Trucks not maintained- then told air blowing is not required. Well I will not rent trucks that blowing air inside are not a normal. On top of two hours to get a call back, then causing you to pay for another day. Horrible horrible horrible

Rachel BEverything's okay but see I need I was using the U-Haul cuz moving my garage cuz you know I own a business I travel a lot and you know I had to move I had to travel the truck was perfectly safe parked in my lot I paid for it and then on actually the last day that I the last day that I've paid for it the lady called me and said I had to redo my card because she couldn't charge it I said okay and I hung up the phone and she charged me 75 bucks so I don't know if that's a round number that you guys have but yeah so kind of ripped off but so I got called out of town either way and then next I know she she threatened to call the cops on me is that the kind of his business you guys do I mean that was a little bit unprofessional I think but I return the truck the next day but you know that one I got back took it back guess what didn't get my stuff done so now I was not satisfied honestly you should give me my money back and been I should charge you for storage of your vehicle but yeah so that's what's going to happen when I see the receipt I'm sure it's going to be great

I could have kept the unit for another 20 days. When I brought this up , the rep was uncaring and said I could not reopen the rental for the remaining days without signing up for new service. I rented a 15-ft truck to carry some lumber and sofas. What I got was a 12-ft truck. When I asked the rep about it she said the Granny's attic counts for the extra 3 ft. This is nonsense. The space above the cab is relatively useless and does not measure 3 ft. This is false advertising in a big way. It's not good to mislead and not inform customers of their options. My experience at U-Haul was the opposite of customer satisfaction.

My only concern was the lack of flat bed cstmrts available to transport our belongings from car to rental space and vice versa. There used to be 2 flat bed carts about renters. The last month or so, we noticed that once of the carts was missing. Despite this, the staff were kind enough to let us use the large orange "shopping cart" in order for us to move our belongings from the large storage unit we had almost emptied to a smaller unit that we needed just for one month. Apparently, another renter has either stored it in their unit or stole it. A replacement would be a good idea for such a large facility.

However, there were MULTUPLE occasions where I was locked out of my storage unit for 5-9 days (after catching up my past due balance) You see when I get behind on my payments yall have no issue locking me out of my unit, so I would think that once yall take my money to catch my account up current that SHOULD grant me access to my unit shortly after office hours begin. But that has not been my experience. Not to mention there was one time about 6 months ago, I went to put some things in my unit and I was greeted by a handwritten sign that told me (and everyone else in that climate controlled building) that my 24 hour access was being temporarily suspended sorry for the inconvenience. I was NOT notified of said suspension or reasoning for doing so. Every time I was unlawfully denied access to my unit I brought the issue up with management and not one time was my account credited for such inconveniences. I may not be a general manager or anything but I would said that's just BAD BUSINESS especially since the property is so well maintained.

Tyler helped me get a lock and I knew I couldn’t get one like he said I needed. The latch on the shed I rented needs to be fixed. It doesn’t slide easily. I cut my finger trying to get it slid over. Tyler put zip ties on the door so I could pull the door down. Otherwise I never would have been able to get the door closed . I’m only 5’ tall. Theresa W | Online Move InThere is construction going on and the road to get in is limited and tight almost unable to get in with truck and trailer or 5th wheel due to the parking spots by entrance into gated storage used for trailer parking - if those spaces were blocked for non usage would make it easier. And less stressful. Another tight area inside camper parking is some of the vehicles in spots are sticking out of parking spots - making it hard to maneuver- it’s cars that have flat tires and don’t move. Otherwise our experience has been wonderful!!!

In the year and 4 months I rented, I had issues with the yard being frequently unsecure sometimes overnight, issues with access to the lot being dropped from the advertised 24 hours to 12, issues with people living in dilapidated trailers next to my space and literally using the parking lot as a dumping area for human waste, and issues with what was supposed to be included electricity in the space being limited to less than 2 hours a day. UHaul should have been able to do a better job than what was experienced.

SHARON D | Overall ExperienceWhen my husband and I rented a truck to move our stuff to our new garage, the floor panel in front of the ramp was sprung loose upon initial inspection by husband, which was a serious tripping hazard as we carried in and out boxes. The Sunday staff was friendly and gave us some tools in case the dipping, loose panel interfered with getting the ramp back up, but there was no mechanic on site to fix it. Also the truck was rented without it being in good shape. If we had tripped carrying boxes, it could have been serious. I think the error in judgment would have been the mechanic's who cleared the truck for rental. The office staff was friendly, helpful and they called the home office when the main entry storage doors would not open after 9AM. They even let me fill up my water bottle at their sink after loading the truck on a hot day. Our stuff was in good shape due to the climate and pest control of this clean facility. Even the bathroom was clean.

If I could give any recommendation it would be this: When I'm in my unit sorting thru things the lights only stay on for a certain amount of time. Then I'm left in the dark and have to walk out of my unit down the isle a bit for them to come back on. If I'm in the unit for a bit of time I have to do walk down the isle multiple times. I'm not sure how this could be corrected but it make me as a woman a bit nervous. Thank you!!

Place used to be not kept very well, we found evidence of mice infestation and had to discard a bunch of possessions in our upstairs units last year. There was also a roof leak that caused damage to some of our things. When reported, we got kind of an attitude of "oh well". Things have changed for the positive, but your prices have driven us away.

There was a pipe/sprinkler head going through it so no way could it be 6' of storage in height. The day I rented it there was another customer screaming and ranting with another customer I thought someone was going to be killed. I just shut my unit and left and never went back until I got what little I had out. Did not feel safe there. The hallway where my storage "closet" was housed was so dark you had no light inside the unit. Every time I went there the automatic entrance doors to the storage unit were kept open also so not very secure.

Jerry L | First ImpressionsThe move out date was on the 15th not the 17th. I cleaned and moped the unit myself for the next occupant. The unit moved to from 1323 was dirty ams not well maintained. I have been trying to get one of the biggest units uhaul has instead of three individual ones and paying 400 a month but always told none is available that offer electricity with them. I have paid out alot of money to u haul using the storage and moving trucks and van without any comprise toward the cost of my units or on the trucks. I'm not especially happy with this company for the way things are done or handled and the customer goes above and beyond to try and accomplish what they need from this company. It should be this company doing it for the customer. Not enough employees to cover issues, customers always having to wait, phones not being answered hardly ever. No accomedations for what the customer is looking for. Unable to directly speak with someone from a corporate stance who can deal with the issues. Just overall problems that should be adressed and worked on. Staff is over worked and not allowed enough time to interact with the customer to full fill their needs and wants. Due to lack of people, guidance and training. These issues should be addressed asap as well as accomidating what the customer needs. Call backs from a message left at the uhaul on an issue would.be a good start.

My experience with everyone i have talked with at "this location" has been great however my initial booking was done through someone who answered the phone outside the location - customer service i guess..... and she booked me with something that wasn't available. Had I not called later and spoken with people on site i would have not had storage on moving day and would have never used uhaul again. Again, not the fault of the people at the location but maybe in the bigger uhaul network.

William M | Overall ExperienceI'm very disappointed in my transaction earlier today. On 9/27 I called to see about moving from my 5x5 unit to a larger unit. Unfortunately, I can't find my notes to identify who I talked to, but my call log notes a 17min call. The gentleman that I was working w/ was very pleasant. I decided on a 10x10 units for $100 +tax per mo. He said he put the reservation in, and since I'd just paid the bill on the 5x5 unit, he said that I had til the end of the billing cycle to move out of the 5x5 and into the 10x10 otherwise I'd then have to pay for both units. Understood. I also inquired about prorating the bill for the 5x5 for the unused days from whatever day I ended up moving out. He said "Yep, we will prorate the unused days and credit it to the cost of the new unit" Awesome, Sounds great! FFwd to today..No unit reserved, no 10x10's available, I ended up with an 8x11 (that doesn't look like 8x11, but I'll be measuring to check), it requires 2 locks instead of 1, and the $10/$15 round lock we HAD to have for the 5x5 doesn't fit on these locks, so now that's useless. Then when I went to tell them that the 5x5 was cleaned out, I get a Move Out receipt for $0.00. When I inquired about proration, I was told, "U-haul doest do that, sorry." If I'd have know that, I wouldn't have busted my butt to swap units. Not that it's your problem, but I work 6.5 nights out of 7 per week and my son works days. This was the first time we were able to work out schedules to get this done. Only to have it turn into this. Hindsight is 20/20, if I hadn't been so focused that this moved needed to be done today, I'd have waited til a unit I wanted became available bc $60/mo and a crowded basement is better than $100/mo and still not being able to move everything in. So, I'm sure this isn't a big issue for y'all bc your team members weren't really the root of the issue, I just wanted someone to be aware. In the future customers should be given a reservation# and prorating the units when a customer is simply swapping units is just flat out good customer service. It's the 7th of the month and Im basically paying for a 5x5 unit I no longer have access to. Shame on a company like U-haul that takes advantage of their customers like that, especially in this day and age. Disappointed bc I expected better than that from them. Regards, Christina Bennington
