I had to drive extra miles to the location as the nearest place was denied. the site was closed, so I had to use the self directed deposit. i WOULD HAVE LIKE A MESSAGE ON EMAIL OR TEXT TO SAY IT WAS COMPLETED CORRECTLY. The drop off location was changed several times, and this one was definitly hard to locate, but was clean and felt safe in the dark, for the drop-off.

The van door opening size listed on the UHaul website right under a photo of the exact vehicle I rented is 6" larger than the actual opening size. Due to this, I could not use it for its intended purpose, and I was stuck with a days rental charge and lost time.

I picked up the van early in the morning. The self-pickup was very frustrating - took almost an hour. First, the app reported an internal error after scanning my driver's license. I had to log out and then start over and log in. Twice. Then the lock box #1 was above my head, with poor lighting, and a password of Tley that did not match the letters on the combination lock, it should have said the combination was TLEY. When I have picked up a van during office hours service has been fine.

Garbage customer service from every franchise in the lower mainland including Surrey, Delta, and Port Coq dispatch. Kamloops uhaul tried to help but both your truck and trailer were broken…no lights on trailer,…. And truck electrical wouldn’t work to activate any trailer lights. Please call. This experience needs to be shared.

I have used I haul many times before but this time vehicle had many issues: 1) It’s paddle break is not in working condition 2) Light in back cabin was not working 3) It has much voice 4) Indicator of Stabilitrak is showing every time This time I had pathetic experience and I will never recommend my friend to go from such location or ideally take service from some other vendors not from I haul. Sorry this time I lost faith in u haul and services after wasting my CAD 170 dollars.

The team at the pickup location were friendly and professional. The van was moderately dirty, and the inside of the windshield was terrible. My check in using the uhaul app at the original pickup location (Tsawwassen) was a nightmare. So poor, that the customer service agent directed me to another location in Delta for pickup that was 20 KM out of my way, costing me over an hour. The uhaul app and website did not work for my pickup and that was very unpleasant and frustrating. The phone customer service was pleasant, but unable to solve the pickup issue other than referring me to the other location. The team at Nordel Ct were efficient and pleasant.

It was ok. The clerk was really nice and the equipment was great but we were left standing in the cold for 1 hour and 15 mins. They made a mistake on our billing I decided to call in the middle of the move to get their money back. Overall, not very professional.

The trailer was full of holes. I used it to move my personal belongings across the province and many of the things were wet and frozen because it was -15. I'm honestly surprised the trailer didn't fall apart and leave a trail of pieces and my belongings across the province. And for the price I probably could have bought a trailer and then sold it. Never using Uhual again

There was no lightbulb in my unit, which was okay because usually the light from the hallway was enough, but there was an occasion when I came to get something out of the Inuit and the light was out in the hallway as well as. I needed to use the flashlight app on my phone to see anything in there!

I received a message couple of days before pickup date that couple of dollys and packing pads were not available at the pickup location. Very disappointed at the beginning and more frustrated when I found my truck was not arrived yet and had to wait almost two hours. Truck was very unstable and trembled a lot while driving from Burnaby to Calgary in more than 14 hours even it was around 10~11 hours driving distance. Truck could not speed uphill(less than 40km/h) and shaked downhill or high speed. It seemed not maintained at all. They rent truck to new customer right after previous customer return it. I was almost dead and experienced worst truck in my life. I will never recommend renting truck from this place.

.......Upon releasing the vehicle to the customer I think if the employee were to accompany the customer in person to the location the vehicle/equipment is located.........as opposed to just pointing out to where the vehicle is on the lot might be nice, also any previous damage sustained by the previous customer could be noted by the employee at that time. Just a thought. Besides that I found the people to be pleasant and welcoming to deal with. I always go to this location when I need to rent a vehicle as it's close to my residence.

There was no light bulb in the unit. Renting the first storage unit was a nightmare. Went into the office to rent a storage unit, and was told there was not one. Left and looked online and there was a unit available. Called to inquire about it and was told it's available and to book online. Also asked staff about the free month storage....was told to call. And since I'm at it, my entire experience with U-Haul as a whole has been terrible.

I went into the office and inquired about a unit. I was told there was only an RV spot. I drove 10 mins away, checked online and there were 2. Called and was told to book it online. This is absolutely the best uhaul location, I've ever been too. Fantastic location and service. Customer was Fantastic. The lady was Fantastic. I have rented many times. From many locations. I am a hearing impaired individual. She was lovely and took the time I needed. I Felt extremely confident in this location. Wonderful place. Very nice units. I previously booked an out door unit in Kamloops I was treated so rudely and poorly right away. I was shaking so badly when trying to write down information, he was soooo Ruid. Just the cost. $160 per month just seemed a little excessive for a 5x9 unit. That's really my only "complaint" And not really much of a complaint as an observation. Not a single time was I ever concerned about the safety of my belongings and that sense of security may well have been worth the cost. Thank you for just about a year's worth of storage.

Overall the people were great to deal with. But when someone is allowed to fill your vehicle with garbage without anyone knowing or seeing, I wouldn't say it was secure. But the manager was nice enough to let me use their garbage can to get rid of it so that was nice and very helpful. The rest of the complex is spotless. Just the vehicle area in back seems to get forgotten about but still gets charged the same amount regardless.

I have been served very well by U-Haul at this location for many many years. Only complaint I have is that there were continuing to be little mouse droppings inside the shed, and I understand how difficult it is to keep those little creatures in check… Otherwise everything was excellent.

I rented a 26 foot one way rental to Vancouver Island from Delta and was made aware verbally and by printed advertising about a free month rent on storage. I was moving from Richmond to South Surrey. I chose to except the FREE MONTH rent on the storage through the U-Haul app which is being encouraged by your company.The free month rent was authorized by the App .I was not contacted by the Delta location or notified by the App of any change to this offer. I rented another truck from Richmond U-Haul and arrived at the locker to be told they decided not to honor this.This would not have been my chosen location to store my belongings as it is a distance away from my home. The manager of the location has admitted that a mistake was made by not notifying me of the cancellation of the FREE month rent but has refused my email request to cancel the charge. I feel that this is false advertising and the fact that it was accepted and authorized by the App I am entitled to a refund.It has cost me more than if I had rented a locker closer to my home.

The manager at this location was really helpful accommodating our needs providing us with a bigger storage unit that we were so grateful for. Just the light inside the storage unit was inoperative making it a bit difficult to see specially at night but not a big deal. I hope it get fixed soon so the next customer won’t have any troubles. Other than that, a 5 star experience with a customer satisfaction orientated staff. Highly recommended!

The security gates are open more than they are shut, and this isn’t a recent development, it’s happened for the entire time I had this storage unit. Everything I’m about to mention has happened on Uhaul property, *inside* the gates where things *should* be secure. I’ve met people wandering on the property who were clearly under the influence of some illicit substance and clearly not customers there. Many times I’ve seen drug paraphernalia (needles, pipes, butane cans etc.) dumped on the property. I stored a travel trailer there and the propane tanks were stolen. When I mentioned this to the employees, they shrugged and said Uhaul had no liability and that storing my trailer there was the same as storing it in a field. To all this I ask, “What was I paying for?” Gates that aren’t secure, property stolen, dangerous people and drug materials on the property? If I could have, I would have moved much sooner.

I was advised by uhaul headquarters that I was eligible for a free month of storage utilize at my convenience within a year from June 2022. I received it in writing via an email and when I went to use it I was denied by your location despite having the email indicating so. Your location charged me in a very vulnerable situation and there was zero empathy or compassion from your agents. I have been using uhaul for over 25 years in different locations and the past 3 interactions have been an absolute deterrent to using uhaul ever again. The right thing to do was to honor the email from uhaul. Also your agents forced me to buy a round lock where that is not proper policy. As long as I had my own lock it shouldn't have mattered. The response from this location was it was for my own protection of the contents of the init which is not your decision and does not align with the policies of uhaul. And finally the sign on the outside of the store indicated 84.95 for a 5x5 and I was charged more because they did not take down the sign. That is false advertising. Overall I am very disappointed by the service of your uhaul location and staff.

If there is a waitlist system for the storage unit would be great. The online storage availability isn’t accurate. The reserve system isn’t a guarantee, it makes more sense if the reservation could hold certain period, otherwise it would be forfeited.

My only issue is around the ordering process I went online to order a room at cost of 179 monthly and when I got to the facility I was told it was bought by someone else and online which seemed frustrating to me. the only room available was the one for 199 monthly. . When I was online it did not tell me that I could lose my spot to someone else or that it was even an option for me to lock my spot so I’m not sure how that happened.

I am satisfied with the storage ,the only cone with the outside storages is moisture and with coming rain season that serious problem for some stored articles. Convenient location close to 91 connector and HWY 17 .They have also inside storages with climate control but too small for myself .You can store there RV ,boat ,car. Moving trucks for hire on side, a definitely an asset ,with all the packing supply including locks makes such a hassle as moving ,a great experience .Thank You!

The initial ‘terms’ I signed up for in the beginning- changed drastically over the years. The power to the locker was shut down in the evening. So no lights at night inside the unit. I had to pay for extended access, as the site hours were cut down. It was hard to access the locker often as there were so many Uhaul trucks blocking the access to the unit aisles. The power plugs outside were locked and there started to be a charge for that. I only very rarely needed to test an item and that was made difficult after hours. The rental costs increased at least every six months, and always an excuse that there were site improvements- none that I noticed. The drain over my unit leaked and dripped down in my door area. I had issues with my credit card due to hacking etc and the bank said regular charges would go through. But obviously not set up that way. So recently a charge didn’t go through and the office knew it on that day and could have sent a courtesy email, but NO courtesy with Uhaul, instead wait until the 4 th day so that they could bill the extra $15.00. Then also seemed to start billing on the 28th, not the due date of the 29th. On sign out day, I asked the office girl to attend the locker to confirm it was clean and empty- several times, and she refused. She was rude and did not even thank me for my over 10 years of business. One of the workers was letting their friend park in one of the aisles one day. Of course right in front of my door. Hard to get the guy to move and the worker seeing the problem didn’t even step up and ask him to move. I’m sure I can come up with more items. You asked for feedback- also I have given feedback in the past and it was met with deaf ears at the ‘head office’ level. Just forwarded back to the actual site, which was pointless as they were the ones unwilling to listen to any feed. Thanks to Uhaul for the many years of questionable service.

I rented a spot in the gravel parking area. I was amazed at how some, not all, just some of the clients used their space. These clients would maximize their space with multiple items, cars, junk. When the space is clearly for a one vehicle, rv, or boat. In my opinion there is enough demand for your parking space, you don’t need to have clients that use, abuse every square footage or the liability to potentially damage vehicles beside those few abusers.

The service I received at UHaul was very slow and unprofessional. When I rented a truck about a week in advance I also rented a furniture dolly. On the day of pickup I was advised that the facility does not carry furniture dollies and offered a utility dolly instead. I felt frustrated by this as we never received any call to advise us of this and we were reliant on having a furniture dolly. We should not be able to select this on the website if that location does not carry it. As well, an additional padlock was put on my unit despite my lock being the same as those sold at the front desk. When I was preparing to move out the keys provided by the customer service agent were not correct and she had to go remove the lock herself. Overall, the service was far below par. I would actively discourage people from using Uhaul in the future.

I'd reserved a 5'x10' storage unit but could only get a 5'x5' on arrival. I understand the dynamics of the storage market but a heads up text or email would have been helpful. I still need a 5x10. Upgrade to the first available should be automatic. Staff were not able to speak to it. Your staff are very pleasant and customer focused. Management/owner should routinely listen to their ideas and input for improvement. This would make a difference!

I did feel that your yearly increases in cost to client were excessive so I was happy that I decided to sell my trailer and get the storage cost Monkey off my back and that is where I plan to keep it!

Ontario Uhaul in St. Catharines on Vine St. told me it is not possible to get a vehicle with mud/snow tires. We nearly crashed with my truck on trailer behind us due to snow and ice.

My unit was broken into along with several others. Paying for “secure” storage yet its not secure, and took 2 weeks for them to realize we were broken into. They raise thier rates often too.

The cost of the storage room included a light. The pull chain switch broke, reported to the staff, no repair was made. The light is essential and was part of the original service. NOT YOUR BEST !

The first year I moved in the rates went up two more times. I wasn't impressed. When I moved out I was asked to show my lock. I found this odd. Other than that everything ok.
