Get sales ppl who know how to connect a trailer to a vehicle. Maybe have them watch the YouTube video? We thought something was wrong when we heard chains dragging on pavement, so we stopped at a U Haul store in CA. They said we had the wrong ball attachment and used the little rubber things to secure the chains.

Same as the pick up. This location had two employees but were waiting on only one customers each but these customers were just, well I’m not sure how they got their DL. Finally I just interrupted after 45 minutes. I should have been able to remotely check the gear in even during normal hours.

Pick up of our 4x4x8 trailer was so easy. Just an fyi…it’s noisy when the trailer is empty but once you have it loaded and driving to your destination, it’s very quiet. It was super easy to pull behind our SUV and easy to maneuver.

The service was great on pickup, the reservation was easy, great equipment selection, the use of the trailer was easy, in excellent condition and worked perfectly for my equipment pickup and move. Upon returning the trailer, the drop of was easy and quick! The entire experience was 100%, just the way I like it! Great job by all involved!

First off my experience with uhaul, which is by no means my first, was exceptionally good (excellent) this time. This time in particular was great. The 2 gents working that Dunday were very professional and good at what they do. They made the process of picking up and dropping off seamless.

The people in the store are terrific! There is too much emphasis in going to the u haul website/app to check in. It borders on the ridiculous that I am talking to someone with my reservation on the computer and we are trying to check in with apps that are not reliable. It took quite a long time just to get the keys and move on.

Terrible experience.. went to pick up a van self-checkin was a nightmare.. your average person could not do this. Luckily one of the guys working there help me but it still took way too long to check the van out... Then when I check back in the app tried to charge me for cleaning and a mileage premium which was incorrect... Will never rent with You haul again

My on time return was not processed correctly resulting in a five day overcharge to my credit card. Manager had to review video to confirm I had returned as agreed. My credit card charge was reversed but not to the correct amount!

I go to this location when I can. Great team of friendly snd knowledgeable people who go out of their way for you. They have a great selection and usually have the larger trucks as well. Check the Vehicle make sure that tires are inflated to the correct pressure and they are not smooth as to create a driving hazard. I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes for them to send roadside assistance which took another 40 minutes to replace the tire that was not roadworthy .

They gave us a truck with a check engine light a checking tire light and a headlight out, that we then got pulled over for, the gm screamed at us on the phone telling us it is our fault for not asking questions about the thing when we had the uhaul, however ignoring the fact we tried to call them no less then 20 times to no answer, I repeat I will not recommend this location, the way we were treated was ridiculous, and my family business on harbor city boulevard will not be doing business with them either , in case we there are multiple gms this is her name: Terran Shinn. Multiple customer service representatives were appalled when we called Multiple times about this incident claiming that this behavior is not tolerated

Joshua was a superstar and went above and beyond to help a bad situation go as good as possible. I offered him a cash tip but he refused and said he was happy to help. I didn't catch his name but another guy in the hitch area went the extra mile to help out.

They were open during memorial day and also stayed until 7pm which is beyond the usual store close time of 6pm. The move in process was smooth. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly & accommodating.

The contents were totally owned by someone else and I unfortunately got stuck with the rest of the bill. I opened it for him and for 2 years he faithfully paid Uhaul and then he fell I'll and had more medical bills and unfortunately couldn't keep up with the uhaul bill. I actually paid was was due fully and because I couldn't take any of the contents nor wanted them...Uhaul wouldn't just seek them. I had an argument with uhaul and uhaul didn't care about my concern at all They said they had a business to run and won't sale the contents it was my job to get rid of the content. They would ad more charges to me and keep billing me. I during the time my buddy was paying the bill..I have suffered through 3 strokes sold my truck and lost my job was left paying the bill. I told the uhaul they were being "WOKE" and stubborn and I knew they would sell the contents and they still said No. After a few months later ..guess what. They did sell the contents. Although they have refused to admit it from the beginning..turns out they did finally after trying to stick to their gun and refused to admit it ... I doubt they will reprint this for the whole public to see how erroneous UHAUL really is. But with way I will never ever use their services ever again and won't ever sing praises about them ever again They have their policies and are afraid you all will know the truth. They had a printed section they sent to me that says this to cover Their Butts: Please Note: All comments are final and cannot be edited. You are allowed to comment one time for each move-out. Feedback can be left for up to 60 days following a move-out. Please contact the U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback.

Not sure why it is necessary to check in at 2 different areas. I guess one checked you in and the other opened the door. It seems that could be reviewed. The price kept increasing a couple of times which caused us to get out quicker. I believe the pricing is higher than in other places. For what we needed - we wanted to move to a smaller area but the price was only $5 difference and it wasn't worth the time to move. I believe if we were able to move to a smaller space with a significant dollar change we would have done that and probably remained awhile longer. Other than that, everyone is courteous and helpful.

I’d recommend the lower storage rooms for heavy items. It’s a bit inconvenient to have to roll stairs to the upper units, but our items were not bulky so it worked out fine.

This was the worst experience ever. The assistant manager needs to be fired immediately. I did not accept the storage unit as she would not let is park at the door to unload a full 26’ truck. Sure told new I have to park an 1/8 mile bedding the building Walk the distance to the front of building them all the way to the door to go they to load all the way to the Unity at the farthest end. One dolly at a time. She’s crazy and rude and she was so rude and mean to other customers as well. The line was backed up for service. She set me back almost two hours. I want a reading immediately. I am considering removing my donation storage I have had for years in Park Bay location because this service was the worst at The Melbourne location. I will be going straight to corporate about this matter once I Ann finished doing this clean out today. An entire household was donated to my non profit. It was too much to distribute to the families in need of these items. So we needed to store it. She was absolutely the worst service I have ever had in all my 58 years. I have been doing business with Uhaul a very very long time.

The facility is very clean and convenient to get to from our home. However, the staff were extremely rude and not very helpful when it came to moving into our unit. We did not feel welcomed or, accommodated in any capacity. The gentlemen on staff during 9/8 and 9/9 just seem to be very unhappy individuals who are on a power trip or, dislike their job? They ignored us when we walked in. My husband walked to the counter for assistance and was snapped at by the gentlemen behind the counter. Then, was answered with one word answers to his questions. They gave us very little instruction and this was our first time at this facility. We have had storage units in the past but we wanted to be sure we were clear on instructions. Overall, we are happy to have a storage unit and we need one. But at this point, we are only using this facility because it is convenient.

It all started with renting a truck to drop off at the storage facility Truck was reserved two weeks before move date Called and spoke with various people prior to move date. No Trucks available Price for truck at UHaul $281. Force to go to Penske. Cost $800. Not a satisfied customer!

We are a group of sr citizens in a non-profit club. We could not afford to keep the type of things we store as an expense. The storage room was one above and not convenient for older ladies and was already increased in price after just a few months. The facility was all of the above and we would definitely recommend the facility to anyone we know needing their service.

only issue I had was some confusion when the 2 storage Pods were emptied emptied and relinquished. One pod remained on the billing. I had to make three efforts to get the situation cleared and it was not possible to do online. I had to come in ,stand in line and work with a human to get it cleared.

The motion sensor lights in the area of my storage locker would turn off too often and the motion sensor did not pick up motion right at my locker, so I would have to walk over to wave for the motion sensor to activate lights back on. Other then that everything was good.

As is with many companies today, understaffing is a huge issue. The employees are great but can only handle so much volume. Hire more people to shorten wait time, increase service and fulfill promises with integrity. When you have an appointment and/or a reservation make sure you show up for the customer who shows up, waits in line and then must reschedule because you are short staffed

People at the u-haul were very very nice and they worked with me as much as they could. It was my Storage unit I've had a lot of money problems and that's why I got such a small unit to put my stuff because I had no place to live but the people At u-haul we're wonderful to me. My phone was broken and I could not call back or anything to try to save my save my ear net but it was not at all their fault by any means. I have to thank them a lot for helping me over the months that they did I would always give a good review to anybody Ask me about my unit I told quite a few people to go there because the people helped so much and tried everything they could to help me keep my unit thank you again

The double keypad entry is inconvenient. Not sure why we were never offered card access, The threshold of the entry door makes it difficult when you have a full cart of items that you have to pull over that threshold. Rates are steep for what you get.

My unit got broken into twice and I lost all my belongings and seems like it was not cared about and when I went in last to talk to somebody before auction I was told to pay the balance and the only person they could talk to was my 16 yr old daughter who I listed as an emergency contact which she has no legal obligation to my contract and I asked if I could see what items where left due to the second break-in bc I was told it was pretty much empty as the first theft by a friend who rents a unit across from mine and was told I could talk to Tony the next day but he wouldn't want to talk to me bc there had been issues with him and myself I'n the past. I stopped your employee and informed him me and Tony have never spoke not got into it with one another and he looked at me as if I was crazy. I'm really upset about losing all my belongings due to theft and your employees seemed to not even be concerned and I lost everything and now I'm being way over charged . I don't think this is fair nor your business not provide a person with assistance in following up on 2 break INS so I will be contacting uhaul and making a complaint and reporting the actions being conducted as something seems odd and possibly being withheld information on what and who was responsible for the crime that was committed and how I was unheard and unit auctioned for 10 dollars and owing almost 600 and my everything stolen when I was told my belongings would be safe when I chose your facility.

The storage unit access and location of my unit is making me cancel. The unit is above another unit and had to use this metal ladder system to reach my unit. I was storing a huge Weber grill. Found another place with ground level access for half the price

I think it would be nice if the units were pro rated. If my storage fee is due on the 15th and I moved my things out on the 1st. I believe I should be credited for the time my things weren't being stored at U-haul. I will be looking for that when I need to rent a storage unit in the future.

Lesson learned! The storage unit was not what we expected. My husband could not even stand up inside the unit. It says that the unit is 6 ft high and it is not. Because we are in a hurry (and moving) we had no choice but to take the unit. We are disappointed that when we rented the storage “locker” (which we did not know what that really meant) over the phone through uhaul it was going to be so difficult to get in and out of. For a good example, my husband could not even put his fishing poles in this storage unit. We have rented multiple storage facilities over the years, and this one will be a true lesson. We feel it is misleading and they should make SURE you understand the size before renting. The parking to unload is another obstacle as there is none really and only 1 door to access the building. We must say that the staff was very helpful & nice.

Being on a budget, the prices for a second story unit were just right. However, upon inspection, I was shocked to find just how high the second story units were (the only reason they did not rate an "Excellent"), but they were all airy and spotless, as was the entire facility. Sawyer was definintely an asset; polite, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. Would not hesitate to recommend this move-in experience to anyone, even short people like myself.

Access to location is very bad. Dangerous. Hard to drive around on grounds. Tried to return unused blankets still wrapped in original packaging but took over an hour. Only able to return a out half. Manager was abrupt. Not friendly.

It was so dark in my unit that I picked up the rat poison box without seeing what it was! During my last visit the blonde girl observed a nail in my tire and tracked me down right before hurricane!

Household furnishings 3 yrs, the temperature was above the max level by a few degrees no damages. You can kick the roaches on their backs down the isles no insects in my belongings however..

Access to the main storage entrance doors was blocked most of the time by a promo to rent blankets and/ or a trailer hitch. Parking to retrieve things from storage was bad and you could get blocked in

The tracking of the containers and administrative part of the u-haul rental experience seems to be disconnected. Multiple phone calls to uhaul about on 9July lead to eternal hold or disconnects.

Customer parking can be challenging as returning trucks and trailers share the same parking area, and the facility seems to constantly have customer and rental traffic.
