RICARDO L | First ImpressionsMy reservation #29609800 for a 10-ft truck on 5/17/25 completely changed and upset our schedule somewhat. We arrived promptly at 9:00 am at 6121 Landmark Center in Greensboro. The facility was very nice and the attendant was very pleasant and welcoming. But he then told us he couldn't find our reservation and didn't have a 10 ft truck. I checked my confirmation from Uhaul and the address had been updated to High Point about 20 minutes away. This threw off our moving schedule along with the other people involved. It was super frustrating! We went to the High Point facility, which was much bigger and everything was handled cordially and professionally. We got a 15-ft truck instead of a 10 ft truck. There was only 1/4 tank of gas in the truck when we picked it up so then we were further delayed in getting gas.

stephanie B | Overall ExperienceTrailer had no electrical connector to hook into my hitch, clerk had little knowledge of the whole process, manager didn’t assist at all, trailer wasn’t secured properly to my hitch and became unattached from the ball as I was pulling into the highway from their parking lot! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE THAT ENDED IN DAMAGE TO MY SUV!!! Manager should be canned for not training his assistant properly, not assisting his assistant in the leasing & hookup of my trailer… then had an attitude with me when I was put in a dangerous situation right outside their lot!!!

JOSEPH KI purposely waited a week before submitting review. I wanted to ensure there were no issues with the hitch installation. After I drove off (late afternoon), I heard a rattling noise. I brought the vehicle back the next day to describe the noise to the installer. He made an adjustment and I drove away. The rattling noise was still there so I returned. This time, the installer rode with me so he could hear the sound and possibly pinpoint the location. We returned and he made another adjustment. I drove away and although it wasn't as loud as before, the rattling nouse was still present. The installer made another adjustment and stated that he had to go farther back under the vehicle to replace a bracket. I have not heard the rattling noise since. Tremaine(sp?), the installer was extremely patient during this entire process. He remained calm and persisted throughout until I was satisfied. He mentioned that if I had any more issues, that I could bring the vehicle back. He diaplayed great customer service.
ROBERT RI drove right in, someone directed me where to go, the representative unhitched the trailer then thanked me, and I drove off. Very polite, efficient, and easy.
RYAN SThe unit they told me was online check in would not allow me to do so, they moved me to a different unit at another location but I had to pay for it, there wasn’t a lock inside so I had to leave my storage unlocked until the next morning. They did end up refunding my payment and giving me a lock. It was risky and I’m not sure I would go through that again

mark gU-haul Installed my hitch on a 2019 Jeep Compass trailhawk on April 8, 2025..When installing, tech didn’t watch out for fascia bracket and bent it in half..Now wedged up behind hitch..He used zip tie to attach the fascia instead of fixing it..Only way to correct, is to remove hitch, and start all over..I was really surprised and disappointed when I saw it..Didn’t even mentioned it to me..I was wiring my trailer lights when I saw it..Guess you have to do it yourself if you want it done right..

MICHELLE VThe staff does not clarify pricing as clearly as they should. They leave it out there for you to figure out. Then the two men that worked on Sunday were unpleasant when asked any questions that had to do with explaining, it is as if they are trying to start a confrontation. Then they put it on you. I had to just keep my mouth shut and figure it out as I went during the truck rental process. Lastly I over paid for gas to fill the tank. Thankkfully the female employee was nice upon return. I find some of your employees uninformed in the best practices for explaining rates and disrespectful in a snyde kind of way. I have been renting at this location since 2014. I was appalled at the new vibe at this store this past weekend. I guess these guys get abused by their customers so they come out swinging & have attitude problems. Not so happy with the treatment this past Sunday as a matter of fact I also found it absurd when the manager laughed when he said during the week the miledge charge is way higher.

I had just finished the process when the inside agent cancelled my rental and gave it away. She did provide another truck, but it was dirty, broken, and should not have been rented out.

VAN HThe Asst. Manager flat out lied and said we asked for rental insurance. The white guy on Saturday that assisted us told me I would get my $10. Deposit back since we paid in cash. The Asst. manager came in and took over the transaction and added insurance that we did not request needless to say when we returned the trailer after only 3-hours we were charged almost $75. I got back $1.98 very very poor customer service on everyone that we encountered that day which was 3 males and 1 woman. The white guy knowing we didn’t want the insurance would not speak up. Most decent businesses that encounter such a small misunderstanding would have refunded the mere $10. But these people chose to go back and forth then call the asst. manager who had let by the time we returned the trailer and he lied and told the girl we requested the insurance that was a lie. If you will lie you will steal and that’s just what he did. The service there is horrible.
GREGORY WOverall the experience was okay until we ran into unexpected vehicle repair issues. We were made aware that the truck we were picking up previously had a "faulty engine light issue ". In hindsight and throughout our delay, reality was that the truck should not have been put out to any customer due to the chance of default and inconvenience. We ended up getting a replacement truck that aided in us being able to finish up our move.

JESSICA MI rented 4 u Boxes .2 were in poor shape as wood door has wrapped on one and the other a bit out of alignment. That is a workable issue, but the orange cover on one was in pieces and needs to be retired. The equipment was clean, so my concerns are limited to the condition of the boxes and covers on two units. The staff and manager there are lovely to work with. I highly recommend this U-Haul location and team.

The warning message was on the dash. I checked the tire pressure, it was 40 lbs. The sticker on the door said it should be 80 lbs. I added air to the tire at home.

Jeremi Y | Overall ExperienceMy spa was closed due to a water line break. I needed space for equipment, furniture and supplies that would normally be kept in my work space. U-Haul has temperature control spaces available. I rented a storage space with a little storage space than my work space had. Everything was stored there while spa underwent cleaning, drying and restoration process at a temperature that was perfect for supplies that are temp sensitive. No worries with loss of supplies due to temps too hot or too cold, one less thing to worry over! Thank you U-Haul!

CARLOS R | Overall ExperienceRaven, the assistant manager, was extremely helpful, informative, polite, friendly, and confident of U-haul's services and products, when I first contacted the North Main, High Point location by phone. She offered a visit to the facility to compare U-Haul's ramp vs. liftgate, though I declined. My son, helping me move, and I, with some large, heavy pieces to move, were looking for a truck with a liftgate which U-haul does not offer, so I reserved a truck with a liftgate at the competitor Penske. The Enterprise dealer didn't answer the phone, even after half-dozen attempts to contact. After two days of wrangling with an authorized dealer of Penske rentals, whose quoted prices and terms were inconsistent between conversations, and different from those posted on the corporate website, who insulted me and my son, then refused to answer my clarifying questions of daily rental and mileage amounts, telling me to tell my son to call him, and hung up on me. No liftgate truck is worth being insulted and hung up on, so my son and I decided we'd go with U-Haul. We reserved online, and then received a phone calls from an agent, Deborah, who discussed with us our needs, and options that would meet those needs. It was painless and easy, and most of all, consistent and COURTEOUS. I kept thinking of how calm, respectful, and pleasant my conversation with Raven had been, and how different it was from the brusque, rude, and condescending conversations with the Penske dealer. We rented U-Haul's15-ft truck for two days, and a 10x10x8 storage unit at Raven's location, North Main, High Point, North Carolina. When I went to the location to sign the storage unit rental agreement and get a lock, I met Raven, and she was just as courteous, knowledgeable, and professional in person, as over the phone. Although we weren't able to move the heaviest large piece with the truck with the ramp, we now know we can do so with a trailer rented through U-Haul, which we plan to do this upcoming week. Over my lifetime, I've rented trucks for moving nearly two dozen times, most of them through U-Haul. I don't know why I thought any other truck rental company could do as good a job as U-Haul on this most recent move, but I've learned my lesson. Excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff make all the difference. U-Haul from now, on. Thank you.

I pay you guys to make sure my belongings are secure and you can’t even do that. Second strike, before moving out I removed my furniture set to go into my apartment which had what appeared to be mold on. We’ll mold grows in moist environments and I figured that can’t be because they are fully secure. Wrong. After a deeper look, a lot of stuff that was in there had water damage and mice poop everywhere. Strike 3 for me. My expectation was to pay you per month to ensure my things were safe and would be from the time I put it in there to the time I take it out. Won’t do this location again let alone uhaul unless it is indoor.

Went back on their word about previous conversations, did not notate arrangements in the system. Very argumentative. Someone tried to authorize a payment from two of the cards I had on file without my knowledge and when I called the store KC sounded nervous and rushed me off the phone claiming he didn’t know how it happened. I never heard back about it. I also received a bill after I signed a settlement agreement and moved out. This was a stressful situation experience and I would never recommend this location to anyone.

Another employee terminated our move in agreement without my signature or approval earlier in the same day. And as a result I had to stay in a hotel and find a last minute dog sitter. This has been my worst move in experience. I wish any other Uhaul storage facility in a 30 mile radius had a similar sized unit available. Customer service and support has need severely lacking.

Luckily we had one on our trailer, but this might have been more problematic for someone else who would have had to leave to go get one. It was a Sunday so we couldn't go in to see anyone. Not sure if the facility requires you to use that type of lock, but I haven't heard from anyone so I assume it's not an issue. Maybe I should be getting a credit on my account for the cost of the lock though..?

I was given a ‘VIP’ rate, but, U-haul didn’t know about it, so the final straw was a notice stating my items would be sold for non-payment. the employee thought my concerns were funny. POOR customer service. however, the last employee was absolutely the BEST! I wouldn’t have left U-haul if the quality of all of the employees was like him. He even signed my final receipt. this was the only signed receipt that I got.

NO RECORDS EXIST FOR THAT TRANSACTION BUT I HAVE AUDIO AND VIDEO OF HIM DENYING THAT HE DID IT... I HAVE INDISPUTABLE PROOF FROM MY BANK AND A RECEIPT SHOWING THE TRANSACTION.

The smell was much like a dead animal or rodent. But my main problem was the LACK OF COMMUNICATION that existed. Even though I paid my bill I received three (3) "Pre-Lien" letters stating stating I had not paid my bill. When I told the manager he stated "those letters are from Corporate, they don't mean anything, just throw them away." This made no sense. Why didn't the manager simply inform corporate my bill was paid?

There was so much moisture in the unit Rats/mice droppings aplenty were found in my unit. They ate thru some of my things. I saw that rat poison black box was put in my unit. I had to throw things away cause i saw rat droppings on them. Truly disgusting. I was not warned about rats.
