unit, and dollies. The staff were nice and competent, the facilities were clean and working, and owner, Wynn, was incredibly helpful, even taking her own time to help us after hours. We had lost our gate card access and she came to help us and was available by phone whenever we needed help. The gate code for getting into the storage is a problem. My Fob doesn’t work. I couldn’t at the beginning use the card or the code given to me. Went back yesterday to store some things and the Fob didn’t work. I managed to get in.
