SONYA OI called and left a complaint with customer service because of my experience and being charged incorrectly for my reservation. It has been over 48 hours and I have not received a resolution.
RAYMOND MWas told that we could not use our own trailer behind a 10’ box truck. Had to rent a U-Haul car hauler for the additional costs. Speaking with a manager at another location, was told that they rent trucks only with people using their own trailers regularly. Wound up spending considerably more money when it was unnecessary.
Michael MThe staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hours of operation are convenient. The storage room on the 2nd floor only have stairwell access and have open/fenced tops so all personal belongings get extremely dirty from the environment. Also the “climate control” is simply an exhaust fan. Would not use again for storage but will use again for moving supplies or vehicle/equipment rental.

THOMAS MU-Haul's computer system was down, but Tristan didn't even come outside to look at the truck when I asked him to. He simply said "I'll get to it. You're good to go". Not OK with me.
THOMAS MThe guy doing check ins and outs was rude and did not want to be there..tried to force me to take a trailer I did not want or reserved..there was a Spanish speaking man in front of me and your customer service agent was rude to him also..you need new employees that want to do this work. That young man was angry and bothered by helping me..very rude..

BILLY BMy only suggestion is to have one extra staff member available when you are picking up a trailer. Because the guy had to go show some people a storage unit, but overall, this was an excellent experience. They hooked up the trailer and disconnected it. I didn’t have to touch a thing.

Timothy KPlate lights did not work I was pulled over. Brakes lights would go in and out. I did express that in the other U-Haul I received and I believe the reps name at the store in Clovis NM his name was Tristan. I asked for a different trailer after asking a few questions about the payment he made it seem like I was bothering him. Very unpleased.
LILIANE GI have always used this location, the staff was always very nice and helpful. This time the experience was horrible, they usually take me to inspect the vehicle, this time the young man was lazy, did nothing, didn’t advise of all of the physical damages. I asked for my military discount, that I have always been given and was told they never have given a Military Discount, when I returned the vehicle, I was charged for two days of Hand Dolly use, and when I told the same rude young man, I didn’t use it, I used my own, he basically called me a lier. That the seal was broken. The seal looked the same as it did when I picked the truck up. As I said at the beginning, there wasn’t an equipment inspection, I assumed the Seal was intact, I took pictures, but some of them didn’t come out and save. I need another U-Haul, however, I will see if I can find another location or another company, I don’t want to use this location again, unfortunately, I will probably have no other options. Since 2009, this has always been my choice location
TRISTAN DHad trouble finding an employee when we arrived. Had to go to another building to get him & when we did he didn’t even make eye contact. Just told us to leave it over there & pointed. We appreciated his trust & all, but weren’t used to not getting an ok after a visual inspection. All ended well but it was weird. They seemed to be short staffed & I know that’s a problem all over. He was not offensive or rude or anything, just overly busy. Kind of felt bad for him. All came out well when we received our return receipt through email & saw no other charges, as we returned the trailer with no damage
Donald HHonor reservations. I was downsized to a smaller trailer after being told there was a double booking for the one I requested. The Clovis location is clean and professional but it's absolutely unprofessional to mess up that bad.

ANTHONY BI had a great check in and pickup experience. The attendant was helpful and got me hooked up and on my way. I was trying to hurry to get the trailer back before the office closed. I showed up 5 minutes after it closed. But there were employees still there. I knocked on the door and the employee greeted me through the glass. I told him I needed to return a trailer he said just leave it and they would get it in the morning. I told him I didn't know how to unhook it, he said it was easy and they were closed. He then proceeded to leave. I had a hard time lifting the trailer off my trailer hitch. There was not a lift on the trailer. I am a 55 year old women. And your employee couldn't take 5 minutes to help me. Very poor customer service.

ANITA R | Overall ExperienceThe advertised dimensions for my unit were 6'x8'x8'. The actual size was 5x7x7. The difference is 122 cubic feet. The clerk shrugged and said, "the description in the computer is 6x8." When I invited him to come measure it with me he reluctantly agreed to give me a larger unit at the same price. However, he couldn't figure out how to do it in the computer and said we'd figure it out at the end of my free month. Somehow, I doubt it. After moving into my home I decided the 5x7x7 unit would be large enough for my storage, and easier to move than argue with them about the rate. When I asked to switch to the smaller unit they wanted to charge me insurance again for a whole month, even though I'd used the unit for less than two weeks. They said, "nothing transfers from the previous unit." Forget it. I crammed everything into my garage. I'll do everything I can to not give U-Haul any more of my money. Their customer service is pathetic.

When I asked for the storage prices snd said “hmm?” thinking of the sizes he rudely said “your welcome to go we elsewhere if you need to”. I was just thinking for a moment. He got irritated with me asking questions. Thankfully the next two guys were VERY helpful and considerate.
