Kaydance CRather than assuming the customer knows how the equipment works, it might be a good idea to provide an overview of the equipment. For example, how to connect and disconnect a tow dolly correctly.

I pulled up to the trailer and they told me to go park, go inside and sign forms I already had online, answer questions I already had online, present the cards I already had online... please move into the 21st century!!
Michael GThe overall service was great, but I received a call from someone who spoke to me in a very disrespectful and rude manner. He even hung up on me during the conversation. He was upset because I was supposed to return the truck on Wednesday, April 30th, but I had clearly informed the lady at the rental location that I wouldn’t be able to return it until May 3rd, as I didn’t have access to my rental property until then. I extended my U-Haul rental for that reason, and the man was extremely rude, telling me the truck was already booked for someone else. I remained polite throughout the conversation, but he did not show me the same respect. This is not the first time I’ve rented a truck from U-Haul, and I’ve never had an experience like this before. Unfortunately, I can’t remember his name, but the number he called from was +1 (303) 922-8914. His customer service was unacceptable. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Juan MThe people at this location are stellar. U-Haul sucks ass, and here is why. I selected "Go to desk" and still was asked to use the app when people were there and they were clearly capable of helping me. This was a HUGE hassle since I had to use the webpage. Don't ask me to use an app. Ever. I'm a f**king millennial and am very tech savvy, and this was just dumb. To add insult to injury, when I returned the truck, someone was there at the drop-off spot cleaning vans and I STILL had to check myself in using the QR code and webpage. Their explanation was that U-Haul wants people to use the app. Well, U-Haul can suck an egg, because that is shitty. I won't ever use U-Haul again.
Robert NThe rental truck itself was fine and got the job done and they do have a lot of trucks to use. That being said, the check in process is incredibly difficult! I almost hadn't brought my phone with me and I guess there would have literally been no way to check in if it weren't for this. I was picking up a truck for a friend which we were told over the phone would be fine - but it took an hour. I was told over and over again that this process is done so that you can pick up a truck when no employees are there (like a middle of the night pickup), but I strongly feel that the employees in person should be able to get you through the process without a phone. This is a really strong example of technology making a process inefficient. Digital check in should be option when there are employees present. This is the only U-Haul location where I have experienced this - it was very frustrating and all of it took literally an hour. The employees did help when they could, but they also seemed lost, their technology is a bit run down, and it was just a real let down that the final answer every time came down to having to check in on my phone. Not efficient and I can't imagine how this would go down for someone who doesn't have a smart phone or good camera quality.

I’m standing in the store waiting to check out for 6 minutes while the very nice customer service person is just sitting there waiting also. Complete waste of my time! Also the credit card information I listed online was not the card that was charged, I don’t even know how the system got my debit card number because it’s a brand new number. That charge almost over drew my account. Lame!!

Harley BGet new staff the lady at the counter was the absolute worst person I have ever delt with. I was already having a bad morning and expressed that to her so she took it upon her self to make sure it was worse.
SABRINA GStaff told me that if I didn't do the after hours procedure return, they would just let me sit in the sun for up to an hour before bothering to take the return in person.
Luke BI was not informed that this location is a ‘mobile’ site. The pick-up for my truck took over an hour which is kinda ridiculous. I tried to check in online and was told by the Manager Brittany I was doing it wrong. However it took her a couple minutes to get my reservation ready to check in.

JOSEPH BI had the hitch installed as discussed. It was done in less than 2 hours as promised and a good job was done. The installer wanted to switch to a different type of harness for the wiring. I was told that it would arrive the next morning and be installed as soon as I drove down again. I called in the morning and they said it hadn't arrived. I called again at 1pm and they said it had arrived at 8:30 am and it could not be installed since they didn't have an installer. And that they were told that I was making another appointment for a different day. I was told no such thing. Now I had to go to a different installer or wait many days for the wiring there. Not happy. Very Poor customer service on the wiring. So average.

PEGGY DReceived call from Brittany asking if I would be able to return truck same day. When I went in to pickup truck computer system was die. Scheduled to pick up @ 9am. Finally left after 10am. I was originally going to do a one way. When I agreed to drive truck back I told her I wasn’t to be charged mileage both ways and she adamantly said that was correct and I wouldn’t be charged. When I got my receipt, I called and she was out. Management meeting. I called back next day, she was out again. I left message with Veronica. Never received call back. I told Veronica (Ronnie) I expected them to keep their word!!! Very disappointed and I will not use them again. This was added stress along with the stress of moving! We hurried to unload truck and drive back that evening!!! Not good customer service and lack of return call is unacceptable.
PAMELA MI would not have chosen this location if the mobile only procedure had been clear online. I want help from a person, not to do it all on my phone.

Carlos ZRented a 10 ft truck yesterday that did not have the basic review completed on it. Checked it out just before dusk and stopped for dinner on the way home. Then got back in the vehicle and drove through our neighborhood and almost hit a lady walking her dog! She didn’t see me and I could barely see her. Turns out one light was out and the other very dim and pointing to the side. I could have killed or seriously injured her. I called their emergency services number and they sent a technician out and he confirmed how dangerous it was to drive at night under those conditions. When I brought the truck back to the facility the individual who met me said “That truck was fine when it was checked out” I told him he was wrong and that I didn’t burn out both bulbs on my 4 miles drive home! Then he concedes and says “Well, we only check 90% of them when they come in” Since these vehicles operate on state roads everyone of them must be up to state safety regulations! Otherwise some may get seriously injured or killed. It is THEIR responsibility to ensure customers are safe while using their vehicles. Please do not rely on them to only do a 90% check. It’s not being done!

Zane NThe equipment wasn't inspected last time it Was turned in. We had heck of a time getting the straps pulled out so we could use them at midnight. A couple drops of oil on the come-along would have been nice also. Last time I was in U-haul was to drive someone else's rental. This time in U-haul i was told I couldn't rent unless I paid the other persons outstanding bill. But I didn't rent .I was simply the driver.

RYAN KUhaul went above and beyond by not charging me what they could have and changed my 6-day rental and 1-day extension with an estimated 100 miles and ended up putting about 800 on. At $1+/mile that would've cost me an additional $800+! Instead they changed my contract to the weekly rental and I only ended up owing them $154. They didn't have to do that but did it. I'm hurting right now and this helped me tremendously. I appreciate uhaul by not being greedy like other companies. Thank you so very much.

ROBERT DThe manager has created a problem when there was not. Inconsideration with me. I rented for extra days due to the weather condition. Really cold n snow. N she wanted me to return the truck. If I'm willing to pay extra more days then they shouldn't have a problem.. so ridiculous

MARK WI rented a van for a week and they charge me exactly what they said, but when I needed to keep it for another day, I called and asked how much extra it would be...they said $42, but when I received the invoice, it was more than double of what they said. I never even paid hat much for one day 60 miles. I would avoid using uhaul because they like to lie to you
BRIAN FHonestly nothing. I think you all as a company have stream lined this process right over most (mine 'specially) folks heads. Bonkers you can just walk up and rent a truck 24/7. Didn't do that. But a read a sign, after I neglected to read a sign and walked inside to drop off a truck. Listened to the professional at the desk kindly explain the drop off process to a patron ahead of me in line; walking out with my head held in the same position it is found normally. Not at all surprised, I was in fact just an idiot... I in fact, didn't read the sign(S).

BRYAN SIt's been a while since I last rented a Uhaul vehicle. I found the mobile app to be a tedious process when checking out and then checking in the vehicle. It would have been much quicker had the service reps at the location simply helped with this. She did assist me with the app when I had a few questions with it. Also, the vehicle was not in good shape. The driver's side visor was broken, which the reps knew about. So why wasn't a different vehicle provided to me? All in all, I was a bit disappointment with this experience.
