If it wasn't for the local U-Haul dealer I would have had a very bad experience with U-Haul the customer service person that made the reservations has made multiple mistakes that could have been disastrous for my event but again thank you to the staff at the local place where I rented the trailer

I was waiting for a customer to finish his sale.He was dealing ken. The customer was getting irate especially when asked for the 2 phone numbers to verify a rental. He said to ken these are the only phone numbers he has if he needs to be would make them up. Than customer started yelling at me I'm in his space which I wasn't . he started verbally threatening me and abusing me. Pointing his finger in my face . I told him to go and relax and chill out. Another customer said the same thing to him. He never should have gotten a rental or even left with one of your vehicles. Ken should have called the situation down.

More help for your associates...a very patient young man was being verbally abused by an irate customer/woman. He maintained his integrity and I made sure to tell him I was impressed. Upon returning, I also informed another Uhaul associate of this young man's stellar professionalism.

Had a reservation for 9:30am and still waited on line for a half hour. The woman in front of me had no reservation and the woman in front of her had a 10am reservation and they still went ahead of me. Apparently a reservation means nothing and I didn’t get out of there til 10:15. The guy told me I could’ve shown up sooner if I wanted to be first. I shouldn’t have to when I have a reservation! That’s what a reservation is for! I only had until 2:30 to move and this really put additional undue stress on my day. Also, as soon as I pulled out, someone at the next light said there was a headlight out on the truck so it clearly wasn’t checked. I will likely never use U-Haul again. The girl there when I dropped off was a sweetheart and my dropoff went smoothly though.



The truck was clean but very old and had what seems to be transmission trouble. UHaul wouldn’t compensate me on the extra miles I had to drive to pick up and drop off a truck that was way out of my area! I was not happy with them about that decision not to deduct the mileage off of my bill. UHaul has definitely gone way down hill over the years.

Clean the equipment before renting it out. Also, work on customer relations. When a customer arrives to your location and no one is around for the first 5 minutes or so, and then an employee shows up but doesn't even talk to the customer until she feels like it, it makes a very bad first impression.

The check in was not user friendly. I had to provide three phone numbers and allow them to call one of the numbers to confirm. My wife had to be instructed to turn on her phone to accept the call. My home and cell numbers were not sufficient, even though I had rented from U Haul many times in the recent past. I view this policy as a nconsiderste of your loyal customers. The staff was polite and respectful And appeared as frustrated by the policy as I was.

Wish I had noted the name of the associate who helped me. She was excellent; helped me decide on the best solution for me, explained everything very clearly, had my equipment ready quickly. Same person was present when I returned truck and trailer and I was done in less than 5 minutes. I will use UHaul again in the future!
