Attach the trailer to vehicle properly. Hitch was not tightened due to corrosion providing resistance apparently indicating to Uhaul that hitch tightening wheel was properly tightened - but was not even close. Luckily trailer stayed attached during travel but popped off when trailer was loaded.

Overall, I had a good experience. When I went to return the vehicle, the drop off area was full and there was not a good spot to park. Someone was blocking the entrance with a trailer and I had to wait. I hope that I do not get charged any additional fees I parked where I had to because of where the other vehicles were located.

The staff needs to be retrained on how to explain the process to customers, not everyone rents uhauls daily, and be more professional with customers. Your Washington location in Fort Wayne, IN has a very rude woman working there whom called me a racist because I did not know an employees name and described him as "light skinned or mexican with 2 long hair braids" i was also over charged (was told 50$ but turned into 150$) for an hour truck rental and only used 10 miles. I will be launching as many complaints as humanly possible and will never rent from here again and will do my absolute best with deterring others from doing so as well. Kevin in customer service was excellent.

I was charged for a 2nd despite only having the truck for 8.5 hours and completing the return process as instructed DESPITE being explicitly told by your employer that returning that way would keep me from being charged for a 2nd day. When I inquired about the additional charge I was told that I paid the same rate as a full 24 hour rental but because only 8 hours was marked down on the paperwork and it was self returned after your location closed early on Sunday I’m somehow being billed for a full 48 hours despite only having it for 8 and returning it the very same day I rented it.

One guy that worked at the front desk was uninterested in helping us. He had long black hair. He was on the phone the minute we got to the counter and when we saw him outside checking someone in. He couldn’t bother to get off his phone call with his buddy. It took him a few moments of standing awkwardly at the counter for him to pause his conversation and to acknowledge us. Because he was too busy on his phone talking to a buddy of his on speaker phone saying the n word. Didn’t explain anything just handed us the keys and that’s it. Didn’t look up or make eye contact… didn’t go over the packet or miles or what we needed to do or have it back with… he said “your truck is outside” and handed us keys. This was Saturday the 15th of March. We like the location but we don’t like this guy working there. He’s very unprofessional and uninterested in what he was doing. Won’t come back if he is there sadly.

Kyle was great with pickup. Gentleman at drop-off wasn't very helpful. He basically said do it yourself and then continued to talk crap about another customer to a different customer.

My experience with this store was terrible. The truck that was given to me was not cleaned. Kyle (from the store) took me out to the truck and said that he could see it was muddy and would not charge me for that. I looked down while he was there and found a Mountain Dew bottle on the floor, so I did give it to him. When I returned the truck I gave the young man who was scanning the truck in a phone plug that had also been left from previous renter. They did not have the dolly in the truck. One of the workers from our store had to go back and pick it up (it took 30 minutes for her to get it). I am new to the area, but when I need a truck again I will not go to this location. I will not recommend it to anyone.

I don’t think there’s much that can be done. Maybe offer a customer some ice cream and/or a massage because everything else done U-Haul is perfect. I don’t think the process from truck checkout to truck return could be more straightforward and simple as it is already. Perhaps a raise for the staff at this location has been earned or would be a great start. Thank you for making my U-Haul experience most wonderful by the simplicity of the total process !! Was given to me with a quarter tank so I had to immediately take it to a gas station and guess how much fuel I would use. Check engine light was on as well as the airbag light. Brakes sounded like they were about to give out. Over all a very dangerous vehicle was given to me for a long trip that cost me almost $250. I expect much better for that price.

We love this location! Our only issue this time around was with the equipment. It was clean, but the door on our 5 x 8 cargo trailer was very difficult to raise and lower. We've been renting trailers since 2021 and this is the first time we've had an equipment issue. Bu the location.....our favorite in all of the area locations.

The employees were very helpful and supportive. The truck was clean. It had a muffler, but I believe something must have been wrong with it because the truck was extremely loud. Overall the experience was extremely easy to navigate and the staff was great!

Doors to storage units are thin plywood. Which doesn't say "secure" to my soul. I was told it had been swept prior to us moving in, but we obviously have different definitions of swept. The cameras that you can see in the main office are out of focus and blurry.

With in 24 hours of using my debit card at this location I received fraud alerts from my bank that my debit card had been used for unauthorized purchases. The travel staff working this location is in trustworthy.

I have always patronized Uhaul fir moving and storage. However this experience has been the worse. The staff at Washington Blvd, FtWaybe IN talks down to paying customers. Worse I rented larg storage unit and each time I checked in there was evidence of mouse infestation. Swept dead adult mice out of doorway on two occasions and upon moving out found shredded mouse nesting in my clothing, bed linens and upholstered sofa. They ripped apart stored paper towels and books and set up camp in my belongings. Dead baby mouse carcass under sofa cushion and mouse droppings and urine stains. Pics document proof of infestation. I really would like Uhual to take responsibility by footing the bill for professional steam cleaning, disinfecting and sanitization of my furnishing....not to.mention the loss of certain items I just threw into the trash. The smell.of urine and droppings is horribke nowcthat my furniture and belongings are in mew apartment. The deeply affect me as I suffer from severe asthma associated with animal dander and droppings such as cat litter box that is not kept cleaned and cleared of waste. I will.be reaching out to corporate for a resolution. Otherwise; my experience would have been flawless as it has been in past years.

I paid my fee for the month early because I would be out of town when it was due. When I returned from vacation I was sent several emails stating I had not paid my monthly fee and had serious charges for late fees. I had my receipt and the person at UHaul did not print all of my receipts but it had that I had paid early. The lady was rude and told me " next time you will have to pay late fees"! I politely told her that I would not be paying for any mistakes they made in the future and that I would probably be moving my things to another storage place. I have had my unit for many years and has always paid.

Older facility stairs to second floor.

Everything was good with the small exception that there was a dead and desiccated rat under the door of my unit when I went to move out. Everything inside seem to be fine, but it was still unnerving.

The facility as a whole is fine. However I'm taking away one start because stairs are not the thing when storing items. The stairs would normally have been a deal breaker for me.

Communication between stores was frustrating. I reserved a storage unit on the phone with someone, they made the reservation. When I got to my location, the U-Haul location didn’t have my reservation at all. I also was told I could drop off at the location I was going. Because the national system was off, I was asked to drive to a location an hour away, instead of the current location was at. It was pretty frustrating.

Ian and Kevin were super great!!! Both have great customer service every time we’ve encountered. Jeanette was okay at times. Dee(assistant manager) dresses inappropriately-shirt unbuttoned with cleavage showing and has a poor attitude towards customers also with staff. During my rental the overhead door was not operating and left open at all times for months…I didn’t feel safe to enter during times the office was not open.

Jeanette and the man with a beard and glasses made my experience so easy. Jeanette made sure she went over everything with me thoroughly and made sure I understood what was going on. She helped me get checked in and checked out. She was very kind and you can tell she works very hard. The man (I wish I knew his name he was working 5/22/23 with Jeanette) was very helpful as well. He looked at me like a person not just a way to make money. they deserve recognition for the work they do. Thank you.

The only thing I would say is maybe get some more carts let customers know you don't have an elevator to that 2nd floor and maybe I down the heat and there are little cuz it's like death in there but other than that everything was superb great location great staff would recommend to anyone

The space (8x8x6) is kind of small considering the price but despite that everything was great. The storage space is easily accessible and has flexibility of accessing it 24h. I got the first month storage free included in the one way U-Haul truck that I got. It was very convenient at the time I was moving and needed storage immediately.

I would like to give the most props to Jeanette!!! She checked us in with ease and made that step as simple as I think it could be. Fast forward to later in the day. My Son and myself went back to the storage facility to unload the truck and found our unit with a lock on it! Once again Jeanette came to the rescue and found a different unit, opened that one up and there were items already in it! Finally got us an empty and the rest is history! Give Jeanette a raise!!! Bad customer service, predictive staff. Had a problem with another customer, young dude was parked in. handicap space I said some thing about it we went out side , he had a gun an the staff member could only yell in my ear. I had my unit for over two years an never was late on a payment. Glad I'm out of there !

The store had no storage units available (all units had physical locks on them), despite the computer system saying that they did. I was trying to get a storage unit to move into that day and there were a couple other options that were open on Sunday. I'm on a really tight schedule and lost a critical day due to this error. Staff in store was unable to contact their GM to resolve the situation at the time and stated that GM had limited availability the next day to get a resolution. Thus far I've spent over 30 minutes of my work day on Monday on hold in the hopes of getting this resolved. Seems unlikely, hoping for a refund at this point.

I moved out of town approx. 100 mile trip. U Haul helped me to accomplish everything and they were so friendly and explained all the details to me. I purchased from U Haul all my moving supplies needed to pack up my home. They had so much to choose from I did not have to go anywhere else to get one single item. I rented a Truck for a one-way trip that process went much smoother than I thought it would. I was also able to get a dolly and packing cloths to cushion my furniture and glass table tops for a very small fee. Then finally I rented a storage unit in the new city I moved to; it was large enough to hold all my furniture, household items, clothes & boxes. And the 1st month was free of charge!! By now I am exhausted from the move and I originally was supposed to drop off the truck at a different location closer to my new home. However, they allowed me to return it at the U Haul storage location. U Haul made this overwhelming move to a new city smooth, calm and friendly. Mind you I just buried my Mom a few days prior. I received excellent customer service from 3 different locations. With my Mom's death my emotions were on edge not to mention all the work to move to a new city. U Haul is to be commended on how much they helped a single women and I admit I was a emotional mess the entire time. I am so grateful to all the staff and I want U Haul Management to know JOB WELL DONE! A very satisfied customer, Patricia
