They understood that my unit was due on the 27th of each month but I did not get my old age pension until the third last banking day at the end of each month.I know that this was not there fault that I always paid the late fee.I really had to thank them.

It would have been double the expense to be able to level the trailer where we were going there should be some sort of thoughtfulness not to be so expensive since the equipment travels in both directions across Canada.
FAITH BPositive comment here… the app is A plus, it gave me a simple place to check my agreement, dates etc and provided a super efficient method when I needed service driving across Canada !! Got a flat tire on the trailer and submitted via the app… and fixed at 9pm

SCOTT MI initially had a huge issue at this location. I had booked a 10 foot uhaul for 9am on Sat, April 13 but was told on the Friday that it wasn't available after all. They did find me a truck though eventually and I greatly appreciate that.

COOPER MThe computer system was not working correctly, and the transaction had to be entered three times, with my card. No "cancelled" receipt was provided, which made me nervous. The whole place looked like it was rocketing along on a wing and a prayer. When the problems occurred the employee I was dealing with just rolled his eyes and said "Welcome to Uhaul." The truck itself was fine, but I'll be looking for extra transactions on my credit card bill.

RAHULSINGH RHad to put down a security, was told it would be put straight back in my account on return, it wasn't . Now I'm waiting on a cheque that they said would be 4-6 weeks, it's been 8 so far as no cheque. Was given a drop-off location, not the one we wanted. He one we wanted was not shown in the computer, although they are a uhaul dealer, the one they told us to drop at is apparently closed in the winter.

ROBERT MDid a one way trip approx. 400km. Needed to tow my small car home. Rented a truck and car carrier, they gave me a small 10' moving truck as the Uhaul dealer was remote area and couldn't let their pickup truck leave with a no return. But the small moving truck pulled my car with the carrier very well and was not hard on fuel. $100 cdn for 400km towing a car is pretty good fuel consumption to me. The car carrier was perfect and easy to use with all 4 wheels off the ground. Over all, I was pleased with my rental with Uhaul.

COLIN BMake sure that the trucks are ready to go. Also go back to the way you used to do it with the gas. Pick it up with a full tank of gas and drop it back off with a full tank of gas. Much simpler. Thank you.

CAMERON MThe shocks were shot and the back hadn't been swept. The gas was "full" but not all the way so I put in much more than I used. Your automated booking system is crap and just made the whole experience more stressful and difficult and ensures I won't use your services again. The employee I dealt with was lovely though. She was the bright spark in an otherwise dismal experience.
TIMOTHY MWhen we entered we were asked to do all the process by app instead of doing in person just so that they don’t have to work on their own. We couldn’t do it on app and the lady decided to help us. She never asked us that if we wanted additional insurance just added that to our bill without us knowing. We even cancelled the additional $16 insurance when we booked it on uhauls website.

MARTIN SWe dropped the truck off the night before , very pushy in the morning about the key return . Which we were bringing back, we were on our way. We were called back to back constantly on two phones and to pay the extra money owing. Also found the lock at the back did not work.
GLENN PFirst time getting a car dolly from location. Staff are excellent as always. The dolly needs work. Could not get the tire straps loose. Luckily I brought my own rachet straps.

MARK SDouble check rental details and ensure all equipment is present. I had to ask for the appliance dolly (which was requested in my original rental request) as it was not in/on my truck when first picked up. Ensure vehicles have a minimum 1/2 tank before renting to anyone. My vehicle only had 1/8 tank of gas, meaning I had to take extra time to fuel up before my move. I understand I only needed to return the truck with the same 1/8 tank, but my time was limited before the move, not so much after.
LUCIEN RRob was fantastic. My car broke down and was in a pinch, and was able to set me up with a good priced van to get me to Ottawa and back. Will definitely be renting from this location again!
mike nProvide parking for customers' vehicles or arrange with nearby (within walking distance) local businesses to use some of their parking spots. Customer service was not good. Everything needs to be done on the app which isn't always feasible for everyone. Some persons have learning disabilities and require further assistance in person. Also, from a tech perspective downloading apps is becoming a thing of the past. Make your website a web app that is more current and user-friendly. To sign contacts why not use unique QR codes instead?

The app said access to locker was 0500-2200 so we were there just before 1700. 2 nights in a row there was a heavier set lady working and she was outside and all she kept saying was is your access 24 hrs? She did not actually come up and have a proper conversation with us. Just basically speaking loudly out in yard. I was unsure of 24hr access but was going by app. She wanted name and locker number making us feel like we were causing disruption to something we knew nothing about. Not professional in sorting anything out or taking time to properly discuss. Locker location and acess and use of carts and the in/out using our code was otherwise just fine.

Deep P | Overall ExperienceMy storage locker was robbed twice. I lost around 2k worth of stuff (a bike, and some electronics). I have insurance on my Peterborough locker, so I thought I had insurance on this one because I didn't sign an agreement here until after I was robbed- so I assumed it was under the same agreement. Since I don't have insurance here, I'm just out of luck, and I lost all those possessions. No follow up from the manager, no credits given, they wouldn't even show me the video. The staff was nice, but largely ineffective, and didn't take any ownership over the problem. Honestly, the Peterborough U-Haul compared to Kingston is night and day in terms of quality.

Micheal B | First ImpressionsI found one girl very rude and ignorant has no clues on customer care especially when we leave money into your paychecks, I was told I'd give that one extra day to remove a bed out of my storage facility they went and put a lock on it and I had to pay an extra month where I lost my keys on 16th had to get a locksmith then that my van broke down cost me $600 to remove my bed that includes the extra $100 fee for an extra month I did not need I went the next day to remove my bed out of the storage locker and there was a lock on the door and the gentleman would not remove it I told the girl never to speak to me again in the phone she speaks with I find some stuff including the manager extremely rude to the people who put a paycheck pockets the manager should have gave me the extra day to remove the bed then the locker would have became available to rent to others, I'm not impressed with the conduct of one girl and one or two staff members there they need to improve their customer relations8

I do not see how paying 216.00 is worth being locked out of my unit the next day, this needs to be remedied or I will leave the facility and find somewhere else to use for storage. I also found it a bit challenging accessing the entrance for unloading/loading. Access cards would be so much handier than walking-in the main office when staff are often so busy or not available.

I live 7 hours away so needed to speak to someone at the facility. I called at least 40 times at different times and no one ever answers the phone. It goes to the call center. The wait time can be an hour to speak to someone and then they are unable to answer the question because they are not at the facility. I even tried speaking to my local uhaul to see if they could get through. The answer was no. Even though it is a pandemic, I think the local phone should be answered. Thanks
