I had a terrible experience at this U-Haul location. The truck that was supposed to be ready for me was buried behind three others, and the staff member on duty was extremely unmotivated and unwilling to help. Instead of doing her job and checking which truck was available, I had to make three separate trips myself to figure it out. The first truck was inaccessible, the second one had a check engine light on, and only on the third attempt, after wasting over an hour, was I finally given a usable vehicle. This delay seriously impacted a time-sensitive job I had, and the overall lack of professionalism and preparedness was incredibly frustrating. Picking up the truck via the uhaul app was slow but worked well overall. However the return experience where I needed to interact with the local staff was poor. The line to return trucks was completely full. I went in and waited in line to speak to an employee, who when I finally did was completely apathetic to the issue. There was nowhere to park the truck without blocking in other customers' personal vehicles and the employee stated that he didn't care and it was ok. I returned the truck in the app but the instructions that he gave me differed from what the app instructed me to do, specifically to leave the keys in the truck and where to park it. The customer service at this uhaul location was terrible and I will use a different dealer next time.

regarding the new rental: The lock provided was used and had a piece of electrical tape attached along the bottom. The storage unit is too dark to be able to work inside. I'll have to get lanterns to see well enough to load the shelves properly.

The whole process was effecient. I walked in, processed through the paper work. They asked also for a secondary contact, I gave them my boss's contact information. The process of finding my unit was easy, there are maps of the storage layout inside the storange access area. I did set of the motion sensor alarm, did not realize my access card is neccessary for turning that off in the section where my unit is. That was turned off with no fuss, and there was no further issue. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with the service.

Personnel helped back the truck to the loading dock. My poor rating is because of a lady by the name of Andrea who lied to me was rude and not helpful. I had reserved a 10x10x13 unit online and reserved it and then was given two separate units and told they were next to each other which they weren't. They were located on the third floor and on opposite ends not next to each other and it was difficult to unload my things and place them properly and in a timely manner. I would have left if my things weren't already unloaded and that was the facility that I was returning my truck to. I asked the Personnel for the corporate number and I am going to call and complain.

The signage outside isn’t very clear as to which door to be using. Myself along with another customer both could not get in as we were at the after hours door. While I noticed the sign hours later, it is very small and does not stand out. The staff is very nice and helpful when we needed assistance trying to get in as well as when we had issues with the lock on our unit.

I ordered a specific hitch after doing research to pick the one that I wanted and even prepaid and then waited extra time for the correct hitch to be shipped to the U-Haul location. Apparently the store was busy so the manager decided to install a different hitch that was easier for him and never even called to ask if I approved. I showed up and the wrong hitch, that I didn’t want, was installed on my car with absolutely no notice. Would never give this store business again and would not recommend U-Haul for hitch installation to anyone I know.

With tire pressures on this 26ft truck set at 110psi the ride the was firm and harsh on less than perfectly smooth roads. Make sure whatever you’re hauling is padded well and strapped down.

This facility has the worst customer service! Our reservation was changed to pickup at this location. When we arrived we were told that they did not have the reserved trailer. Said they didn’t have any. Another employee went and and checked and said we have 5, give her one. First employee was quite busy eating his chips and salsa do help us buy eventually….approximately 20’ later the paperwork was completed (not sure why it took so long as I had completed the online checkin for quick pickup) Employee sent us out to yard where he said someone would help us locate trailer and hook it up. We waited and waited, others were waiting too. Went back in 2 separate times to ask for help, not a sole inside and 2 other customers waiting there. Took us over 50’ from start of contact to drive off. Horrible experience!

I had an issue with the information / advice given to me by your service rep working at the front desk who gave me the keys, when he went through how it works, etc. He told me that I had to return the vehicle with at least 5/8 to 3/4 full in the gas tank which didn't make any sense. He should've said to just make sure that the gas level is the same as when you leave our facility. So, I likely would've have only needed to put approximately $5 worth of fuel back in the truck. Instead, I ended up putting $20 in which means I basically "donated" $15 to U-Haul. Also, when I asked how much per gallon I would be charged if I didn't bring the truck back with the proper amount of fuel he said, "I don't know", I had to show him on the contract where it states that the charge would be $4.50 a gallon.

Was "helped" by an employee named Cristina P who was the rudest and most unpleasant person I've ever encountered in customer service. She just flat out refused to answer and question I had nor explained anything. Her entire demeanor was incredibly vile. In no way should this person be a customer facing representation of uhaul. Other than that I really enjoy using uhaul. I would tell everyone to avoid this location just to avoid this terrible person

The location is very convenient, with MANY trucks and equipment to choose from. Looked like there were plenty of accessories to rent as well. However, I would say the staff was poor. When I walked in, there were 4 staff members all sitting on their phones and I had to ask them for help, instead of them asking how they could help me. I was the only customer. Poor attitudes and not very helpful until I asked many questions.

You got my units in someone elses name when I first got there. You continued to charge me for 2 units when I had only one. I told you to sell it and you kept charging me for the two units for anot5 months after. Looking forward to suing you and would NEVER recommend you to anyone

The morning crew is exceptional. If you are using this location go in the morning when the manager is there. The afternoon/evening crew was horrible. The afternoon group could not be bothered to get off of their cell phones to help me. They were rude and lazy. Their total lack of customer service was in stark contrast to the service we received at our morning checkout visit.

The people experience was awesome. Everyone was very helpful. The truck ran great and the trailer was easy to use. Easy to hook up and unhook as needed. The app to set everything up or hold the equipment didn’t work. Would not let me save it or sign in. The U-Haul app needs a lot of work.

I was very disappointed that after spending 20 minutes on the phone to secure the right trailer with a ramp, when I showed up there was no trailers with ramps in the size I needed available. Ultimately, I had to get a smaller trailer which was a challenge for the task at hand. Had I been told that there was a high likelihood that the trailer I needed would not be available- I could have selected a different location or made other plans.

I had a two part pickup. A truck one day and a auto hauler trailer the next day. The truck pick up went very smoothly. The man behind the desk was friendly, quick and efficient. He offered information that was helpful during our move. He even helped me when a storm came in and delayed our departure. He remember who I was and what we had previously talked about. He provided information so that I could contact the "scheduling" department to verify that a day was added to my rental due to local weather conditions (70+ mph winds on I70 East out of Denver). The trailer pickup was somewhat less than satisfactory. The woman behind the desk was not very friendly. Did not offer any useful information. As we were loading the trailer she came out and made hand gestures and was not able to offer any useful information. Just the same line several times: "Connect the chain to the frame." We had a 2010 Honda Accord. There is no real frame at the rear of the car. Everything under the car was suspension components. A tech came out and assisted eventually. He agreed, no actual frame components. We were able to connect to part of the suspension that was anchored to the bottom of the vehicle. The front of the car had two rings that were available for towing purposes. That was not a problem. I have been dealing with U-Haul several times over the past few years. Never had any problems with the vehicles or personnel. This experience was very disappointing.

I rented a truck for 1 hour---I drove a total of 3 miles. Went to check in and they said just leave the keys and we will send you a final statement--also will credit your milage. Checkin showed I drove three miles but yet they charged me for 4 gallons of gas. Also not credited for milage. Called corporate and they did correct but it was a hassle. still waiting on refund from bank.

I was really looking forward to visiting this place, but unfortunately, the experience didn't meet my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the staff didn't seem very welcoming. I was charged double the rate in error! Also, the truck was supposed to have a full tank of gas but instead it had 1/4 of a tank. We had to take time to go back in and deal with that, which delayed us further. Luckily we had taken a picture of the tank reading before we left so we had proof when they didn’t believe us. When we rented the truck they pre-charged us for the estimated mileage of 30 miles. We ended up only driving 12 miles. They assured us it would be settled out correctly. Later that evening I got a notice from my credit card showing that I did not receive a credit, but instead was charged an additional fee! Just now, on Saturday, we stopped by the location to get this remedied and the clerk was extremely rude. She said that her boss would have to fix it and he was gone until Monday. She didn’t bother to listen to the situation but just reiterated what we had been charged, which obviously we already knew and it was wrong! I am really upset with this place and will not go there again!

Cristina P. should be fired from U-haul and never work in customer service again. I originally made a reservation for a 26' truck and a vehicle tow dolly on Monday 2/10. When I went to pick up my equipment on Wednesday morning (Uhaul was letting me pick it up a day early for no extra charge), Cristina didn't bother to look for a reservation, but proceeded to start a rental agreement from scratch. She charged me full price for the 26' truck (I had a small discount included in my reservation), and charged me for the auto transport trailer, which is $420 more than the tow dolly I had reserved. When I asked her why there was a price discrepancy between her total and my reservation total, she told me she had no idea why her subtotal was over $600 more, and gave no impressions that she was willing to investigate it further. When I tried to use the card number that my future employer provided me to help with moving expenses, she informed me that they don't accept card numbers, only physical cards (I'm sorry, but there is literally nobody in this day and age that cares whether you are using a card number or a physical card to pay for something). I didn't realize that she booked me for the wrong vehicle transport equipment until after the transaction was completed and they were prepping the equipment. I walked over there to tell her that I didn't want the equipment she charged me for, and that I wanted the cheaper tow dolly. She tried to tell me that the vehicle I was towing wasn't compatible for the tow dolly I requested, which was very interesting to me since I had literally used the same tow dolly to transport my vehicle out to Colorado 18 months ago without any problems. At this point my patience was completely gone and I raised my voice at her a little, to which she responded "I don't know why you're getting so upset with me, I only work here". She went back inside to check if any of the tow dollies was available for me to take, and upon this confirmation, she informed me that we didn't need to create a new equipment rental agreement/receipt because the tow dolly and the auto transport she originally charged me for were the same price (which was a lie). At this point, I gave up with her because she had proved to me that she was either brand new at her job (unlikely), incompetent, or just didn't care about my business at all. I left with my rental equipment and called the general U-haul customer service line to get the required refund for the amount that Cristina overcharged me. To finally talk about the equipment I rented, the tow dolly they gave me had a tow hook missing off one of their chains, which I had to duct tape in place to keep it from dragging underneath my towed vehicle. The 26' truck had the traction/stability control and the ABS dash lights turned on for the entire drive, which tells me that the truck was best case experiencing an electrical problem, or worst case had some major problems with these two systems. To anyone in the Highlands Ranch area that reads this review, most of the people that work at this location don't pay as close of attention to what they are doing as they should, but especially avoid Cristina P. if you can. She vapes indoors during her shift and doesn't care about her job, or any customers that walk through the door. I cannot emphasize enough that this experience made me never want to do business with U-haul ever again.

I visited to rent a truck and also reserve a storage unit to move into several days later. The rep said I was lucky since it was the last 10x10 available. However when I arrived the day of my rental I was told that even though I had a printed reservation form for the 10x10 unit it wasn’t actually reserved. And then they only had the larger 10x15 available. She asked me who did the reservation and I described him and she said “he doesn’t know what he’s doing”. The woman who helped me was the only one working and kept bad mouthing everything about the facility and the staff and never actually apologized for the staff error. Her customer service skills are severely lacking. So, I was stuck with renting a larger unit and paying more due to their error. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I couldn’t find it in the lot. I went back to the office and the woman heavy sighed and said “I told him to move that truck out”. And then she threw me keys to a different truck and said to use that one. I never heard “I’m sorry”. I’m not sure if the facility is understaffed or that customer service training isn’t available but I won’t be recommending this facility simply due to the way I was treated by the office staff and the fact that I was forced to pay for a larger unit than I needed due to their error.

Staff in the store were not great on most occasions I visited. Then, whern I checked out in the app (yes I remove the lock and uploaded photos) it showed the checkout as pending manager approval for 2 weeks after I checked out. Eventually I had to call the store to get it resolved because it was clear uhaul was going to charge me for another month and was not going to action the checkout at all, The tech and facilities were great. Let down by less than average staff.

I had numerous problems with the rolling door on my unit and even after a repair (when the repair guy never returned the key to my lock) it still didn’t work. This kept me from accessing my unit on various occasions, including when I tried transferring my stuff to a larger unit. The elevator was out of order twice when I was trying to transfer to a different unit and I ended up paying for 2 units that month because of these two reasons. I also don’t know if staff was instructing truck renters to park in the vehicle loading area, or didn’t enforce it but I couldn’t park to load/unload on several occasions. Other than those pretty important things, the staff was helpful and empathetic. Facilities were always clean, and I loved the “green area” where you can donate or take items, I did both.

This is a good place for storing and also renting trailers. They need more staff that is trained to handle a greater scope of issues. It seems to depend an awful lot on one man, Marcus, who is excellent but split between necessary operations. Once he took over at the counter, all went smoothly with my account and he was gracious with price since there were issues and I had to wait so long for his help.

Problems started from initial reservation to check-in. Booked with a live person, did not receive confirmation. Got to the location that morning and they did not have my reservation. Luckily they had 10x10 units so that worked but I had reserved a 10x15. Unit didn’t have a lock. Asked attendant, said he would get one - he disappeared to check-in a truck. 10 mins later went out to ask him about the lock, said he’d be right in - never came in. Asked another attendant, he was clueless. Finally ran into the owner, he told me to get a lock off the rack in the lobby - expressed no concern over the issues I had encountered, not even an apology for inconveniences. Very poor customer service.

The general manager (Darrell) and his staff were on point. I walked in unannounced with a ramp trailer, said I needed a storage unit, and they got right on it. Mr. D came out to my vehicle, we came up with a quick game plan and he had his staff working on the paperwork while we were doing that. The process was seamless, the staff were friendly, and I felt their customer service was top tier. I will use them for any future moving services!

Durrell was AWESOME on Friday but the lady on Saturday was LAZY, ignored me at the door at 6:59 am and shuffled to the OPEN sign before opening the door at 7:05am. By the time she got off her phone I finally received my rental truck after telling her multiple times the size. ATTENT TO DETAIL was lacking. Also they can NOT read fuel gages as it was 1/8th of a tank NOT 1/4. Did NOT shovel the walkways and area until 2:30-3pm when I returned the rental truck. Upon checking out the staff at the county line location were very helpful and professional. There was a lady from a different location in the back and she spoke so loudly you could hear her inappropriate language. A employee went back and said there was a customer but that didn’t phase her she just got louder and used even more F bombs. U-Haul should not allow an employee to talk like that or subject your employees to this type of a work environment.

I was locked out of my unit because the store manager decided to manually lock up an hour and a half early. When I talked to him on the phone, he refused to open the door. This caused be to spend an extra $1500 on my move because I had to get a hotel to come back to the unit next day. I also missed picking up my furniture at IKEA and had to drive the truck an extra 3 hours to return for the furniture. I also missed signing my lease with the landlord so I had to wait until the landlord returned after Labor Day, so I had to keep the truck an extra 4 days! All because the uhaul store manager was negligent.

It would be nice to have access anytime to the storage unit. We live far from the place the unit was at and it was hard to get down there to clean it out without being able to go in anytime. I have been continuously denied entry to the building with the card the staff gave me, it keeps telling me I'm not checked in and to check with the staff. They say it's likely a wiring issue with the new system. Aside from that issue everything was great

Had issues before I even arrived to check into my unit. Prepaid online. They couldn't find me in the system when I arrived at facility. Than signed me up for a new unit that I paid for only they didn't attach my name to it. Got a call 2 weeks later when they couldnt figure out who it belonged to. Got charged late fees. Was told by a manager that i didn't have to pay rent for July 17th because my move out was the 29th. Only to be charged another late fee and told otherwise. Told I had to talk to the main manager who I could never get a hold of. I called several times in 7 days only to be put on hold for over 15min. each time. When I couldn't get a hold of the manager I was told to talk to i went there in person. The manager did not want to be bothered and walked away as fast as he arrived. I have worked in customer service for sometime. I understand staff shortages and long hours. Almost every person I interacted with was unhappy. Please provide them with better employee perks and benefits.

The units listed as available in the office, were not available. I went up to the third floor and locks were on both ‘available’ rooms. Spent a good 25 minutes waiting to get another open unit while the employee physically went up to check on 3 more supposedly available units. Improvements need to be made in inventory control and updates. Customers shouldn’t be inconvenienced, especially if they have limited time to accomplish multiple trips to and from the storage location in one day. I’m moving soon and it’s stressful enough without more issues like that. Is it human error? Your inventory system? I don’t know. Staff was kind and apologetic but here shouldn’t be a need to apologize in the first place. Only thing making it more palatable is the first month is free.

There are never enough people working at this facility. You are never able to reach someone on the telephone. If you need to speak to someone you have to go there in person because nobody ever answers the phone. There are typically only one to two people working so you wait a significant amount of time before being helped. In the time that I rented there, somewhere around a year give or take, I had set up automatic payments and twice the information got deleted and I was charged late fees because they said that I didn't pay. To which I had to go in to the facility in person to straighten out where the late fees were then reversed because it was U-Hauls there not mine. Overall, I will never rent a storage unit from a U-Haul ever again.

I believe the documentation between myself, the location’s manager, the regional director, the moving company hired by the location’s manager, and Uhaul’s corporate legal department clearly outlines my sentiments about Uhaul and this location in particular. I will never again do business with Uhaul anywhere nor will I recommend it to anyone I know. Rather, I will urge them to avoid using your services. I couldn’t move out soon enough. These strong, negative sentiments of the Uhaul brand that have left a lasting and permanent impression are due to one man, this location’s manager. One man. A disrespectful bully, liar, manipulator, and truly a man without honor. Losing one singular customer is probably not important to a corporation the size of Uhaul. But trust me, the damage one woman can do by word of mouth and on social in the future can be impactful in an area like south Denver. I’ve never written words like I just did on any review in my life. And I didn’t like writing them. I tend to only write about the positive things I find in an experience. So please don’t dismiss my comments as a one-off disgruntled woman. This situation went far beyond anything that is acceptable in any arena of life. ONE MAN sullied your brand and your reputation. And he’s still managing unhappy employees and unhappy customers who have come in contact with him. It is really amazing what you hear in an elevator. One man. I hope you stop and think about that.

The staff are very rude and condescending. Constantly complaining while offering no solution to any problem. They parked their cars in front of the loading dock and came oit to complain about us having to drive in front of their cars, sideways, on the loading dock because the trailer we were supposed to have wasn't available so we had to load my minivan up with the storage unit contents. Whats the point of a reservation anyways? I drove 900 miles from where I moved to to clean out my unit. I made a trailer rental reservation 30 days ahead of time and the day before im supposed to pick it up, they switch it to a later time that same day. I'm Never renting from uhaul again.

Very busy location. Employee turnover probably biggest problem. Helpful when there were problems; just had too much experience with problems. Confusion in record keeping, etc. They work hard, and can be nice, fix issues when they can. They MUST improve logistics. I called ahead a week in advance to reserve a storage unit for the 15ft truck I was renting. Then when I showed up they didn't have any record of my reservation and had sold out of the available size. They tried to offer me two smaller units but it wasn't enough to fit my materials. I had to search for a different storage unit elsewhere.

Added 24 hour access.... first access worked after hours... second access did not work...attempted contact with customer service they didn't have the ability to give me access, did not establish contact with the manager, and did not offer any type of compensation, they were no help... manager durrell middleton did not answer to help nor had alternate options to resolve the issue at the time of the dispute... Was not able to access MY stuff needed and caused anxiety attack with my autism. If you need storage I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere and don't do business with Mr. Middleton

Customer service was great at the storage location and it is a good deal with the first month free; however after the first month anything bigger than a 5 X 5 is very expensive. I will pay over $185/mn for my 10 X 10. The other problem I had with the physical location was how hot it was in the storage facility. The A/C was on but it felt very warm when we were moving our items in the unit. UHaul can make the temperature more comfortable for their movers in the facilities. Customer service on the phone was awful with long wait times, disconnection, drop off location confusion, and poor willingness to clear up the problem. Because of that I will not use UHaul again.

This was all a huge mess. I reserved (2) 15’x10’ storage units to arrive at the site and find (6) 5’x10’ units as if that is the same thing. Things do not fit as well into smaller areas, and they cost me more for the same space. The general manager of this location did nothing to make it better and I was unable to ever even get ahold of him. The general manager also seems to be a bit of a gate keeper so it is a bigger issue than it might otherwise be. The staff is super helpful when they have the power to be, but getting the proper price rate is not in their ability to provide. I failed to get ahold of him for 8 weeks while I was renting those 6 storage units. I was told that he was the only one that could honor the price I was quoted when reserving online. 6 office visits (he never works) and 3 unreturned voicemails later, I overpaid by a couple hundred dollars, so I don’t really care about how clean the facility or friendly the staff is, they can’t get it above average. You failed.

The manager had told me he would price match my unit. However, the process required a minimum of 3 calls a month to make payment due to all of the approvals I had to go through. I got lien notices almost every month due to the managers delay. I did not enjoy my time at uhaul. Probably won’t ever rent from uhaul again. I found storage rates at $66 for a indoor 10x10. Uhaul is $180/month.

First, Id like to say that the manager, Durrell, was awesome! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, each of the three times I encountered him, and he's the reason I'm choosing above average. One of those times, involved a problem. He was incredibly busy that day, but didn't let that affect his level of service. We pay attention to customer service. Good service can be so hard to find, especially when tips aren't involved. Honestly, 3 of the above questions should be made into two, because the facility can be secure, but not well lit. Staff can be helpful, but not friendly. A question pertaining to safety should be added as well. The code to access the building containing the storage unit did not work on either of the two occassions we needed to access the unit in the early evening.

For a few years, we were very satisfied with U-Haul. For the past few months, the security system has not been fully functional. We have not been able to have after-hours access and exits/entrances have not being fully monitored/tracked making us trust the security less than before. We found another facility with a jumbo storage unit equal to the size of our 2 large U-Haul units, costing $160 less per month than U-Haul, and with fully functioning security plus after-hours access. Unfortunately, U-Haul did not cancel our units when requested. We moved out, cleaned our units, removed our locks, and cancelled our units in early Feb 2021. It took repeated attempts through mid-March to get the charges and late fees to stop being charged to us. I rated overall experience "Average" based on our early years. Most of the staff are "Average" or lower and a few are "Poor" but there is one manager who is "Above Average" and he was very helpful to us. I'm sorry I can't remember his name.

Issue was that people parked truck in a way which took up two lanes/spaces in loading/unloading area/dock. When it was reported, noone made them correct it. We had to park on side of building and move everything from further away. 1.5 hrs of very Inconvenient moving as a result.

We had a death in the family on 11/24. We called before being billed for next month and asked if the month would be pro rates if we moved out 4 days late. We were told by GM we would get credit for the days from 12/5 to 12/29. When we went to the facility on 12/4 Durrell told us no proration was allowed. Very disappointed in the communication and lack of concern with regard to our situation. We called 800 number as directed by Durrell & they directed us back to him

Every time I've had dealings with this facility its been a train wreck . I purposely drive out of the way to patronize other stores rather than go here. Due to past experiences ,I prohibited my business from using this location since 2009. A sudden and temporary need during a recent move made using this location most convenient . Maybe it was just a fluke day, but again- train wreck. There was a new store manager starting and the tension was thick. The cashier wanted the new manager to process our order but he said he didn't know how. He didn't real seem interested in learning. She rolled her eyes and had obvious contempt for him. We were told the storage unit building was open until 10 and given an access code . I confirmed we would be able to access the unit after the office closed since we had required trips that would happen after 5pm. We were supposed to get an access card but was told the machine was down . When we returned later with a load of material ~5ish the entry code we had been given would not work. The manager was just leaving and was obviously distressed. I explained we had to get into the unit so we could complete our move. He said he didn't know how to get in and that he had had " a long day I wouldn't be able to understand". I explained that me not getting into my unit was not an option. He said he had master keys at home and it would take him 1.5 hrs to go get them . I tried to troubleshoot options with him asking who else may have keys, etc but he got very emotional and said in frustration " Fine! I'll go all the way home and get my keys !" then recklessly sped away from the lot. To quote my stoic 18 year old son who was helping me " That was CRAZY." I did receive a call about an hour later from the manager who informed me his assistant lived close by and would come let me in. This happened. THANK YOU . A gentleman on a motorcycle showed up and happily let me in. Very professional . He explained I was not only not given an access card, I was not given proper instructions on how to operate the security system. The delay resulted in my moving crew leaving , forcing me to complete the 3-man load by myself - about 4 hrs of solo work for me. As your manager complained to me about his day, he had no perspective that I had been up for about 27 hours at that point, working in the smoke filled summer heat , and had an 11 hour truck drive to complete before my day would be over. It wasn't a minor inconvenience. All told, not being able to get in my unit cost me about 6hrs and $225 in wasted labor. The insinuation by tone and body language that this was " my problem" is just the cherry on top of a horrible experience. The facility is nice, clean, safe, and conveniently located - yet every-time its a cringe worthy ordeal. 3 for 3. At least they are consistent. Around 2005 they made my 74 year old mother cry ( really) over a $12 lock she couldn't get the key to turn in due to a sticking mechanism. Then, in the last experience they smugly charged me an extra day rent on a truck for being 13 minutes late after i waited in line IN THEIR LOBBY for 50 minutes to return the keys. This is only the 4th customer survey I've completed for ANY business in the last 10-15 years. I would avoid this place like the plague.

It took us several trips to load our stuff into storage, When we took our stuff out, it took several loads also. On many of those occasions, we could not park because UHaul trucks were parked in the load/unload area. We had to ask for them to be moved each time. We think it is wrong for UHaul to use those places for truck parking. They should be left for the convenience of paying customers. The actual storage facilities were very clean and nice, but the parking situation was very frustrating.

I could tell they didn’t clean daily or even weekly because I spilled a teeny bit of glitter in the hall to test cleaning and it was there weeks later. The login pad had visible dirt, it was black. They eventually cleaned it, but especially during this virus, it should have been cleaned daily. Everytime I came it was super busy and people everywhere and it was almost impossible to find a spot to park 80% of the time. Might have been the timing. Not worth the price or location. Management was very great. Very nice and remembered who I was but nothing was worth the price when it was >$30 for the same size unit down the street. I moved out because of the inconvenience and the traffic. I still like U-Haul for their boxes and supplies but I’ll never store with a U-Haul again. Overpriced for sure. They wouldn’t give me a refund after 1/2 a month so I was forced to stay until my month was up. Sometimes I would walk through the dark and have to jump around for the light to turn on. It felt sketchy and I didn’t like being in the dark alone. There were times that I would be at my unit organizing and an alarm would sound down the hall and no one would be there.

I was charged twice and still have not received a refund. I had a receipt showing this and spoke with the main manager and he was so rude and aggressive. They charged me for my unit and another unit that I did not rent. The main manager then decided to put a lock on my unit so I couldn’t get my stuff. He said he was doing it just to “mess with me” I went back on a different day to speak with the assistant manager Les and he was the only one that helped me. He could see my unit was paid for and took the lock off. I’m still owed 69 dollars of over payment that the main manager refused to give me. With everything going on in the world and being treated so aggressively from the main manager makes me sick. The only nice person there they knows what he is doing is Les. I can’t remember if it’s Les or Lex but if it weren’t for him I would have been afraid to get my belongings because of how horrible the main manager was. It also not temperature controlled it was close to 90 degrees and I had an entire box of stuff ruined because of it. Frankly I would like the money extra money charged given back and a refund for the abuse I had to endure by the main manager with his picture on everything

Everything worked out but it seemed there were issues with the computer system or program. It was extremely slow. My original 10'x15' storage unit reservation disappeared when I cancelled the truck. However, the manager gave me a 10'x10' and an adjacent 5'x5' which worked out fine.
