This review has nothing to do with the location … the people at both locations were great especially coram location (I believe the name or the person was Erick). Superb hard worker IT IS UHAUL I HAVE A PROBLEM with. I was supposed to spend 100$ on this rental and I ended up spending 260$ and I am not happy. I booked my reservation in the morning for a box truck and a trailer. I went to the location which was 1 Mile away desk my house. I was told the location didn’t have the trailer, she called Uhaul and was told that the truck and the trailer is available at another location which was 25 miles away from my location. I had to say yes as I made plans that couldn’t be changed. I started driving to that location … I was almost there as I got a notification on my phone that the truck and the trailer will be at another location located in coram which was another 25 miles away. I pulled over and called Uhaul as at that point I didn’t know who had the truck and the trailer. At the end I ended up going to 3rd location to get my rentals. At the end of the when it was time to return the truck I had to drive 30 miles more to coram pay extra for that too. Overall it was supposed to be a 30 mile and rental fees. Nope. I ended up driving over 100 miles. I am a frequent user of uhaul and I am not happy. The people at the locations were great …. Your reservation service needs work. How can I trust Uhaul again to make plans ??????

The trailer was picked up Saturday. There was only one worker at the location. It made for a long wait to get the trailer. It wasn’t the workers fault. He was working very hard but due to the fact that he was the only one it made for the long wait. There should have been another employee. The worker ( I think his name was Eric) was extremely helpful and patient even though I feel the location could have used a second person. If not for that I would have given it five stars. The worker deserved 5 stars.

Forgive me, I didn’t get his name!!! He was working the counter Saturday, 11/23/24 at 9:00am, please find out his name. He deserves some recognition. He was very busy running around getting things done, I didn’t want to stop him and ask for his name. There was a line of people, but he still kept his cool. He was always smiling and very polite to every customer in there. He instructed a few people to use the app to check in. I tried to as well, but I was doing something wrong and it wasn't working for me. I was very impressed by him!!! There were two VERY NEEDY customer in front of me, you know the type (and if you don’t know, you never worked in direct customer service, lol).. Let me tell you, this employees level of patience was off the charts. Still so polite to them and explaining things to them every step of the way, sonetimes having to re-explain things multiple times. One of those customers was a know-it-all trying to trying to tell your employee how it was done, but your employee took it on the chin and very nicely explained to the customer how things are really done the proper way. Overall I had an amazing experience at this location. Dropping off when I was done (after a very busy day of moving heavy boxes around) was quick and simple. I’ll be renting another truck next week to move these boxes back, I’ll definitely be going back to this location. Seriously, I can’t thank you enough for making a very busy and stressful day for me that much better!!!

I was billed for an entire month that I will not be using my unit. The manager refused to understand my situation. I will not be making it my lies goal discourage all of my friends and family to never use Uhaul again. During my free time I will find places to post Poor reviews and see to it that that 250 dollars that was stolen from me cost Uhaul over 200,000 dollars. Was a loyal customer for years and over a dispute of a DAY I have now seen the light and they are just another big corporation trying to squeeze the hard working american out of money.

My experience with U-Haul in Coram was great. Had zero problems from beginning to end. Employees were terrific. Also rented a truck from this location, again everything went great. When I returned the truck the gentleman provided me with a much appreciated cold drink, that was very unexpected. Left my phone in the truck and when I came looking for it the gentleman had it ready and waiting for me. Would definitely use this facility again.

I do understand that this is a business and they have to make money as well. But they charge you a late fee 2 days after your bill is due. Times are hard and if someone has to wait 3 days for payday in order to pay the unit I feel like that should be taken into consideration. Normally you get at least 7 days before a late charge is submitted. Eric the manager is rude the way he speaks to you is disrespectful. Tom is always willing to help and very nice.

The outside of the facility was clean but I had a drive up unit and all of my items were covered in dust. There were huge water bugs and spiders and cob webs everywhere. My bins were covered in dirt and dust. I would only recommend an inside unit.

I first called the Coram location to inquire about a storage unit and had the pleasure of speaking with Arron, the location manager. We spoke briefly over the phone and I figured it would be easier to go down and speak to him in person since I work riguht up the road and had a lot of questions. From start to finish, Arron was so friendly and helpful. We discussed my upcoming move and what would be best for me and my current situation, and I left there feeling confident that my personal belongings were in good care. Thank you, Arron! Moving can be stressful and you made this part easy and painless. Would 10/10 recommend anyone looking to rent a Uhaul vehicle or storage unit!

I was told i was gonna get a 15x9 then it was rented out and i had to pay for 2 9x9 and was given “first month free” even though i was already going to rent a truck and the promotion was first month free. Womp.

It eventually was taken care of after I called U-Haul but the fact that it was left opened and I was charged a extra month made the difference of a 5 star rating and a 4 star rating. By far the most unprofessional experience I’ve had with a business to date because of the poor customer service your employee Eric Austin & Scott have provided. Eric Austin threatened and challenged me plenty of times to a fight in which I would not of been scared one bit of this little guy but I was in the process of moving furniture into storage with my family. This guy was acting as if we were on the street and even told me let’s walk down the block off camera and handle it. I am 33 yrs old with 2 children & I can’t believe I had to deal with this poor customer service from your company. Had I not been with my nephew and family things probably would’ve went a different route to teach him a lesson but I’m glad I kept cool and got my storage and got out of there. The topping on the cake as I was moving all of my storage into unit another customer comes around the corner in the biggest box truck you have and tried to cut the corner to short and smashed and swiped the whole front of my uhaul truck that was totally off with no key in it in park. This was the worst experience I’ve had recently with a business and most of it was due to poor customer service, one of the main things that draws attention to your company you guys shouldn’t be pushing customers away based on your staffs attitude. I know Aaron personally from past business and he would’ve never gave me this type of customer service. I’m very sorry that you guys have to deal with these type of comments but I’m sure it isn’t the first based off of his short temper and attitude.

The UHAUL representative was very helpful! The unit was cleaned when he walked me to it (not his fault) and when he couldn't find another clean unit, he cleaned it himself. The unit did smell like hay but I know that was no fault of him so although that was the case, the representative was so helpful hence the above average rating.

The online check in process seemed easy but I arrived to the unit after closing. It took a while to figure out how to get into the building as I was trying to access the slide doors when Afterhours the manual entry door is the only point of access. It would have been nice to know that. Also, once I got in there was a locked padlock on my door so I couldn’t get into the unit anyway. That was very poor. When I tried explaining that to the rep the next morning he wasn’t understanding what I was saying even though there is no clearer way to say there was a locked padlock on my storage unit and I couldn’t get in. That was very disconcerting but he was helpful and once he understood what was going on he unlocked it.

I know in business: payroll is your only controllable expense , trying to figure out your busy times could be a challenge! I’m saying that , there are some days when the facility is short staffed and the wait in the office is a little long. Still my overall experience was great. Those times when you were short staffed, the employee that was there was doing a good job.

If you book a truck in advance it doesnt mean anything because up to the last minute they change your order It was a great inconvenience and a supervisor never called me back when i requested. Been a client for many years there was water damage in unit that I was never notified of so I lost a few things , thanks , when I closed out I asked if there was a partial refund for the month and was told I was already out of the system and the person who closed me out said they didn’t know . I called the main number waited on hold for 20 minutes , was told to call another number which I did , and was told to call the manager of the Coram location I was in , the manager was not in , no callback , no response .

These guys were top-notch, hands down. Aaron helped me out in the morning after the app screwed up my reservation (corporate needs to look into that, cmon guys). You could tell Aaron knew the place inside and out. He was super nice, quick and got me in and out with the truck I needed and had an awesome attitude the whole time. Then the gentleman at night of whom I worked with to get a larger storage space and turn my truck in could not have been more pleasant or helpful. I wish folks I dealt with at my workplace were this good at what they did. I'll use the Coram office anytime I move my stuff in the future, and will recommend to friends and family. The reason for my move out was I was tired of my items getting wet. This occurred 3 times in 2 units. Now some stuff is ruined and the rest smells. Didnt get much satisfaction or sympathy from staff.
