Doorspring would not maintain the door to stay open, but would come down regardless of position. Representative scheduled service for Tuesday morning at 9am following the Memorial Day weekend.

Workers were great and very helpful and friendly. Only issue is the storage unit I was put in the door is not super wide. There was only one entry point and I had to enter my code every time I walked through the sliding door when using the regular door it was jammed so was not very convenient.

The gas tank was empty not sure if I would make it to the gas station. They use to drive the truck up to the front of the store now you have to walk to find the vehicle on your own. Truck needed mechanical work done . The motor would go into what seem to be a different gear when you can to a stop

I had a reservation but I cancelled it. Then my plans changed and asked if he still had a hauler he told me no ( when I got mine later there were 5 otherimes there that havent moved in awhile. So that was a lie.) When I got there they were super busy so I gave them the time they needed. I put a reservation in a couple hours before.when I got the car hauler it was covered in snow and they acted like it was my job to take care of. I asked if I could swap it out for one of the other 5 that was clean he said "We are already closed you have to make do." When I asked for a rack the dig provide me one then walked away. When I asked for salt ( the transport had 6 inch of snow on it and at least an inch of ice. Which is very unsafe.) he told me now they their boss was too cheap for ice. When he walked away I went and asked the other guy and he told me he would be out in a minute. He came out with some cans of deicer and a shovel. He did help me clean the unit off. While the other guy just gave me a dirty look like I was wrong for asking for help cleaning the trailer and making it safe. Took us about 20 minutes. To clear it off and I was on my way. Driving for 10 minutes I had a blow out and it took roadside assistance over two and a half hours to bring another wheel. It was about 8 at that point dark and cold. I say there for that time with my engine running so I wouldnt freeze as it was 18 degrees out. This burned more that a quarter take of gas. Once the tire people came they were extremely apologetic as they were dispatched over two hours away. Everything took so long I didn't have time to get that care I needed anymore so I dropped the unit off. I called uhaul and they spoke with the manager and she did give me a refund. This cost me time and money for nothing. I am buying upset a company is ran this way.

I am moving in from out of state. I had a 10x15 unit reserved. I get to the location only to find out that I don’t have a unit. I now have a 2 separate units that are not next to each other… I was told that making reservations doesn’t guarantee a unit by the location manager. The staff was not rude but the comment and nonchalant response to my unit being unavailable was unacceptable.

Let me start by saying the manager Tennille and the young girl employee were very accommodating and understanding when problems arise. Great customer service from them! The problems occurred because two of the male workers that I encountered seemed to really not care about helping with anything like it was a burden. I couldn't understand why they still remained employed after blatantly ignoring calls ( I saw it with my own eyes after never being able to reach anyone) and I was even pushed to the side while one employee decided he wanted to help someone who came in to the office after I stood there waiting for over 30 minutes. And he had no remorse when I said I was here first, he still made me wait. After being there for almost a year I could no longer justify keeping a storage somewhere that I was being ignored and treated less than.

This Uhaul and storage facility is the BEST ONE I've been to. I had a storage unit for 2 years and never ever had a problem with my unit or staff. They're always friendly and a tentative whenever I arrived or called. Its always clean and the bathroom is very clean.

I went in to rent a unit for a month while I move and the only staff member to acknowledge me was a young woman, Layla. And she barely acknowledged me. Every interaction with her was with minimal communication on her part. Everything seemed like such a chore for her to have to do her job. Plenty of eye rolls, sighs, and complaints muttered under her breath about potential customers after phone calls. After getting the unit rented - paperwork signed, the unit paid for, entry cards made, etc - she told me they didn't have that type of unit available. They oversold it and all that's available is the same unit but climate controlled. I had declined that due to cost because I don't need it. At this point I said I'd accept it if the extra fee was comped. She contacted her manager Tenille who said no. So I asked for a refund. Layla worked to do the refund but then ran into issues printing my receipt. Again contacted her manager about emailing it. For an hour. Finally she contacted another manager for help and as she was on the phone with him tried the other computer. Shocker it printed immediately. As I was walking out she mentioned the second manager said they could comp the extra fee on the climate controlled unit. I declined as my card had already been run and refunded but my money is tied up with U-Haul for up to 5 business days. If it had been approved and offered an hour previously I would have accepted and had a glowing review. As it is this was a very frustrating experience. I don't believe Layla should have a customer facing position. And tennille should maybe do some training on customer retention. I will not be back to this facility; I will be pursuing my rental needs elsewhere and advising friends and family to do the same.

The facility was owned, managed, & staffed by women. I had a storage unit via my job for almost 2.5yrs. It was ALWAYS clean, well lit, even the bathroom was always clean. I had deliveries to my unit. I was always text or emailed when they arrived. It takes women to run these places right. I will be se this facility again, should I need to.

The reason I’m actually coming back to this facility as I was there for five years straight as a pharmaceutical rep storing my samples there is because of the wonderful and outstanding customer service. The manager there is amazing. They go above and beyond they treat their customers with the utmost professionalism and so helpful. The on-line elements are fine, but when contacting U-Haul, I found the personnel minimally helpful. Since I would not be present myself at the move-in, the case didn't fit the normal conditions and one person told me "see on-line." Later, another said, "We can't do that [i.e. secure the locker for a couple of days prior to move-in]" until I demanded it. Then she spoke with the supervisor who agreed to put a "red lock" on the unit until move-in day. Problem solved. If the employee had been better trained, it wouldn't have occurred.

When I reserved my unit online it said the unit was for a 1-2 bedroom home up to 1200 soft. I even called and talked to a young lady in the office that confirmed the details of the unit. The actual unit size was the size of a closet. I requested for the manager to call me and I never received a call. I screenshot the false advertisement for proof. It made the moving process 1000 times More difficult. I don’t recommend reserving anything online, or calling to confirm details. You need to just go in and see the unit.

I had extreme difficulties getting in touch with customer service to get assistance with issue after issue. It's hard to call directly into this location. The first issue was my uncleaned storage unit on move in day. I had to ask for a broom and clean it myself. I also had to ask for a new animal bate box because the one in my unit was apparently not replaced due to all of the cob webs and hugh white spiders that ran from it when I tapped it with the broom. Second issue, I would recommend Uhaul not sponsoring 'Moving Helpers' on your website. I paid over $300 hiring moving helpers for my storage move who never showed up. I then hired a second moving company from Uhaul's website and again, no show. I traveled from Florida to make this move happen in order to get my things loaded in the uboxes from the storage unit and spent over $1200 for this 1 day move and these moving helpers didn't even have curteousy to call to decline or reject the job through Uhaul's portal to give me an opportunity to look for help elsewhere. Needless to say, I went back to Florida without my things. Which leads me to my last issue. On the day of my arrival at Uhaul for my move out of the storage unit and into 3 unboxes for my out-of-state move, 2 out of my uboxes had no furniture covers that were to come with the uboxes. The third ubox had damaged hardware on the box that made it impossible for me to put a lock on it due to the hardware being bent and hanging on by 1 screw. It was a terrible experience! Had my moving help shown up, I couldn't have completed my move because I didn't have access to a third ubox that I paid for due to the broken hardware. This entire experience was a big negative for me. I don't think I'd recommend this location due to the poor attention paid to the ubox when delivering it and the nastiness of the storage unit that had all of those nasty white spiders and old bait animal box, but the unit was tagged saying something along the lines of cleaned and ready for customer. However, I must say that the employees who work here were extremely helpful and respectful, at least the ones I had direct contact and I know some of these issues were beyond their control, such as the third party moving helpers. My suggestion to new customers is don't use the third party helpers on Uhaul's website because if something goes wrong, Uhaul will be quick to dismiss your concerns and complaints telling you that they have nothing to do with the moving helpers and to contact them. Lastly, I did try to contact Uhaul to resolve this issue before leaving feedback. My issues were not resolved to my satisfaction mainly because I couldn't get customer service for both Uhaul and Movinghelp.com on the line after spending hours and hours on separate days trying to get help regarding my many issues.

Each time promised a free months rent when we got a storage unit and every time I got charged for it and was almost late on the payment. It seems like a scam to get you to pay more for the late fee. There’s really only one nice person in the office and the others come across rude.

First let me say that, in this survey that I'm completing, Uhaul has my move in date WRONG. I hope I'm not being billed for the 5th when I moved in on the 8th. Lastly, my customer service experience with all of the employees working at the Clinton Township location and even the employees at your Roseville location were very knowledgeable and so helpful. The staff at Clinton Township made sure I understood the services being offered and were very patient when I had questions. The only reason for a 4-star and not a 5-star is because on move in day, my storage unit was tagged as available for move in (as if it were throughly cleaned and ready to go). My storage unit was NOT cleaned. It was evident when all of the white spiders ran from the pest control bate box that showed evidence that it was very old, covered in dust & spider webs and the unit itself was dusty and has spider webs. I had to call to the front office for someone to bring me a broom. Beth was prompt in coming over to assist. I opted to clean/sweep myself and Beth drove back to the office to get me a freshly made insect/pest box. She apologized for my unit not being properly cleaned and I was thankful for that. Other than these couple of issues, my overall experience I'd say is an A+

They quote you price for storage. Then they tell you you have to get your own lock. You buy theirs for 3x the price. You lose key,& are charged 50$ to remove lock, for 10 min work. Worst business ever

Liked the storage area however did not care for some of the staff. Also I have rented trailers several times in the past year and rented a storage unit.

Was able to rent my 15ft uhaul from this location when the previous location no longer had a truck available and uhaul didn't call me. Even got a storage while there. Will go back to this location.
