Trailer wasn't checked in from the night before. Had to wait for them to check it in before i could rent it even though i had a sceduled appointment and called twice to make sure it was ready. Other than that everything is ok and people are friendly.

The first place I went to wouldn’t let me take the trailer I had rented because I did not have the adaptor for the break lights…completely my fault and they were on top of all safety concerns. But they found me a van at another UHaul center just a few miles away. The van was ready, clean and they were very helpful.

Regarding cleanliness, the Truck I rented for the time appeared to have its Cup Holder tray littered with dust. The Brake Release was also noticeably loosened from its holder. And one of the Driver Side’s Sun Visor’s clip is not fastened to the visor itself.

The facity in Danbury that we got the storage is the best Uhaul I delt with. We have used the three times and they were always amazing. Not as simple and accessible for the one in New Milford. The phone support team Uhaul has is the best around. Thank you

The staff member who checked me out was exceptionally helpful, friendly and reponsive to me and another customer present. The only inconvenience I experienced in my 24 years of storing in your facility was having to go back and forth to the office with a non functioning electronic key. Not having direct access to the office from inside also was problemetic.

I'm bitter. I cleaned out my unit 20 days before next payment due No payback. You upped charges twice on me. I began at $132.00 and ended $175.00 over 4 years. Glad to have this monkey gone.

I became homeless August 2023 by coming to Danbury, CT. After unsuccessful attempts to secure employment and residence, my nightmare with this facility began. One night I fell asleep inside the storage, I was awaken by the assistant manager, Lisa, she said nothing to me, but not even an hour later, she was in the lobby talking about walking in and finding a customer asleep in an unit to an unknown customer, she seen me at the door, when the customer asked her what did she do, and I asked well what did you do, she went into can I help the next customer mode, I went to that facility because I heard that the manager Jose from Stamford was there. Months later of not securing employment/home, the constant phone calls came in, then they began to be threatening, we're gonna have to auction off your storage, or if I called in the other employees would be in front of customers, discussing my bill and saying my name, fast forward, I finally got a charity to assist with payment, they were $300 and 2 months short, because they'd agreed to the payment in February and paid $950, and when I came to empty my storage, the manager Gary gave me a smirk, and rolled his eyes, not even an I'm happy we didn't have to remove your property and you were able to keep, not offering any assistance to help, never greeted me when I walked in, I've been in rude and worst places and received better service! I pray to GOD I'm never in this situation nor this company again! Very unprofessional, I know 30+ year old managers with way more respect.

The only improvements I would say for that location is the card reader doesn't always read your card to swipe standing there trying to swipe in and out. Need a better way The rent increases were too much multiple times a year!

Very happy with the storage unit/facility. This location makes it convenient to move in/out. I moved away for 2 years and never had to worry about my stuff being open to the elements or infested with mice. My stuff was exactly how I left it, maybe a tad dustier but that’s to be expected. Rented a storage space the access card wasn’t working hours after getting stranded outside until someone from store opened access . Luckily I was there a minute before store closed, why would access be denied if it was a new reservation. Fix your system and have someone available 24 hours or later than 8 pm . Not fair for customers to have to return next day because your access system or your employees didn’t register my access card correctly

I think on the weeks you should have more staff during your busy time. There was to two people in the morning when all your people were picking up when trucks. Did have to wait about 40 minutes to taken care off.

I have been a customer since 2018 and this UHaul is a great facility and the staff has always been super helpful over the years. The only hangup I persisently encountered were the key card scanners. Since day 1, it often took 10 or more swipes to get them to read the card.

We worked with Chelsea, at the U-Haul Storage facility, 75 Division Street, Danbury, CT. She was extremely busy training a new worker but still found the time to be extremely patient, courteous, and helpful with customers. She was also helping a second customer move a very large heavy crate, while cheerfully helping us unload our truck. She is one reason why I will continue to patronize U-Haul.

This place is a dump, and from the interactions with managers that we had, it's easy to see why. Don't be enticed by the one month of free storage like we were. Store your stuff someplace else. The major issue we had was that part of the ceiling to our unit collapsed, covering everything in sheetrock dust. The person they contracted to repair it fell through the ceiling into our unit, injured himself, and had to climb back out by standing on our couch. Poor guy! We weren't notified of any of this — just arrived to find a huge mess and damaged property. The manager at the time, Denny, was defensive, standoffish and basically refused to do much to help us. Everything went through U-Haul's insurance company, RepWest (which, blessedly, was professional and efficient. Denny eventually was replaced, and the new manager, Chelsea (same last name as Denny), was more willing to work with us to come to a solution. Still, it doesn't feel like the left hand is talking to the right at this place. I sent messages about the situation to U-Haul corporate and never heard anything back. You have to scan a keycard twice to unlock the outside door, but the access panel was always more finicky than a NYC subway gate, and sometime in the last couple months it was broken, so management had to come let you in (assuming they were there.) There's this vaunted security system, but on multiple occasions we arrived to find that someone had propped the outside door open with a cinderblock. I really appreciate the convenience of U-Haul's truck and trailer rental, but if you have a choice, store your stuff someplace else.

When I moved my staff and I had to do check out the gentlemen at check out had an ANGRY ATTITUDE toward me or toward the fact the I was not going to rent the storage unit any longer. It was bad costumer service experience at the end.

Currently I am rating the INITIAL intake and sign-on experience. Lisa who helped me was beyond informative, helpful, and kind. I have yet to actually use this facitlity but it did look clean and environmentally beneficial to store things in. I will let you know on that once I have utilized it. Thank you!

I'm so grateful for the way Tony at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Danbury helped everything go so smoothly yesterday when we unloaded two trailers (one after a cross-country drive!) and moved into a storage unit at the facility here in Connecticut. Tony was polite, efficient, fair, and good at his job, but more than that, I was struck by his warmth — talking to him, you know he wants to help you. What I'd anticipated would be a stress-filled day of tight connections and challenging logistics turned into a joy. From little things like recommending the best products for protecting our mattress and sofas to helping to quickly resolve a billing question, Tony really was the cherry on top of a two-week cross-country moving odyssey. My wife and I felt so taken care of, to the point that we were sad to say goodbye to Tony when our storage unit move-in and trailer returns were complete. I really can't thank him enough for the way he conducts business. Tony is a credit to the U-Haul organization, and deserving of every accolade it can muster.

Hi, Facility generally in very good condition. Where there is opportunity here is with the staff. One female staffer runs the show and is clearly a leader. If they could get more support like her the wait times would not be as long as they normally are. . PS move out day was 8/11 for the record. Thanks!

I have no disputes. However I told the person at the desk to whom I handed over the keys that though I wanted NOTHING back the room I was vacating, it contained several boxes of brand new and expensive books, video cassettes, CDCs, sheets of stamps for collectors, unused new greeting cards for all occasions, unopened packages of stationery etc etc and it broke my heart that all this would be thrown into garbage. I pleaded that the boxes be opened and checked and these materials be salvaged NOT FOR RETURN TO ME but either to be kept by an employee for personal use or for sale or for donation to library or goodwill stores. I was promised that not only would this be done but that any bank statements that may be there would be shredded and that any family photographs that may be found would be returned to me or I would be called to pick them up. The lady even asked me for my phone number and wrote it down. She promised that I would be informed. My only regret is that I have not heard a word from your office in this matter. So, NO DISPUTES, ONLY REGRETS, I feel that someone who had the storage for years deserved this courtesy. Except for this, I found the staff friendly and helpful and the facility the best that one can have.

Minor issue: I usually had to find staff to get the sliding glass door unlocked during normal open hours. The main door has a large threshold that makes it difficult to move a heavy or fully loaded cart into the facility without risk of damage from items falling off. This can get pretty frustrating when you need to move a large volume of items in a hurry. It'd be less of an issue if the threshold of the main door is fixed to allow carts to easily roll in. Otherwise, it's a great facility and I'd be happy to rent a space again if I return to the Danbury area.
