Dat NI rented a car hauler trailer from U-Haul of Grapevine, Texas to move an MGTD to Northwest Arkansas. I really liked the fact that you can rent one on a one way basis. The folks at the pickup point(Grapevine), were very professional and pleasant. The car, being a small antique, just fit on the rails of the trailer and the system to secure the vehicle is very well designed. It arrived in perfect condition after surviving some of the rough parts of the interstate highway. The drop off point in Seligman, Missouri treated me very well as I returned the trailer. From start to finish, U-Haul was an excellent choice for my needs. Thank you!
JOHN HI reserved a trailer the day before I wanted to use it; when I went in to pick up the trailer they didn’t have one to use. Had to wait several hours before one was returned.

Melinda BEverything went great on move in day. The workers inside were very helpful giving me my card and explaining how to enter and exit. My only complaint is that the 4 bays to pull in for smaller cars were all taken. After sitting there waiting for someone to finish I saw only 1 actual customer unloading/loading. After talking with an employee they got another employee to go and move their cars. If the employees would not park in the 4 load and unload bays that would be best.

PAUL CThis location was friendly but not honest about truck rental. Nor reprinted me a new contract when I was change from a 15 to a 20. I am being charged for destination drop off when a uhaul employee Dylan was not honest about location or mileage. Uhaul is a Business that will forever depend on consumers to have dependency and demand for quality products to make their move less stressful as possible. Not only was my reservation was transferred to another state 4 hrs away professionally done by a GM in Tulsa. I as a customer received dishonesty. I will definitely not recommend to anyone.
MALLORY DWe were very happy to see so many people working at this location on a Saturday. We came to get an open trailer, and it was quick and easy to pick up. Drop off was simple and quick too. The staff was efficient and were really nice! Great Job!!

BRYAN EI have been renting trailers, box trucks, and vans from this location for years. The manager and the staff are simply amazing. Have there been times I had to wait - yes. But it was obvious they were working as fast as they could and got to me as quickly as possible.
RICHARD MOur experience with this U-haul location was a good one. We had items in a storage unit that we were clearing out so we rented a trailer to move 2,000 miles. We looked at the equipment 2 days before it was needed. On loading day we were shown a trailer that wasn't in as good a shape as the two units we had looked at previously (meaning the tires weren't in good shape). I asked if we could have one of the trailers in another part of the parking lot (with newer tires) and I was accommodated.

FADI RThe truck was clean, but not sure what the problem is with the engine transmission. From 35 to 60 it bucked like a bronco with a thumbtack under the saddle. It surged forward and back, constantly with the load in Tow/Haul mode. Tried in the normal and still seemed to do the same. It was a LONG 3 hour drive from DFW to Austin !!! This was reported to James when he contacted about the turn in of the truck. Interior and box were clean

But the one she gave us on 3 was bit less $89 I believe so maybe only $5-6. Difference but she never brought up the car amt or when it wud come off one of my next 1st mo pmts. So, I recvd NO info on those 2 things if I may can I ask about something just came to mind? I'm a 70 yr old woman, do y'all offer any Sr. Disc.s?? Thank you for even checking bk on new customers! One more ask? If it wud be possible to make my March PMT my free month? I'm just almost caught up fr C Mas. A whole lot of grand,Grt grands, ha I let them all know Maybe they should take a lil break. Elevator was down on a Saturday, but he & 2 other employees helped me move a trundle bed up to my 3rd floor unit, then helped me move down a twin xl electric bed with a 12 inch matress to my truck for my disabled bedridden wife who needed her bed changed out in 1 afternoon. These guys went over & beyond in imho. The rent on a 10x10 unit was too steep though, going up by $10 to $239.99 monthly. I needed a short term storage unit to help me organize & swap out furniture at her apartment & furniture & my home as my 85 year old Mother passed away suddenly of a stroke. My first month rent was free, thus costing me $115 a month for 2 months rental. Thats all I needed. Nice facility and super staff I can highly recommend. Prices are too high though for most folks. 👍

I observed 2 employees parked several times, a grey lexis and small 4 door white car. Multiple trips I had to park out in the lot and cart my items up and down a ramp. In my opinion, not very professional. The interior was normally 80 degrees but dust did not seem to be an issue. Overall I had no issues.

U-Haul finally priced me out. I noticed many empty units recently. There is a point where people just say no…..not any more…..

I was later I was told that they were understaffed and therefore no one was available to answer the phone Secondly, the staff are young men with a frequent turnover. David F | First ImpressionsI had to in multiple instances redirect the staff who were very distracted with eachother outside of work related focuses to please check me out. This staff was inappropriate in their jokes outloud to eachother infront of customers and were more concerned about eachother than the customers that were needing help. I spent 30 min checking out with them partially due to technical issues in the system that day but the other half of it was because of their lack in the ability to focus on their work at hand and being to busy making jokes and horseplaying in almost a manner of them thinking the customers were enjoying their actions. I had to finally ask them to focus on checking me out and remind them that I was on a timeline to turn in my truck and had just finished a 2 day drive across the country and that I would like to be done with everything sooner than later due to their account of not focusing on their tasks at hand. They were more than enough staffed, but were more focused on their jokes and horseplaying than U-Haul business with its customers. This was the most poor example of U-Haul employees I’ve experienced, and due to the delays and lack of focus I lost my patience and told them to come get me once they were done with the horseplaying as I had to complete my unloading so I could complete my move. My girlfriend came in the office to complete checking out as I was done with the lack of service I was being provided, and she relayed to me that they were sorry for everything. If you would like the details as to the actions that took place please call me. I’m very disappointed in the staff I encountered.

John G | Overall ExperienceUHAUL Storage unit building is poorly maintained (after-hours swipe in/out security access rarely works, single elevator for entire building periodically inop). Facility is overcrowded with rental trucks that are stacked at storage access loading dock and block access for customers trying to load/unload. Management allows truck rental customers to park their personal vehicles in the lot during the duration of their multi-day truck rental leaving no place to park or maneuver when trying to access storage unit. All these comments are based on multiple complaints to managers over several months without resolutions—I ultimately just moved out.

One time even after I set up payment arrangements with the manager I was called and threatened with auction. The guy was a complete jerk and rude! Plus when I was able to come back into town to get my items a lot of my stuff was missing. I didn’t realize it was missing until I started unpacking my boxes. They didn’t go through individual boxes, they just took 4 of my large boxes with a lot of my decorations and personal effects. Not worth much to anyone but me and my family. I wouldn’t recommend this storage facility to anyone unless they want to lose their things. There isn’t anyone you can file a complaint with because it is your word against theirs.

It took from June 13 to July 5 to get it resolved… I had to call multiple times and each time I never spoke to the specific location; I was forwarded to the customer service center. I was told multiple times the manager would call me from this specific location and she never did. I had to call many times over those 3 weeks so get it closed. I even did the online close out and it says someone will contact you in 48 hours. No one ever did. I then received an email that said our payment was late and there was a fee added on. I called again and the customer service center could not get in contact with the manager… so I was given her email. I voiced my frustration and all I got was a close out receipt of our unit. No apology at all. I am so upset. Customer service is so important and is lacking immensely. We also had a situation of picking up a truck to get our stuff from the storage unit. The truck was supposed to be picked up at five in the morning. My husband went to go pick it up and there were no keys. We were not told that the previous customer did not return the keys in so my husband had to wait eight hours to speak to someone at that location because it was a Sunday, and figure out a Plan B. And we only received a $50 compensation for that… I understand that it’s not their fault but we should have been notified ahead of time so that my husband didn’t have to waste eight hours.

However, lately there have been an increased number of dead insects inside my storage unit. They should probably spray the perimeter better so they don’t make it inside my storage unit. The entrance has a “donation” area which turned into a junk storage area, and no one dumps the trashed items. Management routinely parks un-rented U-haul trucks in front of the customer loading dock which blocks access to pick up/drop off heavy items.

Also, be consistent across U-HAUL regarding masks. In NORMAN OK, no mention of "wear your mask". In GRAPEVINE, TX, the employees were overbearing and unfriendly regarding the requirement to wear a mask. At the same time employees were telling us to wear a mask, other customers were not wearing masks plus on of the counter employees was wearing her mask under her nose - the entire time we were there.

Both of us were there 2-3 days before her move on Dec 14 at which I informed UHaul that she would be moving Dec 14, any remaining items would be transferred to smaller unit which she would rent and pay for and I would not be financially responsible after Dec 31 inalienable payment. The guy that noted all this in the computer said 3011 would be closed when my daughter closed unit on Dec 14. My daughter rented Unit 3123 on Dec 14, the day she had movers empty 3011. The same plastic card was given back to her that day even though 3011 has been empty and closed since Dec 14. It was never “closed” from your records until Jan 8th. The mgr, Mark closed 3011 again on Jan 8th and 3123 on Jan 8.

On my last day when I was turning in my key, I observed Mark Molina being treated HORRIBLY by a customer when he asked her and her 2 grown children if she had a mask because it said on the front door you need one. She was so rude, and wrong (I am a doctor). Mark handled it so well, he asked her to go outside and someone would help her there. He said it happens every day. Way to go Mark.

The units are immaculate and secure, I’ve literally never seen a storage facility as clean and kept up as this one. Marisel and her team in the office have always helped me when I had any questions regarding storage or when it came time for my move and went above and beyond to make that easy as well. If you’re looking for a clean and safe place for your items that need to be stored, Grapevine is worth paying just a little bit more for peace of mind.

There was a time we had 8 units with U-Haul in the past. We will never use U-Haul again. The staff was nice and fixed the problem, apologized and then did it again. It wore me out!!!! I found my experience to be, from getting my hitch installed in MD, storing my stuff in Grapevine to be outstanding experience. Had I known the experience I was in for, I would not have stressed my self out so much. Your CSR people where nothing but outstanding as well. I even utilized online chat which helped when waiting for a CSR helpful. Sean S | Overall ExperienceI had problems with billing. My husband and I signed up for automatic billing. It did not happen and then they would tack on late charges. That happened twice. Then in May they call us and tell us our storage unit had not been closed all the way and my glass table was busted and things were missing. This was temporary storage for us until the military shipped the rest of our things overseas. Also, they do not tell you that if you get your things out early it is not prorated you still pay the full amount. I cancelled my credit card so they could not refill me after all my things were removed. Since, I had so many problems with them billing me. The manager was rude she was supposed to call me back the first week of March and her response was I called you in May. It was to tell me about the unit not being locked not the problems I was having with billing. She was rude to me when I comforted her about it. I would not recthem.

After a long day of driving a trailer to move some stuff into storage temporarily, she helped make the process as easy as possible. She went out of her way to make sure the unit I got was easily accessible from the elevator and answered all of my questions. This experience was stress-free and I was really grateful for that!
