EMILGEN WService at the location was excellent… had problems with call center information…. They could not give me adequate information on a transport that would not fit my Chevy Silverado…. End up taking the transport with me on and dropping it off empty… a waste of gas and rental
WILLIAM DThe overall experience was good for me. My interactions with staff were professional and friendly. However, I struggled getting good answers to questions from local staff. The phone numbers kept connecting me to the national telephone network who were unable to help and often referred me back to the local only to have my call once again rerouted and my questions left unanswered. The biggest frustration was in SLC where I shipped from was that it said delivery to Alexandria, VA which was 12 miles from my new place in DC and I specifically asked that it be delivered to DC. The manager at the 3900 S location told me that it would be shipped to DC and that Alexandria was only a hub. However, I got to DC and they said they wouldn’t take it there and I had to get it from VA. This led to unforeseen extra costs of $105. I have tried to get this addressed by the company and no one at corporate has been helpful and they refer me back to SLC, who never answer their phones.
SCOTT RThis was not the location that I chose to pick up my truck and then they didn't have any of the furniture dollies that I thought I reserved. Luckily my moving help brought their own. In response to my question as to what was the point of my ordering specific extras at a specific location, U-Haul responded that everything I ordered was a "suggestion" that I guess they feel free to provide or not. In this case, NOT.

JOSELYN MEvery time I called customer service to change something, the next time I called, no one seemed to record the changes. My spouse added me to their account multiple times but it was never recorded, we changed our pickup time but that wasn't recorded (3x), when you finally picked up the box no one closed the account so I was charged for an extra month, then when I called back to get it removed, no one could help and kept transferring me, then I was told I wasn't on the account (I was). Everything took 4x longer than it should have and the staff was clearly either untrained or very poorly trained. Several customer service agents were clueless and I had more information than they did. Next time I will simply pay more and go with PODS. We've used them before and they don't have these issues

ALIA DKnowing their inventory before pickup, so it’s known if the location actually has the dolly’s requested in the reservation.
MARISA LThey took a half hour for them to get to me despite my standing there waiting...both agents were working with customers whose reservations (or lack thereof) seemed to be causing lots of challenges. Once they did get to me though it went through very smoothly.

LATASHA SThe person at the checkout counter was very rude..first he was trying to charge me extra per mile then we have to convince different price on online. Second he didn’t even bother to show the truck and walk through it. Upon returning the truck he just took the keys and told me that he will send me the final receipt after he will do the final walkthrough. Why didn’t he do the walkthrough when the customer was handing the keys to uhaul unless customer is dropping the keys after the hours? He told me to send the final receipt after 30 mins but didn’t receive anything until I called customer service. I received the receipt after 4 hours which was totally unacceptable. Not going to this place never in my life again

Alicia WMy issue is not with the pick up or drop off facility. I reserved a 20' truck a month in advance due to the loading/unloading dock space limitation's associated with my move. The day before the rental I was told no 20' truck was available. I was forced to take a 26' truck. I had a three hour window to empty an apartment which is standard with most apartment rental buildings. Why have a reservation process if it doesn't matter and you don't intend on honoring it. Due to the dock space I was forced to load and unload street side. The 26' truck was to large and has a very wide turning radius. What was even more infuriating was the lack of caring from the regional reservation group in Arlington VA and Miami Fl. You are screwed and they know it. What choice do you have? Cancel the rental truck and fail to move out on the contractual dates or accept what UHAUL offers. I would absolutely encourage future customers to contact Penske or enterprise or just hire movers. The 7.5 miles to the gallon on the larger truck was another negative. Very disappointing!!!!
CHRISTOPHER MPlease better instruct your employees on the proper way to hitch trailers to vehicles! Thanks to the keen eye of the female attendant on duty that morning, she caught a negligently attached hitch and prevented what could have been a fatal mishap by reviewing the photos and quickly recalling me to the depot to have my trailer re-hitched. Thanks to her quick actions, property was undamaged and lives were potentially saved!!
Carl BI rented a trailer for an out-of-town move, but when I arrived to pick it up, I was told that my vehicle did not have the appropriate apparatus to connect wiring for the tail lights. Bethany went above and beyond to help me come up with a Plan B solution that was workable and I couldn't be more grateful. She quite seriously salvaged my day and I was able to move. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Bethany. You are smart, creative, empathetic and very good at your job. We need many more people like you in the world.

CECIL AImprove on checkin/checkout process. I return a Van that I physically inspected - didn't see any damages before handling over the key to the Uhal associate. I was then called 4hrs later after I dropped off the Van to tell me there's a damaged at the rear side on the driver side. This damage is so obvious that I would have seen it and brought it up to the Associate attention. I honestly think this damage happened in the Uhaul facility. I asked the associate to check the cctv for that but he ignored. I think you having good checkin/checkout inspection this could have been avoided by making your customer pay unnecessary fees thats avoidable. I am still going to contest this damage the Associate called me to tell me about. Will get my lawyer to contest it.
EDMUND OPhenomenal experience! Fantastic customer service. I love the use of GPS location for the pick up--letting me know where the U-Box is currently located. I recommended the same feature for drop off. I recommend providing the same feature when doing the drop off. I was provided a 7-hour drop off window, and the app GPS location would have been extremely more convenient. The text notifications were excellent! Since there wasn't a GPS tracking option for drop off, the text notification definitely provided a secondary option for when to expect the U-Box. All the staff I interacted with were awesome! Very friendly and helpful. U-Haul did a fantastic job and the U-Box is so much cheaper than other companies. Highly recommend.

Good service stands out anymore and I’ll make it a point to go to this location even though it’s not closest to my home. Well done!

MARY KThe truck was not cleaned and was damaged. The back door did not lock as the entire handle/lever piece was broken off and dangling. This damage was obviously not inspected or the staff just didn't feel the need to mention this until I had already taken the truck to load up. After repairing the lock to avoid being robbed mid-move in downtown New York (What are the odds, right?). Additionally, I was quoted about $520 for the rental, but was charged $511 even though I returned the truck with the predicted mileage, a full tank, and 36 hours earlier than originally estimated. Uhaul has fallen a long way and I do not intend to rent from them again. This kind of service is an insult to the customers. Next time I'd be more likely to rent from any other carrier.
CHARLES WI returned the U-Haul with the exact same gas level — I filled it up right before dropping it off. Still, I was charged $33 for fuel. I called the branch to explain, but they brushed me off without even checking. No accountability, no customer service. I’m 100% sure I did everything right, but they just didn’t care. Never using this location again.

Joel HMr. Hector, Ms. Abbie, Mr Scoville and the young lady that helped me at the desk two days ago were absolutely excellent. MR. Burke from another totally different region spoke to me harshly. All staff otherwise from the top have been kind, respectful and caring. I still recommend uhaul as the number 1 place to do business and they can provide top services for what you need. Mr. Scoville is polite respectful and assures that thank you along with your staff. They stand by the uhaul name. I must say the President of uhaul stands by his customers and staff 100 percent. Thank you all

Blanca BWhen I called for information I was asking about the promotion for 1 months free storage, they said "we can discuss it when you get here '. After driving 10hrs I get there only to find they don't have storage. I just wish I'd been told that. But drop off was easy
JANET BThe vehicle was good, and the pick-up was easy. But I had a really bad customer service experience when I returned the vehicle. The U-Haul agent, Rayshad, refused to check in my van until all the people in line behind me were taken care of. I was frustrated, so Iwent to my car to wait. But he never came out. After about 20 minutes, I went in and he was continuing to serve customers who came into the shop after me. When he finally decided to come out to check in my van, he changed course to help another customer who came in after me. I don't think I did anything to provoke this behavior other than express frustration that he was making me wait for everyone else to be taken care of. He honestly seemed amused by my frustration, which made me feel even worse. I don't know what his motivation was or why he decided to single me out, but this was a uniquely terrible customer service experience. I hope U-Haul takes this seriously and addresses this incident with Rayshad. Until then, I won't be using or recommending U-Haul for anything.
CAMRON GYour app is confusing and glitchy. I think that my only advice! All people I worked with were great, and moving my stuff was easier than it ever had been before

Monte FThe trailer would not come off of the hitch easily when I had to disconnect at my house, then when I got to the U-Haul center to return they had to get a forklift to disconnect it. No reflection on the location, but the equipment needs work so that it can be disconnected by the renter without a forklift.
SPENCER JI rented a dolly also with the truck because i had some large furnitures. However, the dolly did not work because I was not given the strap. Therefore, it was useless.
