PETER SI was over charged for mileage, I have to vehicle for about 4 hours, return it and drop the key in drop box ,I as seeing i have it for 23 hours, note to vehicle i rented before this one i use both to do about the same amount of mileage.

DAVID EThe associate that was working which was Sat.5/17/2025 must have woken on the wrong side of the bed. I walked up to counter said to him in a jokingly manner are you having fun yet because he was only one working and he was running around. He never said 1 word to me except asking me for ID and when I left, I said thank you see you in a little bit and I never got a reply. During the whole transaction he was super focused and did not want to be bothered and it definitely showed. If having a bad morning, then don't bring it to work with you and push it onto other customers. Or call in and be miserable by yourself

LAYLA G | Overall ExperienceMade a reservation at another location. Arrived and was told they didn’t have the size truck available. Did not receive any notification that the rental wasn’t available . I would need to go to another location and transferred reservation to new location. Picked up rental and box of truck was clean but cab was very dirty, windows were not clean, and truck smelled. Driving the truck it seemed to have a wheel balance issue or bent wheel as truck hopped driving down the road and check engine light turned on. Upon returning rental was yelled at the return associate that the return lanes was not 2 lanes but was clearly painted on blacktop of 2 lanes. I confirmed and showed the associate that there is 2 clearly marked lanes in the blacktop. Then was told that she wasn’t really comfortable driving the truck in tight areas such as the return area.

ALEX KManager was rude. They did not know thei the equipment they were renting. I asked if the trailer had a motorcycle chock, they said no and I could rent one from them for a one way rental. When I agreed to take it anyway, I got to the unit and it had the motorcycle chock and clearly stated it was for motorcycle use. A lot of drama over them not knowing their job. I also was told there would be an extra charge for an extra day. That was not listed on your website and the insurance was $10 more than listed on your website. It was supposed to be already paid but my booking got screwed up when you changed pickup locations.

MICHAEL AOnly 1 person working. 2nd employee didn’t show up. I was number 4 in a line 12. Finally got my truck and the inside was filled with mud and leaves. It was obviously used by a landscaper and not cleaned out. I cleaned the truck then laid down multiple blankets so our furniture wasn’t dirty. The woman behind the counter was wonderful. No one blamed her. Lots of pressure from angry customers. Will not return. The people being paid to help me move had to sit around for an hour.

CHRISTINE PThe lady that was working was very very nice but took 45 minutes to get a trailer I reserved. She was all by herself now I think that’s a little ridiculous, but she did her job. She needs more help on a Sunday morning. The line was out the door

NICHOLAS WEverything was super easy and good to go. For some reason it was incredibly difficult to remove key from ignition, not sure if it were user error or if there any additional issues.

MANLIO CFirst of all I want to thank Allie for walking me through the process of getting the truck before I rented it. The truck was fine to drive. The process when you actually do it is very difficult especially in our icy cold weather.

LINDEN TThe location and the whole process was very smooth and easy! I used the online reservation system and the phone app. I think advertising $29.95 for a small 10' box truck is misleading. Although I was only driving about 20 miles total for a 2 hour rental, the total cost with $15 insurance was $57. If I'm renting for any length of time and driving substantial miles, I'm definitely going to find an umlimited miles option with another company. Charging the mileage and having the customer fill the tank is like charging double.
Richard LI returned the vehicle with the same amount of gas as picked up but was then charged $25 for fuel claiming 5 gallons short. Rreached out with photo and was pretty much blown off. Not remotely pleased.

I had to have a refund and i was charged for a vehicle and miliage that 13 miles from my house 4 times back and forth to your facility i was charged. Extremely disappointed and still charged $108 for the vehicle. Next time stop advertising one thing and the next day its another story. They never had told me anything.

Although i like to recognize the branch manager Nicholas Diotte but to remind him that not only due covid19 but and blue code weather condition in NYS eviction are prohibited. Yes, landlords taking advantage after federal rental aid was distributed and still evict tenants but unfortunately i do not meet that category because never have been late and statement that they don't want me see at that location classify as discrimination and insult my sensitive personality, and action as blockage of my formerly rented unit what prevented to enter unit #1317 till yesterday, 2/19/2022, is classified as retaliation. Yes, i can't file small court claim while i was "tenant" but now i have green light for that including local PD twisting my both wrists. Otherwise, i am pleased as much not please apparently the others. Have a wonderful president day celebration and make sure rental equipment will be clean for the farther renters because that location has 2 new employees who do not much and these are women what would be unacceptable to see toilet filthy and flooring too.😁😁😁 Good night for now, dear location 2043-45 Central Avenue, Colonie, NY 12205. I am glad that credit administration in Phoenix, AZ received my payment in full for the equipment and my financial advisor confirmed that too as well as Michael Kimmer??? Quite didn't comprehend last name.😍😍😍

Kelly F | First ImpressionsThere were a few things I didn't like. When you call your local Uhaul office number, no one ever answers. You have to drive to the place to talk to someone there. The gate remote I was given was broken and no longer opened the gate. To access my unit after the office closed was not an option because I now needed a code. I eventually got a code and was able to access my unit at my convenience. Whenever I was in the store to rent a truck etc. the staff was always nice and friendly. My only other issue was online payment. For some reason my balance did not show up until the day it was due and after. I paid my first payment late because of that. The store manager was nice enough to waive the late fees and help me. Aside from not wanting to pay $130/month for my unit anymore, my stay was nice enough. I felt my things were safe and secure.

They told me that online access codes are almost always incorrect and need to be revised on site. That's unacceptable, hence the below average rating.

When I had trouble with the gate code, I unfortunately called and was transferred to a central operator who said she'd message the local office. THat didn't happen, fortunately I called local number again. THere are no instructions to use gate access and the call button is gone.

I had to call the office and was diverted to corporate office who assured me they would contact local office. DIdn't happen. Fortunately I called the local office again and they provided a key code that was valid. The red help button on the key pad doesn't work. Why wasn't I warned that same day access wouldn''t work? Staff was helpful....but process was more stressful than expected
