This location is also well liked in the community - when I was moving out of my storage unit on Saturday, a long-standing customer brought donuts for the staff in the morning. One box was missing a lock and one box had the lock drilled out. staff was sarcastic and unprofessional. Location did not have forklift, had to use ramps, heavy loads were difficult. I have spent a lot of money with U-haul and this move was disappointing.

The checkout girl in Aurora CO acknowledged my concern about the gas not being full upon pick-up. I told her it was below 7/8, and she replied “she knew that, and it was reflected in my paperwork”. However, when we returned the truck in Wichita, the check-in person showed us that she had marked the checkout gas level as full! The check-in person in Wichita understood our problem and let us return it at 7/8, as we expected. Also, we were disappointed in finding that the truck had no USB ports, and we could not connect our phone to the radio/sound system.

Wait time is a joke. Just for a simple hitch install the form that comes with hitch states that professional install should take 20 mins. DYI install would take 45 mins. It took them over an hour while the installer kept walking back and forth to his office. The video shows only 6 bolts that need to be install. Their customer service and Wait time was a joke. I paid for the install thinking it would save me time but instead cost me more money and time.

they are unprofessional. having 3-4 people behind the counter. one of them was with another customer and the rest of them ignoring completely and finally saying " what you need"? even then the guy asked me couple questions and then went to the back an simply disappeared until someone else came to assist. And while trying to rent a truck, they made me give them a reference of someone they called to see if I'm a good guy or whatever. It's really unprofessional. I hated the experience.

great expereince from start to finish and best price for long distance moving. I would recommend making it clearer on when movers need to be hired to get the ubox to and from a location if no help is required on loading or unloading.

Price eneded up 30% higer then quoted and the reservation was almost canceled by local staff due to us been two hours late for pick up (minimum charge is 5 days so not sure way cancel when the renter is arriving later then planned ??). Overall too expensive and would not rent again.

Other uhaul locations have had the marijuana smell in the store. I like the Abilene store best. Management should make alternate options when the computers go down -- it took 45 minutes to check a vehicle out (even though I had reservations). Maybe go back to paper documents when computers are not working.

Truck was very dirty, inside smelled like sweat and funk. Employees are very lax and unprofessional. One agent stopped to answer a personal phone call while helping someone at the counter while there were at least 3 others in line. Check in took WAY too long, but for some reason 2/3 employees were no where to be found, and desk guy never bothered to ask them for help or to send someone to process multiple check ins waiting outside. Receipt took forever to get back due to inefficient processing and trying to check in multiple vehicles at once instead of one by one and finishing each record before starting a new one.

This UHaul facility was the BEST out of every other one we had to go to. The workers were clean and nicely dressed. The facility was neat, organized, well maintained and again it was wery clean. It was the only Uhaul facility that presented itself in such a manner out of all the others we had to go to and we were truly surprsed and very impressed. The Service Manager was all around AWESOME as well and it was obvious that the workers followed his stellar example!! We're very glad to do business there. 🙂

I had set up an account and reserved a unit online, but chose to complete the process in person. The team member who checked me in was knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant. She explained each step of the process. I was very impressed with her professionalism. She then took me around to the entrance, showed me both card readers and then escorted me to my unit. Definitely a first-class operation.

I rented a unit for the 24 hour access. I went at 11pm denied access. I was told it was fixed and no access. told again fixed. no access. again and again. most times i went in about the issue i had to wait 20+ minutes. i spent numerous hours trying to get this issue resolved and lost income by not being able to access the things i needed. . It was NEVER resolved. i am thoroughly disappointed in the facility.

Not only excellent with the storage but renting the truck to move in and out U-Haul knows that moving is never easy but they help you every step it away makes it a breeze so glad they are around I needed covers for my Mattress and Furniture I needed boxes tape they had it all and if you don't need some of the boxes or even if you haven't opened up the plastic bags you can bring everything back

In the last row near 1229, the lights did not turn on. There was a mess up with checking me out of one unit and into another.

The man couldn't get my reservation correct and didn't give me access to start unloading. Then I was checked out of the wrong unit and it took over 45 minutes to get things corrected from the errors made on uhaul's end. No apologies were given at all.

The assistant manager initially told me no free month was available. I showed her my email offer as well as told her that the Colfax manager had called when I rented my van to ensure a space was available, and it was on speaker phone so I heard Rodney confirm that it was. The assistant manager was adamant, but in the end she gave it to me. More importantly, she is not the best face for U-Haul: she indicated she did not like her job very much and could not wait to find another. She was organized and great with the system, but given all of the good experiences I have had with U-Haul, she was definitely a sour note at the end of a busy moving day.

Only ran into an issue the first night with the security door. With the access information provided no access was granted called after hours which didn’t provide any assistance stated they will try contacting the facility manager never heard back from anyone

The owner Rodney was awesome and courteous. The assisting staff was the definition of professional and respectful. The facility was clean, units available without a reservation. I’m happy with the overall location of this property and my choices to choose them. Disappointed that the trailer leaked water on my couch when it rained and I have to replace it now. Luckily there’s insurance for that.

The only complaint I have is the lady I talked to said, the truck had a quarter of a tank, make sure you bring it back that way. Well,I only had to drive it to public storage down the street and back. The gas needle never move from the time I got it,till the time I brought it back. The lady checking me out said, it had moved 5/8 of a tank now you need to fill it up are give me 60 dollars. Well being disabled, I was hurting so bad I just paid the money. It was much easier. This is the only complaint that I have. M

Everything was great except I don't like the process of taking pictures of my drivers license to upload into the system and a picture of me being taken. I like to keep things private and personal but that process with technology doesn't make me feel safe. That's why I had to give a lower rating.

Desk staff was super friendly and joking. Really appreciated the easy atmosphere they provided. Very clean facility. Great security system and access to my unit. It was raining when I moved in and having an indoor area to unload the truck was awesome. Unlike some storage facilities, they have many points of entry, so even if your unit is deep in the facility, it’s not too far of a walk to get loaded. Great pricing too! And no homeless folks living in the units like my last place had!

I rented a unit in the same transaction as my truck which was convenient. Got to facility and didn't know how to get in. Called uhaul again this time to find out I can't get in after hours without doing the "buy it now" through storage facility website. Did this, got keypad code through text. Entered it at door, door opened, went in, alarm went off. Did this 2 times not understanding why. 15 minutes later received email telling me I need to enter it at 2 different keypads, neither of which are named on the wall what the email calls it. Finally figured it out. The exit door says to alarm your unit upon exit. I have no idea what this means or how to do it. Looked through all.of my emails and signs on wall, but didn't see anything. Would suggest some more clear signage on your walls that match emIl communication.

The facility is very nice. My room is very convenient. I appreciate free service. The staff could have been a bit more helpful. There were several distractions that other employees were doing, causing a delay in me getting settled. I felt the rep should have told peers to wait until the customer was done being served. The peers need training so they can stand on their own instead of bombarding the other rep. Overall, it was an ok experience.

Jerry was professional, friendly, helpful and proactive. He helped me with the truck, tow and storage. The cashier that waited on me was professional, nice, friendly, just fabulous customer service skills. She provided me with all the information I needed on the storage unit after realizing I needed a bigger unit which she upgraded for me and even offered to show me where it was. Great team! I liked the way they interacted with each other. Great team work.
