Location did not have the equipment I reserved and had to get it from another location. The auto hauler that I was given had a worn out tire. I was told it was just low on pressure. On the second day of my cross-country move, I was delayed by a tire with a leak that was increasing and creating unsafe driving conditions.

MICHAEL LI reserved a 15foot truck! I received a 26foot truck. The workers at this location said there is nothing they will do about. There was five 15foot trucks in the lot. I did not need or want a bigger truck. I had a small storage unit to move! Not to mention it cost me about double in gas! My trip was from ohio to wisconsin. So it was very inconvenient for me to park the larger truck and cost me more money. The workers at the pickup location did not want to correct it!

I received a text and email when my reservation was accepted and throughout all stages of the process EXCEPT for when you changed locations for pickup and delivery. This has happened twice with UHaul now. You really should more clearly notify the customer when you change locations before pickup rather than burying it in the rental contract. It is very frustrating to drive to the requested location, when no change notification is clearly communicated, only to find out that I have to drive to another location further away. It makes for a very stressful day! A simple confirmation text with location and time would help greatly.

When I went to drop off the truck last night, there were others who had dropped off in front of the store blocking my view from the right and then a very large, poorly placed sign blocking my view from the left. The instructions state it's a yellow box on a yellow pole. Terribly inaccurate and no way someone who has just moved would like to spend their time.

It took the third attempt for the associate to go out and look. Truck assigned did not match what was assigned online. I brought this to the attention of the associate and she said it didn’t matter. My concern is that it would have I’d either truck would have had damage to it. Finally, was told truck would have full tank of gas and it only has half a tank. A very frustrating experience for a one day rental. I do not recommend this site and won’t go back.

KIMBERLY ZThis was a good experience ... especially good shout out for Asst Mgr "Kat" who was very helpful at finalizing stuff when the truck etc were returned. Just two suggestions: [1] tell customers (esp in a large lot with many available trucks) where to look on the truck for the serial (?) number of the rental ... some of us are a bit slow in figuring out that the info on the tag with the key is not the license plate number :-)! [2] inform customers that there are pads and a utility dolly provided (if needed extras) inside the truck, but that these items will not be charged and there is a system in place to alert staff if the items have been used after all. Because seeing those surprised me I drove the truck back up to the entrance to "report" those items. (There may have been explanatory info on those "extra" items, but the surprise factor overrode taking time to read whatever there might have been.)
DANNY TFirst the car carrier trailer was connected by the employee that forgot to connect the safety chains and left the chains hanging down. Second, there is something wrong with the tires on the trailer as it constantly shook when going over 35 mph Third, one of the ramps pulled out of the trailer completely on the ground. I have rented approximately 20 of these trailers in the past so I know what to expect. This trailer never should have been rented and that employee needs more training or you’ll have a lawsuit on your hands from another customer.

This makes it VERY inconvenient for customers who do not live nearby. My low rating is due to the lack of proper customer service exhibited by the entire staff at the Uhaul staff under the prior manager ... it is not based upon the current manager. Please answer the telephone during business hours so customers do not have to drive 30 miles round trip just to ask questions about their rental unit. To be fair, I never really dealt with the new manager or current staff at the Springboro Pike location.

These improvements include notifying tenants of impending construction activities and being more attentive to follow through on move out requests initiated on a mobile device. Lastly, the design of the rear dock now covered area makes it more difficult for patrons to enter (e.g. backing in) with a trailer into the loading dock. Why two openings when a single opening allows for the entire loading dock to be accessible, now it's limited by the center section, a poor design choice.

When we pulled up to the loading dock, we saw some traffic cones on their sides and caution tape strewn around haphazardly, but we ignored it because--again--the loading dock was the only reason we chose this facility. While unloading, Evan Goode walked up to us and asked us to move our U-haul truck. We asked him why, and he told us that there would be construction done in that area very soon and the workers would need to get in the area. When I asked him when the workers were expected to arrive, he said "sometime this week." I could not believe it. When we asked if there was anything he could do, or if he could instead give us a call when the workers arrive, he began to debate us about the proper treatment of traffic cones, saying "what do you do when you see traffic cones on the street?" We asked him if we could finish up our load before leaving and he said that he couldn't wait around all day--it seemed as if he wanted to get home and didn't want to help us. As the conversation went on, he threatened to tow our vehicle if we did not move. We were forced to move our vehicle to the front, which was VERY far from our unit. The worst part is that after we left, we looked around back and saw that the construction workers had not even arrived yet. My wife and I moved out whole house together without any help, after I had injured my knees, and Evan found a way to make our lives even harder. In the future, I would recommend that Evan understand that people who are in the process of moving are usually not having a good time; they are hot and sweaty and tired and do not need extra stress. I would absolutely not recommend this facility to anyone.

The Manager Chelsea Holmann was disrespectful using foul language, calling me a liar when I went to her for help on more than 3 occasions to fix the IT problem keeping me from accessing my account. She told me to “make up addresses” and other information so she lacks honesty, certainly has NO INTEGRITY AT ALL. When calling to see the rent was paid since I lived out of town, I was hung up on, verbally abused and overall, he general staff was NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE at all as to how to do the job they were charged with doing, making it even more difficult. There were 2 young men who were always finding themselves apologizing for the problem with my account and doing a nice job. But unfortunately, they also felt the need to apologize for Chelsea’s lack of management and nasty behavior. Overall, I will NEVER EVER recommend nor use U-Haul again and will do everything I can to discourage anyone I know from using the Miamisburg U-Haul so they don’t have similar problems. As I stood for over an hour waiting to be helped because people were on smoke breaks, didn’t know how to handle storage issues or whatever the excuses were that day. Chelsea hires many who have her same disposition; gravely flawed… but she works well with those people. Unfortunate that customers suffer!

I also called uhaul to get a truck last month and when I got there they said they had no tricks that went one way. No one offered me any other option but to pay my storage unit for me to pay another month. I drove two hours got off work for the whole move and then I got a call from customer service rep who just lectured me in stead of giving any apology for the staffs rudeness and unwillingness to help . Maybe have 3 people , one person extra thats p/t to help with line. Website also does not always work to check in, by pass line too. One person knows everything there and most of the others not so much and always has to stop and help that person on the pc. Give them better training on the system so they can be just as efficient. Just my 2 cents.
