Please have friendly staff who are willing to go above and beyond to be helpful .This location had no dolly's available ans another customer offered in line helped me find a location to rent one .The cashier assisting me literally voced how much he hated his job.I had to turn on 2 other trucks before I got one that worked and when I did I was sent on my way with no instructions.I then found out after returning the u haul I was over charged mileage because I was not aware of the link to document mileage. I then proceeded to another location in Fresno where service was great even though I was just there to pick up a dolly to rent .I will never return to Blackstone u haul horrible experience

ALEXANDER CI only wish this management would take over the 6116 N Blackstone Ave @ Bullard site. These folks always have Prompt service (despite a sketchy location), amicable Manager. and they keep enough equipment on site to accommodate a last minute rental. I'm in the frequent flyer club, so I'm fairly well known with the owners. Here and in Sacramento. I'm just over a mile from the North Blackstone site, however, unless I'm simply returning out of town equipment, I loath to use it. Honestly I just wanted a pick up truck and would have spent much more money to get one. I'm the type of guy who wouldn't think twice about a $5k deposit if I could get one on short notice to use for a couple of hours. If someone damages your stuff, hold their feet to the fire to get it paid for. That's just good business. My record with your equipment speaks for itself. I know you can't vet every customer, but I've spent enough to that if this was a different business, I would have received the next one free. More managers like this one. I did see a transfer truck as I returned my equipment this time. Consider telling the guy at 6116 North Blackstone to get one of these to accommodate transferring equipment from yard to yard. Stop disincentivizing that sort of practice. Overall your customer service sucks. I've been turned down flat when attempting to rent from some (see above) locations. He didn't even suggest they could find something local. That should never, ever happen with a rental company of your size. There are a few jewels in the franchises, Sacramento Main yard, and this on on 749 N Blackstone stand out as exceptions.
BERYL JMake sure the trailers is clean for sure. The trailer I got had broken glass and not clean before use. I had some pictures if you needed. But thank you for the trailer.
Cha CThe crew on the south Blackstone is much easier than north Blackstone It is worth driving to the less desirable part of town for that alone

GURMEET SI am not pleased with the truck I was given. I was not able to drive the truck on the freeway because it would shake excessively once it reached 60 miles per hour. I had to take surface streets which made my moving process take so much longer. Not happy at all about this.

NYHIA LWhen I walked in, I waited over 10 minutes to find an employee. When I did find one, she was in the yard and yelled at me to go wait inside. Then I waited inside for another 10 minutes before she and another male employee both walked in. The male employee that came to help me was very slow and called me "Boss" about 38 times in the 20 minute ordeal. I requested a 5x10 trailer and he ended up renting me a smaller one. But by the time I realized he set me up for the smaller one when he walked me out to it, I just went with it because I needed a trailer and didn't want to endure another 20 minutes. Next time, I'll just buy a harbor freight trailer.

HUBERT RThe manager of the store was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered at u- haul ever . He kept telling me he had no trailer when I clearly had a reservation for the trailer that was sitting there . I gave him my reservation number & he kept making excuses that the trailer was reserved for he next day to someone else while we only needed it for a few hours in town . He ended up transferring us to another of his employees, who then continued the attitude then realized that his manager was wrong . We ended up with a trailer but not the one we needed . Upon returning trailer in just a few hours the manager refused to take trailer off so he sat for 30 minutes until someone else came & unhooked trailer . I will never go back to that u-haul or recommend them at all . I use u-haul a lot so this was very disappointing to say the least ..

THIAS SThe uhaul rented to me was not inspected and had the gas siphoned out of it prior to my rental of it. The siphon tube was still in the gas tank below the vehicle, which caused me to leak gas after I filled it.
Rachel WThe pick up location was good and the customer service was excellent. The only problem I had was that the truck said it had a quarter tank of gas but was completely empty. I was given enough gas to get me to a gas station. I was also given the wrong truck and was told to return the truck but the truck was already packed. Fortunately Uhaul costumer services intervened and honored the original discount they offered me . I also had to call Uhaul roadside services because the truck I was given was leaking gas. They fixed the gas tank which explained why the gas was on empty when it was given to. Everything was a bit of a problem from switching my original smaller truck reservation and pickup location to being given a 26 foot truck that was defective. However, I am gam thankful they honored the discount they offered and roadside fixed the mechanical issue. So I would recommend Uhaul for their excellent customer service.
ANNA SThe truck I rented needs engine to be serviced. It stalled and turned off on me 3 times in the middle of the intersections. I called road service and they sent a technician to check the truck and confirmed the truck had multiple miss fires in the engine. Unfortunately I couldn't exchange the truck for another on3 because it was full of my belongings.

STEVEN HI would suggest you inspect equipment completely. The trailer we rented had a broken spring and made the ride a little rough.

RUXANDRA SWe received the U-Haul on empty and were told to just bring it back with a 1/4 tank of gas. It ran out of gas on the after driving for a mile and we had to buy small gallons to fill it up just to get to a gas station.

Jerold KAnother fair overall experience with U-Haul... except... the location was supposed to open at 7:00 and although someone was there, the doors were locked and he didn't come out until about 7:20 and then proceeded to set up the outside supplies before heading inside to write the contract. About 25 minutes wasted. Not great, but not that huge of a deal for me on this day. Hooked up the trailer and left and returned it a couple hours early. Again, it first appeared that he was the only one working, but when I went inside to see why no one had approached me, at least 3 employees were in what looked like a break room. All of them saw me, but ignored me. I had to wait about 30 minutes to get the trailer checked in. Fast forward to the next day and I get a call from some snippy woman asking (more like telling me, if you know what I mean) "where is MY trailer that you were supposed to return yesterday at 3 p.m.?" I told her that "I returned HER trailer yesterday at about 1 p.m. and if she couldn't find it, that was on her". She replied, "oh, is that right?" to which I said, "yeah, I have the receipt that shows it returned. Maybe you should look around your lot". She stated, "anybody can make a receipt" (really?) "I am going to look around my lot" and she hung up on me. Yeah, maybe you should have done that in the first place. So, I think I'm just going to go buy a trailer so I can avoid this nonsense. I will also try to avoid using this location in the future. I don't need snippy phone calls from people that don't check their inventory before calling a customer and essentially accusing them of stealing their equipment.

SHIRLEY NI received a call a day before pick up, to drop off the truck in a different location. They said they will add more miles for us to drop it off. We got charged 8 miles over...??? like you asked us to drop off as favor to the store. The truck itself was good no complaints there.

So then we stayed for a long time as they tried to figure it out. They proceeded to charge us again and now I have multiple charges on my card.

She even said her boss told her a pick up was coming in so why wouldn't her boss make sure she knew how to process that kind of customer. I'm an employer myself and I would never leave a brand new employee alone who was not capable yet of helping a customer. She deserves better!

Never again i will be looking for a new unit
