The experience I had since 2018, started with Tyrone, it was great. I've had over 8units with U-haul O.N.Maxine was helpful and knowledgeable. Then Quincy, I watched him rise to become a great Manager. His knowledge extended to my aid when I started waiting on Disability March2023,and fell on hardship for 2024. Now Carnisha, she has been amazing. Thank you for your patience and understanding. You all are the best. Customer service is over the top. The storage unit assigned to me hadn't been cleaned before my assignment. I arrived at the unit with my belongings and wasn't prepared to sweep it out before occupying it, so I had to place my things in a dirty unit. The office had closed, so I had no other options. I felt that no effort had been made to clean the unit because I was receiving my first month free, which was part of a promotional with a one-way truck rental. The lighting surrounding the unit could have been better, and because of the low lighting, visibility inside the unit was poor. The lock provided secured the unit adequately. However, I remained suspicious as to how so much pollen was able to get on my things in a secure unit. I didn't answer the first question because the question asked about the security and lighting of the unit in the same question. As previously expressed, the lighting could have been better, so the part about the storage facility being well lit, my answer is "No", but it was secure. Although the staff were friendly and helpful on the phone and in person, they neglected to handle my paperwork properly for the unit after I'd previously informed them of my exit date and again on the date of my exit. Even after a phone call and an email communication, I was still called a few days later by a staff member asking if I was still using the unit because my exit hadn't been updated in their records! This was very upsetting and created a desire to NEVER use U-haul services again!

Granted I moved two years ago, UHaul played a very important role in the process. When I resided in Georgia, I had to move twice. And in each situation, U-Haul was the go-to solution. The second time was a cross country move, so that woul not have beeen possible without U-Haul.

The rental experience went smoothly, and the young man who helped me was friendly. Unfortunately, the trailer was not clean; it contained tools, leaves, dirt, and other debris. I also received incorrect information about the store's closing time and arrived to find it closed. It was dark outside, and I felt uneasy waiting in the parking lot. After calling the store and being transferred to customer service, the representative tried to reach the location but received no response. She expressed her apologies and suggested that I leave the trailer there. I had to unhook the trailer by myself in an area known for its high crime rate.

The customer service at this location needs work. There are a lot of kids working that are not very helpful or knowledgeable . In accurate information was given . Reservation assistance was not good at all. i also was over charged on gas and not funded for bringing a truck back a whole day early

I was charged twice. I received a extra charge to my account 3 days after my return in which was inspected. I paid the extra milage fee already & I received a charge from u haul for no reason days later in which caused an overdraft to my account. I need to be compensated for the charge plus the overdraft fee that I incurred immediately

This was my first experience to have to use a storage facility. And from my very first day, until my very last day, the Staff was Exceptional! They held my hand throughout the process and made each encounter a pleasant experience! I would Highly Recommend this facility to my friends and family in the future!

Definitely would recommend this location for all of your U-Haul needs. The staff and service were awesome. Very professional and courteous. Truck was clean. Check-Out and Return were both Five Stars⭐️. This place really is amazing. I would recommend it if renting a U-Haul around the South Fulton area. Simply the best.

The truck did however pull to the right when driving also it would speed up when you push on the gas. I was in the fast lane and people were blowing and going around me. So I had to get out of the fast lane. But the staff was nice friendly and professional I like this new crew.

Resubmitting complaint 2/21/2025 To whom it may concern: I submitted the complaint below in August of 2024 and as of today, 2/21/2025 I have not had any response. I am resubmitting in the hope of some response. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Geda R. Henry 8.31.2024 Uhaul Experience Also sent 9.9.2024 through chat with Gilbert On 8/15/2024 I rented a 10ft Uhaul truck and tow dolly. I have the email confirmation. On 8/31/2024 my daughter dropped me off at 801 LEE ST SW, ATLANTA, GA 30310. I arrived at 9:30am. This was my location to pick up my 10-ft truck and my tow dolly. The location had these items on the lot, but no one was available to help me. The location looked deserted. It had many automobiles and U-Haul vehicles all over the lot. There was a man there working on his car. He said he did not work at the company on the lot, and that he didn't think anyone would be in to help me with Uhaul today. I called Uhaul and after a transfer I spoke with Karen. Karen said she was located in Atlanta. She said her supervisor's name was Tim. She told me no one was going to be available to help me at 801 LEE ST SW, ATLANTA, GA 30310, and that I would not be able to pick up anything at that location. I asked her how something like this could happen due to the fact that I had reserved it well in advance. She said she did not have an answer for me. I was very quiet as I was trying to process what was going to happen. I told her that I felt like I was a little bit in shock. I'd had this reservation for quite a while and was planning to pack and leave that day and drive from Atlanta to St Peters, Missouri. While on the phone with Karen, I texted my daughter to tell her what was happening and asked her to come back and get me. Karen put me on hold. When she came back on, she told me there was no location in Atlanta that had both the 10-foot truck and the tow dolly available. She said that I would have to drive to the first location, 5400 OLD NATIONAL HWY, COLLEGE PARK, GA 30349 at 11:30 AM, to get the truck and then to the second location, 2866 FORREST HILLS DR SW, ATLANTA, GA 30315 at 12:00 PM. to get the tow dolly. As you can see by the text messages I received (attached below), and from speaking with Karen (who was confirming the rentals) that my pick up time had now gone from 9:30AM to 11:30AM and 12PM, adding 2.5 hours to my travel plan. I honestly don't remember if Karen apologized for my inconvenience. She was able to locate what I needed at two different locations. I did ask her if I was going to be compensated in anyway for my troubles and inconvenience. She said she could take off $100.00 from my total. I do not remember her being sympathetic or empathetic to the horrible situation that I had been placed in. That would be my only complaint in speaking with Karen. In all other aspects she was professional and helpful. I received the new confirmation email: This was 10:12 Atlanta time and 9:12 St. Peters time. While at 5400 OLD NATIONAL HWY, COLLEGE PARK, GA 30349 the young lady helping me also helped with with changing my drop off point from St. Peters, MO, to Columbia, Missouri. When I went to check out the tow dolly at 2866 FORREST HILLS DR SW, ATLANTA, GA 30315, she told me she could see the drop off location for the truck, but could not schedule it for the tow dolly. She told me the tow dolly would have to be listed as drop off location “customer unsure”.She told me I would have to call Uhaul to schedule the drop off for the tow dolly and get confirmation to drop at the same location as the truck. As time was continuing to pass, and I was exhausted and frustrated, I agreed to call to confirm a drop off location for the tow dolly. By the time I picked up the truck and the tow dolly, filled up the truck with gas, and returned to the apartment to begin packing the truck it was 1:15PM, now 3 hours past my planned time. ( I subtracted travel time from the Uhaul location to the apartment location, and time to fill up with gas) The employees at both locations were professional and helpful. At 5:15AM the tire pressure light went on. I pulled off at the next exit. Looked at the tires and could see that the driver's side back tire was low. I pulled to an air pump. Paid $2.75 to use the air. Tried to fill the tire, but it would not hold air. I called roadside assistance (Thank goodness I had purchased it through Uhaul). 60 minute wait. Tow Bros Towing Service arrived on time. The service man was as nice as could be. He told me the old tire had a split in the tread and could not be repaired. He replaced the entire tire. Around 7:15-7:30AM we started on the road again. Around 8:05AM, the tire pressure light started blinking again. I pulled off at the next exit. Looked at the tires and could see that the passenger side front tire was low. I called roadside assistance, 8:13AM. I had to send my GPS location and upload photos of the tire to a link Uhaul sent me. Reference number 3073515. Estimated 45 minute wait. I called Roadside assistance at 9:04AM to check on the driver. I was told MLV Roadside services was 7 minutes away. He arrived within the 7 minutes. The service man was as nice as could be. He told me the old tire could not be repaired. He replaced the entire tire. I told him about the other flat tire and asked if he would please check the other two. He said he had already checked the passenger side back tire. He then checked the driver’s side front tire and it had good pressure. About 10:30AM we continued with our trip with no further vehicle breakdown issues.Our total travel time had now been delayed by 7.5 to 8 hours. Around noon, a woman from Uhaul called me to say that she did not see a drop off location for the tow dolly. I told her about what I had been told. She set the drop off location to be the same as the truck. She confirmed that both the truck and tow dolly could be dropped at 800 Bus Loop 70W Columbia, MO. I thanked her…and thanked her for the phone call. I told her how much I appreciated her calling and taking care of this for me, as I had had so much difficulty on this trip. I can provide copies of all text correspondence. I did not receive the $100.00 discount Karen said she would apply. I writing to see what compensation I can get after this stressful experience: The delay in pickup, change of pickup location three times (original order, 8/29 change and finally ending in two pickup locations on 8/31 when no one was available at the 2nd location. The two flat tires and 5 hours of delay. I’m not sure how a Uhaul truck could be rented with two tires in such poor condition. Both tires were unable to be repaired and had to be replaced. The first serviceman said there was a split in the tire tread. I did not ask the second service man, but he did tell me the tire would not hold pressure. I am asking that I be compensated for half of my total rental charges, not including the insurance and/or roadside assistance charges. By far my worst experience since using U-Haul! The gave me a truck that had 4 miles to the E upon pickup them once I picked up they added all kinds of fees which I never paid before it was always a straight forward price for a one way !

Vehicle would not stop beeping as the computer did not recognize that the seatbelt was locked was told that I would receive some form of discount or rebate, and the attitude of the manager at the location was that he was not going to Afford me any consideration, even after calling the call center and was told that they made notation in the system, and that some form of consideration would be given, and it was not

The rodent problem has gotten out of control when I first got the unit I liked it but the upkeep of the unit has gone down people I feel have been living in the storage unit facility rats got out of control in my storage unit rat poop was everywhere even a dead baby possum they ate up on my dresser and it's just nasty in the place and rat poop all over their own storage facility and they do not do a good job of keeping the place clean

A) Prices are competitive however, id like to believe storage facilities could offer better rates, B) several times my auto-pay did not go thru as a result of the storage facility, as result i was charged late fees. C) wifi connection is extremly horrible, and phone service inside the facility office is the worse.(D) Sometimes long lines with only one or two workers present. Otherwise, I give them B+ the Staff are courteous, professional and friendly, the facility is well lit, clean and secure, mainly because of the location id recommended them.

I was late for my unit however I did not want to loose it. I called and spoke to Quincy before auction about giving me another week. I had important paperwork inside. Tax information, pictures of my kids, report cards I have had for years. I have always paid in the past. My health prevented me from supplementing my income so I was late. Quincy stated he would have the buyer call about my pictures and one never did. I know this is a business but I always paid even if it was late. This is heartbreaking and I try not to erase it from my memory. This saddens me. I even called the morning of the auction trying to make arrangements to stop it from happening...JESUSSSSS!

Access was always tough because they close so early and anytime you arrive close to closing a guy would always be standing at the entrance saying to hurry up because they are closing and he needs to lock up. Other U-Haul locations that o have use usually offer 24 hour access for an additional fee. This location did not offer this service

The gentleman with the locs was extremely helpful and pleasant the day before, the day I came to drop off the truck it was met with a gentleman who was very rude and didn’t want to listen or be helpful at all when I advised him I received permission to drop my things to that particular location, I feel it could’ve been handled as simple as I did, by that rep getting customer service on the line right away and confirming what I knew, the truck was to be dropped there free of charge I had already confirmed it all the night before. If it wasn’t for me knowing what to do, this man would’ve had me drive the uhaul off the lot and left me to figure it out. Customer friendly approach was lacking, willingness to be of assistance was lacking, understanding when people move they’re already tired and stressed, ease of access and service makes the day that much lighter.

I had maintained my storage account with U Haul through difficult times over several years. On 8/08/22 my unit was scheduled to be auctioned off. I called before the auction started and asked if I could make a payment arrangement to prevent the sale. I was told bluntly by the woman who answered the phone that they don't make payment arrangements. Two days later I got an email saying that my unit had been auctioned off for $10. For U Haul to not make a payment arrangement with a long term customer but did accept a $10 bid for that customer's unit is in my opinion is seriously poor management judgement. If the storage was truly sold for $10 as I was told, any payment arrangement would certainly have yielded more than $10.

The only complaint that I had with the facility was that it seemed difficult to access. I needed to swipe my U-Haul card at one location and then walk across the platform and swipe another location and thne walk in front of the sensor before I could get into the storage facility. If you do not do this on a constant or frequent basis it is possible to forget the steps, and I often got frustrated. This proved to be the height of tergiversation., otherwise I had a great experience.

Staff is very rude and nasty especially the manager Tyrone and his girlfriend and son working at the counter. They talk to everyone this way even if your an employee. I will never get anything from this facility not even a box. I am so glad to get my stuff out! Tyrone also refused to waive any of my fees because his girlfriend does not like me because I stand up to her. Even though I do know policy he put notes on my storage account and so did she his girlfriend to never ever waive a fee and I never had a fee waived not one. The negative energy and nasty comments with an attitude is not good business and but Tyrone as been allowed to hire is family and allow them to carry on this way I’m sure you have plenty of complaints the store needs a new manager and staff because the customer care is horrible!

6. Would you recommend this U-Haul storage facility to a friend? No, not this particular one. Your female staff was very rude. In particular, a female that worked the Saturday morning shift on January 8th, 2022. I was late to picking up my rental truck - as most people are. I know I 'm not the first. This particular woman actually called to ask if I was still coming for the rental. I told her I was; as I was trying to explain my lateness, she hung up on me. She didn't care - which is not professional customer service U-Haul prides itself on. The woman never stated: "if I don't come at XYZ time, you will lose your rental". But apparently, because I did not come when she thought I should have arrived, she (staff) canceled my reservation. I came maybe 30 mins -45 mins after her call. I thought with her calling to ask if I still wanted the rental (which I was grateful for) was an understanding that I was still coming. But if U-Haul is just looking to make money and not have satisfied customer service, I should not have been surprised. Disgruntled staff that don't like their job shouldn't take it out on customers. People expect better when you service people in your community. Let's see what happens with this review. I'll wait. Harlen

I took out insurance for the unit, unfortunately it had a hole in the top which ruined all my towels, sheets, several pairs of shoes, a coat and several pairs of pants and blouses. I told this to one of the employees as I was getting my stuff from the unit. I took pictures and a video as I was moving my stuff out. I was later told by one of the employees that they had to take the pictures not me and therefore I couldn't put in a claim. I will NEVER use U-Haul storage again, nor will I recommend it ( especially this location) to anyone.

The storage unit was fine however some of the staff should not be in the front taking care of guest if they do not know how to treat nor talk to people. One sales person on particular told not only me but another guests “she’ll just cancel our reservation”, I’ve never known that to be the first resort anywhere especially when you’re spending money on storage units, trucks, and items in the store. Due to her attitude I canceled my unit as well as my truck and took my business elsewhere.

I made reservations at 12 for a truck and storage and was lead around until 9 to get a move in ready unit then got there at 5:30 am to have to wait another 3 hours to move in and then find gas due to the gas shortage and then to be charged another $15 for being late returning the truck back, I’ve used them for years and was very disappointed in my service

I’m very upset with the service I received from the old national location. Even with the COVID situation they didn’t try to help with assistance with some of us who was infected by COVID. I was constantly harass even after I told them the truth and even tried to pay reduced payment to hold my storage. I think any place off of old national is run by ghetto ignorant people. Not just just black. They all meet up on old national highway to be belligerent nasty people.
