Hello, I had no issues with the locations or staff they were all great, however I am extremely unsatisfied with the reservation and logistics end of my transaction. I reserved my pick up location for Clearwater Fl over 2 and a half months prior and not only was I unable to pick up there I had a much later pick up time over 45 minutes away from my requested location. This caused a major inconvenience and added expense in my travel plans. I would like to know why I was allowed to reserve a pick up for one time and location and was not told until the day before pick up that it wasn't possible. This is unacceptable and I feel I should be compensated for my inconvenience and expenses. James Kelly 908-494-6911
JAMES KI was dropping off the car trailer at night. I know there was no workers, but it was so packed that I could barely park a car trailer there is a lack of space. The U-Haul in Linden should be more bigger.

Paul DI reserved over the phone and it was the worst experienced. I was told I would be able to pick a u-haul van after hours by 2 different agents and I wasn't. I spent time and money following their instructions only to have to wait until the next day rent the truck and take time from work in order to use the truck because I needed it the night before so I had to instead pick up what I needed the next day. clearly customer service phone ops are not aware of policies and procedures because I was not ablate pick a u-haul van after hours.

ANTONIO GThe staff was extremely unwelcoming and rude. As I came in, one of them was eating a sandwich, while the other one was looking at his phone. I said I had made a reservation online and wanted to take the van I had ordered. The man mumbled something I didn't understand. His colleague answered in poor English and her mouth full, so I didn't understand her either. I told her that, and she took offense. I finally understood that they were telling me that I couldn't park there. I eventually understood that I was supposed to park my car in the residential area behind, which didn't look very safe to me. Meanwhile, we continued the tedious process of getting my van. I had the nerve to ask a few questions that were answered again by mumbling, for example: I was told I needed to estimate the mileage, which I did. I asked "what if it turns out to be less", and the answer was "I don't know". It took me a while to understand the question of whether I wanted the insurance or not, which I had already opted for online, and again, to understand that they needed my phone number, which was also in the details of my reservation. They gave me a key to a 15' truck, I told them it was too big, then again, we went back inside, process, process, process, question "is it going to cost me less", answer "$10", question "$10 what", answer "$10 less, oh I don't know, you'll see, mumble, mumble..." and then eventually I got a new key for a much easier van to drive. I came back earlier drove 60 miles instead of 100, and paid around $130 for a van instead of $150 for a 15' truck. So yes, "$10". Worst experience ever, I went for the cheap $29.99 6 hour rental, which cost me almost 4 times more and a lot of unnecessary stress.

Arthur LThere needs to be a better system for those who make reservations. Those that just walk in to get a truck should not be allowed to because those that have reservations are standing in line waiting. What's the point of a reservation if it's not going to be available.

Wilson, the manager, identified the problem immediately as he was helping to get the the trailer hitched outside. He fixed the problem, hitched the trailer and got me on my way quickly. Absolutely fantastic! Upon return, the check in was easy and efficient. Great crew!

Henry JMy rental.was changed to Hillside and their trailer was defective. They refused to give me another trailer because it was a one way. U haul has a guarantee. I had to transport stuff for a wedding. Sherri from traffic sent me back to Linden but never put the reservation in. Linden could not be reached because they didnt answer the phone, a few calls were made. The worker Jose at Linden was extremely rude. I had a reservation number but Sherri didn't put it in the system. I called Hillside to confirm and he wouldn't talk to the employee that put the reservation in. I called Sherri and he wouldn't talk to her either. Instead of working to handle my situation Jose began talking to a woman in Spanish, that came in the store. The woman brushed pass me as I was standing there, with no help from Jose. He said it's a one way, then he continued to ignore me. I told him that I reserved the trailer a few weeks prior, with him. I felt discriminated against at that point because I was not Spanish speaking. He left me there for an additional 15min while he catered to the woman, with him telling me nothing. His behavior was so disrespectful that I felt victimized. When he finally decided to rent me the trailer, he wanted me to wait to accommodate the Spanish customer first. He told me she had waited. I told him that I waited at Hillside and I waited there at least 30 minutes prior to the woman. That's when I told him that I would be making a complaint. He doesn't deserve to.work for u haul. He lacks customer service and is discriminatory to non Spanish speaking customers. He never tried to find out what was going on with my rental. I have been in customer service for 32 years and I shouldn't have to ever deal with Jose. This experience with Uhaul was a complete disgrace.

JEAN BI had a 9am appointment. The doors were locked when I arrived, I had to call customer service to change my appointment to truck share. I had ordered mattress bags online; at 9:15 an employee finally showed up without any remorse or urgency. When the truck I had reserved via truck share was blocked in the employee gave me another key but didn’t change the truck in my reservation so mid way through the pictures and mileage I had to go back in the store to force them to change the truck so I could actually get through the check in process and take the truck. The truck was not well maintained, the whole time it was giving me tire monitor system errors and over all drove terribly. My move went smoothly no thanks to anyone at this location and I was happy to return the decrepit truck. Over all the truck was barely usable and the staff was aloof and unapologetic about being late. Terrible experience. This was 1/1/25

VIVIANA AI walked into the building and there were no employees on site for ten mins. Even though the building was wide open and unlocked. An employee named jennifer finally showed up and had the worst attitude ever, she was extremely rude and you could tell she doesn't care about her job at all very unprofessional. She gave us a truck that had a broken seat belt and then when we came back to exchange it we got another rude employee jose who also was unprofessional. I would advise someone from corporate evaluate this locations employees and management to be honest I couldn't belive how rude both it's employees were. On top of that the vehicle were extremely dirty inside with broken seat belts but still in service, super unsafe but still in use and no one cares. The second vehicle has something wrong with the traction stability and the error message just kept flashing on the dashboard the entire time. The locations employees are the worst and the vehicles are not being inspected for safety before they rent them to customers my advice would be to stay as a customer and I will also post this to on Google
ALLEN Dthe lady told me that i had to clean my own truck full of snow. The windshield and entire roof of the truck was covered with snow. Dangerous to drive and illegal to drive with snow on the vehicle for the safety of others. I asked the lady if she would clean it, she then told me i have to clean it with my own tools. I would expect uhaul to provide a clean vehicle. Never going to that location.

BRIGITTE GThey are terrible especially the gentleman that works there always have an attitude. 2 weeks prior to this rental he told me he had no 10ft truck. When I called customer service she said there was 3 at that location. I wouldn’t recommend them at all. that’s my last time going to that one.
ERNEST WThe truck, although working, was beat up. The ride was choppy. It had over $135,000 miles. The store manager was cranky. I like the U Haul franchise & usually my experience has been better. Also there is no parking on the facility & was uncomfortable parking my car in a high crime area. Will not go back to the Linden location.
DAVID CFill the vehicle up when the customers come to pick up the rental. This way, you will not take advantage from customers by having the customers bring the vehicle with more gas by fear of having vehicles empty on the road. In my case, I was given the vehicle with 1/4 of tank, I brought it back with 3/4 of thank. This is a 40 gallons truck. I should have been able to receive a credit for that.To the next customer you’re going to mark it 3/4 of tank when giving them.
JOSEPH AIt wasn’t the upkeep or accessibility. The space is just oddly shaped and you should allow actual viewing of the space online. It was too late to undo the purchase I made online and even if it wasn’t you had no larger ones onsite and they are way too expensive either way. I had to throw things away that could not fit
