JENNIFER TMy original pick up location did not have pig tail so I couldn’t get my trailer there. They said I need to do a new search myself. I asked the woman to call around on my behalf so my reservation could be fulfilled. She did after the ask and I had to drive 20 min away to go pick it up w a pig tail. Jeremy DWe’ve been using all services at this location for months. We’ve had 4 storage units, inside and outside storage which are very well kept. We have rented and returned trailers here several times and the staff are exceptional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this location.
RANDALL CSan Bernardino was a veritable s-show with unreliable service. I was expecting the same in Knoxville, but the TN folks knocked my socks off. Totally responsive, I was able to talk to the same rep who lived up to her name (Joy). Everyone was quick and efficient, and I got a good sense they care about their job and the people they are helping. Nothing but good things to say about the Knoxville team. Great work.

ALAN HI used the after-hours return/check-in on my iphone. My only issue is it took about 10 minutes to go through the process. The primary issue was the processing of pictures during the check-in process. I checked my cell service and I had 4-5 bars of service, but each picture took close to 60 seconds to process. As I remember I needed to take 6-7 pics. So this was the slowest part of the process.

Gregory FI was overcharged. The running day rate was 29.95 and then with the miles driven which was about 30 and the fuel being 50 , I was charged 140. It was returned early as well. The equipment was good, the customer service on drop off day was poor.

Fantashia B | Overall ExperienceHalf way thru moving in, the elevator broke down. Still with more than 1/2 the large moving truck still full, no way to be able to get items to third floor. This caused my movers stuck on third floor for a bit and then me having to rent another unit on bottom floor to keep me from paying 195 an hour while waiting on elevator to be fixed. By the time it was fixed (prob 2hours later, my mover had it finally moved in on first floor unit. This was so frustrating. I ended up paying at least an hour of wasted time due to this and had to rent another unit. I now have 2 10x10 units on third floor and 1 on bottom. I really feel some compensation should be credited me. The 3 workers up front were not helpful and didn’t know how long it would be or where the elevator people were coming from. The place is beautiful, clean and climate controlled, but lacking customer service BIG TIME

EDWARD Zas much as i use uhaul ( you can check) i wont ever rent a pickup from you again. The closest location that had a pickup was 20 miles away . you have trucks with 19.95 a day written all over them for advertisement. Then when customer goes in its 79 cents a mile so i had huge charge on just picking up and bringing back the truck comparatively i wanted a pickup cause was easier in work i was going to do turned out to be big mistake instead of van closer to my house disappointed! price for 5 hrs of truck over 100 would have been better go to rent car.

Hang L | Overall ExperienceI utilized this storage facility for 2 1/2 years and the staff was very supportive during the move out. The only issue I have is that U-Haul doesn’t refund rental payments on a prorated basis unless they terminate your rental agreement. In my case, I was charged for a month’s storage on December 22nd; however, I moved out December 28th with no credit for the remaining 3 weeks of my rental period. This is clearly outlined in the rental agreement, so I am not claiming a violation, but rather offering an opinion based upon reasonable expectation from other rental industries, such as cars and hotels, which allow adjustments to timeframe and refund accordingly.

SIDNEY CI legit see no room for improvement. I was in and out in 3 minutes. The guy who helped me was super efficient and friendly, and got me on the road very quickly. The truck worked flawlessly, and check in took about 60 seconds. Estimated price ended up being only about $1 off, so excellent estimation on their part. Give these guys raises.

One of your other staff members was utterly distasteful, reeked of cigarette smoke, and extremely unprofessional! My fiancée and I staged our belongs on the loading dock where we had our rental truck and left it there overnight because we saw someone else doing the exact same thing. We had no idea that we couldn't store our belongings there until we were able to move it all into storage. Mind you now, we are paying customers for two storage units totaling over $300! Elah Henry came up to my fiancée and I in a very snotty, condescending, and aggressive tone telling us we couldn't do that. She lied and said people were asking if it was for free(even though the free items were on the other side of the automatic door) and that she wasn't responsible for anything getting taken. We explained to her that we both work full time jobs and had our children to look after so we were kind of pressed. She didn't care at all and proceeded to be very nasty to us still. On top of that, after we gather the items up and put them in the unit, she relayed the information to a coworker and was using explicitives to get her point across to her coworker. If this is how you conduct business, you have just lost a customer at the Karns location in Knoxville, TN for life! If you are going to be unprofessional about things and say things about customers, at least have the DECENCY to not do it in ear shot of the PAYING CUSTOMER!

This was not made clear in any of the instructions provided and caused an issue when attempting to move out since it was after the office hours for the day and there were no staff on site. Would definitely recommend adding something to make that more clear. I also want to thank the kind staff member who attached an additional lock when they noticed the one on the unit was not secure. I truly appreciate it!

But when I arrived, the guy looked at my like I had three eyes when I told him I'd reserved a unit on the first floor, saying something like "Oh we don't have anything like that on the first floor." I reluctantly agreed to accept a second floor unit, but when we went up to see it, it was two separate 5x10 units. 🤦♂️ I will minimize the time I need this unit, rather these units (i.e., I will be getting my stuff out asap) and do not expect to use U-Haul sotrage next time I need a unit.

The new women there is a liar.

I have used storage in Nashville before moving here and there is non that compare with this one. This location is superior to anywhere I’ve been. I definitely give the location and its staff a 10 out of 10. I tell everyone I know about them. Both of my daughters live here and are site managers of 3 large apartment complexes and I have them tell their tenants about your services in case one of them needs storage or a moving vehicle. You really need a flyer that can be put in welcome packages at locations like this.

The problem with this facility is faulty doors that do not work. At times the lights when you went up the hallway on 3rd level did not come on. Also, the front staff really needs to be trained. They make so many mistakes. They have messed on on my address, phone number, and have even given me another person’s contract with all their personal information. I had to take it back. They never say hello when people walk in and never say, “ What can we assist you with.” Many times you can’t find anyone in the front office. I don’t think I will ever use this location again. When I online at the Alcoa Uhaul site I rented a second unit. As well I rented a van from Uhaul again! When I went to Alcoa storage to move into my larger unit 2100 it didn’t exist!? The online app didn’t tell me the 5x8x10 unit was in another city! I had a van full and couldn’t access new unit because I didn’t have 24hr access!! It’s bad enough I had to drive more miles and hours of use on Uhaul van I only had last night to move before leaving for a funeral in Tampa! I now have my wardrobe 40 minutes apart in 2 separate units and was unable to complete my move in to meet my needs of packing my clothes for this trip! The customer service phone center is absolutely useless! No help, no solutions only supportive responses and reflection of feeling! The van was returned and when I return from Tampa I will now have to rent a 3rd van because of the online booking leading me to believe I’d booked another unit at the Alcoa airport location which is where I needed everything under one roof

However after 4 months I opened my storage unit to find everything covered in mold. All of my personal belongings are ruined. It is devastating to lose everything you own especially when you’ve paid over $100 a month to keep it safe. This is the worst experience I have had in my life.

While moving the items out noticed that most of them had mold growing . This was supposed to be a climate controlled unit. When I inquired the clerk said they had an issue with a fan being out for some time and it was recently fixed, but the facility was still extremely humid and warm. I was handed a brochure and told to call the number. Not impressed at all on the maintenance and climate controlled price.

My unit was on the right side with a narrow passage to drive down but no way out. There was water pooled up outside unit as well. Did not give me a very secure feeling so I left. My daughter called the Karns location and talked to Will who was awesome! I got there and it was a complete different experience. The assistant manager was so helpful and knowledgeable and handled my unit change and my drop off location change. All the employees working there were on it! Very courteous. After moving and driving , it made the end of my day so much better! And the employees really seemed to like their jobs and it showed! I would recommend this location for sure . My unit was very nice as well

LEA M | First ImpressionsThe facility is meets my needs and expectations but a couple of recommendations to improve the experience...do not allow people to leave their unwanted items at the entrance to the loading doors. We had to move several items just to get the carts through. You ran out of toilet paper in one of your bathrooms...change out dispensers to facilitate larger rolls or provide housekeeping coverage to ensure the bathrooms are resupplied and cleaned more frequently, to include weekends. The elevator is painfully slow. I'm sure you hear this all the time and there is nothing you can do about it now that the building is finished...but recommend you give feedback to corporate that they should pay a little extra in the initial design and construction of a building to provide multiple elevators that operate at a higher velocity.

The first month was free and since I did only stay three weeks I liter Only paid a $10 fee for 24 hour Axcess you can’t beat it!!

From what I understood, it was just a computer issue. Although it was inconvenient, it happens to anybody who works with any kind of computer system, so I wasn’t too upset. I went back to that one the next morning and they actually didn’t have any more units in the size I needed, so they sent me to this store. The gentleman that helped(I didn’t catch his name but he was life saver!!!) me went above and beyond to help accommodate me because of the mix up. Super super super appreciative of all of his help! Excellent customer service!!!
