The combination lock to get the key was hard to open. Rusted and does not role well. It took me 10 minutes to open. Maybe you get new lock with cover to keep them dry or maybe put a canopy over them to keep dry

The truck they gave me was out of battery. I cannot run the engine. They gave me a replacment, and it worked. I reserved a dozen of blankets and a furniture dolly and a hand cart, however they said they didn't have the dolly. I went back home to carry my old dolly and a hand cart. The truck was equipped with a bag of blankets and a hand cart. I didn't use them and explain everything to the counter, but they charged for the cart. I love to use U Haul trucks, but need to be more transparent when we need to check in.

Align your after hours drop off with the UHaul procedure on the app. I dropped off & was to scan the bar code on the drop box to verify my time & there was no bar code to scan. So I was charged up until the time they opened the next day.

My complaint is that I selected the unit online, received a call confirming my unit prior to move-in, but upon showing up for move-in I was informed the unit was not available and had to select a unit that was roughly $30 more expensive each month.

The manager Jacob was truly amazing he went out of his way to explain things in detail due to myself having a brain Injury. He is the real definition of how a manager takes care of his customers and train his newer employee's. It was fine once we got in but when we arrived with all our belongings, after hours but we'd already rented a unit online, the unit (on the first floor) was locked. No one could help - we had to rent another unit online (this time only available was upstairs) and move our stuff there and then talk to someone the next day to cancel the first unit. No one seemed particularly surprised or apologetic about the experience. So no, it wasn't great and we'll be cautious about renting from Uhaul again.

I got 10 text messages about filling out this survey, 4 of which after I asked the text messages to stop. I even got an 11th text while filling this out. That is insanely annoying and the reason I am giving this a poor rating, no one wants this many texts about a dumb survey.

So far, terrible. We got there and there was a lock on the unit. We'd registered in advance and paid so we arrived after the office was closed but while the facility was still open. UHaul customer service could only suggest renting another unit which we did (so we've now paid for a unit we couldn't access and a second where all our belongings have been stored). We'll call this morning to request a refund on the first unit.

Your staff at the East Brunswick facility have been very helpful. I want to esp. mention Lai. When I lost my gate card, Lai helped with a copy of it. She was always nice and courteous. We also want to thank Kyle and your front people for the attention he and they had given to us. Kyle helped us with pro-rating the charges since we have only used two or three days of the following month. We felt safe at the storage space that we rented. The after - office hours access to the storage has been a tremendous help to us. We want to thank all of U-Haul's friendly staff.

I believe paying a whole month when only 4 days of the month was used in a subsequent month is unjust. It should be prorated or a truck on move out should be discounted. As such, I wouldn’t recommend uhaul’s storage as I know there are facilities that prorate monthly rent upon move out

I reserved the unit on line - but after driving two cars full of boxes, paying the rental and walking to the unit we were told there was no unit available. They did not offer a discount or a larger unit at the same price, so we went to Cube Smart where they were much more flexible and the units are better looking.

Safety matter . Sent several photos .. Lightning from a storm and a motorvehicle accident in near by ; cause (?) The facility had electric security gate issues. Summer July ~August year 2021 . The individuals employees are fabulous. I believe they tried their best to rectify the electric security gate matter .

There is an Asian lady that works there that is SUPER rude. She wouldn’t look at us the entire time she dealt with us, we reserved a unit on the first floor and they told us that our reservation did not exist in the computer and that we would be on the second floor in a smaller unit than the one I needed. I drove all the way from NC to NJ anticipating my unit to be ready and was told it was not. THEN I was told that the person who had received my reservation cancelled and it was now available. It was a nightmare. I will not be recommending their services to anyone EVER

I reserved a storage unit on line and It stated first month free. I get to the place and they tell me no. I rented a trailer from Florida to here and it was with in the 2 year frame. It was July 13 2021. Manager knows it all. Why doesn't she know that. My other email is Anthonygadget@aol.com

From the minute we met Jackie in early June as we shopped around for prices, to the final paperwork and signing with Colleen, the service was excellent. We could have gone with another facility (Cube Smart in East Brunswick), but chose UHaul because of the initial contact with Jackie. Cube Smart offered on month free and Colleen honored that when she gave me my final price. I would definitely use UHaul again. Kudos to you for hiring Jackie and Colleen as your employees. They represent UHaul well.

The wait in the office is usually a long wait. I have been there more than once and its the same long wait. I tried calling on the phone before I book but no answer. The unit I rented yesterday the shutter does not working properly I has some issue where it doesn't slide up and down well. I was not able to tell them because they were close. I tried calling this morning to report it as well as ask about items I left in the truck. When I went to collect the item from the truck I didn't take the opportunity to report it as I was rushing to catch a flight.

When I first got there my code didn’t work, had to drive to the office, the lady who helped me told me I made my reservation online so I didn’t have to come in office even when I told her why I came into the office!! went back down code was still saying denied, I got in only because someone else uses there code to go inside building! Also the place is very untidy and look unsafe! I don’t think I will stay long storing my stuff there.

The day we rented & needed to drop everything off a storage the whole system was down for the storage unit, which was fine. The women working there was very helpful & got everything set up to the best of her abilities. The following day however, she left nothing there for the new worker to finish setting up my account or anything. The women working on Sunday was the rudest most incoherent employee I’ve ever met. She called me & told me to come back to the store, which I was told I didn’t need to do, didn’t understand a word I said. Called me stupid in front of other customers & I still have no idea if anything is even set up correctly. When I got there she made me wait 10-15 minutes because she was on a personal call talking badly about the store to her friend. The whole experience was less than satisfactory.

It was not clear when I rented the space that only the second floor was climate control. The entire contents of my unit were damaged wild mold and mildew. The response from the manager was basically, "...tough luck..." The counter help was however helpful.

For 6 years every month on time I paid my bill. I lost the key I was given because I never went to the unit. When I asked to get in you told me to hire a locksmith. That cost me another $120 because you refused to let me in. Yet if I stopped paying for the unit I’m sure the magical extra key would have appeared. So unfair and unethical. We are living in a time right now that requires extra kindness to people not creating more stress and de stress. Yeah you’re facility is ok but as people you fail miserably.
